Isp service provider

hello everyone,
i am working on a program that implements javamail , it asks for ISP's mail server name , i am working on windows service pack 2 machine (laptop) and using dailup connection for my internet , can any one suggest me the real substitute for this , ( my ISP mail server name , method of finding ?), in one of the examples i have read it would be somthing like this [email protected] , i am confused if it is the name of my machine (hostname)
kindly help me , it important for my final year project (working on remote acess)

Who's your dialup ISP? Do they provide a
mail server for you to use? Check if they have
instructions for setting up Mozilla Thunderbird
to use their mail server. The same configuration
information will apply to JavaMail.

  • How do I get rid of an internet service provider (Cisco) that I never wanted but Cisco keeps me from getting online with my own internet service provider?

    I have tried to get rid of an internet service provider named "Cisco" that keeps blocking me from getting on the internet. I have no idea how "Cisco" is doing this. I have only one internet service provider that is Not "Cisco" . "Cisco" keeps coming up on the screen to sign in with a password which of course I do not know and do not want. I went into Safari preference to change the settings and found 2 that I do not want.  I thought I had gotten rid of this "link sys" but keeps returning  and shows that it is locked. How do I get rid of these in my Safari preferences without a password to them. I only want the one internet service provider that I have to be there and not the other two. Thank you so much.

    That is the login into the router itself. Most routers, in order to set them up the first time or after a reset or power fail, have this login procedure. You connect to the router login and configure the settings for your use.
    Is this a new router or has it been recently reset in some way? As was written above if the router was provided by your isp then contact them for the setup procedures.
    If the router is yours (or someone else's in your household) you need to look at the manual that came with it or go to manufactures website for instructions on how to set it up.

  • Best practice MPLS design/configuration for small service provider

    We are a small regional service provider and did not have MPLS supported on our network.  To start supporting MPLS, I’d like to get opinions and recommendations on the best practice configuration. 
    Here is what we have today –
    We have our own BGP AS and multiple /24s.
    We are running OSPF on the Cores and BGP on the Edge routers peering with ISPs.
    We peer with multiple tier-1 ISPs for internet traffic. We do not provide public transit.
    What we want for phase one MPLS implementation –
    Configure basic MPLS /vpn functionality.
    No QoS optimization required for phase 1.
    We have Cisco ME 3600X for  PE. Any recommendations will be appreciated.

    Not sure what kind of devices or routers you have in your network but looks for if you have support for labeled multicast for MVPN support. That will avoid other complexity of using other control protocols (like PIM) in core.
    PE redundancy can be obtained by BGP attributes, CE-PE connectivity can be tunned using IGP or VRRP/HSRP...
    You can have mutiple RSVP TEs for various contract traffic and you can bind various kind of traffic to different RSVP Tunnels based on contract or service with your customer.
    RSVP-TE with link/node protection design will be of great help to achieve quicker failover.

    we are current running an MPLS network from service provider 1 across our Branch office network. we need moe redudnancy and are looking to add another MPLS cloud from service provider 2. How would we integrate service provider 2 onto the same Cisco routers due to the fact the only 1 BGP AS can run inside the router? Any info would be appreciated.

    For this Scenario whereby we have a single router and already peered with one ISP on private AS and now need peering with another ISP on Public AS we can make use of the "local-as" feature provided we own a Public AS...
    This way we can establish peering with the new ISP using the Public AS as the local AS in the neighbourship config and also reatain the existing peering with old ISP..What we need to make sure is that while sending update to the second ISP we replace the original private AS with the Public AS....
    Below commands will be handy for same..

      no-prepend  Do not prepend local-as to updates from ebgp peers

    I am just curious to understand about the Service Provider infrastructure and their backend connectivities with other service provider.
    is there any private and public network ...will each service will have their own private network and provide end to end connectivity between two location...say 
    india and us locations...or they will route traffic to different service provider also.
    ---- > what is meant by PPP --- is it leased dedicated cable runs from end to end ?.. then why we need L3 protocols over there....
    ----> Frame relay ---is this always referred as Private network..can't i have a internet connections with Frame relay running in my router ?

    The three technologies you describe (PPP, frame relay, MPLS) just describe layer 2 encapsulation protocols, except MPLS VPN which would be described at layer 3 of the OSI model, and you can use them all for internet access.
    When you type www.cisco.com, the name is resolved into an IP address thanks to DNS.

    So, the LAN's segment (192.168.1.0/24 and 192.168.2.0/24) leave to Internet by outside Interface and also I have set a VPN between our side and the remote LAN site (192.168.112.0/24)
    Now, my customer want to add a new LAN Segment (for example 192.168.3.0/24) and has recently purchased a new service of ISP.
    He want that this New LAN segment leave by the new ISP Provider and possible a new VPN between this new segment to another side will be appear.
    In resumen:
    The old configuration is not going to change.
    For the new service LAN 192.168.3.0/24 must be go to internet using the seconf ISP service  z.y.x.194 255.255.255.248.

    Can I upgrade directly from 8.2(5) to 9.1 (I know that actual configuration will be lost and also I know that the syntax configuration is different between the versions, but this is not a problem for me, because I can re-configure it very fast).
    My doubt is if exist any other license that will be afected during the upgrade. As you can see exist any other files in the flash memory and some features related to the license appear in the command "show version" and at the final line appear a message "This platform has an ASA 5520 VPN Plus license". My doubt is "after the upgrade (from 8.2 to IOS 9.1) these features will be change, any license will be afected????.
    The object final is the following:
    I have in this moment three LAN's segment (for example lan1, lan2 and lan3) and two WAN's (isp1 and isp2)
    lan1 and lan2 leave for isp1 and exits VPN (site to site) connection between lan1 with different site. It in this moment is operation with any problem.
    The problem is the third lan3 because this must be use the second isp2, also this lan3 will be open a VPN with another site. This requirement I can not do it with 8.2 IOS Version. This requirement is like a PBR in router.
    The version 9.1 can handle this feature (PBR)

    Hi,
    I'm confused about the traffic policing on service provider edge router. Suppose I have taken internet bandwidth from my ISP and he says that they will give me 100 Mbps bandwidth burstable upto 1Gbps. What does that mean? what is burstable here?
    I would appreiciate if anyone from service provider organization, can give a output of their edge router's running config. I just have to understand how the police our traffic. Here I'm talking about the Internet leased lines.

