Hi
If you are wanting to know how to configure ESSO to be used to logon to SAP applications then there is a guide in the helpfile of the admin console. Simply do a search for SAP.
In short ESSO-LM comes with a SAP helper object which needs to be selected on install. To enable the ESSO SAP helper to interact with SAP, the SAP server and the SAPGUI client need to be configured. The details for this are in the helpfile. If you have multiple SAP systems launched from the SAPGUI then this is the best method because it means ESSO can distinguish between the different SAP systems through matching screens
If you have only one SAP system and you do not want to configure the SAP server then you could use send keys and not use the SAP helper object at all.
Hope this helps

  • Install BusinessObjects XI Integration for SAP

    Hello.
    I have some problem here.
I have installed "BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1"  on aix 5
using Tomcat 5.5 as web application (install from BO) .
Then I install "BusinessObjects XI 3.1 Integration Kit for SAP"
Before install integration kit I have install Java connector and set it's class path environment.
And also follow the manual  copy the librfccm library and the libsapjcorfc library to /bodev/bobje/enterprise120/aix_rs6000(bodev is the root directory of BO)
When I logon CMC as administrator . Then click Authentication , the SAP authentication isn't appear.
It just show ' Enterprise ' and ' LDAP '.
(But on the CMC logon screen at the authentication drop down list , it has SAP authentication.)
Does I miss something. Please give me some suggestion.
    Thank you.

  • Cross-enterprise integration of SAP GRC Access Control with PeopleSoft

    Friends,
Does anybody has/have/had the owner to implement Cross-enterprise integration of SAP GRC Access Controls 5.2 with PeopleSoft ?
If yes, what are the key points and approach one should keep in mind while going for this kind of cross-enterprise implementation.
Is there any reference material, blog, wiki or such informative resource regarding cross enterprise GRC implementation available on the web?
I tried to search, but could not get good results.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
    Best Regards,
    Amol Bharti

    Amol-
    From my experience:
CC 5.2 with Peoplesoft: as long as you have the RTA's installed in the Peoplesoft system and create the connectors in CC, you are good to go.
AE 5.2 with Peoplesoft: cannot provision to Peoplesoft, however you can connect with Peoplesoft HR for Password Self-Service.  You have the capability to provision to SAP HR.
    FF 5.2 with Peoplesoft: N/A
    RE 5.2 with Peoplesoft: N/A
I am not sure if there are any standalone docs out there for AC integration with Peoplesoft.  And the 5.2 manuals have sparse information on integration.  However, the AC 5.3 manuals have more detailed info on the integration piece with various other non-SAP systems.
Sorry, I couldn't share more info, as that is all I know for now...

  • Gathering Technical and Business Requirements for SAP PI

I need to some documents and tools, or interview guide & questionnaire to gather the stakeholders' technical and business requirements for SAP PI

    Thanks for the links,
I am quite new at SAP and currently trying to elaborate should i use SAP PI or not based on my project stakeholder's requirements.
And my biggest problem right now is how to capture technology and business requirements and match them with SAP PI
I plan to use this format while requirements gathering about integration platform:
    1- Draft Requirements
Q- What is the names and status of sending and receiving application and how they will be used
    2- Detailed Requirements
Q- Connectivity, Administrative and Business related questins
3- Administrative and project management information
Q- Which applications are involved, who is the original supplier? Who is technical contact at the supplier
    4- Business requirements
Q- Questions about the information flow which will support some business processes
    5- Connectivity to applications
Q- Questions about connectivity mechanism, file formats (flat file or XML or something else), data access methods and so on
What do you think about the general concept?

  • Brief discussion on SAP XI and its' Integration with SAP MDM.

