Issue adding user Calendar

I am having an issue adding a user calendar.
In the Workgroup manager if I enable calendaring it seems to allow me to select the host and save it, but if I come back later it is still deselected.
Note: all users and groups have access to all services at the moment, and the web calendar is enabled for their group. The DNS seems to be working fine - the Wiki works without a problem, so does AFP, and Open Directory logins.
Any help would be appreciated.

Wish I had some luck on this.
I changed over the OSX server to handle DNS - which works fine -just in case that had any bearing, but no luck as yet - it still refuses to enable calendaring for any user.

Multi User Calendar Display Issue

When we moved to GW2012 one of our departments that uses a Multi User calendar (5 users in total) noticed some strange display issues.
When User1 is looking at her Multi User Calendar, the client is displaying her appointments in User2's column as well. But if you look at User2's Multi User calendar, you don't see any of User1's appointments in User2's column, so it appears to be a display issue with User1. This same issue is happening with one other user.
All users are on Client 12.0.2, Build 108211 . Interestingly if we look at the calendar on a machine running the GW8 client this display issue does not occur. I have also gone as far as rebuilding the calendar from scratch but this hasn't changed anything.
Any suggestions?

If you open a Service Request with Novell Technical Services you will receive this Field Test File patch for the GroupWise 2012 Client. It is specifically to fix issues with multi-user calenders. Please let us know if you are in a position to open an SR.

Access shared calendar and other users calendar

We have just finished migrating to Exchange 2013, but are having some issues regarding access to other resources like calendar and inbox.
let me give you an example.
1 user Outlook 2013 in cached mode. Cannot access another users calendar og indbox though the permissions are set correctly.
Tries from OWA with same user and here she can access the calendar.
Tries to use Outlook in non cached mode and here it Works.
Has anybody a solution for this.

I have tried the following
Open Outlook
Goto File >
Account Settings > Account Settings
Select your Exchange profile >
Change > More Settings > Advanced
tab
Check Use Cached Exchange Mode (if not already checked)
Uncheck
Download shared folders
Click OK >
Next > Finish
Restart Outlook
This has solved the issue.

Error while Adding user to 'SunAccessManager' Resource

I configured SAM Resource adapter in SIM 6.0. When I create a user and assign SAM Resource getting the following Error,
com.waveset.util.WavesetException: An error occurred adding user 'uid=SIMUser2,ou=People,o=Employee,dc=nl,dc=dap,dc=com' to resource 'SunAccessManager'. com.waveset.util.WavesetException: An error occurred creating user. java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Invalid parameters

Hi Satish,
The problem is that you added the table and the objetc that you used to add the table is not freed properly. You need to free the object and then the reference count to that table will be 0 - which will enable you to add the fields
e.g
Dim pUTables As SAPbobsCOM.UserTablesMD

Dim pUFields As SAPbobsCOM.UserFieldsMD
'Do your stuff

Issue with users trying to save reports to thier Documents on one drive.

I am working
on a 2013 SharePoint environment and users who use Power View reports. I
have a user who can create reports on a site I have set up (no problems
there). They can also save reports to PowerPivot Gallery they have added
in their Newsfeed for their personal site (no problems here). The problem
is when they try to save the report and go to Documents on one Drive it fails
with below error message. I am an admin but can save just fine to my
documents. I know the error shows an access issue but not sure where or
how to resolve this issue for users. <o:p></o:p>
P.S. the
issue happens before they even save button it happens when they see the My
Documents and try to open it. Again it is there personal SharePoint site
so not sure why they would not have access.<o:p></o:p>

It's strange that the User Profile Service Application is not available there. Please use PowerShell to check it, and you can run the command below:
Get-SPServiceApplication | where-object{$_.DisplayName -like 'User Profile*'}
Please ensure you are connecting to the correct farm, and open PowerShell with administrator permission. Meanwhile, add a test user in your Active Directory, and test to see whether the user's My Site can be created.
If the User Profile Service Application can be listed by PowerShell, and the new user's My Site can be created, there might be an UI issue in your Central Administration. Otherwise, you may consider to recreate or restore your User Profile Service Application.

