Issue in AD connector upgrade from 9.1.1.7.0 to ICF based 11.1.1.5.0 in OIM11gR2 PS1

Hi,
I am facing issue while AD upgrade from 9.1.1.7.0 to 11.1.1.5.0(ICF) in OIM11gR2 PS1 environment in Linux environment.
In the last step where we need to select the connector objects to be upgraded, issue is for AD User ( Process form and definition) and AD Group (Process form).
The issue is related to the IT Resource Definition and it says, "Error: Could not resolve dependency. AD Server [ITResourceDef]".
In the preceding steps- for process forms field, process definition tasks and IT resource mapping, I am retaining/add everything ( all the existing tasks, fields, parameters).
Can anyone help me on this? or if anyone has peform the upgradation of AD from 9.1.1.7 to 11.1.1.5 (ICF), can they tell me the steps to do or anything about the above error?
Thanks
Piyush

That's tricky because their are usually huge changes between two connector versions if Oracle says that it cannot be upgraded.
In other words you would require study of these changes and try to simulate it by yourself in your Dev. Or identify the customizations in your past environment and then redo (as you suggested yourself). The second option is a bit difficult but clean.

  • AD Connector upgrade from v9.1.0 to v9.1.1.4

    Hi all,
I need to upgrade the Active Directory Connector from v9.1.0 to v9.1.1.4. I have read the connector upgrade documentation and the upgrade path is the following:
    1- v9.1.0 to v9.1.0.1 (upgrade)
    2- v9.1.0.1 to v9.1.1 (full installation)
    3- v9.1.1 to v9.1.1.1 (upgrade)
    4- v9.1.1.1 to v9.1.1.4 (upgrade)
The problem is that the step 2, upgrading from v9.1.0.1 to v.9.1.1 requires a full installation, does that mean that I'll loose all the customizations in the connector? I know that direct upgrade from release 9.1.0.1 to v9.1.1 is not supported, but is there any work around to upgrade the connector without performing the full install and loosing the customizations? Please, any help will be appreciated.
    Thank you in advance.

  • What issues are there in upgrading from LabVIEW 4.0 up to LabVIEW 6.1?

I am "inheriting" a LabVIEW 4.0 application that is running on an old (133MHz) Pentium PC with the Windows95 OS. I would like to upgrade the PC to a more recent CPU running Windows2000. I also want to upgrade LabVIEW to version 6.1. Are there any issues in performing the LabVIEW upgrade? Will I need to rework most of the application or is the transition from LabVIEW 4.0 to 6.1 fairly painless and transparent?
Any help is appreciated. I've never been through a LabVIEW upgrade before and am treading in uncharted water.
    Thanks.

Boy, it seems I can't stick my head above water without this topic coming up. I've had thr exact same upgrade question come up on two different contracts--in the past week!
In any case, the code itself should come across without major problems, unless you are using CINs. The only real trouble I'v had are with things like serial I/O as the drivers have changed dramatically over the years.
Now the code that you translate will be (by comparison) very inefficient thanks to the makor enhancements that have taken place over the last two major revisions.
For the most part, I would have to vote for "fairly painless".

  • PIX 515 issue after trying to upgrade from 601 to 622

    Hello,
I am having the following problem on my Cisco PIX 515:
    I had been running:
Cisco Secure PIX Firewall Version 6.0(1)
    PIX Device Manager Version 1.0(1)
Hardware:   PIX-515, 32 MB RAM, CPU Pentium 200 MHz
    Flash i28F640J5 @ 0x300, 16MB
    BIOS Flash AT29C257 @ 0xfffd8000, 32KB
I upgraded the PIX to pix622.bin.  That seemed to work, but the PIX did not boot after reload.
So I reverted it to pix601.bin.
That seemed to work, and my configuration file was still in place and all my services worked as before.
However, upon reload I get the following error:

You get this error using the console right?

Issue with error on  upgrade from 7 pro to 8.1 pro of error 0x8007000E-0x2000C.  I have tried the install several times and this error returns every time.

    Hi,
First, we need check the system requirements for Window 8.1:
    System requirements
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows-8/system-requirements
Or, you can firstly run upgrade assistant tool to help you determine if you are able to install Windows 8.1.

if all things have been done, we can collect the following logs, maybe we can find something about this failure:

  • Upgrading from 7.0.98.0 to 7.0.220.0

We are looking to upgrade our 5508 wireless controller from 7.0.98.0 to 7.0.220.0. Reason being, we have experienced a lot of access points disassociating from the controller as well as client authentication issues. Has anyone upgraded from 7.0.98.0 to 7.0.220.0 and experienced any issues during the upgrade or after the upgrade?

