ISP Bandwidth Testing Issue

We just commission an STM1 link to an upstream ISP, part of the bandwidth is meant for mobile data service of a customer. The customers complain of slow download while we still have 100Mbps of capacity available. The customer did an FTP test but the result was not satisfactorily. Can any one recommend the best practice of testing this kind of connection and any possible suggestions are highly welcome on how to improve the link. The connection to upstream ISP is a BGP connection (traceroute, ping,Video streaming, etc seems to be okay).

HI, [Pls RATE if HELPS]
Download & Use the "WAN KILLER" Tool to generate the Traffic on the LInk.
You can load the LINK with "Traffic" and check for the Capability, Burst & failure rates.
Hope I am Informative.

  • EM Testing issue - urgent

I have been using jdev 11.1.1.2.
My EJB service running on dev server which has couple of methods. All the methods have been successfully tested in ejb.
I have created a SOA application.
In the composite.xml added two webservice adaptor and one mediator. In the mplan I have mapped routing rules.
Wired exposed services to mediator and mediator to external references.
I can able to test successfully (EM) all the methods except one method.
I opened the recent instances the flow trace shows, service -> completed & mediator component -> running. It never finished running. Always in running state. Why? I could not able to test the particular method.
For other methods, it shows mediator component -> completed.
I have no clue how to fix this issue. Thank you.

    Puthanampatti,
You'll probably have more luck on the SOA Suite forum.

  • Ajax Testing issue with e-Tester

I'm new to using Empirix and we are using it to work with a new site that uses Ajax. I have recorded the script fine but there is an issue with the Link that needs to be clicked on that it will either always change or the index will change. I've tried to use a wild card after the number in the link that always stays the same but when I run the tests it always shows "Used secondary attribute 'index' ". Is there a way to get this to stop showing every time or get it to always use this attribute?

  • Testing issue

Hey, I was installing gnome-network-manager from testing, and I may have stumbled upon a slight glitch, it seems that many of the files (all relating to dhclient files) are already on the system. I belive this has to do with the dhcp/dhclient packages (not sure which one, I will check when I get home) and the dhcdbd package conflicting. I will look into this further when I get home. I tried to file a bugreport, or at least sign up so that I could file a bug report if it became obvious that it was a bug (I am not sure that it is, all that is needed is that dhcp/dhclient may need to be added as a conflicting package.) In any case I just wanted to post to see if anyone else was having this problem, and to find out how to subscribe to file for Bugs.

  • Bandwidth test with ttcp

    Hi!
I have internet connection on my cisco 2811 router, and i want to test bandwidth of this connection. Recenty i heared about ttcp tool. I tried it, but i saw bandwidth something about 7 Mb/s, but really connection greater then 20 Mb/s (must be 30 Mb/s). Mybe somebody know how i can test bandwidth? I can install server only from one side. PS: Also i tried to use ip sla ftp operation, but i achiev only 10 Mb/s, i can't continue test, becouse CPU was loaded on 95%

There are many, many variables that affect observed "bandwidth" (or, more accurately, throughput).
The 2811 by itself is more than capable of handling the full rate of your connection. See this report.
To properly test bandwidth definitively, you need to be in control of and able to isolate all of the variables - test equipment capabilities, local and remote LAN segment load, device under test, upstream devices, other systems currently using the same connection(s), etc.
An easier path is to just neasure your day to day performance (thus establishing a performance baseline) and monitor that for both performance (as observed by the polling and as perceived by your users) and availability. Something simple like a Nagios monitoring tool installation can be used for that. If performance is fine, no need to dig any deeper. If it isn't then start looking into the variables I mentioned above.
    Hope this helps.

