Issue exporting odd resolution

I am having issues exporting a 27248x64 resolution video from After Effects. It needs to be 30 fps, and 30 seconds long. I created the file in Photoshop and have tried bringing the file into AE as a PSD, JPEG, and GIF. All are viewable within AE but when I run it through the Render Queue the video comes out as just black.  The video should be a still image with a patterned background and some text but nothing shows up. Is the resolution size too big? I looked up what the max size that AE can export and it say it can accomodate 30000x30000 resolution videos. So what gives?
I even tried exporting a tif sequence and all of the tif files look fine. I re-imported that into AE and again it looks fine but it will not export. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

If you want to see a movie instead of an image sequence then try rendering to Quicktime JPEG. ProRez is designed for standard frame sizes only so it's never going to work. For all of the digital signage that I have ever delivered I have delivered an image sequence as backup and used their codec if available. About half the signage that I have delivered was converted by the facility to their proprietary format from image sequences.

  • Issue exporting JPEGs

    Hi there,
    I'm having some major issues exporting JPEGs from inDesign. Where I've been successful before on another copy (a workmate's) my newly purchased copy of inDesign CS5.5 is being troublesome.
    What I want to do is select a series of images in a small area, some of which are on top of one another, and export them as they appear onscreen.
    Admittedly I could do a screengrab to do this but they won't necessarily be in the resolution I'd like and more annoyingly I would have to remove all the surrounding images and bits of text to create a clean image. This is far too time-consuming for a task I need to repeat.
    Every time I attempt to export (via File>Export then "Selection") the resulting file has the overlaid images (in this case small labels on a map) incorrectly placed, not even on top of the main image itself and in fact thrown off massively in seemingly random directions.
    Anybody any ideas as to how to resolve this?
    Thanks

    @ Peter, thanks for the help but I don't understand what you mean by 7.5.2. My InDesign is 5.5.
    There's the slight prolem that the image in question is copyright and currently unreleased. I've edited it to show what the problem is though.
    The two circles on the right should be overlaid on top of the image to the left, as I say, they're keys to the map. I'm trying to work out how they've moved so far away and made the resulting JPG so wide. The upper circle should also be on top of the lower one.

  • Export multiple resolutions/formats/versions in single export preset

    I would like to be able export multiple resolutions of a project at the same time into separate folders. I can kind of do this now by having multiple export presets and running each of them right after the other and then letting them export simultaneously. Even though the export preset has a folder name specified, I have to manually type in the unique project name into each export preset. Unfortunately  this becomes a little bit cumbersome as I often use 3 or 4 export presets for each project, and I may be exporting multiple projects at the same time. Obviously it makes sense to just type the unique text once (or have it automatically read from metadata) to avoid typos and make it easier on me.
    I think there are two parts to make this work. The first is using metadata to name the folder name (to ensure unique foldernames), and the second is to allow "export preset groups" that export multiple presets together.
    Here is my scenario:
    I have three export presets:
    600px saves to subfolder "project 600px for web"
    2400px saves to subfolder "project 2400px for print"
    600px watermark saves to subfolder "project 600px watermark"
    So I have to type the real project name, replacing "project" three times for each project. This information could be easily entered automatically because lightroom already has that metadata in the folder name, or collection name.
    This could be entered for the folder name in the same way custom file naming is done with the Filename Template Editor.
    Another option would be use the Custom Text field in the Filename Template Editor to manually enter the project name if it's not already in some metadata field.
    All of this already works great with the file name options, it just needs to be applied to the folder name as well.
    Once the folder naming is taken care of, just group multiple presets into a preset group, or allow to select multiple presets at once, and exporting multiple resolutions/formats/versions of a group of images is made easy.

    Thanks Rob
    Your export plugin does allow running multiple export presets in a single group, however it still doesn't address the folder naming issue. Using your tool, I can easily initiate my multiple presets in a single export, however I am stuck using the generic foldername that I specified in my original export preset. This means that after the export completes, I still have to rename the folders to the particular project name. I would save the time of typing the project name into lightroom, but then just have to repeat that same task later outside of lightroom. It also prevents me from exporting two projects at the same time (or one after the other) because both projects would end up in the same generically named folders.
    That said it is a useful plugin that I will likely use under the specific scenarios where it does work.

  • Font issues exporting PDF in Keynote 6.5

    Is anyone else experience font issues exporting PDF's in Keynote 6.5?
    My entire team has been having issues specifically exporting the font Merriweather. It's been fine in the presentation itself, but in the PDF - it's spaced out aggressively and the font weight/type/size is always wrong.
    It's been a real hassle, as our brand body copy font is Merriweather and we've never had a problem with it.

