Issue after migrate  workbook from 3.1 to BI Netweaver 7.0

Hy experts,
We have a workbook in v.3.1 with several querys in only one sheet, one below the other.
When we migrate this workbook to 7.0 and refresh it, the system shows this message:
<i>"Some item(s) overlap with each other".</i>
Then an unassigned navigation pane (no characteristic is asiggned to it), corresponding to the first query,  is put on the analysis Grid, corresponding to the second query, so some rows are not visible.
How can we do to avoid that unassigned navigation pane?
Regards.

Hi,
Issue may be due to the Excle formulae used in the workbook which do not get migrated.
One way around it is to migrated the queries first and apply Excel validations on top of it in 7.0
Hope this helps.
Thx,
SK

  • Issues when migrating workbook from one EUL to another EUL

    Dear Members,
We have two types of EUL. One is an standard EUL and another one is Apps based EUL. We have many reports created in standard eul and my task is to move these workbooks to an apps based eul.
Standard EUL is nothing but a database based eul. Users who created these workbooks in this EUL are the database users. Now i exported these workbooks to an .eex file using the command line interface. But when i am trying to import these workbooks in an apps based eul i cannot see them after import. I know this might be an previlages issue.
My question is these two eul's are completly different from one another. One is database based and another one is apps based and even the users in both eul's are different as they have different accounts in database and application.
We have a lot of reports created using the database based eul. Our goal is to move these to apps based eul so that users can use there responsibilities and run the workbooks rather than using desktop by logging in as a database user.
How should i proceed in migrating these reports. It would be great if any one guides me.
    Thanks
    Sandeep

    Hi,
You should ensure that you take ownership of the workbooks when they are imported and that you log in as an apps user (not the EUL owner) when the workbooks are imported.

Do you have the problem with all JSP pages, or only a few of them ?
Does it happen in the Embedded OC4J only ?
Could you try to deploy your application in the Standalone OC4J and test it from there ?
I had a similar issue where the Embedded OC4J was unnable to run big JSP pages.
There was no problem with the Standalone OC4J.
    Hope this helps,
    Didier.

I want to see all  my photos in 'Library' view, and I can't figure out how these photos seem to be arbitrarily hidden. Help, please.

  • How to migrate content from BW 3.1 to NetWeaver 7.0

    Hello all out there,
For a couple of years I have been successfully using SDN, finding always the right answer to my questions, however in my late assignment things have not been running that smoothly.
This is my first posting to SDN and I hope any of you out there can give me a hand.
    <b>My Case:</b>
We are planning to upgrade from BW 3.1 directly into NetWeaver 7.0
<b>Our previous research within our planning phase has taking us to read:</b>
•Everything under the Marketplace NetWeaver Upgrade portal (https://websmp204.sap-ag.de/upgradenw70)
    •Upgrade Master Guide
    •Many docs in SDN
    <b>My Question:</b>
Based on our research, we have a good understanding about the technical upgrade path and the creation of a new landscape. However anything we have read explains about how to migrate our actual Queries, ODS, Web Templates, Infocubes, Update Rules, InfoObjects, etc to the new environment.
<b>Could you please point me to the right literature, how to guide, migration path, etc; explaining how to migration content from BW 3.1 to NetWeaver 7.0</b>
    Thanks

  • Issue with migration DB from SQL Server 2005 to Oracle 11.2 using SQL Developer Migration workbench

    Hi,
We face an issue while migrating an SQL Server 2005 DB to Oracle 11.2.  It fails during the process.  I hope someone on the forum has seen this before and can give us some advice.
I use the latest version of SQL Developer with JRE included (3.2.20.09).  The JDBC driver to connect to SQL Server 2005 is 1.2.0
Here are the steps we take in the Migration Workbench wizard:
I made an online extract of the SQL Server database.
Using the workbench in SQL Developer I created a migration repository in schema PDM_MIGRATION.
Next I start the migration, it captures the tables fine, but immediately after the start of the conversion I get a failed message without further explanations.
This is the content of the error xml:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252" standalone="no"?>

    I see the PDM_MIGRATION.MIGR_FILTER is a type.

