Issue in output device in communication method (very imp)

HI All,
Please help me to solve this issue,
I have an output type ZAME this output type They they are using for External send .
But in the communication output device they are using as LOCAL, Now user is asking me why the printer is configured as Local for the output type what is the reason,( Local location is Local printer Via SAPLPD on windows client).
Could please help to solve this quiry, whey we have to give printer name local and where exactly this prints.
Regards,
Muralikrishna

Hi
Your question itself has the answer.
You define the printer as Local in communication method. If this is done, the print out will be triggered in the printer which is configured as default printer in the desktop which triggered the transaction.
If the print out has to happen in some other printer, then the printer has to be included in the list of allowed printers in the tcode SPAD. This will be done by the BASIS guys.
Once this is done, you can maintain that printer in communication method. Then irrespective of the default printer, the printout will always happen in the printer maintained in commuincation method.
Hope  this helps you.
Reward please, if this helps.

  • Output device change

    Dears SAPers,
We are having the following problem. The output device is change by one inexistent when the output is executed.
When the user creates the outbound delivery the output is determinate, but not prints yet (status “not processed”). Here the output device is correct and is the one set in the condition record. Then, when the user executes the post good issue the output device is change by one inexistent call “SIS0”, and the field “Spool request: Name” is complete with the name of the message.
Does anyone know what is happening?
    I will reward.
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi Emilio,
please first check the entry in table NAST, field LDEST. Is it correct after saving the delivery ?
I think the best is then to set a breakpoint during the creation of the goods issue in function module MESSAGING in order to find out if the printer is changed here. If this does not help please goto TA V/34, find out the used print program and set a breakpoint there (normally at the beginning of form ENTRY).

  • Change Output Device Settings @ Runtime?

This will sound silly, but there is a good reason for it :).  Also, I am not much of an ABAPer.
We have a requirement to change output device settings on the fly in a program.  For instance, in case A, we would like to use the output device as it was originally configured in SPAD.  However, in case B, we would like to override the output device's access method and host dynamically in code.
Is there any function module or technique that can change these output device properties via code at runtime (printtime)?
    Thanks,
    Kris

    Hi Yunfa Zhang,
what is defined as ABAP program in the Job's step? Maybe it ignores whatever you specify and reads the LP01 from somwwhere else, i.e. your user settings.

  • To assign the Adobe form in the communication method of the output type.

    Hi Gurus,
SAP has provided an option to assign the SAP script In the communication method screen which will use to print the layout (document) using this SAP script.  Internally it will overwrite the form name of the Nace transaction. SAP has not provided a field to assign the Adobe forms.
Can any one help me to resolve this issue
    Thanks,

I don´t understand your problem. I always use Adobe forms in my NACE transaction. Otto

  • Am I Lame? Video Output Device issues

It's been a while since we've used Final Cut Express, so we're a little rusty. A lot of it is working fine, but for some reason, it cannot connect to the video output device. I even tried reinstalling final cut express with the camera turned on and plugged into the firewire (I read that somewhere), but it made no difference. I searched these forums and found no reference to "video output device" or "cannot connect". So, any help for me out there?
The stats are - Final Cut Express 4, brand new mini DV camera (becoming obsolete, I know), firewire from the Mac to the camera and video out to the TV. FYI - the camera to the TV is fine...and the camera IS set to "play" mode, as opposed to "record" mode.
The error message mentions that it could either be an issue with the camera connection, OR it might be a conflict with the audio input device. Not sure why that would be, but if anyone has any ideas on how to investigate that further, that might be helpful. We do run Logic 8 and have an Echo soundcard installed with 2 1/4 inputs and 2 1/4 inch outputs. (in case anyone cares).
One last thing - I know I'm theoretically not running a good enough processor, but I don't think that's the issue. Logic 8 has the same requirements and runs great, and FCPExpress doesn't seem to be having any issues in terms of processing power.
    Thanks again.
    Kat

Yes, I did have that selected...thanks, though. Now, my audio has suddenly stopped working. No idea why. I have tried restarting the program a couple of times (which helped before, when the audio quit working). But now, that's not helping either. I don't know what heppened - All I did before the audio stopped working, was I shut down the computer and the camera and unplugged it all and replugged it and restarted. I did that to try to help the video playthrough problem (which it didn't help) and now I have no audio. ****, this is frustrating. Sigh.
Just FYI - we decided to unplug the camera from the system, since we couldn't get the video to play through to the TV anyhow. When we did that, the audio started working (just on the computer). I guess the playthrough issue was affecting the audio as well. Sigh. Any help is much appreciated.

