Issue after Configuring the oc4j_soa to OID

Hi All,
I just tried to configure the oc4j_soa OC4J instance of SOA suite to use Oracle Internet Directory. as a part of this process, after selecting orbpel and hw_services applications, we tried to restart the oc4j_soa OC4J instance however got the error: OPMN could not start all the processes...we Stoped and Started the SOA suite.
When I tried to stop the ascontrol of home and started the ascontrol of oc4j_soa from the back end by updating the server.xml file of corresponding oc4j instances.
unable to start the Application server Control i.e. not even getting the SSO login page..why?

You may want to post on the SOA/BPEL forum - BPEL
Check the server logs under $ORACLE_HOME/opmn/logs to see if they reveal the cause of the issue.

I am facing this problem, need your help or the solutions.
My Curve 9380 gets warm/hot after configuring the email accounts. It drains the battery in a hour. If I remove all the email accounts then its working normal.

Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.

Wireless mouse and Keyboard Issue after closing the lid - external display

Can anyone give any insight. Recent purchase of a new Late 2008 15" MBP. I have connected it to an external 24" Apple monitor on my desk and use a wireless mouse and wireless keyboard on my desk top. I have configured the laptop to wake on bluetooth devices. So here is the problem: The laptop when the lid is up recognizes the bluetooth keyboard and mouse. I close the lid/screen. Laptop powers down... the after several seconds I move the mouse and the laptop comes alive... But after that there are no bluetooth devices attached. When I use the mouse, I get "connection lost" with a white figure of the mighty mouse on the screen. The wireless keyboard is not there and I have to open the lid and manually find the mouse and reconnect. The keyboard seems to work however....
Apple..... any thoughts..... anyone?????

Hi Stentdoc; I'm thinking, 'connection lost ~= sorta low AA batteries in the Mighty Mouse? (I would put in fresh AA batteries in the mouse and keyboard, to eliminate as an issue that the 'connection lost' is due to low batt voltage; that this is causing the failure to wake.) ... then, in System Preferences > Hardware > Energy Saver, settings for Power Adapter > Sleep, set to "never" for "Put the computer to sleep when it is inactive for ..." to eliminate that as a conflict when trying to wake with bluetooth from sleep induced by closing the lid ...
Check your current "Sleep" setup (I left my MBP as "3")
go to Utilities > Terminal
After you launch Terminal, the first step is to determine which sleep mode your Mac is currently using. You can both view and change the sleep mode using the Unix program pmset. To see your current settings, type (or, copy and paste)
pmset -g | grep hibernatemode
press 'enter'
You should see something like this:

also, I enabled this (to change back, input "lidwake 1":
go to Utilities > Terminal
type in sudo pmset lidwake 0 then "enter"
it will ask for your password. type it in, that's it!
Now, when your computer is sleeping with the lid closed, when you open the lid nothing happens until you press any key ... nice: keeps it off when accidentally opened, like in a backpack?

Workflow issue after configuring DMZ.

I am facing issues with regards to my worflow, after configuring DMZ.
Recently we have configured DMZ, As per the document 380490.1.
Database tier : bwerpdbs02
Internal Application tier : bwerp
Dmz tier : bwerpgrd04
Our SMTP server name is bsf-hc-01. whenever the internal application tier is bounced the SMTP server name gets changed to bwerpgrd04 which is not my SMTP/IMAP server name.
Everytime the internal application is bounced, i need to do the changes manually in the workflow configuration tab ie : Changing of the SMTP server name from bwerpgrd04 to bsf-hc-01.

Issue in configuring the Master Repository in ODI

Hi,
I just downloaded and installed ODI. I wanted to create Master Repository in Sql Server 2005 (service pack 2). I gave the following string for jdbc:sqlserver://<servername>:1433;selectMethod=cursor;databaseName=odimaster;integratedSecurity=false. I also entered a valid username and password. Apart from this I have copied the sqlJdbc.jar file in the OraHome_1\oracledi\drivers directory.
The above is resulting in an error. Has anyone faced this issue?

