Issue in creating OVD11g Plugin

Hi,
After a long long investigation I am posting this issue, though it may sound to be a simple problem but I couldn't resolve it
I had created an OVD11g plug-in for our business requirement, The plug-in is a jar file having the following folder structure:
META-INF
|-> MANIFEST.MF
MyPlugin.class
When I create a jar using eclipse and import it in OVD11g by copying it at location "$INSANCE_HOME/OVD/ovd1/plugins/lib" as expected its type is displayed as plugin under ODSM->Advanced->Libraries.
If I happen to create a jar using "jar -cvf ..... " / winzip tools, its type is displayed as "library" instead of "plugin".
I ensured that the contents of MANIFEST.MF has not changed when I manually create the jar file.
Any help on what is going wrong while manually creating the jar or how OVD distinguishes between a plugin and a library will be useful.

Enkitec Navbar - possible bug: conditional list entries.

I think I have found a bug in the Enkitec Navbar (latest version 1.2.0 on Apex 4.2)
If the "first child" item of a level 1 menu has a condition or authorization that causes the item to not render - then the rest
of the level 2 items in the submenu do not show, and the little "drop-down" (V) icon does not show on the level 1 item.
That "first child" must also have child entries (with the same condition/authorization) for the bug to appear.
E.g. If the Menu is defined as:-
Menu V
     Workspace A V
          Option 1
     Workspace B
          Option 2
     Workspace C
And "Workspace A" and "Option 1" have condition/authorization that causes it not to show, then the menu is not rendered correctly - only the top level Menu is showing, with no sub-items.

The 3 items for Workspace A-C correspond to conditions and authorization schemes that should cause the corresponding menu items to hide/show.
Submitting the page will show/hide the relevant menus.
These work correctly for Workspaces B and C.
However, it does not work when Workspace A is set to "No".
If you view the source of the page - you will notice that Workspace B and C are actually in the list - but not showing.
I think it is only the rendering of the HTML for the "Menu" that is wrong - it does not have the drop-down V icon showing.

Trouble with Enkitec Navbar [Plug-in] tabs on the iPad

Hi,
I am using the Enkitec Navbar [Plug-in] tabs, and they work great until I test them on the iPad.
They show up as a vertical list.
did anyone run into this?

I am using theme 25 Blue Responsive.
I started working but then is now not again.
I just now got the idea to go on the iPad to "Settings" -> "Safari" -> "Clear Cookies and Data"
It works great again.
Evidently, when I made changes to the query of the chart it was trying to use cached information to still run it.

[bug?] playback issues with QT browser plugin, any workarounds?

I've noticed a playback issue with media files using the quicktime plugin (currently v7.1.3) with Firefox 1.5.0.x and now Firefox 2.0 on Windows XP (SP2):
Description:
When I open a media file in a separate tab or window, audio playback cuts out when I switch focus away from the tab or window (i.e. when it runs in the background). When I put the tab/window in the foreground again, playing resumes.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open an mp3 file with quicktime plugin in a new tab
2. Switch focus to some other tab or firefox window
Expected Results:
Audio playback should continue in the background.
Actual Results:
Audio playback cuts out and resumes once you click on the tab containing the plugin or if you hover over it with the cursor. The cutting and resuming out doesn't happen right away but after a short delay, suggesting that it might have something to do with thread prioritization.
The file is completely buffered by quicktime, this is not about connection speed or bandwidth issues.
Opening the link to the same file with right-click->Open Link in External Application works well.

I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out not to be an issue with Gecko but with QuickTime.
Can other users confirm this on XP? Is this a known QuickTime bug? Are there fixes or workarounds?

Yeah I had that thought as well but no joy. It works for the player but it doesn't solve my plugin problem. It really seems to be something about prioritizing, the way the audio cuts in and out - notice how it takes a few fractions of a second before a process loses its CPU cycles when you click away from it? You can observe this with System Monitor on the Mac or Linux or process explorer on XP. That's how the audio is cutting out and back in. I still think it's probably a bug/'feature' either with Gecko, the Firefox browser engine, or with the QT plugin..

Enkitec Navbar not working with hover for me in 4.2.1 or 4.2.3

Hi Dan or anyone that has had the same problem,
I have installed the plugin in both APEX 4.2.1 or 4.2.3
and it works great with clicking but does not have the hover
working as in the documentation and how it works so nice on the
Enkitec website.
Am I installing it wrong?

Thanks! Those tabs are actually a List (yeah an APEX List).
In just about all my projects I swap out the standard tabs for a list. They can look identically or change the look and feel. Lists however have so many benefits and added flexibility.

CS3 mediacore issue. (Editing modes/plugins)

Hi, I've been having an unresolved issue the past couple days. I can't seem to figure out what's wrong. I looked up my problem on different boards but I haven't found one similar to mine.
So I own a macbook pro, running on a Mac OS X version 10.6.3, and I have Adobe After Effects CS3. So far, my main issue is with the "mediacore" plugins at the start-up. Sometimes it crashes and sometimes it says "failed to initialize mediacore." I tried checking this problem out by looking inside what's in the Mediacore folder. So I viewed my plug-ins folder and then went inside the Mediacore. In the folder, I found a subfolder called "Editing Modes" and it contains an "Adobe Editing Modes.xml" and under the subfolder, is a list of the next following:
- CompilerQuickTime.bundle
- ImporterAiff.bundle
- ImporterFastMPEG.bundle
- ImporterFlash.bundle
- ImporterMP3.bundle
- ImporterMPEG.bundle
- ImporterQT.bundle
- ImporterWave.bundle
- PlayerMac.bundle
I tried to delete only "Editing Modes" folder and leave the bundle files in place. Afterward, After FX started up properly without crashing. It just gave me an error saying "failed to initialize mediacore" and then the program worked. The only problem with this is, I wasn't able to import any movies or mp3's. They're all grayed out. I wasn't able to drag and drop videos or sounds either. They just didn't work.
So, I undeleted "Editing Modes" and I deleted the bundles. The same thing happened. THE ONLY difference is, when I leave Editing Modes and the bundle files in the folder together, the whole program crashes at start up. So the program works only with one or the other deleted.
Ugh, I don't know what the problem is exactly! I also have QuickTime Pro 7 installed and I have QuickTime X.
Does anyone have a solution??
Also I'm able to export PNG's (seems to be the only workable files) out as quicktime movies, but I can't import. Importing is my only problem.