    https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3540673#3540673
This is the original thread discussing the predownload issue.  The code upgrade goes very smoothly... it's when you get to the AP's that the problems start.  If you do not have any maintenance window restrictions, then you have no problems ahead.
Please read the above thread, it will shed a lot of light on the subject.
Rule of thumb:  If you predownload the image to the AP's and "swap" the images, if the new image doesn't show as primary, you have a problem.  When you reload the wlc's and the AP's, the AP's will rejoin and "think" they have earlier code.  they will redownload, notice I say redownload the new code... even though it already exists in flash.  Then they will reboot again.  If you/your company has no problem with this method, you'll be fine.
    Thanks,
    Tony

  • Issue Updating Base Sales Order From A Delivery

As a Delivery doc is added that was created from a Sales Order, I would like to be able to update certain unclosed information in the base Sales Order document.  Two of the fields are user fields, which don't present an issue.  I can make the updates accordingly through the SDK.  The issue I'm having presents itself when I attempt to update the TransportationCode (ORDR.TranspCode) field in the base sales order, which is a field on the logistics tab.  I can make the update through the SBO interface version 2005 fine, but when I make the update through the SDK version 2005 use VB.NET 1.1 I get the following error:
[ORDR.DocRate] , 'Field cannot be updated (ODBC -1029)'.
It's strange because I'm not making any updates to the DocRate field.  This issue arose after an upgrade from 6.5 to 2005.  Worked fine in 6.5.  The DocRate (exchange rate) field is not used in documents entered in local currency as far as I know.
    Any ideas?

  • Inplace upgrade from 2012 to 2012 R2 fails when nearly complete

    Greetings,
I've tried several times to upgrade a Server 2012 Standard running Hyper-V to R2 several times now with no success.
The setup will start fine. There are no "compatibility" issues found or reported and the setup then proceeds as expected.
It gets all the way through the phases and past the installing features, reboots, does all the hardware devices install and completes that, then does another reboot and gives me a BSOD (sorry, windows could not start sad face)
It will then reboot again and just keep doing that until I catch the boot menu and select the option to roll back to previous Windows. It then goes through the revert process and gives me a functioning machine again.
It's very much like this thread:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/23d088d4-9ce0-4f12-a8c5-9bde3979e372/windows-server-2012-r2-upgrade-fails?forum=winserver8gen
I have checked and there are NO disk volumes at all without drive letters
I have tried setting all Hyper-V and other 3rd party app services to manual and disabled
I tried disabling VT support from the bios (this was an issue on a workstation upgrading from Win8 to Win8.1)
I've unplugged all external drives and the UPS connection (only mouse/keyboard attached)
This server is running a full GUI, and apart from the UPS and RAID disk controller there are no other apps or software installed.
I am doing the install from a copy of all the DVD ISO files placed on a directory on the C: and there is over 550GB free space
I first tried this several months ago and gave up. I just tried again today with a newer ISO of 2012R2 but still the same issue.

There is a minor BIOS update that I will probably apply to be sure, although the release notes only say it is for additional support for newer CPU's. All drivers are either updated with ones that are already R2 supported, or are devices that say to just
use the drivers that come OOB in 2012/R2. This is a "white box" that I've built myself, but it effectively uses the same "enterprise class" components and is fully 2012R2 compatible.
I was able to do a clean install of 2012R2 using a different drive that I connected up, so I know the system is capable of running R2, the issue seems to be somewhere in the upgrade process that messes it all up. I'd rather avoid having to do a fresh install
    at this time though.
Because the upgrade actually seems to get through all the steps of hardware detection etc I'm at a loss where the failure is. My first guess is that there is some "other" driver that the system has decided is more suitable for something (and is incompatible)
than the one I'm currently using.

MY QUE IS, WILL IT BE FIXED IF I UPGRADE FROM OSX 10.8.5 TO MAVERICKS? What other options do I have? What can be an approximate cost for fixing this problem?

Of course not. It's a hardware problem, so it can't be fixed by upgrading software. The only option you have got is to take the MacBook to an Apple Store or reseller.
That error indicates a problem with the hard drive. What you have to do is to make a backup of your files and take the MacBook to an Apple Store or reseller, so they can confirm that the problem is the hard drive and not the SATA connector, which could be worse.
If it's a hard drive issue, it's not expensive (about $100-200, depending on the hard drive). If it's a SATA connector issue, the whole logic board may have to be replaced.
Note that you can replace the hard drive yourself if you want, but the cost between doing it yourself and taking the MacBook to an Apple Store or reseller is similar

  • Issues when Upgrading from SRSS 4.1 to 5.2.1

    Hi There.
    Yesterday I upgraded a client's environment from SRSS 4.1 to 5.2.1.
    Environment:
Solaris 10 hosting Sun Ray Server, Kiosk Mode configured with Windows Connector pointing at Windows Server 2003 Terminal Server. Used utadm to remove the old firmware config and reconfigured with the new firmware config. All Thin Clients now have the new Oracle Branded Firmware.
After the Upgrade, the users can't seem to hold down the Backspace Key to erase text at a faster pace or use Page Down in an Excel Spreadsheet to get through their workbooks faster. When these buttons are used in their held down position the performance is really slow. Tapping these keys however works fine.
EG: Tapping backspace 20 times to erase 20 Characters is ok. Holding down the Backspace Key to do the same thing is very slow.
Anyone know of any issues or performance issues Post running this upgrade.
    Cheers
    - Joe.