CalDAV Wiki Calendars Reverting to User Calendars in Lion Client

My business runs the iCal service with SSL in Snow Leopard Server (10.6.8) for our user calendars. That's been running fine for quite a while and we support ~50 users. Some users had created subcalendars that they would then share out with their teams using deligation. We found this is not a good long-term plan because when that individual leaves the company we have to move their calendar to a different user. To make this easier we decided to start using the group calendar function under the wiki server. Both the wiki and iCal service are running on the same server. We use a separate FQDN for the wiki, but obviously the IP is the same.
I've been able to successfully get people who need to edit the group calendar(s) access in iCal using CalDAV (thanks to tips from other discussions on here) and others that just want to view the calendar subscribe to it (note for other people using SSL, I did have to modify the "click here to subscribe in iCal" link to do that). Now I'm running into an issue that's only effecting Lion users so far but it's a BIG issue. For those who have their account set up in CalDAV, *sometimes* when they switch between our private LAN and their home networks or our VPN their wiki group calendar account will automatically change the "Server Path" from the group account to their individual user account. The only way to change it back is to delete and re-add the account (or edit the server path, but that takes most of my end-users longer to do).
Is this happening for anyone else? I can't find other instances in Googling this issue. I realize Apple's wiki server doesn't technically support editing group calendars in iCal but what is actually making it revert the path?
Bonus question: How the heck do you fully delete accounts in iCal? As a troubleshooting step I blew out the following files on my local machine:
~/Library/Calendars
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.iCal
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iCal.plist (multiple plists, incl. the helper file)
~/Library/Preferences/Saved Application State/com.apple.iCal.savedState
Deleted all keychain access files related to iCal
After deleting those when I open iCal->Preferences->Accounts there's nothing there, and as soon as I blink my eyes all of my CalDAV accounts come back (both my company ones and iCloud). My co-worker running 10.5.8 did the same thing (minus the Saved Application State, obviously) and he sees the same thing. Where the heck are those settings kept?!

Server 10.6.8 with iCal activated.
Using wiki's for group calendars.
Clients have multiple calendars with indivudual path:
"/principals/__uids__/wiki-name1", "/principals/__uids__/wiki-name2", "/principals/__uids__/wiki-name3"
iPad, iPhone and 10.6.8 SnowLeopard Clients are working just fine.
Lion Clients keep the path for a few days or hours, and then resetting to
"/principals/__uids__/<uniqe_user_id>"
How can I prevent iCal from doing that? Think it's a kind of problem, when the connection to the server is interrupted (MacBook Pros for mobile working). When reconnecting to the server iCal is looking for the User-ID and changing the path

Issues adding phones since CCA3.0 / SP 8.1 on UC520

Hi there,
I have an UC520 for testing before upgrading our customers systems. (System is running SP 8.1 with German langpack: UC520_8.1.0.zip, UC500_8.1.0_locale_de_DE.zip)
I'm having some problems with adding users/phones/extensions using CCA 3.0 everything else is working fine so far.
Phoneloads upgraded successfully (8-5-4 for 79xx and 7-4-6 for SPAxxx).
To the problem: When I try to add a new phone with a new extension and new user I go to Configure > Telephony > Users and Extensions > Users and Phones. Then adding a new phone through the "ADD" button. Everything works fine until I try to configure the Line Button. CCA tells me at the bottom error-information-bar "Invalid Button Configuration" - but it looks correct to me! When I apply these settings CCA crashes - without any changes on the UC520.
Any suggestions?
Additional Information:
- Configuring phones for Extension Mobility works.
- Using CLI / Webinterfaces for configuration works fine. But phones configured this way are not managable through CCA 3.0.

the UC is for testing so its basically a separated network. it is connected with one DHCP interface to our company network.
This log was produced while connecting to the interface IP of the VLAN connected to the company network. But I had the same issue when I connected a Laptop directly to the UC on VLAN1 (default IP - i think it is 192.168.1.1)
Operating System was WinXP 32Bit in both cases. CCA version 3.0.
I upgraded the system using CCA > Maintenance > Software Upgrade --> selected Softwarepack and locale pack... had to upgrade the phoneloads separately. Also with CCA 3.0.
Will try the Java+CCA reinstall tomorrow morning.

Multi user calendar in CRM

Question - does SAP CRM have a multi user calendar that all users can read change and make additions to, enabaling the sales manager to arrange sales meetings that do not conflict with sales reps appointments and holidays booked?

I have same problem. We create appointment in CRM 2007 and adding the other employees to this activity. When we add other employees to appointment, want to display employees calendar in selected time space. If his/her calendar is empty we can add, else we couldn't.
I searched this application in search engine and found the "Room Calendar". Could we use this application in CRM 2007 UI, if yes how?

