Isp keeps failing every 5 minutes

My ISP keeps failing.  I can go in network diagonstics and  restart it again but sometimes every 30 seconds, the page will not load and the ISP fails.  I do not have this probelm anywhere else so I know its not my computer.  I have cleared the libary many times but the problem still happens.  Is there some thing wrong with the modem? My room mates do not have this problem as I do. Please help!

Try renew DHCP lease.

  • Airport keep disconnecting every few minutes

    Hi,
I don't know why, but my airport keeps disconnecting every few minutes, although it reconnects after that.
I'm sure there's no problem with my router since other PCs in my home are fine.
It's totally fine when I use my windows in the macbook (via bootcamp).
Anyone has the same problem or anyone knows the solution?
    Thanks.

I've had this issue for about a week and it has made my Macbook nearly impossible to use for anything other than local disk work.
Last night I tried running the standalone upgrade and it worked beautifully, however, upon booting up this AM I'm back to square one, constantly dropping the connection, ran the standalone update again and back in business with no drops.
While this is appears to be my temp workaround I don't want to be doing this on a daily basis.
HELLO APPLE what is the deal ?

  • My software (2012 quick books) keeps crashing every 5 minutes

ihave the 2.7 intel core i5    OS X lion 10.7.4

Restoring the iPad actually puts a "fresh" or "new" copy of the software (iOS) on your iPad; If you have restored the iPad in iTunes; You should have done "Setup as New iPad" not "Restore from Backup". The problem could actually exist in the backup itself.
     So if you did "Restore the iPad" from a backup; try setting up the iPad as "New iPad" and see if that makes any difference;
    hope it helps

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Check that the HDMI cable is seated correctly at each end and try another cable if the problem persists.

my phone keeps restarting every 5 minutes. how do i make it stop

Try to sync you phone with iTunes to create a new backup before it restarts.  Also try to import your photos (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083) and back up your contacts if you can (sync them to iCloud in Settings>iCloud>Contacts>On or use an app like My Contact Backup).  When done, force you phone into recovery mode and restore it, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808.

    Hello jonah910,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
I'm sorry to hear about the issue you're having with your iPhone, I definitely see how it is a frustrating experience!
I'd like you to follow the troubleshooting in the following article to help resolve the issue:
    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802
Specifically the section under power & battery:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
    Take care,
    Alex H.

  • Macbook pro ( 13" mid 2009 ) keeps freezing every few minutes since downloading mavericks

Ever since downloading osx Mavericks , my mac book keeps on crashing every few minutes. Doesn't matter what application I am using, system hangs every few minutes. I have been looking at Activity monitor closely. Following programs end up using a lot of CPU and hang a lot:
SystemUIServer ( not responding -- several times )
Google Chrome ( not responding -- several times )
Google Chrome Helper ( not responding -- several times )
PepperFlashPlayer ( not responding -- several times )
Windows Server ( not crashing -- but using a lot of CPU resources - remains at top 5 CPU usage tasks. )
Looking at Console app .. following programs cause a lot of crashes: ( Console itself was not responding several times I was looking at it )
    systemstatsd
    GoogleChromeHelper
I also ran EtreCheck program .. here is the output:

    ChmodBPF - Path: /Library/StartupItems/ChmodBPF
StartupItems can slow your Mac down.
Go to HD > Library > StartuItems
    Remove this:  ChmodBPF
    Restart your Mac.
If it's still slow, open System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login items
Remove Google Drive.  (iTunes Helper should not be a problem)
    Restart your Mac.

  • Why does my iMac keep waking every 2 minutes from 2:00 in the morning?

