Issue for not opening blackberry world

Hii I have a blackberry torch 9800 so when I am connected to wifi I am not be able to use appworld, whatsapp and so... But I able to browse via internet and sometimes it is opening and sometimes may not so please answer my question. Now. What to do???

Does BlackBerry World, WhatsApp, etc., work when you are NOT connected to WiFi? Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan enabled on your account with your carrier or mobile provider? You must, in order to get the RIM push email functions you are looking for, as well as additional BlackBerry data services such as the internet browser, Facebook for BlackBerry, BlackBerry Messenger, and much more.
So, call your carrier and inquire about having the BlackBerry Data Plan added to your account.
Good luck.

  • Cannot open BlackBerry World

I have a weird problem with the App World. I can't open it, only a black screen appears but nothing happens. I have already tried to reboot the phone. It didn't help. I took out the battery and started again, no change either. I found some old error post on various forums, and there seemed to be the resolution to open the Music app and on the three dots on the bottom click on Blackberry World but I didn't have the option to click on Blackberry World. I opened a browser window and entered :appworld://parentalcontrols  but again I was only brought to the black screen of the App World and nothing worked. I tried to click on an app and click on search for new updates, only got the black screen. I checked if I have the newest Blackberry Software and I do. It's been like this for weeks and a couple of apps are no longer working properly because I need to update them but I can't without access to the App World. No idea what else I can do! Please help!!!

    Hey icejazz,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    Thanks for the question.
What BlackBerry smartphone are you currently using?  When was the last time you could access Payment Options?  Have you tried re-installing BlackBerry World by going to www.blackberry.com/appworld/download
I look forward to your reply.
    Cheers.

  • HELP, I can not open App World.

    Hello.

When I click to open it, it says "You haven't got sufficient wireless coverage or your wireless network connection is disabled." Why? I use my BB with Wi-Fi.Is this the problem?  How can I solve the problem? Please, help me.

    Try this:
    1. Close all apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.
    2. Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.

  • Backup issue for Notes

    Hi All,
I took my phone to repair so the technician erased everything on it and when I plugged it back onto my Itunes it showed that the latest backup had not been done correctly (because a lack of space on my PC laptop). As I did some other backups in the past do you know if there is a way to find it on my computer ? I have tried going on "preferences" and then "device" but it shows only the latest backup which has almost no data in it.
The only thing I really need are my notes as I just put very important information in there... And of course I do not have any icloud or other device back up...
Thanks in advance for your help.

Right, the rule is that the primary tunnel is never seen down, just encapsulated in the backup tunnel by adding one level of tag(thanks to rsvp), so no need of ldp running through this backup tunnel, as your primary tunnel is still alive, and taking care of your LDP lsp.
In the case of auto tunnel, as the primary tunnel is a one hop tunnel only you don't have any rsvp label stacked, as it is poped because of implicit-null behavior. However, you will notice the label added by rsvp when encapsulating the primary tunnel in the backup tunnel, so you will have the following labels from bottom to top of the stack when primary path broken : vpn label, ldp label(obtained over the rsvp tunnel),rsvp label(backup tunnel)
Also make sure Auto-tunnel is right for you as there are caveats, not very NSF friendly, and no control on your tunnel numbering, as a tunnel could have his name changed on a reboot for example. So not very cool for troubleshooting and monitoring.

What else might cause this behavior, and how can I resolve it?
Outdated permissions on the files from your old computer. Right-click, Properties --> Security --> Advanced, disable Inherit settings from parent folders, chose to copy. After that, delete outdated security keys and assign current ones. You may even need to go so fart as to Take Ownership of some files to correctly restore the new system's default security settings.

  • Blackberry World will not open

    Hi
I just got a Q10 and I have my Blackberry ID set up and working, all emails confirmations done etc but when I go to open Blackberry World it opens for a second, minimises the screen and then just stays blank. The same thing also happens if I go onto the web and try to access it from there or try to download an App via the internet.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

Try this, in your BlackBerryID screen...
    Tap Edit.
Tap to uncheck or check the "I do not want to receive..." and that will activate the SUBMIT button.
    Tap Submit
You will be asked to enter your password. Do that.
Once that updates, go back to App World and see if it works.
If it still does not, you need to call Vodafone for technical assistance. You may need to ask them to escalate the issue up to BlackBerry for assistance.

Make sure you're connected to BlackBerry data services...
First, Reboot: On the side edge volume keys, press and hold down both of the Up and Down volume keys for about 20 seconds, ignoring the initial screenshot message... the screen will go black and reboot.

  • App world will not open

I have rebooted phone, uninstalled and reinstalled app world, but it refuses to open.  Click on it, use menu option, nothing.  I have notice that 2 of my apps have newer ver's on app world, the email notice will not open app world like it used to!  Any ideas?

OK, got it.  Uninstalling and reinstalling from the phone didn't do it.  Connecting to the computer and uninstalling and reinstalling did it.  I love my Blackberry but RIM really needs to get their act together.  It takes around 8 minutes for my phone to reboot, and I have to do that far more often than I should.  I ev en have quick pull reboot the phone every night, and I STILL have to pull the battery at times!  Then I am without a phone, calander, etc for 8 minutes.  After years of being a loyal BB user, this is wwearing thin especially when Droids and i Phones do not seem to have this issue, and have more apps available.

Have you tried a reboot on the device, the BlackBerry World again?
Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot.

  • Blackberry world connection error

    Good afternoon
I am trying to access blackberry world but get the error 'an error has occurred and blackberry world must close. Try waiting a few minutes and then re-open Blackberry world'.
I have seen several recommendations to turn off wifi but I am not using wifi. This has been going on for about a day, it used to work.
I have tried downloading via my PC but I get the same error
    I am using a Q10, software release 10.2.1.2102.
    Please help, Thanks

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive
    2) Reboot
Pre-BB10 Devices ONLY. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
BB10 Devices. Hold the top button down until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the device to be fully shut down (e.g., nothing at all displayed on the screen, no LED lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red LED is lit. Wait through the full boot-up process. IF this fails, you can attempt the battery-pull method above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.
    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry World in Iran

    Hello,
Will BlackBerry open BlackBerry World (like Apple and Google) in Iran ?
    http://www.apple.com/legal/more-resources/gtc.html
    OFAC IRANIAN GENERAL LICENSE D
On May 30, 2013, OFAC issued Iranian General License D, authorizing the exportation or reexportation, directly or indirectly, from the United States or by U.S. persons, wherever located, to persons in Iran of "certain services, software, and hardware incident to personal communications". General License D enumerates certain categories allowed to be exported to Iran. Some Apple goods and Apple software fall into these categories. For scope and further details, see General License D and the Annex to General License D, available from OFAC's Iran Sanctions Resource Center at http://www.treasury.gov/resource-center/sanctions/Programs/pages/iran.aspx.

  • BlackBerry World disobeys device language settings

My copy of BlackBerry World plays smartass and displays Indonesian while I explicitly specify English as my language in device settings. Even worse is the fact that it's incomplete: there are still English phrases left in BlackBerry World here and there.
Is there a way to force BlackBerry World to not try to display a language it thinks I need and have it display the language I want instead?

    Hello Raestloz,
Thank you for your question regarding the language settings in BlackBerry World.
To correct this issue complete the steps outlined below:
    Close BlackBerry World
    Open Settings on the BlackBerry
    select language and Input
Change the display language to English UK
    launch BlackBerry World
Confirm that BlackBerry World now displays in English
    Open Settings on the BlackBerry
    select language and Input
Change the Display language back to English
    Open BlackBerry World
Confirm that BlackBerry World is still listed as being in English
Let us know if this helps.

Given that thousands (millions?) of others don't have this issue, I would say it is not the upgrade version that is the cause of your issue.

If not, what is your OS level please?
Article ID: KB23393 How to check the model number and version of the operating system on a BlackBerry smartphone
Please note carefully...I want to know your OS version, not your Software Release version. If your OS is old, then you might want to look into updating it. You also might want to look at a complete device WIPE to see if that fixes things. Otherwise, contact your mobile service provider for formal support.
