Ispoke and load to the cube

I have a pricing cube. I also have a Ispoke which extracts the data from this cube. I want to run the Ispoke for a particular month for year 2005. Will there be any conflict between the load to this cube and the Ispoke ? Meaning, if i run the Ispoke while the cube is getting loaded, will there be any problem ?

You should not be extracting the Data, which is getting loaded. Means if you are giving selection say, year 2005, then the data gettting loaded should not be for year 2005. Otherwise there might be some inconsistencies in the Data extraction.

FCP X is loading and loading with the colour wheel revolving for ever for the past few days.

FCP X is loading and loading with the colour wheel revolving for ever, for the past few days.
FCP X was working fine in my new 15" Mac book pro (Retina display with Mountain Lion 10.8.2) for the past one month. Now a days, each time I try to open the FCP X, the same non-stop colour wheel is rotating, trying to restore one of my project. It continues even for hours together. Finally I am force quiting the application.
How do I come out of it ? Will I be able to recover my project. I didn't do any backup in particular.
Is backing up on the regular basis is required?
I tried the following guidance by Apple,
In the Finder, hold down the Option key and choose Library from the Go menu.
In the Library folder that opens, go to Application Support/Final Cut Pro.
Drag the Layouts folder from the Final Cut Pro folder to the Trash.
Still my problem is continued

This is my pet checklist for questions regarding FCP X performance - you may have already addressed some of the items but it's worth checking.
Make sure you're using the latest version of the application - FCP X 10.0.5 runs very well on my 2009 MacPro 2 x 2.26 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon with 16 GB RAM and ATI Radeon HD 5870 1024 MB. I run it with Lion 10.7.5.
First, check that you have at least 20% free space on your system drive.
For smooth playback without dropping frames, make sure 'Better Performance' is selected in the FCP X Preferences - Playback Tab.
If you have not already done so, move your Projects and Events to a fast (Firewire 800 or faster) external HD. Make sure the drive's formatted OS Extended (journalling's not required for video). You should always keep at least 20% free space on the Hard Drives that your Media, Projects and Events are on.
Check the spec of your Mac against the system requirements:

If you are getting crashes, there is some conflict on the OS. Create a new (admin) user account on your system and use FCP X from there - if it runs a lot better, there's a conflict and a clean install of the OS would be recommended.
Keep projects to 20 mins or less. If you have a long project, work on 20 min sections then paste these into a final project for export.
If your playback in FCP X is not good, I strongly recommend you use ProRes 422 Proxy - it edits and plays back like silk because the files are small but lightly compressed (not much packing and unpacking to do) - but remember to select 'Original or Optimised Media' (FCP X Preferences > Playback) just before you export your movie, otherwise it will be exported at low resolution.
The downside of 'Proxy' is that it looks awful. DON'T use Proxy when you're assessing things like video quality - especially focus.
If you have plenty of processor power, for the ultimate editing experience, create Optimised Media - most camera native files are highly compressed and need a great deal of processor power to play back - particularly if you add titles, filters or effects. ProRes 422 takes up much more hard drive space but is very lightly compressed. It edits and plays back superbly.
Personally, I work with XDCAM EX and h.264 from a Canon DSLR. Both of these run fine with my system, but I do transcode multicam clips.
Hide Audio Waveforms at all times when you don't need them (both in Browser and Storyline / Timeline). They take up a lot of processor power. (Use the switch icon at the bottom-right of your timeline to select a format without waveforms if you don't need them at the moment, then switch back when you do).
Create folders in the Project and Events libraries and put any projects you are not working on currently, in those folders. This will help a lot. There's a great application for this, called Event Manager X - for the tiny cost it's an invaluable application.

Unless you cannot edit and playback without it, turn off Background Rendering in Preferences (under Playback) - this will help general performance and you can always render when you need to by selecting the clip (or clips) and pressing Ctrl+R.
The biggest single improvement I saw in performance was when I upgraded the RAM from 8 GB to 16.
If none of this helps, you might have incompatible or corrupt media or project files. Move ALL your Events and Projects to temporary folders so that FCP X doesn't find them on launch. If it launches OK, re-introduce the Events and Projects one at a time, re-launching each time, so that you can track down the corrupt or incompatible files.

