Hi all,
can't find the solution for this, have already resetted the password via iforget. iCloud site accepts my password but then gives me an error while trying to access my email. In Apple Mail, after updating the password, it still tells me that it is wrong.
Can anyone help?
Thanks.Even your problem aroused more than six months ago, let me mention that I am facing similar problem (created another thread where I asked about), I also called Applecare, and they told me I had to wait since aparently the issue was a "server side" issue. What concerns me is the case was "closed" & I am still facing the problem since this morning (case 331263318 )

Please perform a Factory Default Reset to clear the old, and possibly corrupted settings on the AirPort Extreme to get it back to original settings. Then, reconfigure the device again using the passwords of your choice.

Why can't I access iCloud after resetting the password?
For months now I have not been able to access my MAC email thru Mail from our MacBook Air. After not bothering for a while (have other things to do like most of us) I have reset it again and same problem. I can access it from any (!!) other computer including the iPads, iMac and even my shielded Windows based work computer using MS Explorer... If I try to use Safari to log into the Cloud from the MB Air I also can not get in from the MB Air despite being able to from any other computer.
Can anyone help with this? I would be most grateful as this is more than odd...
P.S. I have deleted the account and tried to add it again using the new password.OK, no responses (normally quite quick and helpful), could mean this is a unique failure or user error. I have just spent half a day trying to fix and searching on the internet for solutions but see nothing that works. I am close to ditching the Mail and Mac related email system if I can not resolve in the next 2 days or so. This is a big change so if anyone out there knows why this MB Air laptop does nto allow us to log in whereas other computers (Macs and otherwsise do) I would greatly appreciate your advice. I am sure this is an authentication issue but the cause is becoming irrelevant.
Many thanks! -

Installing the Password Reset Feature for 3.0.7
Sometimes users forget their passwords and want to reset them. The Login Server offers a
feature that resets a user's password to a random value and then notifies the user of the new password.
This feature potentially presents a security issue, because the user is unauthenticated when requesting a password reset for a particular user account. For this reason, the password reset feature is not enabled by default and must be set up by the following steps.
Perform the following steps to install the password reset feature:
1. On the database where the Login Server is installed, log on to SQL*Plus as the Login Server schema
Example: sqlplus portal30_sso/portal30_sso
2. Enter the following command:
@ssoreset
This script creates a package called WWSSO_APP_ACCOUNT in the Login Server
schema and grants execute privileges on the WWSSO_APP_ACCOUNT package to PUBLIC. WWSSO_APP_ACCOUNT contains a single procedure, reset_password, that resets a password to a random value.
3.After resetting the password, the reset_password procedure calls another procedure WWSSO_ALERT.password_reset_notification). The purpose of the
password_reset_notification procedure is to inform the user of the new password. However, the default implementation of the password_reset_notification
procedure, created during the installation of the Login Server, does nothing.
The specification of the WWSSO_ALERT package is:
CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE wwsso_alert
IS
/* General failure exception. This will be used by the UI to alert the user that the notification
Note: You must replace the WWSSO_ALERT package body with an
implementation that sends the user his or her new password, for example, through e-mail (using UTL_SMTP), or workflow. If you do not replace this package body, the password will be reset to a value that no-one will ever know, and the user will still be unable to log on.

4. Create a page that calls the reset_password procedure to allows users to
reset their passwords.
Reset Password Page Example
The following is an example of how to design a page for resetting a user's password.
<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE="Reset password">

<INPUT TYPE="HIDDEN" NAME="p_back_url"
VALUE="http://server.domain[:port]/pls/dad/schema.home">
<INPUT TYPE="HIDDEN" NAME="p_error_url"
VALUE="http://server.domain[:port]/pls/dad/schema.error">
<INPUT TYPE="SUBMIT" VALUE="Reset Password">
<FORM>

</HTML>
After the password for a user name has been reset (p_back_url) to the reset_password proced ure, the page must pass at least a user name (p_user) and the URL of a page to which to return. The page may also pass the URL of a page to display if any errors are encountered (p_error_url).