  • No Output Devices Found and Track Pad Issues

I bought my Macbook Pro in mid-November 2011.  Yesterday I noticed that my Macbook did not have any sound and when I checked System Preferences it gave me the dreaded "No output devices found" message.  I could hear a start up sound but nothing after I have already logged in to any of my accounts.  This is the first time I encountered it and I did some research so I have already done a PRAM reset, permission repair and I even created a new user account to see if I will encounter the same problem.  Same thing on the other user account, still no sound.  I also found out that the sound would only come out with a USB headset.  Headsets with jacks won't work either.
I brought the unit to a service center and they advised me to reinstall OS X Lion and I did.  There was sound right after I reinstalled the OS.  However, it was gone again when I did a reboot.  I also noticed that my track pad won't respond on certain occasions and I have to do a force shutdown by pressing the power button.  What could be the problem?  I am fearing that this is a hardware issue.  I prefer not to have to bring the unit to a service center, wait for a week to get it back then only to encounter the same problem in the future.

Try resetting the PRAM and SMC...

  • Output device issue in smartform

    Hi All,
I have configured smartform and driver program throough nace and testing output . I am facing the problem of  alignment of  output which is changing  depening on Printer. i.e., for printer one the field KOMVD-KBETR(VAT) is prining properly .But if we give another printer or MAIL_PDF as output device then it is moving towards left and alignemnt is wront.
Please let me know if any solution and max points will provided.
    Thanks,

When using SAPscript or SmartForms, HP (PCL based) printers in SAP will generate an extra 1/4 inch or so on the left margin.
Design your form for the specific printer.  If multiple printer types will be used, design the form to fit regardless of the margin adjustment.

  • For m.type 261 goods issue output device need to be configure

    Hi All,
As above said in the subject line is there any way to configure output device for m.type 261 goodsissue
I want to configure output device only for m.type 261 not for other m.types so kindly let me know the configuration settings.
    regards
    sapmm

    The configuration steps are under:
IMG \ Materials Management \ Inv. Man. and PI \ Output determination . . .
    Condition Tables
    Access sequence
    Output Types
    Procedure
You want a small Requirement (an ABAPer could create in minutes) for your Procedure that limits the output according to Movement Type 261.

  • BPM_DATA_COLLECTION fails with (Output device "" not known) error

    Hi all,
I have an issue with Output BPM_DATA_COLLECTION_1 job in the satellite system  failing with 'Output device "" not known error.  Since it is collecting data for Solution Manager system why does is it trying to find an output device.
It did not fail before and now I added another key figure (custom one) which is done the same way the other custom monitors are done in "Z_BPM_ECU_COLLECTOR" report and then in /SSA/EXM program, but the collector job started to fail.
Also, for some reason there are two BPM_DATA_COLLECTION jobs, one is BPM_DATA_COLLECTION_1 and the other is BPM_DATA_COLLECTION_2.  _1 runs every 5 min and _2 is less frequent. They both seem to runt the same job which is /SSA/EXS. Why are there two jobs scheduled from solution manager in my satellite system?
Thank you very much for your help!

I am experiencing this same issue in our ECC 6.0 system.  We currently have ST-A/PI release 01M_ECC600 level 0001 applied to our system.  These jobs finish successfully in SM37, but I'm seeing the same error messages in our system logs (SM21).
When I try to update the output device that is associated with these jobs, the user ID running the jobs is not valid since it's user type is Communication Data.
Does anyone know if it ok to change the user for this job? Should it be run by DDIC?  I believe the jobs were created automatically when we applied ST-A/PI release 01M_ECC600 level 0001.