    The conversion issue seems to be tied to OTF fonts. Converting Merriweather to TTF, deleting OTF versions from Font Book, and/or System Font Folder worked for us. Clearing font cache and restarting can further flush out any legacy conflicts.

  • Registry Settings for Exporting Image resolution (RDC XI R2)

    The following document describes registry settings to control exported image resolution:
    [http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/30407084-c51d-2b10-1f81-813488350e6f?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/30407084-c51d-2b10-1f81-813488350e6f?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true]
    However, that document is old.
    Where can we find instructions for XI R2 RDC applications?

    There are several informal & conflicting suggestions that one can find via internet searches.  For example:
    Add the following registry entries under HKEY_CURRENT_USER
    -> Software -> Seagate Software -> Crystal Reports Designer Component -> Export
    BitMapMagnifDenominator = 4 (DWord)
    BitMapMagnifNumerator = 5 (DWord)
    I'm looking for a definitive document/instruction from SAP.
    One of my customers just reported that the following settings work:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER
    -> Software  -> Business Objects -> Suite 11.5  -> Crystal Reports Designer Component -> Export
    BitMapMagnifDenominator = 1 (DWord)
    BitMapMagnifNumerator = 4 (DWord)
    Thanks,

  • AE issue exporting wrong animation

    hey everyone
    im not good at explaining what the issue is but ill try my best.
    basically ive created a shot 30 sec animation made up of photoshop files and a particle preset along with text and it works perfectly in sync in high resolution in the RAM preview, however when i export it some of the animation and path keyframes ive set for some of the photoshop graphics change in the export. eg the wrong size and they have different start and end positions. ive tried exporting .avi and .mov and rendering it out and the same thing happens to the same photoshop layer.
    please help its for a college assignment and i need it by saturday
    thanks anyways
    cheers leanne

    Well, sounds like you mix up pixel aspect ratios. Make sure your footage interpretation, composition settings and output module settings are in line. For Photoshop-based stuff, you should work in square pixels pretty much all the time. if you created your animation in the proper square pixel equivalent of an anamorphic comp for DVD/ TV output, you can easily nest everything shortly before rendering to enforce correct aspect ratio treatment. You would e.g. simply animate in a NTSC Widescreen Square comp and place that comp into a normal NTSC Widescreen comp which will be the actual output comp.
    In addition to what I already said, make sure you don't get entangled in problems by using pixel aspect ratio correction in the composition viewer and use mixed sources, so doublecheck.
    Lastly, do not use any of the crop and scale options on the render queue. instead create clean comps and resize your stuff by using nesting once again and the "Fit to Comp" functions.

  • Xorg and framebuffer issues with high resolutions

    So I got a nice shiny new 23" 1080p Asus VH236H monitor. Unfortunately, it's not turning out to be as great I was hoping, possibly due to the Geforce FX5200 bios, but I'm not sure. I think these issues are probably related, so I put them in the same thread.
    First, the console: vesafb, uvesafb, and nvidiafb all fail at delivering a useable framebuffer greater than 1280x1024. vesafb flat out denies anything beyond 795 (0x31B). uvesafb and nvidiafb will fall back on 1280x1024@75Hz, which causes text to flash all over the screen and requires a reboot to remedy. It doesn't matter if I feed fbset the exact timings X uses, they'll still fallback on 1280x1024. `hwinfo --vbe` has this to say about hardware support:

    Supposedly, the framebuffer should be able to support 1400x1050, but I can't get it, possibly because it's not listed as monitor supported. Does this mean that I'm stuck with a 1280x1024 max res?
    This brings me to my next problem... Xorg. On my old monitor, I liked the nvidiafb-fbdev driver combination because I could quickly switch between X and console, and so long as I had the proprietary nvidia gl libraries installed, X ran smoothly. (never got the nv driver fbdev option to function with stability) Obviously, this is impossible now. I can't get nv to run at a resolution greater than 1280x1024. With the proprietary drivers, max resolution is 1440x900; however, if I disable max pixel clock checking, support for 1680x1050 and 1920x1080 is added.
    Now, this is where things get serious. If I switch back to console after starting X with NoMaxPClkCheck, I get an out of range message from my monitor. I can freely restart/switch back to X and everything is fine there, but the console is unuseable until reboot.