Something is severely busted. I'm afraid you will have to reinstall the app and also have to reinstall Quicktime. Also of course do the usual and run a Repair permissions to fix any potential file access issues, trash the AE prefs and clean out the media cache manually. Location of folders here.

Opera issue with weblogic libproxy plugin

I am using iPlanet and weblogic
iPlanet as web server
and
weblogic as application server.
For connectivity between both, I am using libproxy.so plugin of weblogic for iPlanet server.
Both are SSL enabled.
It is working fine with IE 6> , Mozilla firefox..
But it is giving issue for file upload in Opera browser...

add the class "dropdown" for each dropdown menu inside Dynamic Menu manager at the backend. It also lets you to choose between toggle and hover on the dropdown menu. So if you client changes his/her mind you just
change the property "dropdownToggle" to false.

Ya you are correct. A good CSS3 Code and JQuery code and do the same thing. :-D
About the bug i was talking about sometimes was that even if you had the css & javascript correct, if you held your finger on a dropdown menu for more then 2 seconds the dropdown kept showing up. I followed the steps from bcgurus and the end result was always the same. After a while i got frustrated thats why i went down this road and went with a JQuery plugin.
The worst part was when the client had it so hard to decide between toggle and hover and others wanted the top & second level menus to be clickable.
How come you don't use many plugins these days, they are awesome. Googles Polymer is seems to go down this road.. i mean build sites with many different of plugins / modules.

Issue with xfce4-dict-plugin from current

pacman -S xfce4-goodies
error: unresolvable dependencies:
xfce4-dict-plugin: requires xfce4-panel>=4.40 but it is not in the sync db
Now, the .PKGINFO contains depend = xfce4-panel>=4.4.0 and the entire xfce4 group is installed from the archlinux.org mirror.. I'm in the dark here.

Refresh Issue in my Effect Plugin

Hi,
I'm writing a small effect plugin, where i have one or two color pickers in the UI.
The layer i'm applying the effect will be PreComp (with 2 layers inside). So whenever i change the color in my effect, that color should be updated to the Fill Effect of corresponding layers inside PreComp if they have any.
What i mean is if i change the color value in first color picker, it has to change the fill effect color for first layer inside that PreComp. And same goes with second.
I know its bit confusing.
Now my problem is color doesn't update properly. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
I tried sending PF_OutFlag_REFRESH_UI, but it doesn't work. May be this will refresh only current Comp.

Can't use centerim5... Issue with libpurple-2 plugins.

I installed centerim5-git from aur but it is unusable.
libpurple/prefs: Unable to find rename pref for /core/plugins
libpurple/plugins: /usr/lib/purple-2/libjabber.so is not usable because the 'purple_init_plugin' symbol could not be found. Does the plugin call the PURPLE_INIT_PLUGIN() macro?

Are there any known issues with the epub plugin causing firefox to revert search engine back to yahoo and then disabling the ability to change search settings?

My wife recently added a plugin, epub reader. Upon starting up Firefox the next day she noticed that the default search engine was changed back to Yahoo after we previously fixed this. Furthermore the ability to change search settings was grayed out. After epub reader was removed the problem was solved. I am surprised that I am unable to find anything written to this end about epub reader. Is this a tool promoted and distributed by Yahoo?
Incidentally, how much would each user need to contribute to get mozilla away from Yahoo? Yahoo is, in my opinion, little more than an advertising vehicle, and not a real search engine.

I went to Costco today and asked long known VZW Kiosk rep re what phone would he recommend...DX, DI or Fascinate.
Not to my surprise, I was told that DX is the best of those three. Given the fact that all three is the same price $199, it indicates that is has nothing to do with price.
When I acquired him about how Fascinate sales going, rep told me that since that phone went for sale this Thursday, local Costco only sold 10 Fascinate but that not all...7 of them were returned back to Costco by Saturday. That is a 70% return rate which seems to be way too high for the high level smartphone.
At the same time, local Costo VZW kiosk can't keep up with demand of the DX, they are being sold out as soon as they are getting them. I am not advertising for DX here as I am myself briefly owned DX as soon as it was released and its problem with reboot forced me to return it as I didn't want to deal with replacement as I had bad experience in the past two years with VZW replacing my phones every two to three month with replacement phone being worse then the one that is being replaced.
There is no such a thing as a perfect smartphone (sorry to all iPhone fans) but VZW should take a special "achievement" award for screwing up such a wonderful phone as Galaxy S.
I can only hope that either DX with 2.2 will be better than the one with 2.1 or I will wait for what is coming up with HTC in November.

Facing issues while creating excel plugins using dotnet

I am working on the design of a Project and Need help. Appreciate a quick Response.
The requirement goes like this -
We Need to create a custom menu in Excel, after clicking on this menu item, dotnet code will be invoked from where some data has to be retreived from a Client site using webservices. This data must be displayed in the Excel sheet.
Question:
I have been successfully able to create a custom menu but when I try to add an Event such that an Action happens when the user clicks on the menu item, it throws an error - "Cannot assign to 'MenuItem_Click' because it is a 'method group'"