Data is not getting loaded in the Cube

Hi Experts,
I had a cube to which I created aggregates and then I deleted the data of the cube and made some changes in it and trying to load the data again from PSA.
But I'm the data is not getting loaded in to it the cube.
Can anyone tell me do I have to delete the aggregates before I start a fresh data in to my cube. If yes can you tell me how do i delete it and load it again.
If it is something else please help me resolve my issue.

Deactivate the aggregates and then load the data from PSA to Cube.
And then reactivate the aggregates. While reactivating them you can ask to fill them also.

No data loaded to the cube

I have created four dimensions, all validated, deployed and loaded successfully.
I created a cube, and used a joiner to load the keys from the tables. It has just one measure, and I am loading it from a different table.
I ran a query with a join condition (where clause) in Oracle SQL developer, it returns the desired result.
So i use the same join condition, in the cube.
the cube and the corresponding map is validated and deployed successfully. When I start the map, it inserts no, records in the corresponding table of the cube.
Please, help me solve this problem.

The loading process in a cube do a join with the dimensions.
"D_DIMENSION_X"."DIMENSION_CODE" = "INGRP1"."D_DIMENSION_CODE" )Thus, you can have no problem even if a dimension code is missing in the dimension table.
I had the problem with the time dimension (miss the year id for instance) and it's very painful to find.
First, you have to retrieve the SQL generated :

Attributes not loaded in the cube.

Hi All,
I am loading master data, the load is successful.while i run the query i cannot able to see the value of the master data attribute instead i can see "NOT ASSIGNED".
More to it, i cannot able to see the data in the cube for the loaded masters attribute.
Attribute is converted into individual characteristics and Navgational is on.and variable is created.
In the query for the master data variable "ready for input" is checked.
But still i cannot see the values in the selection option as well as inthe query output.
Can any one help to resolve this error...

Hello Ganesh,
After loading master data attributes you will have to activate it then only it will be available in reporting part.
Right click on that info object and activate master data option will be visible to you.

Adobe Reader XI is not working. I have used the cleanup tool and reinstalled it. I try to open a .pdf file in the program the window will open and load all the tabs but I am never able to actually interact with them.

I am unable to use adobe reader xi. I have tried to use the clean up tool and re install the reader. That doesn't seem to help. I go to open the pdf file in the reader and the window will load but I am not able to do anything past that point. Almost as if the program freezes once loaded I never get a not responding error until I open the task manager on the computer.

Can you open Reader by itself? If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].

Im currently doing a project using LabVIEW and myDAQ where i have to use the solar cell to charge the battery and turn on the load ( LED) when there is light
and once the the solar cell is unable to detect the light , the battery will power the load instead of the solar cell
i am having some problems with labview programing ( unable to work )

Good to see that you found the LabVIEW forum, but you have not added any more information than what you posted on the Reddit LabVIEW forum.
The people here will also need more information about what is not working, be as specific as possible. I will also repeat that you can replace the inputs with controls and the outputs to indicators so you have more control over the code to test it. Then introduce the real IO when you have the code working like you want it to.

can I combine network proximity with the load of CSS in every proximity zone?
For example: I have 3 proximity zones (Europe, Asia and America) - I use network proximity for choosing the best zone for any client DNS request. But I need the following rule: when the load in the zone Europe is 70% use the zone Asia, when the load in the zone America is 60% use these zones Asia and America. Is this method possible? I had this guy load a not completed 10.4 on my pwr macG4. I found my cd of 10.4 and loaded onto the one that he had. Wiping out everything that I had on my 10.4. Now I loaded a update mac OS Z 10.4.1

I had made a mistake & trusted this geek, & did not know that he had gotten the 10.4 from someone else's mac. I did find my CD with 10.4 and reloaded it not realizing it that I had wiped out all of my downloads from apple. That included all the security's, upgraded 10.4.11, safari 4.1.2, quicktime Version 7.6.4. Now when I go into the internet SAFARI gives me a lot of trouble and will cop out of things. Nothing works. I cannot download Adobe Flash Player. I will call Adobe for this problem. But I do not have a PDF (that I learned that Adobe doesn't support).
I hope that someone can help me.

