Issue Audio Recording using inbuilt Microphones

Hi There,
As we know that there are 2 microphones in Sony Xperis Z1. When we record audio in some applications like whatsapp, I am not sure which mic to use, because both the mics work, but the issue is either Right or Left audio is dominating if we use any one mic, If we record from middle, audio volume is not great. Is there any work around for this. Its annoying, after spending huge amount of money. It would be better if we have a single mic active for apps like whatsapp, wechat etc.
Regards,
Austin

10) The microphone at the bottom center is the main microphone,
14) The microphone on the back (second microphone) is for noise canceling.

    wich one the best for Audio Recording using cubase and pro tools? MBP md102 or MBP md103? i often using a lot of VST too

    Well, I've been trying this for a while. By my calculations, at this rate, installing all the applications one by one and trying to restore all the data manually will take me about six years. I would finished just in time for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
    The main problem is, I don't know where all the bodies are buried. Just one example, I'm using Cornerstone for an svn client. I have working copies of multiple repositories on my computer. I really don't want to set them all up again, and I can't figure out where the Cornerstone preferences and all settings are stored. I couldn't find them in the Library anywhere.
    And that's just one case.
    I haven't done much with my MacBook Pro yet, I think in retrospect the easiest course of action is to reinstall OS X as though it were new MacBook Pro, start from scratch, and use my Time Machine backup with the migration assistant and go from there.
    And that's what I'm doing right now. I'm in the middle of reinstalling OS X.
    Afterwords I'll use a clean app uninstaller application to get rid of all the applications that I'm not using. And I'll just hack away at directories that I know I haven't looked at for years, with the confidence that I have a backup both in Time Machine and in CCC and also on my iMac. That's three backups.
    I would rather start out "light", but I can see it's just going to take forever and a day to get it done. Anyway, fortunately nothing is carved in stone, and I can always try again if I want to. But dealing with all the documents and all the applications one by one separately was just obviously going to take too much time.
    I'll report back on my results. And I appreciate your suggestion.

  • Voice recording using external microphone

    Hi,
    I need to record my voice using an external microphone on my Pavilion 15-n097ea. There is only a combined headphone/mic jack and I have read that I need a 4 conductor connection. I can't seem to find any local shops that sell them and was advised to buy a USB sound card that has the pink and green ports, or a 3.5mm 4 pin to 2x3 headset splitter adapter - M/F. Any suggestions as to whether this will work, and if so can you recommend a headset that will give a good quality voice over, without costing the earth?
    My control panel shows this in the sound section:
    Mic in at front panel (black)
    Realtek High Definition Audio
    Not Plugged In
    Microphone
    Realtek High Definition Audio
    Default Device
    Stereo Mix
    Realtek High Definition Audio
    Ready
    Many thanks in advance!

    There's plenty of software you can use to record your voice to mp3 then just put the mp3 into your fla.

  • Mac Mini for audio recording using LOGIC X

    Has anyone had experience using the latest Mac mini for audio recording? I'm thinking of purchasing the 2.6GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x8GB 1TB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400 rpm  model. I'll be using Logic X along with Reasons, Wave, UA plugins with a Apollo I/O  I'd appreciate any feedback and or suggestions.

    I'd work off of another hard drive as much as possible.  Install the applications to your boot drive, but keep your data on a separate external hard drive.  If you try to run OS, apps and big audio data off of that 5400, I foresee performance issues even with 16GB of RAM.  Also, don't forget a second external hard drive for your backups.

  • Recording with inbuilt microphone

    Hi
    I'll be travelling overseas in the coming months, and will be keeping a blog for my trip. I want to podcast an occasional audio commentary as part of this blog (using iWeb) - ideally using my Powerbook's inbuilt mike.
    I'm sure it's there, but I cannot seem to find the inbuilt Apple recording program which allows me to record this commentary. Any clues? Thanks.

    You may want to read this article Podcasting, it’s easier than you think.
    If you can get your hands on an old version of Wiretap (the free version) and using Line-in from Rogue Amoeba you can record using the built-in mic. In theory you can use GarageBand too. I did once with GB version 1.1, but have never been able to repeat it. Either way, it will be of poor quality.
    If you can use a USB headset instead the quality will be better.
    Good luck.

  • Audio recording using KinectStudio API

    Hi, I'm using KStudio APIs to record raw data from the kinect v2.
    I found some documents and I can now record the raw color and IR data. However, I cannot find a way to include the audio beam using EventStreamDataTypeIDs class. Would you let me know how to add audio in the recorded xef file?
    i am attaching a part of my code.
            private void InitKStudio()
                client = KStudio.CreateClient();
                client.ConnectToService();
                streamCollection = new KStudioEventStreamSelectorCollection();
                streamCollection.Add(KStudioEventStreamDataTypeIds.UncompressedColor);
                streamCollection.Add(KStudioEventStreamDataTypeIds.RawIr);
    Thank you in advance!