SP 2010-After adding user from IIS is not found in central admin

I am trying to configure my SP 2010 with Form Based Authentication.
After configuring WebSite, STS and Central Admin I added the user from IIS , But not able to found from central admin in Form Authentication.
I checked in database the user is added.

I was finally able to get the FBA working. After many failed attempts, I knew there was a configuration issue which was causing the error.
I provided connection string and provider details at 4 places, instead of the 3 mentioned in various blogs around ->
1. Sharepoint Central Admin
2. Sharepoint Web Services
3. SecurityTokenServiceApplication
4. And finally the web application itself.
The connection string for 2nd and 3rd will remain same however, provider details need to be added.
After completing this step, I was able to login using Form Based Authentication without an issue.

Error when manually adding user to project workspace

I am currently using Project Server 2010. I have a requirement for Business Users to have access to the project workspaces in Sharepoint but not be users of the PWA. Similar to as it is outlined in this Microsoft Documentation (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc197668(v=office.14).aspx)
There might be a circumstance where you want to grant people who are not members of the project access to the project workspace site. Anyone assigned to the Web Administrator group can create new users for a project workspace site. In addition to the
four groups that were mentioned earlier, there are four default SharePoint Server 2010 groups. They are as follows:
Full Control   Has all personal, site, and list permissions.
Design   Can edit lists, document libraries, and pages in the Web site.
Contribute   Can view pages and edit list items and documents.
Read   Can view pages, list items, and documents.
I have added the user to the Contributor group but when they try to contribute to the space, ie add documents or an issue/risk, they recieve an error, similar to as is documented in the following article (http://pwmather.wordpress.com/2011/07/11/manually-adding-users-to-project-workspace-project-site-in-projectserver-ps2010-ps2007-epm/)
What has been identified in this article makes sense.  I am just wondering why Microsoft documentation states that it can be done.
Any thoughts?

The Microsoft article says, users who are not part of the project. It does not say not part of project server.
However, as far as I can remember, this scenario could work if the "Synchronization" is turned off between Project Server and Project Sites. I will run a test and confirm, later today.

Outlook connector - how can I open other users calendars at startup?

Were you able to solve this issue? I too would like to have the ability to automatically open other users' calendar when Outlook loads.
I did find one unreliable workaround is this; I am able to add a link of the other users' calendar on the shortcut bar. This way, when a user logs on, s/he can click on the link to get to other's calendars.
However, I say its unreliable because every once in a while, I get the error message "Unable to display the folder. Microsoft Outlook could not access the specified folder location. The entry Id passed in does not refer to a valid object."
To resolve this, I must go back to files -> open -> Other user's folders. Open the calendar before it works agin.

TS2198 iCal crashes after adding Gmail calendar

iCal crashes after adding Gmail calendar (4 subcalendars and 1 shared calendar). I tried deleting Gmail calendar and re-entered them. I tried re-syncing, starting in safe mode, and moving iCal Preferences to the desktop. The problem continues. Any suggestions?

Exchange 2010 - Outlook can only open 8 other users' calendars

I have a company that I moved to Exchange 2010 from Exchange 2003 recently. The old Exchange 2003 server has been removed from the organization. They have 30 mailboxes on a single server. Everything has been running smoothly but I have just discovered an issue.
In this office there is one person who coordinates meetings, decides who uses what conference room for a given meeting, etc. She has full access to all of the other users' mailboxes. With Exchange 2003 she could access all of the other users' calendars simultaneously and would view them in overlay mode in Outlook 2003 and/or Outlook 2007.
With Exchange 2010 she can only view the first 8 calendars she clicks on. If she tries to open a 9th calendar Outlook responds with the error message "The set pf folders could not be opened."
I don't believe it to be a rights issue as she can open any 8 calendars upon first running Outlook. To access any others she has to uncheck one or more of the calendars previously selected, exit Outlook, restart Outlook and select different users calendars.
This is only happening with Exchange 2010 - I've tested it on my Exchange 2007 server and another client's Exchange 2003 server and one can open as many other users calendars as there are.
Is this a known limitation of Exchange 2010 or a new bug? Any workarounds?

I'm betting that you have met the Exchange 2010 throttling policy......

Adding more calendars through Palm Online

I know you can do this by adding more calendars from google. But I cant seem to add more calendars to my general Palm WebOS Calendar app. My wife does not have Google. And she doesn't want to sign up. She has a pre plus and wants to be able to add more calendars and categories.
Anyway that on the Palm User login we can have an option to add more calendars to our pre/pixi's? Thanks for listening.