  • RV042 bandwidth management issues

I am trying to set up my router to grant http traffic a minimum banwidth of - for example - 5,000 kBit (if there is any http traffic).
So I set http min. rate to 5,000 while I set nntp min. rate to 1 (see enclosed screen shot)
However, when I run nntp downloads on several connections (e.g. 10) my single http download never goes above 1,000 kBit. Without any other connections I reach 8,000 kBit.
Btw. I am using a single 12 MBit line.
    What is wrong?
    Thank you for your help!
    Otto

I am looking at your setting and it seems that the router is functioning properly. It has a lot of other factors that you are not thinking about also. If you do a speed test what are the speeds that you are getting? If you move the router out of place and do the same time what are the down load speeds that you are getting?
Also I see that when you have only the single one downloading you want to get the speed for the max bandwidth that you have selected. If you down load this same file with the router not in place do you get the same out come? If it is different how much difference are you getting? Most of the time if your max download speed is 10 to 12 Meg, you will get roughly a third of that when downloading files. You must depend on the device at the other end also.
What were you getting before you created any of these rules?
    Thanks

  • Captivate 5 SCORM 2004 3rd Edition ADL Testing Issues

I have published a project from Adobe Captivate 5 and am currently trying to get it through the Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) 2004 3rd Edition Conformance Test Suite. I was able to pass the first part: the Content Package Conformance Test and solve the initial errors I was experiencing. However, I now have a new set of errors relating to the Sharable Content Object (SCO) Run-Time Environment (RTE) Conformance Utility Test. It appears that they all stem from:
ERROR: The Terminate() method was never successfully called.
Here is the detailed SCO test log:
Attempting to Launch SCO C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\offender_transportation6\offender_transportation.html
    Commit("") has been called
ERROR: The Communication Session is NOT initialized
ERROR: The SCO called the API methods out of order

ERROR: The SCO called the API methods out of order
    ERROR: Termination Before Initialization
ERROR: The Terminate() method was never successfully called
ERROR: The SCO is SCO RTE 1.0 Non-conformant
The project is currently set to issue a completion status to the LMS after 22 slides have been viewed. Then the project should output the Quiz Results and Slide Views to the LMS. For Project End Options I have tried both: Stop Project and End Project. I haven't been able to find any other settings in Adobe Captivate that relate to this Terminate problem.
Can anyone give me some insight into what could be causing this error?

As I tested, Captivate really cannot support 3rd Edition.
I'm not sure what's the differences between 2nd and 3rd
    Edition, but I found that Articulate's '09 series (
    http://www.articulate.com/products/quizmaker-publishing.php)
    outputs these two editions separately.
I hope Capative could update the module to treat 3rd
    specially.

  • BT Speed Tester Issue

I often use the BTW Performance test to see what my BT Profile is.
My PC is running Windows 8.1 Pro with IE11 and my laptop is running Windows 7 Pro with IE 11. (and FireFox 30).
Both machines have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player (both the IE and Firefox versions) and Sun Java installed. All the Microsoft updates are also installed.
I have recently upgraded from Infinity 1 to Infinity 2. (Past the 10 days since upgrade).
I can run the 1st part of the speed tester with no problems, but when I run the further diagnostics, it starts running then each time it displays the same error message "Your speed test has completed and the results are shown above, however during the test an error occurred while trying to retrieve additional details regarding your service. As a result we are unable to determine if the speed you received during the test is acceptable for your service. Please re-run the test if you require this additional information. "
If I re-run the test I still get the same error message. - Both IE and FF give the same error message.
    Is this website faulty ?
I have tried the usual Browser fixes of trusting the website and running it in Compatability Mode, but the same error exists.
Both my machines are running as a 'standard user', that is locked down with no Admin Rights.
Any one else having the same issues, or is the site faulty ?

This is normally a site problem and often happens. Continually trying will usually get the site to work

  • E-Test Issues

    Hi,
Iam using the e-TEST 8.20 version for testing our web based application. Iam facing some issues while palying back the recorded scripts. the errors are like Navigation failed, Times out..etc. The tool is not specifying detalied cause for the error. May be i need to change some settings, i don't know. What i observed was the errors are not the same each and every time you palyback the script. Sometimes one particular button is not clicked and sometimes some textfield failed due to not filling with values. I had used QTP earlier and was able to see the root cause for why the object is failing. May be because of this tool is working on HTTP level recording, i'm not able to see why the script is failing. Please help me if you have any suggestions/ Comments on this. Thanks in advance.