    Hi,
I have never worked on SAP XI.
I am discussing it on brief, please give your valuable replies.
SAP XI consists of System Landascape Directory(SLD).
SLD Consists of Business System and Techinical System.
Technical System contains all information about the software
component. The Business System consists of Inbound and Outbound Business
System which are used as logical names for data transfer.
There is communication Channel for Receiver and Sender Business System and n agreement
is signed between Sender and Receiver.
Outbound Interface defined for Business System Outbound and Techical System associated
    with the Business System,
Inbound Interface defined for Business System Inbound and Techical System associated
    with the Business System.
In SAP NetWeaver XI Integration Directory, we have defined the Integration Scenarios,
Actions, Interface Objects, Mapping Objects, Adapters Objects.
Mapping Object defines the Structure and Value Mapping.
Adapter Objects defines the Adapter program which implements RFC Adapter, FTP Adapter logic.
FTP Adapter is used for XI-MDM Communication.
RFC Adapter is used for XI-ECC Communication.
Integration Repository: Both Outbound and Inbound Interfaces are Mapped with Value mapping and
    Structure Mapping inside Integration Repository.
The File Adapter takes the File from the Outbound port of MDM System
and sends it as IDOC to Receiver Business System.
Value Mapping must be done between Sender and Receiver interfaces.
Value Mapping is done by XSLT or Java based program.
SAP NetWeaver XI Integration Server at runtime:
Message Split, Interface Determination, Receiver Identifaction, Mapping, Techincal Routing
and Call Adapter Proccess are done.
In SAP XI 3.0 and MDM 5.5:
Step 1: Create busines system as service.
Step 2: Create communication channel for each business service. If the system can communicate
through different channels, then create all possible channel types if necessary.
Step 3: Create receiver agreement between the systems.
    Step 4: Interface determination:
    - Here you see for the first time the software component mentioned;
there are some special requirements regarding this software component in relation to the customizing ID mapping.
    - To modify this software component, the customer needs to copy the SAP standard delivered software component
into its own namespace. The customer is able to modify to create archives
    for the customized ID mapping.
    Receiver determination.
Configure an FTP Server on the MDS.
Create a send folder for outbound messages using outbound port(s) for
    remote systems(s).
Create receive folder inbound messages using inbound port(s) for remote systems.
This ia all about concept of SAP XI Infractsture and its' Integration with SAP MDM 5.5.
    Regards
    Kaushik Banerjee

    Hi Kaushik,
You must be aware of File types that MDM Import Manager can Import i.e. we have XML, Excel etc. Now there are two transactions to extract data from R3
    1. MDMGX -
             - For lookup table extraction
             - Output in XML format which MDM can import without using XI.
              - FTP can be configured to put the file in the desired folder which will be then picked by Import Server.
    2. MDM_CLNT_EXTR -
              - For Main table records.
              - Output is in Idoc format which MDM doesn't understand hence we need XI in between which converts Idoc file received from R3 into XML which can then be imported using Import Manager or Import Server. For this we need to implement XI Scenario that consists of Source System, Receiver System, Type of Data etc.
    Just a basic understanding...

  • "Java and BAPI Technology for SAP" by by Ken Kroes - Is this book useful?

    Howdy partners,
I've got a 'book' called "Java and BAPI Technology for SAP" by by Ken Kroes, Anil Thakur, Gareth M. deBruyn, Robert Lyfareff.
Now, does anyone know if the info in this book is still relevant to the modern SAP world? I mean its still talking about ITS and stuff like that?
    Any input will be appreciated.

With the blue cover? I have one with the something similar title, but it's quite out of date. There was lot of improvement on the Java side.
So I would prefer something newer from SAP-PRESS. Check the SAP-PRESS site.
BTW I don't consider ITS as an old technology...it was just integrated recently into WAS 640 to make it more powerful. This is the only available technology, which converts classic Dynpro to Webpage dynamically.

  • BW toolbar add for BOBJ Integration for SAP..silent add

I have searched and searched but cannot find the command-line syntax for adding/enabling the BW toolbar in the BOBJ Integration for SAP installation.  I need to do this to a few remote PC's.  I know how to do this from the GUI..but would like to do it from a command line.  Can someone please help?
    Thank you!!
BusinessObjects XI Integration for SAP Solutions 12.1.0.890 SP2 Patch 2.9

Due to the patch level you have the easiest way is to first uninstall all BO components and then install them again.
You can use the -w command line parameter of setup.exe in order to record an installation script
eg. setup.exe -w myInstallScript.ini) in which you choose the BW toolbar option
You can use then the recorded script to do the silent installation on the workstation you want
    eg. setup.exe -r myInstallScript.ini.
Do not forget to copy the recorded script.
The -w and -r flags work for the BI XI 3.1 and CR 2008 installers (setup.exe) incl. Service Packs and Fix Packs.

