Issue finding and playing downloaded purchased album

I purchased and downloaded an album from itunes. Played the songs a couple times. Now they will not play or sync to my ipod. Message states Unable to Locate Original file. Has anyone had this problem? Any solutions will be appreciated.

Well, first of all, did you quit itunes when it was downloading? You should have gotten an message saying that you would have to restart your download if you quit now. Then when you reopened itunes, it should have started downloading again. If you paused the download before quiting in the downloads section on the left, then you just need to hit the resume downloading button.
If the download isn't appearing in your downloads section, and you only have part of the show, then I would go to your account details in the itunes store, and then purchase history, click on your tv show purchase (unless it isn't there, And then there is a problem) then click report problem, and then select one of the little things (that say "I didn't recieve this item" and other stuff), Enter in what happened, and send. You will then be contacted by an apple support guys.
I hoped this helped. If the purchase isn't there, you might have not purchased it, or there is a bigger problem, so just report the problem to Apple. That is all I know, so I hoped it helped. They support guys usually contact within a day or two. But they have been quite busy lately with the iphone fiasco, so I don't know. Enjoy!!!

  • After yesterday's "upgrade", iTunes can no longer find and play my music library.  It points to the correct location in "Advanced", but clearly iTunes is not actually seeing it.

After yesterday's "update", iTunes can no longer find and play my music library.  It points to the correct location in "Advanced", but clearly iTunes is not actually seeing it.  What gives?  And why does Apple force these constant updates that just screw up everything?  It was all working fine yesterday before I ran the update.

Does anyone know where I can get support for this issue?

  • I recently transferred my ITunes library to an external hard drive.  I made sure to copy all the data from the saved location.  After the transfer I noticed that a lot of albums are missing the first song and some recently purchased albums are missing.

I recently transferred my ITunes library to an external hard drive.  I made sure to copy all the data from the saved location.  After the transfer I noticed that a lot of albums are missing the first song and some recently purchased albums are missing.  Is there any way to recover the data?  Thanks for any help.

I may have found an answer here:
    http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/articles/comments/moving-your-itunes-library-to -a-new-hard-drive
They only thing I can assume is that my external hard drive was slow to start and iTunes defaulted to its old directory (see the last paragraph at the link above). However, once my external was recognized shouldn't everything have fixed itself?

  • Can anyone tell me how to find and restore previously purchased OS updates to my iMac?

Can anyone tell me how to find and restore previously purchased OS updates to my iMac?

Please go to the Apple (upper left corner) and click on About this Mac. In the resulting window, click on the numbers underneath until they display the OS version.
Snow Leopard, Lion, and Mountain Lion are all OS X - they are 10.6, 10.7, and 10.8 respectively. After you get the OS version, click until you get the "Build" number and post that as well.
If your Mac is from 2010, it most likely came with Snow Leopard. If you purchased Lion, then you should be able to see it under your Purchases in the App Store (not iTunes). But, first, we need to figure out what was installed on your machine after the hard drive replacement.
Not sure about iPhoto at this point - may have to do with whaever OS version is installed. Check in Applications folder in column view and post back which version of iPhoto you have installed.

  • How do I get my purchased music back after turning off iTunes Match without having to go back through iTunes and individually download each album?

I absolutely hate iTunes Match. It is difficult to work with when it comes to music not purchased through iTunes. So I want to turn it off. How do I do and still have my purchased music through iTunes without having to go through each album/song that I've ever purchased and redownload? That would take FOREVER.

If iTunes Match is turned off, go to preferences > store>Tick box show iCloud purchases. Once done all purchased music will appear. Go to song list view, select all tracks, ctrl+click and select download from pop up.
Alternatively, go into iTunes Store > Quicklinks purchased and select not on this computer. Select download all.

  • My computer will play my purchased album, but my CD player won't. Help

When I burned my purchased albums to CD, they will not play on my CD player. If inserted in the computer (Windows), they play fine. How do I get to make a CD that will play on my Bose?

    Hello billk922,
Thanks for the question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
Lets double check the burn settings you used when creating your CD. First, make sure the Disc Format is set to Audio CD:

  • How do I find and play a audiobook sample on my iPad

HElp I cannot find or play a sample I downloaded of an audiobook.

Look in the Music App. See if you have a "More" tab at the bottom. If you have that tab, tap on it and look for the sample in there.

  • Can't download purchased album from Itunes Store is any one else having this problem?

Can't seem to download a purchased album from the itunes store is anyone else having the same problem? It has deductedt the amount from my account however!

I ordered mine the very same day the iPT was available in Sweden. As we are a non-iPhone country I looked with envy on my friend's jailbroken phones and especially the Mail and Calendar applications. The iPod was cool, but... - just anothr iPod with smaller memory than my old one.
After the release of the Jan software I felt ripped-off for a couple of minutes and then bought the upgrade. Since then I have been soooo happy. The software architecture in the iPT/iPhone that allows Apple to 1) add great apps later on and 2) generate a SDK for 3rd parties is amazing.
Comparison: my old Nokia N70 phone cost about $250 more than the iPT (not including the 12 month lock-up to the provider) and has so far been in for upgrades (at Nokia and later on downloads via Internet) five times. In no upgrade was any additional functionality added, just bugs corrected and bugs added.
However, the path Apple is taking on this is very narrow. If they are to charge $20 to get SDK functionality to the iPT I will probably eBay the iPT and go for a jailbroken iPhone. I accept the $20 on occasions - it should not be a subscription fee. The approach of distributing 1.1.3 without the apps is a stroke of genius IMHO, but please - don't push it too far...
    Best wishes,
    /msa

  • Download purchased album to another authorized computer?

Hey I was wondering if I could download an album I purchased on one computer to another itunes store authorized computer. I don't want to do this with an ipod or anything. I was wondering if I could just do it through the iTunes store itself. Meaning, I just log on with the other computer and somehow go through the iTunes store to download that album again on the second computer.
I downloaded an album to my desktop. I want it on my laptop but these two computers are in different locations (one is at my studio, the other is at my house) so it's not always just a quick simple thing to transfer music. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Thanks.

+it's not always just a quick simple thing to transfer music.+
Yes it is. Copy the song files to a flash drive. When you get to the other location, copy them from the flash drive to the other PC, and then add them to the iTunes library there.

  • HT1491 Can't download purchased album/songs

I downloaded the entire album of Dave Matthews Band Live at Fenway Park about 4-5 years ago on my ipod touch. i recently upgraded my wireless phone to an iphone and when i use my apple ID to download purchased content, only a few of the songs on this album are available for download. the rest of the songs have to be purchased. i've already purchased them though i dont want to pay again. somewhat intriguing: the name of the album on itunes has changed from aforesaid (Fenway Park) to DMB Live Trax, Vol. 6 between then and now. memory costs money so i never backed songs up because i can download previously purchased content. HELP!!

  • I have an iphone 4s and ive downloaded an album from itunes, why am i unable to use one of the songs as a ringtone, ive been told i have to download a "ringtone" but i already have the album

can anyone tell me why if i have downloaded an album via itunes i am unable to use of the songs as a ringtone ? i have the iphone 4s

Songs and ringtones are different types of music files. The file extension of Songs is  mp4 and that of ringtones is  mp4r.  They are not interchangeable.  You need to download the ringtone you want or convert the file with a ringtone creator app of which they are many for free in the App Store.

  • Is anyone having issues sending and receiving downloads with messages?

I downloaded messages. But I'm having troubles sending and receiving downloads from others.
My friend has messages as well and we can send small files, like mp3. But when I tried to send him a movie that's 500mb it says that the file is too big.
When I get incoming files to download (doesn't matter if the file is small or large), I click it and my aim automatically logs me off and then back on. So I can't even accept incoming downloads. Anyone have any fixes?

    Hi,
I have one other thread where the person says there Login to AIM gets booted off when they try to accept Files in Messages beta.
Personally I have one Jabber Buddy who I cannot get Files from but they can send me AIM File Transfers.
I need to test with other Jabber Buddies to check this further myself.  However I am not booted Off line.
I have sent Picture files in line and as free standing File transfers over AIM before, the largest probably being about 50Mb at a max.
I certainly have not sent a movie that big (I have sent smaller ones)
I have not come across a Limit before.
What do you see if you have the File Transfer window Open as well ?
This tends to show the sideways barbershop pole and a second downward arrow to start the download from there.
Mine fails when I click the arrow in the File Transfer window and until then it says Waiting.
The other thread has also tried Auto Accept with no luck.
At present I have not answers to this.
We have not tried Zipped files in the other thread.