    Brett,
    When working with the file that has many vector points. Try working in Outline mode if you can and if it works for you. Keep in mind with all the complex vectors the screen has to redraw which is taking up application memory when you move or update the object/drawing. If you can try resize the graphic to a smaller size to work with it then enlarge it back to normal size when you are ready for the final version of the file.
    It may help.
    Thanks
    Scott

  • Crystal Reports 10 Enterprise Server Issue - Exporting Large Reports to PDF

    Weu2019re implementing a Crystal Reports 10 Server for a customer but weu2019re having an issue with exporting large reports to PDF.  The report size that starts to show this issue is roughly 300 pages with 20 records per page.  We use the default Crystal ActiveX viewer.
    Basically what happens is that the user will launch the report in the ActiveX viewer and the large report will take a while to load, as much as 3 to 4 minutes.  The user may then wish to export to PDF.  Once they attempt it with these large reports the viewer will basically hang and possibly be processing but will then time-out after roughly 5 minutes with this error:
    u201CProxy Error
    The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
    The proxy server could not handle the request POST /thinqreports/THINQCrystalInterface.asp.
    Reason: Error reading from remote server
    IBM_HTTP_Server/6.1.0.9 Apache/2.0.47 (Unix) Server at lmsproxy.aurora.org Port 443u201D
    We believe this error is coming from a server on our network.  We have a proxy server between users and the Crystal Server that has a 5 minute time-out for connections.  What we want to know is:
    - Is there a way to speed up this export to PDF process?
    - Should the Crystal Viewer be keeping an http connection alive to the Crystal Report Server while its doing this export process?
    - If not, what port does Crystal Viewer use to communicate with the Crystal Report Server?
    - Is there something we can set in Crystal to keep an http connection open?
    - What is actually occurring during this export process?
    Occasionally, we may get the above error when simply launching a report, not just attempting to export to PDF.  We presume that is because loading the report into the Crystal Viewer from the Crystal Report Server is taking longer than 5 min.
    Anyone have any thoughts?  Thanks.
    Scott

    Scott,
    As this is happening within Enteprise (and I am assuming the report does not time out in the Crystal Reports Designer) I would suggest posting this to the BusinessObjects Enterprise Administration
    forum.
    My limited Enterprise knowledge would be to suggest scheduling the report as PDF but I don't know if that is a viable option for you.

  • Issues exporting out of lightroom 4

    I've recently encounterd a problem while trying to export images out of Lightroom 4.  I keep getting an error messge "File canot be written."  This is happening whether I'm exporting a Jpeg or a raw file.   Cannot figure what has happend but it's doing it with old and new files, so it's not an issue of a corrupted file.  Anyone have any experience with this particular issue?
    Dan

    The message tends to indicate an issue with the destination drive. Have you checked there's adequate free space? Have you checked write permissions? Have you tried alternative destinations for the exports?

  • HT1044 Issues w/Low Resolution when trying to print pics from Iphone 4s

    Been trying CONTINUALLY to print images from my Iphone 4S.  Example, uploaded a few pictures from phone to Kodak site.  Get error message, "Low Resolution, may print blurry", message for the photos.  Yes, They DID print blurry.  Recommended by someone, I changed the setting on my Iphone to HDR under Options for Camera.  Still have the issue.  What is purpose of having hundreds of pictures on iphone (that look wonderful on facebook, by the way), but you CaN'T print them out or order prints!??!   Verrrry Frustrating.   Any suggestions how to fix this issue?  I understand there needs to be a certain level of pixels....however, there HAS to be a way to change them to a higher res to get good quality pictures.   Help Please!!  Thank you!

  • Change Export Raster Resolution?

    Hello,
    I am trying to use JavaScript to export layers to PNG... I have a working script, that is basically the same as the example in the Adobe Illustrator CS5 JavaScript Reference:
    function exportFileToPNG24 (dest) {
         if ( app.documents.length > 0 ) {
              var exportOptions = new ExportOptionsPNG24();
              var type = ExportType.PNG24;
              var fileSpec = new File(dest);
              exportOptions.antiAliasing = false;
              exportOptions.transparency = false;
              exportOptions.saveAsHTML = true;
              app.activeDocument.exportFile( fileSpec, type, exportOptions );
    However, this will only export the document to 72ppi, and I don't see anywhere in ExportOptionsPNG24 to change this.
    If you use Illustrator's UI, instead of scripting, and select File > Export... You get the option to select Screen (72ppi), Medium (150ppi), High (300ppi) or Other.
    I found the DocumentRasterResolution constant in the reference, but I can't figure out how to change, or even access the constant?
    I assume if I could reset the constant like:
    DocumentRasterResolution = 3;
    then the above script would export the file to a PNG @ 300 ppi?