Tried resetting password, reset the password for other account.
I currently have two itunes accounts, and when I tried to reset the password for one of them, it reset the password for the other instead. After reseting the password by entereing email 1, I tried to log in with it, it did not work. I got very angry but then had an idea, so I entered email 2 and the new password and it worked. Why is it that I reset the password for account 2 even though when reseting the password I entered email 1? I can not reset the password for account 1, making it immpossible to update the apps purchased with it. I am beyond irate with itunes for this, not to mention the fact that it didn't send the reset conformation email until the third try!!!
Please help.You can reset SAP* password after that logging using SAP* password PASS you can reset DDIC password for the client .
Run this in SQL*Plus
DELETE FROM SAPSID.USR02 WHERE MANDT='<CLIENT>'
AND BNAME='SAP*';
You will require additional DBA skill set to reset DDIC password ( Which is not recommanded aslo )
The best option I would suggest .
1)Delete SAP* using above query .
2)Logon using SAP* password pass
3)Reset DDIC password.

When trying to log on to my personal hotspot on my Ipone, after entering the password the system continues to ask for the password over and over again. How do I fix this?
Hi SheilaStuhr,
The troubleshooting steps detailed below can help get you connected to your iPhone's personal hostpot.
Basic troubleshooting
See if your iOS device, computer, and wireless plan all meet the system requirements for Personal Hotspot.
Make sure Personal Hotspot is on: Tap Settings > Cellular > Personal Hotspot.
Check the Internet connection on your iOS device: Tap Safari and load a new webpage.
If one connection type doesn't work, try another. For example, instead of connecting using Wi-Fi, use USB or Bluetooth.
Turn Personal Hotspot off and on: Tap Settings > Personal Hotspot or Settings > Cellular > Personal Hotspot.
Install the latest version of iOS.
Reset your network settings: Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
If you still see the issue, restore the iPhone.
If you're still experiencing issues, try the steps below.
Wi-Fi troubleshooting
If you encounter an issue using Personal Hotspot with other Wi-Fi devices, try these steps:
Turn Personal Hotspot off.
Turn on Wi-Fi: Tap Settings > Wi-Fi.
Turn on Personal Hotspot.
If another device can't join your Wi-Fi network, make sure the Wi-Fi password is correct.
If the device can't see your Wi-Fi network, check your device name. Windows may not correctly show a device name that uses non-ASCII characters.
See how many devices are using your Personal Hotspot. Depending on your wireless carrier, the number of Wi-Fi connections may be limited to three devices at once.
If the other device still can't connect, turn Wi-Fi off and on for the device.
Make sure that your device can see other Wi-Fi networks.
Note: If you see "Unable to Join" or a timeout error when you try to connect a device using Wi-Fi, remain on the Personal Hotspot screen until the first device connects. After the device connects, you can leave the Personal Hotspot screen and use your iPhone normally. Your device will stop broadcasting Wi-Fi if you put it to sleep or if 90 seconds elapse and no connected devices use Wi-Fi. To share your Wi-Fi network again, tap Settings > Personal Hotspot.

Have been advised by my email provider (recently blocked account requiring password reset) that they will only reset the password after a proven anti virus and malware scan has been done on ipad and iphone. Is this necessary and if so what do i use
As KP has pointed out, there actually aren't any anti-virus programs in the App Store. There are a few that allow you to scan e-mail or stuff like that, and a few that provide you with information about malware and new threats for other systems. But none are available that can scan your iOS device for malware, because the security restrictions in iOS do not permit any apps to have that kind of access to anything. Which means that you also cannot be infected with a virus (unless you have jailbroken your device).
If your account got compromised, that had nothing whatsoever to do with your iPad. Someone simply hacked it remotely. Happens all the time. It's really amazing that, in this day and age, e-mail providers are so ignorant of technology and how their own systems get compromised that they would try to require you to run software that does not exist! -
Every time I try to use apple ID for face time I got an error message "the username or password was incorrect" although they are right and I use them in App Store and I cloud even after resetting my password, the problem happens also with iMessage . Please help
For what it's worth, you posted this in 2011, and here in 2014 I am still having this same issue. Over the last two days, I have had to unlock my apple account 8 times. I didn't get any new devices. I haven't initiated a password reset. I didn't forget my password. I set up two factor authentication and have been able to do the unlocking with the key and using a code sent to one of my devices.
That all works.
It's this having to unlock my account every time I go to use any of my devices. And I have many: iMac, iPad, iPad2, iPad mini, iPhone 5s, iPod touch (daughter), and my old iPhone 4 being used as an ipod touch now. They are all synced, and all was working just fine.
I have initiated an incident with Apple (again) but I know they are just going to suggest I change my Apple ID. It's a simple one, and one that I am sure others think is theirs. I don't want to change it. I shouldn't have to. Apple should be able to tell me who is trying to use it, or at least from where.
Thanks for listening,
Melissa