have you looked at the following performance tuning?
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E25749_01/E25745/html/Tuning-Performance-Improving-Network-Performance.html
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E25749_01/E25745/html/Troubleshooting-Network-Switches.html
    Some other options to consider
-D Disables the video acceleration path for Windows 7 and
    Windows 2008 R2.
    -M off
Specify which accelerated media paths to use (supported
only with Windows XP and Windows 2003).
    -M off
Specify which accelerated media paths to use (supported
only with Windows XP and Windows 2003).
    -F off|x11|xvideo|all|keep
Specify which flash acceleration paths to use and
allows to set the flash state to it's initial state
    when session is disconnected.
So can't say that his is a bug. All known issues have been fixed by SRS 5.3. If you still have problems, please open a Service Request via My Oracle Support see

These links gives you an idea of what all changes are going to come into your new system. So unless you upgrade to SP07 i.e. the latest version and test it in DEV/Sandbox environment you should not plan to move ahead in Production. This is always recommended but there is very less chance that the already working solution will not work as expected after the upgrade.

We've looked through the main upgrade notes and they mention which usage types are supported, but they do not mention explicity what usage are not supported, and how to proceed with the upgrade if your system does have one of these non-supported usage types.
Considering our system does contain usage type MI, does this mean that we cannot upgrade our current PI system to 7.11?
    Please help!
    Thanks,

    Hello
Please see note #1247043 Release Restrictions for EHP 1 for SAP NetWeaver PI 7.1 - section "Upgrade: source system must be a dedicated PI system".
It is not possible to upgrade an existing system with the usage type MI. Even if you delete the usage type MI (if this is possible) the upgrade will not be possible.

  • 4.2.2 upgrade from 4.1 and images location issue

I've just upgraded from 4.1 to 4.2.2, and am having an issue with the referenced location of the images directory (/i/) resources. I am running apex listener on weblogic server, and have copied the new images into the i.war that I use. I have an unusual reverse proxy situation where my base URL includes a path, i.e., https://www.my.website.com/mysite/ is the URL that the proxy returns to the user, so my APEX addresses look like https://www.my.website.com/mysite/apex/f?101:1:::::, and my image directory references get put together like https://www.my.website.com/mysite/i/image.jpg.
However, with the upgrade, one of the things that popped up was all of the datepickers in my application were changed to classic datepickers, which worked and displayed fine. When I change them to the new datepicker, the small calendar image doesn't show next to the field (red x), and when I look at the properties of the image, it's URL is https://www.mywebsite.com/i/asfdcldr.gif (no "/mysite/" path offset). ALL of the other images directory references seem fine, but not this. Has 4.2.2 changed how it composed the #HOST# when it's generating these new controls (same result when I make a datepicker from scratch)? Why do all of my other images directory references work? The only other problem that I'm seeing is that my charts no longer work, either. I used to have to hardcode my URL into the XML of the charts for them to work, but I don't see the URL referenced in the code anymore. Not sure if that's related, but that has always been an issue with my reverse proxy situation (I don't control the proxy server).
Thanks in advance for any light anyone can shed on this,
    -warren

    Hi Warren,
+> The only other problem that I'm seeing is that my charts no longer work, either. I used to have to hardcode my URL into the XML of the charts for them to work, but I don't see the URL referenced in the code anymore. Not sure if that's related, but that has always been an issue with my reverse proxy situation (I don't control the proxy server).+
With APEX 4.2, we've changed how charts are initialized to be JavaScript only, and as part of the changes, we no longer expose the region source for charts. See *4.8 Updated AnyChart Flash Charts* in the APEX 4.2 Release Notes, here: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E37097_01/doc/doc.42/e35121/toc.htm#CACEJBCD. So it's no longer feasible to hardcode a reference to your URL in the region source for a chart. If you have a reverse proxy, the CGI environment variables REQUEST_PROTOCOL, HTTP_HOST, SERVER_PORT, and SCRIPT_NAME, have to be correctly set to the public facing web server and not to the internal forwarding connection. If you execute the following query in SQL Workshop on your APEX instance, do you see the settings for the public facing web server?
    select owa_util.get_cgi_env('REQUEST_PROTOCOL'), owa_util.get_cgi_env('HTTP_HOST'), owa_util.get_cgi_env('SERVER_PORT'), owa_util.get_cgi_env('SCRIPT_NAME') from dual;Regards,
