Help Anyone!
Lost my sound. Was hearing a non-stop tapping noise when I booted from my right speaker the other day and thought something might be wrong with the sound card. I uninstalled the driver and reinstalled but no change. Today the problem just stopped but I still have no sound. uninstalled/reinstalled the Realtek driver several times and still no sound. The device mgr. Says that the device is working. What now?

I think it's an audio conversion issue with certain streams.
If I run some HD captures from my CAnon camera through handbrake direct I lose several seconds of audio at the end, so I think it's a problem processing audio/video streams in some circumstances.

I have followed instructions for importing favorites from Internet Explorer, but they do not show up in Bookmarks menu as shown in the support instructions.

You can usually find the imported IE Favorites in a folder ("From Internet Explorer") at the bottom of the Bookmarks Menu folder (Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks).<br />
If you can't find them in the "From Internet Explorer" folder then try this:
* Export the favorites in IE to an HTML file (bookmarks.html): File > Import and Export
* Import the HTML file in Firefox: Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Import HTML: From File

Have followed instructions for displaying Version number. Does not work. I believe "Firefox button" means the gold & blue globe? No "Help" button. Can find no reference anywhere to version number.

I believe that I have installed v.5 but can find no confirmation anywhere.... till now, when your "educated guess" shows v.5.0.1. Please give me concise instructions for displaying the version number. (For most software packages, "About" works... but not in this case.)

I don't know whether this solves your problem, however, I did temporally disconnect from FaceTime. That at least solved mine, where I also had my iPad 2 responding very sluggishly to any kind of input (incl. hardware buttons). The problem was persistent over several reboots, so it had to be something with deeper connections into the OS.

How to Get a List of All XMLElements (Follow up to previous posting)

I need a collection (or array, etc.) of all the XMLElement objects in a given document in flat form (just like the "Structure Tree"'s hierarchichal view - only flatened).
I could not find any "normal" way (i.e., built-in property or method) to get at the information. Instead, I found that I had to recurse through the entire XMLElement tree, starting with the Root Element. For a large document, this can take close to a ten minutes, and sometimes I have to do this for an InDesgin Book containing over ten enormous INDD files.
After "கற்பனை Imagine" responded to my previous post about how to get all the XMLTags, I assumed that myDocument.xmlElements would return a collection of all the XMLElements in the Document. Unfortunately, it does not - it returns only the Root XMLElement. Thus, I have to recurse therough the hierarchy of XMLElements under the Root XMLElement - which takes a very long time.
There HAS to be a better way, right?
Would it be better were I to recurse through all PageItems in the document and then recurse through each PageItem's XMLElement tree? I assume that wouldn't make a big difference either way.
I'm open to suggestions...

What do you intend to do with this flat layout of XMLElements? That probably matters a great deal.
If performance is really at play, you can try using XML Rules instead of interacting with the DOM from JavaScript. But they are complicated and confusing and more suited to declarative programming.
Imagine suggests:
var a = myroot.evaluateXPathExpression ("//*");
xmlObjArray.push(a[b--]);
Why not stop there? evaluateXPathExpression already returns an array, why iterate over it and push its elements into a new array? What's wrong with the return value?

HT1494 Had trouble updating ipod nano, followed instructions for resetting it, didn't work the way it said. First, msg saying "do not disconnect", then msg saying "ok to disconnect". I disconnected, now my screen is frozen with "ok" msg...?

Can anyone tell me how to un-freeze my ipod nano screen. Tried to do a reset as instructed, and now my screen is frozen with the message "ok to disconnect".
Cant even turn it off now.

Format new GTech so it does not cause BOOT ISSUES (follow up to previous post)?

someone on a previous thread (name is escaping me but they are always an awesome help) clued me in to the idea that my GTech external drive was preventing proper Option Boot on startup due to something in the ware on the drive.
i now have a new replacement drive (same exact drive) and i am wondering if simply formatting the drive in some way will avoid this issue or if in fact it was simply something bad having to do with the drive or if in fact it is likely that the new drive will have the same problem.
unfortunatly i cannot find the thread (ATM) where they gave me a specific question to ask of the drive manufacturer.
anyway, i am wondering if i should sell the replacement and get a new brand or if i should send the old one back and use this new one.

Just to say there ARE lots of Apps on BlackBerry World, so potential BB purchasers should not let that stop them, and some very good free ones, excellent -- BlackBerry Travel is really good, and OsmAnd maps are fabulous, big to download, but when you get it you'll be amazed. Just download a provincial or smaller map to start, because they are huge files and very detailed, but lots of trails and paths are on them... good for park trails and such.

MRIS for previous posting period

I have created a partial invoice plan with single invoice with date 31.05.2011. The MM period for June is to be opened on June 03, 2011 as per our mgmt decision. When running MRIS for my PO on 02.06.2011, system is picking up invoices but showing as not postable. Msg displayed is regarding posting allowed in periods 01/2011,02/2011 and 12/2010.
Can the MRIS be posted in the mentioned posting periods on todays date or the posting period for June will have to be opened first?

When do you change the MM and FI periods, if it is done before the month end only, then you may face the problem...
Then in this case you need to settle earlier ie. before closing the periods....
Also check with the BASIS guy once..

Looking for previous post!! Windows update causing flash to not work?

A few days ago i finally fixed my problem where some automatic updates from windows caused flash to not work on some videos. I uninstalled these updates, but can't find the question/answer that helped me with my solution. It had to do with uninstalling 2 windows updates, KBsomething... can anyone direct me to that post??

I followed the instructions for making an APP TAB and succeeded BUT everytime I close Firefox, the app tab disappears upon re-opening. Can someone help please? I held the control button plus I clicked and selected the "Pin..as app tab".

For better or worse, I think it's part of the design for the app tabs to be window specific. I know my first reply didn't solve your problem, but that was one way that worked for me to get the app tabs back when I restarted Firefox. Also I noticed the tag for this post is Firefox 4. I've only tried it with Firefox 5.
I agree with you that the way it's working isn't ideal. For the time being, I've stopped using the app tabs. Maybe they'll fix/improve it soon.

Wiki has no groups: 'Enable the following services for this group' is None

Our Leopard Server is an OD Master and have followed the Wiki setup procedure detailed in the Web Services Overview PDF. Believe I have got that part configured correctly and am able to access the web/wiki frontend on our Intranet.
Issue is that I am unable to get any groups to be available on the Wiki and therefore cannot actually do anything.
I believe it is an issue with the 'Enable the following services for this group' setting as it always displays None.
I have read various posts/discussions but am no wiser as to the issue.
Sorry if this is a noob question, any help gratefully received.

Your not alone, I have this exact same problem.
I'm running a fully working BIND 9 and OD Master, so that's not your issue. My groups are without a doubt in the /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1 domain.
When I connect with Directory.app, all services are grayed out and cannot be enabled. If I attempt to enable them in WGM they appear to apply when I hit save, but if I focus another group and come back it says (None).

"lock" values of tax depreciation for previous periods

Hi all,
is it possible to lock calculated values of depreciation for previous periods? We need it for the case when e.g. depreciation key is changed. Then we want preserve the values for previous periods and change only the future values. But please note that we want this for depreciation area, which does not post values to GL.

Hi,
It did not work for me. I changed the useful life from 30 to 20 yrs and then used menu path Edit/Recalculate values. Then I used the Tx S_ALR_87012936 to display the depreciation values for individual months. But all the values were the same, i.e. the values for previous periods were not kept.
So is there a way to keep these values?
