Issue about making purchases with my Apple ID.

Hi,
I am wandering if someone would be able to provide the following answer to my question.
When I go into tha Apple iTune Store to make a purchase, I am directed to a security question page. I provided the answers to these questions answer at an ealier time and when I submitted the answers it was deemed wrong therefore I was not able to make purchases. Would anyone know the answer to this issue.
Many thanks.

  • Your recent purchase with your Apple ID.

    Hi,
Whenever I update my apps or purchase a new app using the iTunes desktop client, I am sent a form e-mail automatically. The subject is always, "Your recent purchase with your Apple ID." and the email reads:
    Dear SlamSlam,
Your Apple ID, [email protected], was just used to purchase "App Name" from the App Store on a computer or device that had not previously been associated with that Apple ID.
If you made this purchase, you can disregard this email. This email was sent as a safeguard designed to protect you against unauthorized purchases.
If you did not make this purchase, we recommend that you go to iforgot.apple.comto change your password, then see Apple ID: Tips for protecting the security of your account for further assistance.
    Regards,
At first this alarmed me and I quickly changed my password thinking my account was compromised. But I soon realized this email is dispatched whenever I update apps via the iTunes desktop program. It does not happen on either my iPhone 4 or my iPad 1.
I checked and made sure my PC was an authorized device, yet I still receive these messages.
    Any ideas?
I emailed Apple support but they reply with robotic, canned responses that are not even in regards to the subject I'm asking (they are misinterpretting my question for the standard iTunes receipts that are mailed, which this is not.)
    Thanks,

I also am using version 10.3.1.55 of iTunes.
If I recall correctly, I received the first e-mail on June 26 or 27, so mine have also been occurring within the past 2 weeks.
I have never been asked to enter 3 security digits when making a purchase or updating an app.  The only prompt I have ever received is simply to enter my account password to ensure that I am logged in before the purchase or update takes place.  I am guessing the 3 security digits are the ones tied to the credit card you have saved to your account.  I do not have a credit card saved to my account.  Instead, I just buy iTunes gift cards and redeem those so that my account maintains a balance.  I figure that's a lot safer than getting my credit card information stolen in the off-chance that I get hacked.

  • Song cannot be downloaded because it was not purchased with your Apple ID.

The song that I tried to buy is not on my computer, it is in the list of purchased songs to download, but I get this error message when I try to download it to my computer. My computer has been authorized for iTunes purchases- so that is not the issue. It is an issue with iCloud that needs to be fixed.
My first experience with re-downloading purchased music involved missing titles- which were not in my list to download.
I contacted Apple- and they gave me the ability to download it.
Now, things that were not available before are available now. Some of them download, some of them present you with the error message above.
This system is not quite ready, it seems.

Just to add, it seems as though this happens in a strange circumstance (at least for me and one other user that I've encountered thus far).
Individual songs seem to download fine, but for albums I have purchased that I have not yet downloaded to my PC (for example, purchased on my iPad), iTunes keeps telling me 'SONG XXX' cannot be downloaded because it was not purchased with (my) Apple ID.  This is technically a valid messge - I didnt' buy song xxx, I bought Album XXX... but it also happens when I click on the cloud below the album itself.

  • Error states: "Song title" cannot be downloaded becuase it was not purchased with your apple ID, when in fact it was!! What is going on?

Hello I am trying to use the "Download Perviously Purchased" feature on iTunes. When I go to download the songs that are not in my library that I downloaded on a different computer with my same apple ID is states ""Song title" cannot be downloaded becuase it was not purchased with your apple ID"
I did purchase it with my exact apple ID and it even asked to make sure that my account info was correct which it was. How do i solve this problem??

There are a lot of reports of people having this problem (including me). The Apple iTunes store has been having other issues as well (some speculate it might be related to the recent Lion release).
You could open a case with Apple, or you could just wait it out. I'm sure Apple is in the process of fixing it since this seems to be hitting a lot of users.

You need to create a user account for your wife (or yourself depending on who has the current user account). When syncing, each of you should sign in as a separate user, login to iTunes and then sync. I had this problem when my sister got an iPhone. When we did her initial sync, everything on my iPhone showed up on hers. Apple gave me this solution.

I was recently burglarized and lost a bunch of Apple products. Is there a way to get receipts for items purchased with my Apple ID?

Yes if you go to http://store.apple.com/ on the top right under the search it will say "Account" or your first name. You will click or tap that and you will click "check order status" sign in. After you do that in the middle by the order date and number it will say "print invoices" and as long as your item(s) have been ship you will be able to see and print your invoice receipts. you can view items purchased in the last 18 months.

I downloaded apps purchased with another Apple ID. But my data is missing. What can I do to get them back? I have a different iCloud id.

All apps are tied forever to the Apple ID used to obtain them, that is also true with In-App purchases.
Content bought using one Apple ID cannot be merged or transferred to another Apple ID.

  • Can I pay the previous purchase with a apple card

I have my credit card on the Apple Store and I dont have any credit cards to make the update but is there a way that I can pay the previous purchase with a apple card

If iTunes gift cards are available in your country then you should be able to redeem them onto your account and use them to pay off any debt that you owe iTunes - you can't use Apple Store gift cards, they can only be used in Apple stores and their online store, they can't be used with iTunes.

I would like to view which 2 computers are authorised to play content purchased with my apple id?

There is no list available from your end; aside from using the Deauthorize All function, you need to access a computer individually, either physically or through Virtual Network Computing, to authorize or deauthorize it.

  • "0 computers are authorized to play content purchased with this apple id"

I can not sign in to facetime from my macbook pro; I found out on my itunes account the following: "0 computers are authorized to play content purchased with this apple id";  can someone help?  what should I do to fix this?

    1. Use the Deauthorize All command documented in this article if you haven't done so in the past year.
    2. Back the library up. While the Deauthorize All function won't affect it, other things can.

  • I purchased a new iMac and can't download Pages update. The message said that it was purchased with another Apple Id or by different user.

Update Unavailable with This Apple ID. This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled.

Perform the following, stopping with the first one which works:
    1. Open the Mac App Store's Purchases tab. If you're prompted to accept it and the other iWork/iLife applications into your Apple ID, do so.
    2. Move them out of the Applications folder(they may need to be put into the Trash temporarily), and then see if you can download them for free from their individual product pages. If you're asked to buy them, see #3.
    3. Click here, contact Apple, and wait for a response.
    4. Buy them.

  • Unable to play files purchased with prior Apple ID

I have been an iTunes customer for many years and have purchased tracks using two different email addresses as my Apple ID. My original Apple ID information was updated with my current email address. It was not created as a second account. When I view my purchase history from the support page all of the tracks I have purchased with either email address appear in the list. However, any track I purchased with the older email address will not play. iTunes skips through these tracks immediately but DOES increment the play count. I do not receive an error message of any kind. What do I need to do to fix this?

If you purchased music from 2 accounts, you need to authorise both accounts on your PC.
If that's not it try contacting customer service:
