Issue displaying a particular web site

Can anyone help me figure out why Safari on both my Macbook Pro and Powerbook G4 displays my corporate web site improperly? I seem to be the only person having this issue.
If you go to my site:
http://www.kaimanbros.com you'll see that we have a gray background. However, in Safari on my two machines, the gray background is cut off about two-thirds across the body of the page. Instead, black is in its place.
The site was created in Dreamweaver.
Thanks for any ideas.

This particular problem has been reported at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=622472 I have just voted for that bug.
Since my last report one month ago above, I have found the "Report Broken Website" appears under the Help menu item, is clickable when a webpage is displayed, but just endlessly displays a "Sending Report to server" dialog. It has never worked for me since several weeks ago. The moving blue bar under "Sending Report" just keeps moving but nothing happens.
Mozilla Firefox 3.6.13 , the latest version according to Check Updates. Windows Vista Home Premium.
    Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.2.13) Gecko/20101203 Firefox/3.6.13 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729)
Expected behaviour: I guess the Report menu item should be grayed out or invisible until the reporting mechanism works.

Go step by step and test.
    1. Power off the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait a while.
Plug it back to the wall. Power the router on. Wait until all the lights are lit properly. It will take a while.
        Restart the computer.
        Start up in Safe Mode.

    2. Empty Caches
        Safari > Preference > Advanced
Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
Develop menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.
Click Develop and select "Empty Caches" from the dropdown.
    3. Deselect Proxies if selected.

How do I get Safari to open first to a particular web site?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
You have to choose that site as the homepage. To do that, open Safari, go to Safari menu (on the menu bar) > Preferences > General, and change the homepage by the one you want, so every time you open Safari, that website will show

  • When switching away from a particular web site, the audio often continues.

When switching away from an eagle cam web site, the audio often continues after leaving the site or will stop then restart later.
Only happens from this one web site but occurs on two different computers using Firefox browser but not others. This seemed to start with Firefox 10 and continues with FF 11. I have watched this particular web site off and on for a year and never had this experience with the audio restarting after leaving the site.
This is the only site I have found where this happens and it happens only with FF, not IE or Chrome. I also learned that a friend has the same problem on the same site on her computer.
Any help resolving this is appreciated.

Sounds like a problem with the plugin-container process that doesn't stop properly and keeps playing the sound.

  • Tracking Time on a particular Web Site

Several people in my house share the same laptop. I would like to see how long some one was on a particular web site. Can I look at that in some file on my mac? I have looked through Safari and can't find anywhere to find that information. Maybe in Terminal?

    Hi Bernie,
Safari keeps track of the date and time when website are downloaded (viewed) in its history. It has no way of knowing how long you view the site but will give you the date and time of the next site you view which could give you an idea. The date of access is stored within its history plist file (~/Library/Safari/History.plist).
If you open this up and look under root>WebHistoryDates>Item#>'Last Visited Date' (item number being the most recently visited site) you will get the time of the visit in absolute seconds. Absolute seconds are the number of seconds that have passed since Midnight January 1st 2001. Random I know. Anyways if you say access a video on youtube at 300,000,000.0 and then accessed your email at 3000,000,060.0 you could determine that you viewed the youtube site for 1 min sometime in June of 2010.
There are programs which will instantly calculate the date and time for you from these numbers but for your purposes it seems you just need to subtract the 2 to get number of seconds passed.
    Hope this helps.
edit: be sure you don't change anything in the plist file, nor have it open when safari is running, to prevent any corruption.

  • In my Firefox page I only can type in a subject in Google Search, so where do I type in a particular web site

I have Firefox now as my default browser. But, when the Firefox window comes up there is no place where I can type in a specific web site address. There is only a spot where I can do a Google search. How or where do I type in a particular www.----.com?

Use the "Alt" key to temporarily display menus
    View > Toolbars > ...
make sure the Location bar is checkmarked
Ctrl+L should bring up the location bar even if not shown,
and will place the cursor inside the entry area.