  • Double stack BI and Enterprise portal for SSO

I am in the process of configuring a double stack BI and SAP Enterprise Portal. Both systems are residing on different domains. We want to utilize the standalone SAP Enterprise Portal for our BEx etc. For that I have exchanged certificates between the ABAP and the SAP Enterprise Portal systems and with the help of Support desk tool I have overcome the certificate issues. The RFC connection from ABAP and SAP Enterprise Portal works fine. The Support desk tool is complaining now about the prefix of these two servers. Also when I check the connection testing between these two systems all the messages are correct except for WEBAS connection it complains about the ping service which is already active on ABAP side. For Connectors it complains about SSO which is not detected/complained by the Support desk tool (0.426). I need your advice:
    1. Either uninstall the JAVA instance of BI or
    2. Make a Federated Portal network by making the BI JAVA as PRODUCER and the SAP standalone as CONSUMER.
The Support package levels are the same as EHP1 SP 7 of both the double stack BI and the standalone Enterprise Portal systems. The source of users are both local to the systems.

  • PP and PM integration for PRT equipment

    Hi,
i got integration issue when implementing PP and PM.
i used PRT equipment with counter, PP confimation will update the counter.
If it reach some value it is overhaul and maintenance order created.
1, if it is overhaul, can i automatically set the PRT so it is not available (status)
    2. can PP people know this and the they reschedule the PP order and it schedule automatically considering the maintenance order for the PRT equipment they use.
after PRT equipment i will user work center as equipment too and then we will have botj issue as above
is it really possible for pp and pm integration like this.
    please kindly help.
    best regards,
    Freddy Ha

    hi
In the normal process once your production order is confirmed ,your maintenance order from plan will be triggered ,but your PRT status is in release only which will not be updated as LOCK automatically .it can be locked manually in the Master data.
check with abaper whether it is possible to update the status using measurement document ,for say once it reaches 2000 pc
Once the status is locked it cannot be used for maintenance or production order
for Workcenter as equipment then you can process with System condition as Not in operation which will show the maintenance order while checking the production order planning table

  • 3945 Router Issue between WAAS Module and IOS Firewall

I have a new 3945 router with a SM-SRE-900 module for WAAS. The 3945 also has IP inspection configured. When IP inspection and WCCP redirection running at the same time, user connections to data center were all lost. If just IP inspection or WCC Rredirection but not both, user connections were good.
I'm feeling the problem is IP inspection not WAAS aware. I tried "ip inpsect waas enable", but the command was not available. The 3945 router, SM-SRE module, and the IOS code, are all newest versions. So I was wondering if anyone has seen the similar issues and had experience of enabling WAAS through IP inspection on those new products.
    Here is the configuration info:
    3945 G2 ISR: IOS 15.1(1)T1;
    SM-SRE-900: WAAS 4.2.3 build7;
3945 LAN interface: ip inspection in and ip wccp 61 redirect in
3945 WAN interface: ip wccp 62 redirect in
3945 SM 1/0 interface: internal connection to SM-SRE module
Between 3945 and SM-SRE module: WCCP GRE redirection and IP Forwarding return.
If you are aware of any 15.1(1)T1 bugs that may be related, please let me know too.
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi,
This is in general for IOS / ISR. On CCO we have a very good document for ZBFW and WAAS intigration, see below
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/sec_data_plane/configuration/guide/sec_zone_polcy_firew_ps10592_TSD_Products_Configuration_Guide_Chapter.html#wp1118498
If you still need to run CBAC, then recommended solution in my first post should work for you.
If the router is in the middle of TCP optamization path, then depending upon optamization product you need to configure the firewall feature like anyother firewall. for Cisco WAAS we have "ip inspect WAAS enable".
Hope this has answer your question. Thanks.