A Navigation failed usually occurs because eTester cannot find a object in the page that it needs to interact with in order to progress. For example, it may be that a link is not there or it cannot be located. Look on the page before the Navigation failed error occurs and you can look at the events in the Address Properties node - you may need to use the objects index as the location mechanism.

  • Cache Connectivity Test Issue..:-)

    Hi XI Guru's ,
Currently i am working on a scenario JDBC-RFC-JDBC scenario using a BPM.
    Issues i am facing....
    1. I have made the polling interval from source table to 10 secs, but i can see table is not getting polled in 10 secs.
    2. On running Cache Connectivity Test I found that It is not working perfectly : as i can see yellow and red symbols frequently..
    3. Sometimes when XI is able to pick the  record it is throwing error in Mapping Runtime
"Runtime Exception during application Java mapping com/sap/xi/tf/_MM_REQ_"..
I checked n no of times in Test Mapping it is working fine...
Mapping is between Async Req Object with  RFC's import parameters...on drilling down further i figured out that values are not getting passed to this RFC ...as when i passed the constant values to RFC it is working fine...
So i am not sure where the the problem ?
<b>Currently i am working on PI 7.0 and SP 9.0 ...ans also we are not using FQDN now...</b>.

    Hi Santhosh ,
    <i>
on drilling down further i figured out that values are not getting passed to this RFC ...as when i passed the constant values to RFC it is working fine...</i>
<i>On passing the constant values in mapping to RFC the scenario is moving smoothly its only the record being picked by JDBC sender adapter not getting passed to RFC through BPM....</i>
Yes. You are having  issue at  Mapping (desing )  side . So,  Even if your JDBC Sender picks up the data it won't send to RFC.  Obsolutly, your  constant value passed to RFC will woks fine .
So, Have you tested like what i have suggested  , like copying the Payload and test the mapping ?
If you are getting the java.lang.NullPointerException . I am 100% sure your mapping is wrong .  Please chek the MAPPING ONCE AGAING !
Are you getting the Target message structure when you are passing the source etructure ?  Executed successfully Message ?
Please chek the Mapping once again . Test teh Interface Mapping too.
Assing points if you found helpful

  • HANA XS - How to fix Inactive Testing issue of items not loading (when using the cookie)

Is anyone else having issues with the inactive testing using the cookie (sapXsDevWorkspace)?  My team has abandoned using it because it is causing us a lot of trouble.  It initially worked well for a few hours, but eventually it stopped loading resources.  We got errors loading the SAP js libs or even the newly commited ( but not activated) code changes.
I have seen the feedback on SCN post http://scn.sap.com/thread/3517042 but we cannot seem to fix the issue of the system not loading things.  I am on version SPS7 (1.00.70.00.386119) on AWS and I have seen it work for a short period then it seems to get flaky and stop working.   I don't understand what is causing the error to occur as I cannot make it do the same thing twice.
    Here are some screenshots:
    Cookie defined in Chrome
    Repository Name with my user:
    This is the result:
Sometimes it loads more of the files and fails later:
I verified that I logged in under the same user and the cookie name.  The system has developer_mode set to true.  Is there something we're missing?
    Jim Giffin.

    Hi Jim, Hi Matthias
we are facing the exact same problem with our project.
Jim, we had the same phenomenon that it worked for 1-2 reloads and then stopped at all.
After looking into it, I figured out, that the browser was using cached files from all resources except from the "inactive" new files, which we could access with the cookie. This made it work, however, when we refreshed again, the browser eventually removed its cache and tried to load inactive versions from files that didn't had any.
We ended up in empty responses (no content, no headers)
We are really looking forward to find some answers here, as it constantly causes trouble to work with multiple developers on the same activated code base.
Any input or suggestions are appreciated.