Also realize that you asked it in the middle of the night in the USA where many (but not all) people who can help you are asleep. Then you also asked it at a time of year when many people are away from their computers and doing holiday activities. Be patient.
We need to know more about your particular computer model. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner > About This Mac > More, then copy and paste the main information there but omitting the serial number.
The guy getting 10.4 from another Mac actually doesn't matter. It's either a retail version disc in which case it will install on any G4, or it is a machine specific disc in which case it will refuse to do anything to your computer. Of course installing will revert the computer to the original software versions that were on hte installer disc, so you ned to update those. Most can be downloaded directly from Apple. Here's my long post on updating:

Certain steps appear to minimize the risk of an update producing problems.
Number one is to make sure you have a bootable clone backup of your computer in case you do need to back out of it again. This is the only guaranteed way of not having to worry about the results of an update.

You can verify a drive while booted from the same drive but sometimes this produces spurious errors. Repairing a drive (if necessary) has to be done while booted from another disk.

I like to download the update onto my computer and install it from there rather than let Software Update do it. I know a few people who had problems with doing the update via software updater found a manual install to work.
Repair permissions again afterward.
It helps to only install one update at a time and to run the computer for a while to make sure it is behaving well.
The more cautious even like to unplug third party peripherals (see [comment by BDaqua|http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=9040746#9040746]).
Almost all of the above steps (except backup) have been questioned (e.g., [Permissions repair|http://www.macworld.com/article/52220-3/2006/08/repairpermissions.html]) as to necessity. Probably many people have done successful updates without doing them. I say they can't hurt, they can very likely do good (especially if your computer isn't regularly maintained), so why not do them to be safe?

4) Run the uninstaller application. Adobe says, "Adobe recommends that you restart your computer before you install a different version of the player."

6) Use Disk Utility to repair permissions on your computer. this is important when installing anything from Adobe.
7) Restart your computer.

Adobe installs things all over your computer. Simply dragging a file or two to the trash won't ensure you have uninstalled all old file components.

Base unit of measure values not loading into the cube.

i have created a generic data source and in that i took unit as base_uom and one quantity keyfigure and in my cube i have taken 0base_uom and a quantity key figure infoobject.
in transformation i mapped the base_uom(source) to 0base_uom (target)and soures quantity KF infoobject to targer keyfigure infoobject.
after loading the data into my cube..i am getting the values for quantity keyfiure infoobject but for unit (CS,IT) i am not getting any value in my cube.
so in my report also the for a specific quantity unit value is showing ERR.which is wrong.it should show me as CS or IT(10CS or 15 IT etc).
Can any one help me on this?

This is not how you map Key Figure and Currency in cube..
First check in RSD5 whether you have Unit Infoobjet assigned to the key figure.
in Type/Unit tab ..you have to assign 0BASE_UOM to your Key Figure.
Then in transformation from DataSource to Cube : connect both the Unit and Key ( in source) figure to target KF.
In Rule Detail you have to select .
Target Unit = 0BASE_UOM
Unit = From Source
Source Unit = Your source field name for unit
Let me know after doing all these whether are getting unit field in cube

Getting error while scheduling load from one cube to another

Hi,
I have create one cube ,which has got loaded from two data sources and load into the cube went successful.I have created copy cube and schedule the load into copy cube from the base cube,where i am getting error message syaing that"New work Area started,terminated the system" and "Core_dump","Rolled-Out session terminated" all the above messages are getting and so many short dumps.I am getting all the above messages.
Even i have change data packet size from 20000 to 5000 and increares dialup process from 2 to 5.But still i am getting same kind of messages.
Please some one can help me out from this issue.

If you in 7.0 then have you checked in DTP.
Just logooff from your server, and again relog, and try to load once again.