    Hi Wolfgang,
    Thanks for your reply.
This is how the type MIGR_FILTER looks like:
    create or replace
    TYPE MIGR_FILTER IS OBJECT (
      FILTER_TYPE INTEGER, -- Filter Types are 0-> ALL, 1->NAMELIST, 2->WHERE CLAUSE, 3->OBJECTID LIST
      OBJTYPE VARCHAR2(40),
      OBJECTIDS OBJECTIDLIST,
      NAMES NAMELIST,
      WHERECLAUSE VARCHAR2(1000));
I think the repository user has the correct privileges.  This is the overview of privileges it has:
    SQL> select * from dba_sys_privs where GRANTEE in ('PDM_MIGRATION') order by GRANTEE;

  • Issue after Migration: ID and Content-ID are different in SOAP Payload

    Hi Experts,
I am facing a strange issue in the PI landscape after the migration from XI 3.0 to PI 7.1.
The scenario is from R/3 system to TIBCO System (Proxy-to-SOAP). The TIBCO system receives the file in SOAP Format. The message is sent from PI via SOAP adapter to TIBCO System.
There is a attachment coming from the R/3 System along with the main message and the main payload/message has a "attachment-ID" as a field. Earlier what used to happen in XI 3.0 that the "Attachment-ID" used to equal to the "Content-ID" when the SOAP payload was generated at the TIBCO end. Now after migration, in PI 7.1 the "Attachment-ID" and "Content-ID" are different. We have control over the "Attachment-ID" as it is coming from the source payload but we do not have any control over the "Content-ID" as we are not creating it.
Can anyone of you please let me know how the SOAP Payload is created and how the content-ID gets populated in the Header of the SOAP Envelope? Also, can anyone help me to fix this issue? Is it something which needs to be handled by us or the BASIS Team?
    Thanks,
    Arkesh

    Hi Ramesh,
Thank You for the very Helpful Answer. Before I proceed and close this thread, I have one more question which comes to my mind:
I create my own SOAP Header if I apply the solution provided by you then will the rest of the details in the SOAP Header payload will change or do I need to customize it for myself? For e.g., there is a field named MessageId in the SOAP Header. If I write a Java Mapping, do I need to manually populate the MessageId field in the SOAP Header of my java code or will it be automatically populated?
My requirement is to change only the content ID of the SOAP Header Payload and the rest of the fields should remain the same as it is. Is it possible with the approach that you mentioned above?
    Thanks,
    Arkesh

  • Access request List issue after migration

I have migrated site sharePoint 2013 from metalogix tool.
Migration is from SharePoint 2013 to SharPoint 2013
I am getting one strange error while approving "Permission request" send by the users.  I have matched columns of  Access Request list(Hidden) from original site to New site , columns are matching, and also I have checked every column
on migrated site, ther are opening without error, so why I am getting this error , there are no logs for this.
One thing is diffrent is that on migrated site I am not gettign any data from Permission column check below, however On original site I am gettign data for this Permission column , what can be an issus ?
Please mark answer , if you think answer is helpful or correct.

    Hello WillAdams92,
It seems you are experiencing permissions issues. You can repair permissions using Disk Utility, which comes with all Macs. The following article provides more information about the feature:

    Hi All,
We are doing Data Migration for Attachments into SAP CRM from Siebel. and have an issue for migrated attachments showing blank pages while opening in SAP CRM.

  • Unable to connect to environment after migrating Security from BPC 7.5 to BPC 10.1

    Hi Experts,
We are working on BPC 7.5 to BPC 10.1 NW migration and after migrating the environment, we are unable to connect to environment.
While trying to access, we are getting the following error:
After taking a backup of the necessary environment in BPC 7.5 NW we are carrying out the 2 steps in the BPC 10.1 NW box:
Step 1 : Tcode UJBR - Restore the environment in BPC 10.1
    Results: This is working fine.
Step 2: Program UJT_MIGRATE_75_TO_101 - Running the migration utility in BPC 10.1 to make the objects compatible with BPC.
    2.1 Execute without Security Mapping
    Results:
This is working fine. We are able to connect to the Environment and access the dimensions and models.
2.2 Execute with only Security Mapping
    Results:
After this step, we are not able to access the environments and are getting the Logon error.
cannot get model "" in environment "xxxxxx" from Admin module
The logon attempt failed; contact your administrator.
If you have any options to resolve this error, it would be great.
Else, we will have to re-build the entire security design manually.
    Regards,
    Sushant Pradhan

    Hi Andy,
Thanks for your response. Yes, my id has SAP_ALL authorization.
Still unable to access the environment after migrating security.
To make things less complicated, we went back to BPC 7.5 NW - deleted all unwanted user ids, we kept only 3 user ids. Then, we took backup of application set and restored it in BPC 10.1.
We created a mapping file of those 3 user ids in BPC 10.1 as NW user ids and executed the Migration utility. Again we have same error.
    Regards,
    Sushant Pradhan.