  • Dual ISP Bandwidth Agreggation

Hi, my name is John. We have 1 uplink connected to a Cisco 1900 series router and another 1 uplink connected to a Cisco 2000 series router. Two uplink from 2 different ISP. 1 uplink has static WAN IP while the other 1 has dynamic WAN IP. They are then link to ASA and then from ASA to switches. My question is how can i configure the routers or ASA to combine the bandwidth of two uplinks

    Hi Reza,
    Thanks for your feedback.
In the case if both uplinks are coming from the same ISP, can we use
1.dual internet links NATing with PBR and IP SLA
      https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/32186/dual-internet-links-nating-pbr-and-ip-sla
2.Load balancing using Performance Routing pfr/OER
      https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/32216/load-balancing-using-performance-routing-pfroer
In my case, since the uplinks are from different ISPs, can i do failover on either ASA or the routers, such that when 1 uplink fail, it will automatically be tracked and switch the internet traffic from the 2nd uplink?

This is the wrong forum to post to for this issue but I can still give you insight. Basically when the switch is booting it's going through Power On Self Test (POST). The failures you're seeing basically mean this section of switch ports which are connected to an ASIC are not functional and or have failed. This is a physical hardware problem and can not be resolved. At this point you'll need to open up a TAC case for RMA.

  • I have an audio bandwidth/download issue...

    Hi all,
My company maybe getting the go ahead to create many (16ish) captivate scorm courses. All of which are fully narrated. I have previously had issues with the audio, but I now have a brand new one!
The issue people had with my previous narrated course that it took too long to download. Now i have run some tests on this same course but with a preloader on to 20% based on advice people have been given on this forum. It doesn't seem to have made a difference as the preloader flashes up very shortly and then disapears, to be replaced by "Initializing LMS...". This stays on the screen for a while (about the time to download the whole thing).
Can someone tell me a) Why does the preloader disappear? b) Why does it not appear to have any obvious effect on the download time (could it be our scorm server)? c) Is is possible to change the message "Initializing LMS..." or is that my scorm server as well?
    Any help greatfully received.
    Thanks
    Chris

    Hi,
I am assuming many of your Captivate slides has audio and the audo files are continues. That is, they cover the entire duration of slide. If that is the case, here's a tip  -
    Example -
You have project of 3 slides of 5 secs each. Every slide has audio file of 5 secs each. Hence the entire project is covered with audio file.
    Tip -
In slide 2, try to begin the audio file a fraction of a second after the slide appears. Thus, once slide2 appears, let the slide 2 audio start after 0.2 secs. Try the same with slide3.
Now run your project and check if it starts playing at 20%

  • Re: Testing issues

    Hello Neil,
Well, why don't you use different repositories for testing your
packages. First, you make a delivery workspace in your development
repository and export it in a referentiel/versionning directory.
After, you import your workspace into the test repository.
For the suppliers, you can do the same if you want to manage
    different releases between packages.
If you are talking about integration testing, there is no way to
manage versions in the repository and managing it by workspaces is very
dangerous, also for your developement repository (space side effects
for example, or workspaces which can stay far from the base line).
All this can be managed by scripts and so be a little automated.
When a correction is made, it should be in the developement repository
and delivered with a new release of the package (it can be several
    projects).
I do this way from 2 years in Forte and more than 6 years in other
languages with no problem and real seperation between integration,
performance testing and developement. Just remember that during your
integration testing programmers continue to develop.
Last thing : all this can be done in the same environment and your
testing or integration reposiroties can be local.
    Hope this helps.

We're in the middle of our first big Forte project and the issue has
arisen for package testing. By "package" we mean a collection of classes
which provide some function or service or just logically belong together.
If package X is under test and needs package Y, X's tester often
cannot use the real Y. He will need to stub out Y in places to provide
the inputs his test needs, or perhaps development on Y is incomplete and
there are compile errors or missing pieces.
How is this done with Forte? Does anyone have a good testing strategy?
If this were C++, we could just link with the stubs rather than the real
deal. But because of the repository, we're forced to copy things back and
forth from plans to avoid linking with the real classes.
So far, we've come up with the idea of creating a test plan and then
taking copies of everything needed. But that's kind of ugly: for one
thing, you need to keep making your changes in the original plan and
importing them into the test plan, because if you do it the other way
around you tend to break inheritance (at least, at the class level - I
suppose you could copy individual changed methods). Another idea is to
make copies of all of our plans which hold versions of the classes, then
have them supply the test plan rather than the normal plans. That way