  • T400 (2765/21G) Audio-Recording only from Microphone ?

    Hello Forum,
    in my T400 works an Conexant Smart 221 Chip for Sound.
    Vista x64 Ultimate is my System.
    Now I try to record Sound from an avi File (During the File play).
    The Problem is: In the Recording Settings, Microphone is the only Choice for Record Source.
    I missed an entry like "Stereo-Mix" or "What you hear" (the Devicename is Different).
    In every PC or Notebook System I ever had, I was able to record the Sound that actually plays on the System.
    So what...? Do I need other Driver ? Doesn´t the Conexant Smart 221 support that ?
    Anyone an Idea ?
    I hope the Post is readable for you, and my English is realy not perfect

  • Audio recording using Logic and Mbox

    Sirs,
    I've to import vinyl using Logic and the Mbox (Digimedia) card. Does anyone have experience in such kind of operation?
    Thanks in advance for your help.

    No MBox, but I just patch my turntable into a phono preamp I bought at Radio Shack about 25 years ago (in order to have RIAA equalization) and the preamp outs into your interface and you can record like normal.

  • Ipad2 : Skype and Audio Recording using Audiomemo

    I use the iPad version of Skype and record on-line university tutorials with the "audiomemo" app.  Until recent upgrades I was able to do this. I now can't.  Has Apple recently placed an "inhibitor" that causes Skype 'phone calls to close down when another audio application is being used? Audiomemo tell me that they have not. Skype, tell me too that they haven't (albeit on the iPad it works using their iPhone version!). Hmmm.

  • Why can't I record using a microphone on a guitar or bass amp?

    I plug in a microphone in the audio input jack, above the headphone jack, then I put the microphone against the speaker of the amp. I"m trying to record live bass, then live guitar, etc....I go to system preferences to sound, and I have to max out the input and output levels. Then I have to crank the amp way louder than I want to, so when i'm playing the bass along with the drum loop, i only get one little light on the track level, which isn't enough....I should be able to record at a low volume without having to max out the input and output levels in the sound prefs.......am i missing a step? I think the problem is the microphone is just a cheap one and it's not picking up?

    I'm not familiar with the MTTY program but your problem is extremely common and usually the result of not sending a termination character at the end of the command string. Most serial instrument require this and it's usually a carriage return or line feed character. In the LabVIEW example, right click the string control where you are entering your command and select '\' Codes Display. Type a \r (carriage return) or \n (line feed) or a combination of both, at the end of the command. Your instrument manual should tell you exactly what is required.

  • Audio recording using realtime effects

    What I would like to be able to do is record a "dry" track, say a guitar track, but during the recording actually hear it with one of the Soundtrack effects such as echo or reverb. Is this possible? I know I can "add" the effect after the recording, but I would like to hear how it will sound as I'm playing. When improvising a lot can depend how the "effect" influences the rhythm. Any tips or answers? Thanks in advance! David
    PS: Using GarageBand there are those "guitar sounds" that you can use, but the track is then recorded hot with them and nothing can be changed afterward, at least as far as I have seen.

    Well, simply put . . . no. You can't play through plugins in STP.

  • When I make a audio recording, I miss the breathing before the first note using metronome click

    When I make a audio recording, using count in metronome click, I miss the breathing before the first tone. I hear very abrupt the first tone. I like some environment before, the acoustic of the hall

    So... if i understand what you are trying to achieve...
    When recording sing a single short note (To actually start the recording and then wait a bar before you start actually singing your music.. You can then go back and edit out the single note leaving the ambience... and your breathing intact and recorded.

  • Problem in using the microphone in a Motorola HT820

    Hello,
    I'm trying to use the microphone in a Motorola HT820 bluetooth headset/headphones. It works well when I use just headphones, so I don't have any problem when I listen. However, when I use Skype or audio recording applications, the microphone doesn't work at all. When I set up audio, if I choose HT820 microphone as an input device, an error message comes up which says "Bluetooth audio failed. There was an error connecting to your headset. Make sure it is turned on and in range. The audio portion of the program you were using may have to be restarted."
    HT820 works well (both headphones and microphone) with my iPhone but the microphone doesn't work at all on my iMac.
    Anyone who knows how to solve this problem? Any comment will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    This has been going on for awhile. It's an Apple system bluetooth software issue, which will hopefully be solved in the next OS X update.

  • Audio Recording on a 4G iPod

    Hi,
    Is there a way to improve the quality of the audio recording using iTalk?
    I know that istalling Linux on the iPod allows to bring the sample rate to 96kHz instead of the mono 8kHz with ther regular iPod OS.
    But Linux seems not to be working with iTalk..
    Any ideas, advises?
    Thanks

    You could add Perian.  It may help (...or not).
    Wait, you received and audio recording and you are trying to use a video player (vlc) to play it?  What kind of file is it?  Does it have a filename extension?  If it is .wmv then you might want to install Flip4Mac.  Then you could play it with QuickTime.
