Isolation Amplifier in multisim 10 library

How can I get the component ISO122p in the multisim 10 library

I do not know which version of MS you have, but in my Power Pro version there are a few simular types already there i.e ISO121G. Look under ANALOG>SPECIAL FUNCTION.
If you can't specifically use these , maybe you can modify one of them to the ISO122P parameters. This would definitely be a whole lot easier than  trying to create this from scratch.
I have not located a model for your specific IC so creating one from scratch or modifying an existing one could be your only option unlkess someone has already created on and wishes to share.
Let me know if your version has these and if not I will post one of them for you to modify.
Also look at the website in my signature and see if there may be one there or request it on that forum and see if someone has one.
I hope some of this helps.

How can I get the component LTC1060 in the multisim 10 library ?

    ahnsei ,
This is a switched capacitor filter - with a variety of configurations for each mode of operation based on the switching frequency.   To create a transistor level SPICE model would be unrealistic (which is probably why you haven't found one), so I would suggest looking at the datasheet and specifically, looking at each mode of operation and seeing if you can approximate the filter topology with an expression for the transfer function given in the datasheet (by calcuting based on the switching frequency).
Based on the expression you get, you can use the Multisim component "TRANSFER_FUNCTION_BLOCK" to plug in the correct transfer function and thus approximate the behavior of the filter in the circuit.
This transfer function can be found in the Master database -> Sources -> CONTROL_FUNCTION_BLOCKS.   There was a previous discussion giving some additional details on how to setup the transfer function block:

  • Creating an RF Amplifier in Multisim

    Hello,
I am trying to design an RF transformer in multisim. It is named TK1235 or also 42IF123 in the attached pdf. I tried using the user manual (page 298 of 374483a.pdf) but i am not sure how do i go about defining the values that are specified in the datasheet. Can someone guide me on this issue??
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi Kush,
In order to design a transformer in Multisim you need to have the SPICE model for the part. Another option is to use one of the parametrizable components in the library and edit its footprint.
Hope you find this answer helpful,

  • Is there any library with new components for download and put into multisim? I need ISO124 and I don't know how to make it...

People, I am not experient on Multisim and I'd need help to make one component. First, is there any library or something for me to download components that are necessary and are not there? If there isn't, can someone help me to find ISO 124 (isolation amplifier) for simulation and PCI??
    Thank You!

    Leocechet,
The ISO 124 from Burr Brown (now part of TI) is one of my favorite ICs (although noisy)... I would check on the TI website and if no luck do a general google search to see if there is anything similar out there for SPICE models.
If I remember correctly the ISO124 uses a proprietary capacitive isolation barrier (mod/demod across barrier). The signal chain and performance of the ISO 124 may be difficult to mimic with a standard opamp model, but you can try as a start.
If creating my own I would use a standard opamp model and then use a voltage controlled source to model the isolation barrier (again it wouldn't be that sophisticated but you could possibly add to it).
Hopefully that will get you started. If you find a model and need help in importing it let us know.

  • Timestep too small (chopper stabilized amplifier)

    Hi All
I am trying to design a chopper stabilized amplifier using Multisim 7.
My circuit works before the amplifer stage. Today, I added a modulator, and every time I simulate, I get a "timestep too small" error message.
I tried increase the end time in transient analysis setting, but nothing works
I attached my circuit to this email, could someone please give me some assistant? I would be really appreciated
    Thanks

    Hi Tien
What verion of multisim are you using? I am using Multisim7
I tried the steps in the knowledge based for fixing the timestep too
small problem, unfortunately, it still can't solve the problem
For circuit4, I need to modify my Voltage control voltage source in order to fix the problem.
Now, I add a demodulator to my circuit which is just the same circuit as the modulator. Unfortunatly, I am getting the same "time step too small" problem again
Is there any other way to resolve this problem? I am running out of idea
I attached my circuit with the message,  thanks in advance for your help

  • Some ic's are not available in Pakistan. Need help.