After migration all my Data from my old imac to my new macbook pro (both running on OS Maverick) with migration assistant, the trackpad of the new macbook pro doesn´t work properly any more.
But the trackpad had worked properly before the data migration!
But now the trackpad feature of scrolling up and down with two fingers doesn´t work. (Other features are ok.)

  • Missing Index entries after Migrating Repository from 1.3.2 to 9i

    Hi,
We have migrated our repository from 1.3.2 to 9i.
Index entries were created for both the Primary keys and Foreign keys. The indexes were created by us and not by designer.
After migration to 9i the index entries for primary and Foreign are missing in the design editor. When we generate a table we get an error because these index entries are missing.
Does designer 9i support index entries?Or How are indexes handled by designer 9i?

To clarify, your index entries were in the database but NOT defined in Des 1.3.2 model? Because if they were in the model, then I'd look back at your intermediate migration definitions to make sure the indexes were still defined properly in there.
In Des 2.1/6.0/6i/9i/10g, Indexes are a separate sub-element (SACs) for a Table Definition. They don't have to be associated with a key structure. And in newer database versions, a PK / UK has an implicit index constructed for it in the database, so Designer doesn't bother showing you the Index in the model. Just the PK or UK itself (again, these are also separate SACs).
And it's not clear where you're getting the error. During the generate? Or during the instantiation into a database? Neither situation is a common fault.

  • Issues after migrating from 3.0.6.6.5 to 3.0.9.8.3A

    G'day All,
Over the last week or so I have performed some test migrations using copies
of our production Portal environment and here are some of the issues that I have encountered.
    ISSUE 1 - Performance
Using a stopwatch (primitive, I know) I visited a few parts of our Portal and recorded timings
Performance did not improve dramatically. In fact, after the 3.0.9.8.3A patch, some things slowed right down.
    I tested using a Sun Ultra 80 (2 x 450MHz CPUs) our Development host.
(I also tested using a spare Ultra 10 (1 x 333MHz) This was MUCH slower than the numbers seen below)
In all the timings below, I did the following:
1.Logged on as PORTAL30 this takes me to the Portal Home page showing the Build tab
    2. Clicked on the Navigator icon
    3. From the Navigator Pages section, I clicked on our company homepage
    4. From the Main tab on the company homepage, I clicked on our Customer Service tab (one of many that we have)
    5. Click on the Ops & Security tab (another one of ours)
    6. Click on Logout
Timings are in SECONDS. I ran thru the process at least 3 times and recorded
the final 2 timings to allow for the first time thru populating caches etc.

** Bringing up Navigator and the first page from Navigator now takes ages.
Analysing PORTAL30 objects using wwsbr_stats.gather_stats made no difference
    to the above timings.
Anyone have any ideas about this???
Bear in mind that this slow down probably only affects me as the
developer since end users pretty much stick to the tabs on the homepage
and never need to use Navigator.
And end user login and presentation of the company homepages takes about 4 seconds.
    ISSUE 2 - Fonts
During the migration, many of our developed forms/reports now contain headings/labels that
are so small as to be unreadable (eg 1 point in size)
This seems to be due to the fact that originally the fonts were sized as (-3, -2, -1, 0, +1, +2, +3)
relative sizing. This has been screwed up during migration and has ended up as fonts
being sized 1, 2, 3 points in size.
I will have to visit each form and report and set sizes accordingly.
The PEOPLE_APP application supplied by Oracle also suffers from this problem and is a little harder
    to fix. (Check Metalink)
    ISSUE 3 - Menu permissions
I have a couple of menus that are only viewable by certain groups.
This permission disappeared along the way leaving the menu NOT visible to anyone.
I will have to visited each menu and set permissions once again.
I hope this list may help others embarking on the same migration path.
I would highly recommend copying your production environment and practising on the copy first.

Further to the performance problem above, I found the following bug on Metalink:
    Bug Number: 2391402
PERFOMANCE DEGRADATION WITH 3.0.9.8.3 ON IE
Funnily enough, this bug was meant to be addressed by the 3.0.9.8.3A patch that I had already applied.
After reading the bug report I added the following line to httpd.conf
    BrowserMatch "MSIE" nokeepalive downgrade-1.0 force-response-1.0
I am now seeing the following timings
    Log in          3     3
    Navigator     3     3 !!!!!!!!
    Homepage     3     3 !!!!!!!!
    First tab     3     3
    Second tab     3     3
    Logout          1     1
There is a 15 second timeout that was adding to the response times I was seeing prior
to making the change to the httpd.conf file eg. 19 seconds down to 3ish