  • Unable to access a particular web site via FOS

This problem started a week or so ago.  Using different computers (Windows or MAC) I am not able to access the web site www.vibeconference.com which is using IP Address 74.208.213.17 using any of several browsers, Explorer, Firefox, Safari.  In addition, I am not able to ping the url or IP address, I just get timeouts.
All of the above occurs when I use a computer connected to my FIOS Service.  I can access this url just fine using my Cell Phone which uses Verizon Wireless or my wife's using AT&T Wireless
I have tried using OpenDNS's DNS Servers, same problem.  I am baffled by the fact that it only happens with this one web site (that I know of).
I have power cycled my router, checked its settings, no luck.
    Any ideas?

OK, I figured out how to use a Free Web Proxy and am able to navigate to the web site.  I am still baffled by what is causing the block but I guess that is the hosting companies issue or some issue between them and Verizon.  I also left my router off overnight so that I would get a different IP address which I did.  So it is not my particular IP address which is getting blocked but probably a range belonging to Verizon.

  • How to add a specific font needed for a particular web site?

The web site "www.gadima.com" requires the Marathi font (True Type), for displaying its content properly in Marathi language. This font is already installed in the CentOs. Firefox does not display the information in proper Marathi fonts, but displays only garbage.
I already set this "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"
    still this not work..
In opera this web site displays proper marathi font.
    I have "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.24) Gecko/20111109 CentOS/3.6-3.el5.centos AlexaToolbar/alxf-2.14 Firefox/3.6.24"

Did you install all 5 fonts?
    EDIT:
I see the same on Linux in Firefox 3.6.25, so it looks that the MillenniumGanesh and LscapeRegDevPriya fonts aren't working in Firefox 3.6.25 (it works for me in Firefox 9).

  • Missing part of my page on a particular web site

I recently installed Adblock Plus because I had 2 web sites that were placing ads (World of Watchs and Ebags) at the bottome of my Cityville web page. After installing Adblock, the ads are gone but the portion of the page where they were was not reclaimed, i.e., I have a band of white about an inch and a half at the bottom of my page. How do I reclaim my page real estate?

That content may get added by a Firefox extension or malware, so blocking may only prevent it from getting fetched and displayed
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

  • Source control issues with Azure Pack Web Sites

Struggling to get my Azure Pack Web Sites POC off the ground.  Infrastructure is built and I'm ready to deploy a .NET app.  I can successfully deploy an app from the gallery and tested and it works so we're good there.
However I'm having an issue with source control and getting an app deployed.  We have a local instance of Github enterprise here we use for all code repositories.  Can I use this?  In my tenant site I have created a new web site and added
an external repository for source control.  I put in the HTTP link to my local github enterprise repo and it tries for a minute and returns the following error:
Command 'git.exe fetch external ...' aborted due to no output and CPU activity for 60 seconds. You may increase SCM_COMMAND_IDLE_TIMEOUT setting to solve the issue.
    git.exe fetch external --progress
There's nowhere I can specify credentials or SSH keys so azure pack can communicate with my repo (i'm assume this is the issue).  I can't put company custom code out on codeplex or public github so that's out.  Am I trying to do something that
    isn't possible in Azure Pack?

I guess I'm confused.  When I go into my web site and click the Setup deployment from source control, under the External repository option it says both Git and Mercurial repositories are supported.  This is a different button than the GitHub option
for source code.  So what's the point of that option is you can't actually use a git repo?

  • Can not open a particular web site

Hi, I always tried to open one web site and it used to open well in Firefox and IE. but since last few days it stopped opening both in FF and IE. It gives error as
    1. The connection has timed out The server at www.eng-tips.com is taking too long to respond.
2.If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
    connection.
3.If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
I Google with all above questions and tried most of the solutions, nothing works. Wondering why it stooped opening suddenly ? I tried to open it from other locations just to check if its down but its fine and working but can not open from my home internet. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

  • Firefox does not load one particular web site

Firefox used to conect just fine to Dish Network's web site for customer support logon, but lately the web page fails to load while
the progress line at the bottom of the web page tells me I'm "connected."

Spinning counter clockwise means that Firefox is trying to connect to the web server.<br />
If a connection is established and the loading starts then you see a clockwise running throbber.

  • How do I allow a particular web site to redirct?

A needed web site tries to redirect me as I log in. Fire fox stops this. I woukd like to change thjs sjte by site.

    See:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > General : Accessibility : [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page"
The setting in "Tools > Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.