Sir I wanted to ask you if you can help us on Chaotic Pulse Position Modulation we have made our circuit but we are having grave issues with the ic's. Our circuit is little bit complicated, and some ic's are available in Pakistan. Semester will be completed in December, and we have to submit that complete circuit before the Exams. Please reply me if you can help me regarding this topic.

    Hi Ezzan,
I reviewed the circuit you attached. The only components that are missing in Multisim's component database are:
    - SMP04EP Sample and Hold Amplifier. You can find a Spice Model for it in this link and create your own component.
    http://www.analog.com/en/specialty-amplifiers/sampletrack-and-hold-amplifiers/smp04/products/product...
    - SN74LS123 monostable multivibrator. SPICE models are not available by the manufacturer but you can replace by the generic component CD4538BCM in Multisim's library for your simulation.
I don't know about components availability in the market, but my advice to you is before you start designing your circuit to make sure the parts you are going to use or replacements for them are available in the market unless you are going to stop at the simulation stage and not implement it in hardware.
    Good Luck,

  • How to create a new component using SPICE?

People, I don't know how to create a new component using SPICE.
I know that it's possible to create a new component and use a SPICE code, but I don't know how to do this very well, and I need the TI ISO124 (Isolation Amplifier), and I have no idea on how to do that. Can somebody help me? I need to develop a layout.
    Thank you!!

    Hi,
Here is a tutorial that explains in details how to create your own component in Multisim using a SPICE model.

  • Strange issue with Apple ID in iTunes and Safari

I have a client who recently has had a very odd issue with his Apple ID.  He is unable to purchase any music from the iTunes store on his MacBook Pro running 10.9.4 and iTunes 11.3.  When he tries to purchase a song from the iTunes store, he enters in his correct apple id and password but itunes just returns right back to the login window with blank fields.  There is no error message about using an incorrect password or apple id.  When we try to log in to the Manage Apple ID page using Safari, we get the exact same thing.  No error, just goes right back to the login screen like nothing happened.  We can, however, log in to the site using another browser like Firefox or Chrome without issue.
I have done some extensive troubleshooting and isolated it to the user library since itunes and safari work fine in a test account we created.  I've tried pulling all seemingly related pref files, application support files, caches, keychain items, the safari folder, etc.  Basically if it was in the user library and had safari, apple id or itunes in the file name, I pulled it.  This didn't fix the issue.  I was able to temporarily fix the issue by pulling pretty much everything from the user library folder's application support and preferences folders.  Everything worked for a little while but then the issue returned.
Does anyone have an idea what file could be going corrupt so quickly that is causing both safari and iTunes to no longer log in with his Apple ID?
    Thanks in advance!

Sometimes resetting an Apple ID password can help >  Apple - My Apple ID
If that doesn't help, from the iTunes menu bar click Store > Sign Out
Restart the Mac, launch iTunes then sign in again.

  • How can i get iPhoto to work? It locks up after I launch it every time single time.t

iPhoto has gone nuts!! it will not work and keeps locking up. Open the program and within a few seconds i get the spinning wheel of death. i have tried the basic fixes, the ones you get with you hold down command and options at launch, like rebuild library ect.
What can i do?? I have several thousand photos here and i do have a time machine backup.

Correct, the plists don't work in Mavericks the way they used to. Good news is, we've isolated it to that specific library. You said you already went through the rebuilds, lets try to do them again, but one at a time in a specific order.
    1) Repair Permissions
    2) Repair Database
    3) Rebuild Database
If that still doesn't work, try running these steps from TS4040:
    1) Run Software Update and install all updates (including the OS X Lion v10.7.4 Update, or later) until it reports "Your Software is Up To Date."
    2) Open the Get Info inspector for the account's Home folder:
In Finder, select Go > Home or press Shift Command H (⇧⌘H).
In Finder, select File > Get Info or press Command I (⌘I).
    3) If needed, click the disclosure triangle to expand the "Sharing & Permissions:" section of the Get Info window.
    4) If needed, click the padlock icon in the lower right corner of the Get Info window.
When prompted, enter an admin user name and password, then click OK.
    5) From the Action menu (the cogwheel) at the bottom of the Get Info window, choose "Apply to enclosed items…"
    6) Click OK in the confirmation sheet.
    7) Wait for the process to complete.
If we're not able to access the library afterwards, I have a solution that should work, but would remove any albums, books, etc... etc... etc... that you had created in iPhoto and leave you with just your photos and events, so I'm trying to avoid that as much as possible. Let me know what happens.