    It appears as though the DocumentRasterResolution constant is only referenced by the DocumentPreset object.
    The DocumentPreset object appears to be used when you attempt to create a document with script:
    app.documents.addDocument( DocumentPreset );
    So, I suppose in theory I could recreate the document entirely with script and then reset the preset raster resolution:
    DocumentPreset.rasterResolution = DocumentRasterResolution;
    Buuuuuut, screw that.
    Scaling it is... apparently.

  • FCE Import Issues with 720p resolution (from Panasonic GH1)

    I cannot import 1280x720, 50fps videos from my Panasonic GH1 using the log and transfer window. If I try, the system crashes. Still they play in the preview window. With full HD everything works fine. I would assume that this format is not supported, since it does not show up in the easy setup menu (only 1920x1080 and 1440x1080 available).
    The files imported using iMovie08 can be loaded with no issues. I would assume this is because the have already been converted.
    Does FCE definitively not support import of 1280x720 material or am I doing something wrong?
    Thanks in advanced

    Hi,
    the GH1 shoots full hd 1980x1080 with 25fps (30 for US market). I prefer using 1280x720 (which seems to be AVCHD lite?) with 50fps (60fps for US) which reproduces movement better.
    Imovie09 convert those formats (AVCHD 25fps and AVCHD lite 50fps) to AIC while keeping the original format and frame speed. FCE can import the AIC files at the different formats - this I can see from what FCE is telling me in the browser.
    In FCE I mixed both formats (1080 at 25fps & 720 at 50fps) in a small project and managed to get this exported to 1080 or 720 at different frame rates. I have not yet figured out what how the movie quality compares to each other, but IT WORKS.
    Unless I have forgotten something FCE seems to handle all these formats but crashes as soon as I try to import of 1280x720@50fps files.
    Which in fact brings me back to my question why FCE crashes. With all this capability of handling the different formats I would not have expected a program crash during file import. Which in facts makes me doubt if there still is something wrong....
    I guess I should better start reading the manual.
    Good Luck

  • Issue Exporting TIFF Files in Lightroom 3

    When exporting files from Lightroom in a TIFF Format Lightroom is applying specific dimensions to my photos. How do I make this stop so my files maintain the original image size?
    For example.
    Original Photo - 4256 x 2832, 10.8MB .NEF File shot on D700
    Exported using TIFF Format, No Compression, Pro Photo RGB Colour Space and 16 bit depth. No changes to any part of the original file.
    New exported file - 640 x 426, 1.6MB .TIF File
    Normally I would expect a 16bit TIF export to become a larger file (more MB) yet maintain the original 4256 x 2832 image size.
    This issue is happening for all my images. How can I solve this?

    What have you got selected in this box?

  • Time issue seems odd to me

    I put a secondary domain and po at a remote location - running 8.03 on Sles/Oes and moved all of the "local" users to that po.
    while everything seems to run ok we have a weird time issue.
    Mail into and out of the new mailboxes shows a three and a half hour time difference both in the date column in the groupwise client and in the printed header of the email.
    The odd thing is that if I go to the properties of the email - the Creation date and the File date and time are both correct.
    I can't see any time issues with the servers (primary or secondary) and especially something that would be 3:30 minutes off
    there is a timezone difference between the pri and sec but that's just 1 hour.
    Any thoughts?
    As a workaround I have had my users add the creation column to see when they actually received the email as our clients have time critical projects.
    Thanks
    Dennis

    Danita,
    Thanks for the reply - Oh how I wish it were that easy - I've checked and double checked the PO object and the domain object - both say US eastern time.
    If I send email from a mailbox on the secondary to the primary - everything is correct (a 1 hour time difference - Eastern to Central)
    If I send mail from a mailbox on the primary to the secondary - it shows up right away, but says 3:30 minutes later than it should (in Date/Time, but not in Created)
    If I send email from a mailbox on the secondary to a GMail account - the header shows the 3:30 offset, but the properties of the mail shows correctly.
    I would be happy to send email from that po to anyone that wants to see for themselves.
    Other than the PO Object and the DOM object - Where should I be looking for a time difference
    and how would it be getting UTC minus 30 minutes - - Is there a special timezone out there for Hy Brasil?
    The workstations all get their time settings from "time.windows.com" the windows default.
    Thanks for looking into this - I just hope that I can get it figured out because as small of an issue that I think it is (they get their email, it just looks like it gets read before they officially receive it)
    but it seems that this office uses the received time to track how long it takes them to do their work.