    This is probably something you will have to get your service provider to answer. Different service providers use the term burst in a different context. Some SP's are "NICE' and will setup no policer or shaper and will purely monitor the link for fair use allowing you to exceed what you have purchased as long as you don’t abuse the privilege. Other Serves providers may setup a dual rate policer with a CIR and a PIR to achieve the same. a 3rd scenario is as explained above where the SP will setup a policer for 100Mb/s and then calculate the burst value at 1/8 of a second (or less in some cases) which allows your traffic to burst to full line rate for that time slice,
    There are other scenarios but the point I’m trying to make is that service providers don’t all do this the same way which is why you should ask them what they mean and how long your traffic would be allowed to burst to line rate.

    It doesn't work when I can't get 3G, whether at home or overseas. Receives no problem, and 3G works fine when it's available.

    Maybe it is a 3GS. Anyway, I get the error that the network is not responding, and to check my settings. My ISP is Uniserve (Canada) but I am trying to use Telus (at home, where there is no 3G in my neighbourhood) or whatever is available as I travel eg. US or Europe for outgoing mail when 3G is not available. My husband has no problem with his iphone 4 when he sends email the same way usinf wifi.

    I do receive emails into my iMac for which I have 3 email accounts but am struggling on how synchronise between iMac and iPad so that both are up to date at all times.  I have also set up a iCloud email account thinking this was the way to go but have drawn a blank.

    I have set up my email address both within my iMac and my ISP as IMAP accounts and I receive all emails without problem on my iMac. I have also set up an iCloud email address using my iMac.
    I have enabled the email within "setting" on my iPad and have used the iCloud account.  I have sent emails from the iMac to iPad using the iCloud account address and vice versa.  I have also sent emails from the iPad to the iMac using my non-iCloud email address and they have gotten through.
    The one thing I would like to have is for the iPad "mail" mailboxes to mimic the iMac "mail" mailboxes and both to be "in sync".  I am not really interested in using the iCloud email address for my email but would really like to use my "normal" addresses as these are what most people know me by.
    Do I need to set additional accounts within the iPad which are the same as the email accounts I have within the iMac and my ISP?  I have reached the end of my knowledge as regards email synchronsing.

    My service provider "Sentex Commmunication" has assured me I have entered all the fields correctly but I am still getting the message that my mail server is not responding

    I deleted the account and reentered the data. I got a new message saying my ISP mail account wasn't trusted. It allows you to accept it, I did and it went through. Thanks

    i have one machine installed windows server 2012 with 2 NIC. When i going to connect internet service provider to ether 1 in physical network it's success, but when i'm going to virtual server and want to attach internet service provider in physical network
    to virtual network it's fail..

    Hi Endra,
    I am assuming that you want the VM can access internet after hyper-v server connects to ISP .
    Please try to follow these setps below :
    1. create an internal virtual switch and connect the VM to it
    2. open network and sharing center  configure an IP for the new internal Vswitch
    3. configure VM's IP (it should be in same subnet with the IP of new Vswitch )
    4. configure the VM's gateway same as the IP of new internal Vswitch (after this the vm can ping the gateway , if it can not please try to check if the integration service was installed)
    5. find the internet connection of hyper-v server , share it with the new Vswitch.
    Accessing internet again from the VM.

    I can't follow your meaning. What does connect directly to your ISP mean?
    Did you mean turning off WiFi but turning on Cellular Data on your iPhone?

Simply put - who is your user audience for your deployed WebForms applications - is it only used internally in your own company, or do you offer your WebForms application to external users through a ASP-based subscription model? (Application Service Provider).
    I work for an independent software vendor, whose primary business so far has been to sell and support Forms 6i-based business applications, that connect to locally installed Oracle7 instances. We have, however, mainly due to Oracle's desupport of the client/server runtime seen ourselves forced to rethink our business and migrate our app to the web ASP-wise, as I believe it is the case for a lot of users of this forum, not sure though.
    This, however, has not been without problems. One problem, that has come in focus in particular, is the issues regarding supporting all the different versions of the Java runtime environment (JRE) out there. We can easily ask our customers to install a specific JRE version, say 1.4.2, but sooner or later, a newer version will appear on the customer's PC, most likely through the dreaded feature of the JRE called Java Update, and then customers run our application in an unsupported environment - like the newly released 1.6 version. This is also the reason, that I need to test new Java versions, before Oracle will do it "officially". Our application has PJC's, which depend on core Java libraries only found in JRE 1.4 or later, so using JInitiator is out of the question.
    Internally in a company, versions of JRE and other Webforms runtime parameters can most likely be controlled by sysadmin tools, but this is by the very nature not possible in an ASP environment. I'm curious to see, how common ASP-based WebForms actually is - let me hear about your real-world experiences please.

    That is the login into the router itself. Most routers, in order to set them up the first time or after a reset or power fail, have this login procedure. You connect to the router login and configure the settings for your use.
    Is this a new router or has it been recently reset in some way? As was written above if the router was provided by your isp then contact them for the setup procedures.
    If the router is yours (or someone else's in your household) you need to look at the manual that came with it or go to manufactures website for instructions on how to set it up.