I have got the Master repository configured by replacing the sqlJDBC.jar file that I intially had by 1.2. I also was able to configure the topology but unfortunately I am now stuck in configuring the work repository. I am following John's blog but each time I do a test connection it gives me connection failed. I have used the same connection string for JDBC. Following is my understanding on the different text boxes in the dialogue box, please let me know if my understanding is not right:

Log4j - issue in configuring the file name for daily rolling file adapter

We have configured the log4j properties. We want to create back-up of log file each hour. The file name of the log file is MyApp.log and as per the below configuration after each hour backup file is created as
MyApp.log<<time>>
but we want that file should be created in follogin format
MyApp<<time>>.log
Below are the log4j properties configured, please let us know, what should be the correct option to create the filename in desired format.

Procedure
       1.      Display a text of the required text type.
       2.      Branch to the editor.
       3.      Choose Goto > Header.
The Text header dialog box appears.
Result
In the Text header dialog box, you gather the required information.

An issue while Configuring the Access System Console

I'm facing a problem while Configuring the Access System Console.
I have installed the policy manager, and when I try to configure the access system, an error message appears "The environment variable TEMP points to a directory that does not exist. To avoid any unexpected behavior, please make sure it points to the correct directory and restart the web server".
I have checked the temp system variable, and it was correct, and the directory already exist.
Note: I'm working on windows server 2003.
I really appreciate any help with this issue.

Check the permissions on the directory that the TEMP variable points to, to ensure that everyone has read/write access to it - maybe that's the problem.

Also check if your javascript retains after Publishing. Sharepoint will remove malcious code/script html after saving the page and make page safe.

Excel output display issue after exporting the report

Hi All.
We are using BI Publisher with Oracle retail for report generation.While exporting report in excel format , after saving the file we are not able to see the data.
When we do a Format-->Autoformat and select one of the options, we can see the data .
What could be the possible reason for this?Can i do anything to avoid this.
Is there a possibility of checking excel log to see how the Excel treating the incoming data.If yes, how can we check the excel log(failed to find anything on this).

Hmm.. Not really sure. Have you checked your Financial Reporting preferences on Workspace? Couple of things to look for:
- Export to Office Application options
- User Point of View options
I would just check the preferences and test various options.

Stability issues after installing the Java SE 6 update on Leopard

Hi, I have my macbook pro freeze once and not properly wake up from sleep twice after opening the lid within the last two days, and this started happening after I installed the Java SE 6 update over the weekend. In the case of freeze, I had to to a hard reboot. In the other two cases, the macbook comes alive after opening the lid but the display stays blank. I need to close the lid and open a few more times to have the display come back on. In all the cases, I was running Word 2008, which has its own set of bugs (esp. with the spaces), but I wasn't experiencing this before the Java update. I have all the other updates installed as well (including the Safari update last week, the latest Office 2008 update of March, and the EFI firmware update a couple weeks ago).
Does anyone have the same problem? Also, the jittery mouse pointer problem after wake from sleep, which used to occur occasionally since I first upgraded to leopard, seems to occur a lot more frequently now. The only solution to get the mouse pointer back to normal is a restart, which is quite annoying.

Hi again, I found a solution to the nested folders problem. Apparently this was not due to Java... It was just a folder replicating itself over and over again. Still don't know the cause, but searching with Google I found this:http://forums.macnn.com/54/unix/156870/nesting-of-folders-problem/
The command allowed me to find the folder and subsequently trash it. Everything seems to be fine right now. The disc utility does not report the "exceeded the recommended limit of 100 " error.

Network issues after configuring Network Load Balancing W2K8R2

Hello, I have a few Windows Server 2008 R2 machines connected to a network. I've been trying to set up a NLB Cluster on one of them, and the rest of them to be hosts. When I finish configuring the NLB Cluster, the machine loses the connection to the network
and the cluster has to be deleted to restore connection.
I've set the cluster to unicast mode, with 2 NICs, one of them is virtual(Teaming is disabled). What could be the cause of this?

When Unicast mode is enabled, each host uses the same NLB cluster MAC address. When a host goes to send traffic to another NLB host it recognizes the destination MAC address
as its source MAC address. The data never leaves the network card and thus never arrives at the intended destination, therefore please confirm you have set the static ARP with your switch.