  • Double Drop-down Menus

Suddenly, on my 17" MBP, the drop down menus have doubled the choices. What I mean is that when I click on the Apple on the upper left for example, instead of the menu showing "About this Mac", "Force Quit" etc., or when clicking on Safari instead of "Preferences", "Private Browsing", "Quit", etc. I see each of these choices twice! If I click on one, the chack mark appears on both.
And on the screen, whenever anything pops up that gives me an opportunity to click it, a black box appears around the button I am supposed to click. The box stays there until I click somewhere else on the screen.
I do not notice any performance issues, but wondering what the heck this could be about. I've rebooted, turn off & back on, etc., and that didn't change things.
    Thanks

OK, the problem is most likely isolated to your main User Library then. It's probably a corrupt preference file. Read this for troubleshooting it.

  • Lagging scrolling for everything in Mac OS X And Apps

hello. I just got a MBP. Out of the box it seemed slow so i used onyX to clean it up. Everything went great and it speed up alot! Now it seems the scrolling its jagged/ laggy and it quite annoying... I just re-imaged the computer today and same outcome... Any tips on fixing this would be great .

Create a new User account and login to that. Is it any faster there? If so, the problem may be isolated to your main User Library.
Have you got the two graphics circuits in that model? If so, try switching between them and see what happens.

  • Scxi 1120 low pass filter specs for anti aliasing

    Hia,
I'm am currently finnishing the development of a multi channel spectral analysis unit and I am concerned about aliasing. I have observed that the 1120 isolation amplifiers that I am using have a two position low pass filter for 4Hz and 10kHz now my problem is this, I'm sampling at 25600Hz and thus need to attenuate the signals by 12800, as i am using a 16bit AD card to be able to maximise its resolution I need to attenuate the signals to -92 dB  (or -96 dB  I can't remember which one) by this frequency.
does anyone have details of the 1120's 10kHz filter? can I get away with using this or do I need to use a speciallist anti aliasing filter (which wouldn't be as tough a filter as I am only interested in signals up to 5kHz so I could have a much slower roll off)\
    Cheers
    Any help would be appreciated
90% of all experts aggree that 1 out of 10 experts are wrong

The specific characteristics of the SCXI-1120 are not available because the filter is not high-performance since it is designed speicifically for noise rejection. From the SCXI-1120 user's manual (http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/320425d.pdf), you can see that there are two lowpass filter stages, and then there is also a bandwidth limitation imposed by the amplifiers. The two filter stages are simple RC filters, so I would doubt that the roll-off is steep enough to reach -92dB attenuation at 12.8kHz. I would recommend either designing your own first stage filter, like you had mentioned, or find a way to increase your sample rate.

  • Can I re-direct the output of a UMI-7764 AO to another board (6233) AO?

I have an existing application which I am trying to update to isolate
the motor / encoder / servo amplifier from PC ground.  To this end
I have installed opto-isolation circuitry and power isolation on the
UMI-7764 to isolate my digital IO signals.  I still have a leakage
path from the AO on the 7764 to the servo amplifier.  I do have a
PCI-6233 in this setup, used for measuring isolated analog
signals.  Is it possible to modify my labview control software to
re-direct the AO from the 7764 to the 7233 AO to isolate the signal
using the Configure Axes Resources.flx?  Otherwise a hardware
route will need to be taken using an isolation amplifier (not
    preferred).
Thanks in advance for any insight.
    -Stefan

    Hi Stefan,
Unfortunately you will not be able to route the AO Ground through your 6233 if you are using our FlexMotion subVIs.  These VIs have been specially designed to work with our Motion Controller cards so will only communicate with them.  You mention using our UMI 7764, that is simply a breakout box, which motion controller card are you using?
Also, what are you using to confirm that the AO Ground is 'leaking'?