    Hi,
I awoke the other night and happened to notice my iMac keeps waking from sleep every 2 minutes from 2:00 in the morning. The screen doesn't come on, I hear the harddrive power up for a little while then stop, 2 minutes later it happens again.
I don't have "Wake for Network Access" on, and have tried turning off "Allow Bluetooth devices", I have also done a Virus Scan
I have been able to link the wake attempts to RTC (Alarm) - Real Time Clock. And I have also looked in the console although I don't really understand what is being logged, please see below.
I have OSX 10.10 (Yosemite) installed on a mid 2010 iMac, although I can't say how long this has been happening.
    Any help is greatly appreciated
    Regards
    Byron

  • My ISP keep failing, its becoming annoying to keep using the diagnostic

My ISP is failing everyday all day.  It is getting annoying to keep having to use the diagnostic tool to fix this issue. Why should I have to keep using a diagnostic tool to get my internet working.  It is not the router as I also have a macbook air in the residence and the wifi network card do not behave in such a manner.  It stays connected even if put into sleep mode.
Things I do not need to do so please dont come here and suggest a worhtless forum, I REQUEST A FOR SURE ANSWER.  Everything below Ive already tried
I dont need to restart my router
I dont need to renew my address
I dont need to contact my service provider, it is not the router
I dont need to reset or delete my internet on my macbook
Its works very well in LAN connection
    Its brand new
Funny thing is the problem persisted when I upgraded to Maverick
I restored my computer to factory default and the problem persist, thats how I know it may be something with maverick.  For a minute I thought Maverick was for Apple desktops.
I called apple, they had me do a couple of resets
basically everything listed in these Apple forums do not help and is not needed to post as a fix.
I ask for help into a real solution as I am unable to visit an apple store for at least 3 weeks when I return to the US.  Thank You.

Whoaaaa, you're from Birmingham Alabama? Off topic I know but I'm from there too, Roll Tide!!!
Yeah I changed the channel and the problem still persist. It's definitely something with my macbook. Since I am 7 hours ahead of the east coast my only thing to do is call AppleCare when they open. This problem is persisting towards numerous individuals as I searched on google. I am annoyed very agitated, disappointed and unhappy as I just transitioned from PC (Sony vaio)

  • While charging my new 9320 it keeps rebooting every few minutes

I upgraded to a BB Curve 9320.  Today it is charging for the first time, but while charging it keeps rebooting, not continually but every few minutes.  I already connected it to my computer which has Windows 7, to the Blackberry software and synced it with Contacts etc, but it is still rebooting.  Anyone know what's wrong?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
So, it only does this while charging, and only while charging on the wall charger? What about just charging to the PC? Or to a car charger? What about different wall/car chargers than those you already have?
In any event it is possible that your battery may be defective...to test, this sequence is needed:
Obtain a known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem.
Good luck and let us know!

  • IPhoto keeps opening every 5 minutes

I can't keep iPhoto closed. it's opening itself every few minutes. I close it, and a few minutes later, boom, it launches. I do NOT have a phone or camera plugged into the computer.
This just started. I'm running iPhoto 11 (ver 9.4.2) and OSX 10.8.2 on a year old macbook pro. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try this basic troubleshooting fix: make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
         User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - check to see if iPhoto continues to open by itself or not.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto.  You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
NOTE 2:  In Lion and Mountain Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.

  • IPad2 Keeps Crashing every 5 minutes

    Hi,
I have an iPad2 3G&Wifi that I've had since last April. A couple of days ago whilst charging at the mains I got a notification which said 'Could not activate the cellular network' and something about not being able to make calls - which I thought was a little strange.
A day after that my iPad now keeps crashing and restarting every 5 minutes, for no apparent reason. I tried to restore it through iTunes, but because it kept crashing it wouldn't do it. I then took it to the Apple store and it wouldn't restore either and gave an 'error 9' to them and was told to try it again at home. I've now managed to restore my ipad to a PC rather than a Mac, although it hasn't solved the crashing issue, it now won't activate to the server, either over wi-fi or through iTunes.
I need help! I really don't want to have to fork out another £199 for a replacement, which was the suggestion in the Apple store!
Thanks for any help in advance!

Restoring the iPad actually puts a "fresh" or "new" copy of the software (iOS) on your iPad; If you have restored the iPad in iTunes; You should have done "Setup as New iPad" not "Restore from Backup". The problem could actually exist in the backup itself.
     So if you did "Restore the iPad" from a backup; try setting up the iPad as "New iPad" and see if that makes any difference;
    hope it helps
