Issue in creating Database Connection to HFM Applicaion through workspace

Hi,
This is a fresh installation. We are trying to create a new database connection in workspace for HFM Application.
When i click on the Application selection icon, it gives me the below error message,
*"Error connecting to database connection nasbyphyp03: Error: Error getting CSS support information for driver* HsvAdmDriver*".*
I tried re-installing the HsvAdmDriver, but still the problem persists. (nasbyphyp03 is the server name)
But, i am able to access HFM Application from workspace and smartview.
Please advice.
Thanks,
Siva

Can anyone suggest me the solution ???
We are struck with this and unable to process any Reports
Thanks,
Siva

  • TP4: Can't create database connection

I have just installed JDeveloper TP4 and run it for the first time. When I try to create database connection, nothing happens. Specifically, I right click on "IDE Connections" and select "New Connection" - and nothing happens; no messages, no dialogs, nothing. Is there something I have to have installed before this will work? I have Sun's Java 6 installed - I noticed that JDeveloper warns about this. Would it cause this problem?

    Hi,
can you try with JDK 5 to exlude and issue with JDK 6. It works for me with JDK 5 so, there might be an issue with you Java runtime

  • Create database connection

I try to create database connection in jdeveloper.
    I have error message;
Listener refused the connection with the following error:
ORA-12505, TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor
The Connection descriptor used by the client was:
    10.41.119.12:1620:TEST
I did connect with database before. but I try to create connection with database today.
I cannot. what problem is it?
what am i goint to do?

    Hi,
Maybe your connecting directly after the listener starts, wait a while then try to connect again, if this problem still occurs, check the SID of your Connection settings, it maybe incorrect.

there can be many causes to this error....
    1) you should check first of all that the redirection from Apache port 19000 to folder HFM within the IIS is actually working. try hitting http://apacheserver:19000/hfm and make sure you get "hfm" response back.
    2) check that ASP is turned on in the IIS ("file / directory not found" suggests that it isnt)
    3) check what URL you used when you created the application or when you registered it with shared services as the "Financial Management Web Server URL for Security". It should normally be http://apacheservername:19000/hfm. If you did this wrong then re-register it with shared services via Navigate->Administer->Classic Application Administration->Consolidation Administration.
    4) check that the application was registered with Shared Services in the first place.
    5) make sure that on the HFM web server, the HFM application server/cluster is properly registered
    6) stop and restart all services and test again...
    7) try not to use "localhost" but proper fully qualified domain names "servername.mydomain.com" wherever possible. you will have less problems. the only place where you should use a non qualified name is in Relational Content links... see the HFM readme.

When ever we opened HFM Application through workspace, getting struck and through client is going good. Any guess on this.. please share.
We have tried to Reset IIS, Recycle Services & Reboot Servers -- After this some time will works good , Then again isue repeats.
    Appriciate your help!
    Regards,

Yeah the issue seem to be with IIS,
Try launching the application through the url
http://hfmwebserver/hfm/logon/processlogon.asp?workspace=false&username=admin&password=password  replacing hfmwebserver with web server you have in your env and username and password respectively to see if there is some improper registration of Web Server with HFM.
Also check IIS worker process settings.
    Thanks

  • Try to connect oracle in portal 4.0 and cannot create database connection for the realm

    hello,
i have try to use the method in configuring Weblogic Portal for Oracle Database.
I have made all with no problems
but when i stop and i start the weblogic portal i have this error
    java.lang.IllegalAccessError: Exception[com.bea.p13n.security.realm.RDBMSException
: An error occured creating a database connection for the realm.]
Any one have a solution? Thx!

    Jean-Philippe,
This usually is due to a DB configuration issue. Check your RDBMS realm
username, password and driver properties. Check your database is running and
    have enough Connection free.

  • Unable to create Database Connection in Workspace to Essbase for FR

    Hello,
We have 9.3.1 installed, with Workspace and Shared Service on "Server A" and Essbase/Planning on "Server B" (Only Essbase is being turned on at this time)
We are trying to setup a database connection from the Workspace to connect to Essbase for Financial Reporting to use. However, we got error message as follows:
Error connecting to database connection SERVER B: D:\Hyperion\common\ADM\9.3.1\Essbase\9.3.1\bin\HssJNIDriver931.dll: Can't find dependent libraries
When I opened the location where the file is located, here is the list of file that it contains:

    icuin22.dll
    icuuc22.dll
    xerces-c_2_7.dll
    Thanks in advance,

I've seen this issue several times.
Run FR independently and see if you are still able to connect.
First make sure essbase is running. Try sample connection using maxl.
    Check if ports are open.

  • Create database connection for oracle ver.8.1.7.4 unsucessful

I trying create a database connection with jdeveloper 11g to db oracle ver.8.1.7.4, but the connection return error "Test failed: Unsupported Oracle database version". I selected connection type: "Oracle (JDBC)" and initially selected driver: "thin", after exchange to driver: "oci8", but return error: "Test failed: no ocijdbc11 in java.library.path". Created on menu > Tools > Preferences > JDBC driver options a new driver: "some.jdbc.Driver" pointing to Driver class: "some.jdbc.Driver", library: "oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver", class path: "c:\...\oracle\jdbc\lib\ojdbc14.jar".
Tried to create with this driver with the option "Generic JDBC" pointing to this driver created and using jdbc url: "jdbc:oracle:thin:@//255.255.255.255:1521/ServerId", but return error: "Test failed: Driver class not found. Verify the Driver location"
Now, i don´t know to do!!!

    John,
i have the data corporate in this DB in this version. I have already tested with the oracle JDBC driver: "ojdbc14.jar" and works in the "Eclipse" IDE, but i want to use with jdev, understand? Can i test only with this jdbc driver if i set "generic JDBC"?, because if i set "oracle JDBC" this driver is pointing to oracle 11g driver. Is there a "step-by-step" to set this correct procedure? I cannot set "oracle JDBC" of list because the driver class is disabled.

  • How to create database connection using DB2Driver in JDeveloper 10.1.2.1.0?

I am trying to create a JDeveloper/Data Connection using com.oracle.ias.jdbc.db2.DB2Driver. The driver is registered from a User Libraries: DataDirect JDBC. I have the following class path for the library:
    E:\DataDirect\3.4\lib\YMdb2.jar;E:\DataDirect\3.4\lib\YMbase.jar;E:\DataDirect\3.4\lib\YMutil.jar
I have no trouble configuring the connection but when I test it and I got ‘No suitable driver Vendor code 0’. What’s wrong? I have successfully created several database connections using Oracle thin driver. This is first time I am using a third party driver. Has any one successfully create a database connection using the com.oracle.ias.jdbc.db2.DB2Driver?

    Hi
Since the error points to the unavailability of the driver class, can you double check your library claspath entries again.
I just tried a DB2 connection using the following properties and the connection went through fine:
    Driver class name: com.oracle.ias.jdbc.db2.DB2Driver
    URL: jdbc:merant:db2://<host_name>:50000;DatabaseName=SAMPLE