  • Emailing SAP standard report using output device ZPDF1

I have two questions regarding the ability to email a standard SAP report.
The user community has been using the action box in tran QM02 to create a corrective action (8D) report. The action box triggers FM QM06_FM_TASK_REQUEST_8DREPORT and QM06_REQUEST_8D_REPORT_STEP2. This process not only creates the report but creates a task in the notification that the report has been generated. The process pops up the PRINT options box to choose various setting including output device. They will then print the report, scan this hardcopy report and email it to the vendor.
We recently showed them a more streamlined process to emailing the report. When the PRINT popup appears, they fill in the output device with ZPDF1 and hit enter. This brings in an email address line that can be filled with the vendor’s email. By specifying the ZPDF1 output device, the report is generated as a PDF attachment and sent along to the vendor via email.
The two questions I have are:
    1. Is there any way to bring over the print parameters needed for the popup screen and eliminate this screen from appearing?
The subject line on the email is populated with the system and spool number even if the title line is filled in on the print popup. Also, the email body has is created with generic text.
    2. How can the email subject and body information be changed?
Sorry for the lengthy post but I am not very technical and I wanted to describe the issues as best as possible.
    thanks

  • Output device not defined error while saving the quotation

    Hi all,
We have some custom output types (ZGEN, ZSSO, ZQTO, ZJT)configured in the nace transaction for Application V1.  Whenever i am creating / saving a quotation one of the output type(ZQTO) is not processing for mail (External Send) and it is displaying an error as 'Output device not defined'.  If i remove all the output types while changing the quotation in VA22 from header, it is processing.
I checked with all other output types combination.  The error is trigerred only when we  have ZJT output type along with ZQTO.
We are not able to recognise the error.  Please help out to solve this issue.  Its very urgent.
    Thanks.

    Hi Remi
Thanks for your reply. As per your reply I followed procedure and it allowed me to save Basic Pay Infotype (0008)
    Thanks a ton.

  • Is there no way to direct an AIR app's audio to different audio output devices?

I'm needing to make a couple of our AIR apps select certain audio devices to send their audio output to, and last year, somebody mentioned possibly using native extensions to do this.  I had to start working on other things for a while, but I've come back to this (for the moment), and I've basically learned how to create native extensions.
But so far, they don't seem to provide me any special access to anything going on under the hood of an AIR app.  When you stream live audio in through RTMP or RTMFP, the details of the audio are hidden from you.  There doesn't appear to be any place where you can actually access the audio bytes that are being sent over the wire.  You can specify a certain SoundTransform object for the NetStream to use, but that class is final and a vanilla Flash construct, so even if it may have a way to access the audio bytes, they're not acessible at all.
It really looks like, when a NetStream object starts streaming in live audio, there is no way under the sun to access the audio bytes and direct them to a certain audio output device, with or without extensions.  Is this so?  It would be unfortunate if Adobe didn't allow this, even through native extensions.  Thanks.

    Couple quick thoughts..
Limits are important. There's a large amount of work done to keep a clear separation between a users decision and a developers decision. For instance, you can't change a users default audio output because that clearly violates a users decision. That said, here's a whole mess of people debating the issue and actually eventually an undocumented COM API you can find that will actually let you do it in Vista/Win7 (but not 8), however don't expect that to be a 'good thing to do':
    http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/9ebd7ad6-a460-4a28-9de9-2af63fd4a13e/programatica lly-setting-the-default-playback-device-and-recording-device?forum=windowspro-audiodevelop ment
You might want to get a beverage before reading that.
Aside that, RTMP is secured, which is why you can't gain access to the bytes. The entire purpose of it is to assure media developers that their media can't easily be copied/stolen. Adobe doesn't document their method of securing streams but they do publish the RTMP specification. It's entirely possible for you to create your own RTMP server and encryption method while delivering a RTMP stream to custom client that you code yourself which can read the stream. Here's the spec:
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/rtmp.html
So I'd say it would be unfortunate if Adobe did give you access to the bytes. You might as well just hand users a mp3 of whatever song is playing because they would steal media left and right.
That isn't to say you can't use a multitude of ways of getting the data going across the default output device. Plenty of apps (fraps/etc) capture video and mixed audio streams. But Adobe isn't going to give you the keys to the kingdom and let you decrypt their protected media protocol.

  • Windows 8.1 Pro No Audio Output Device

Hi, I recently installed Windows 8.1 Pro on my laptop using Boot Camp. Everything works perfectly, except for the audio. It says there is no audio output device installed. Can someone give me the proper link to fix this? Also, clear instructions would be great because I am not very experienced with this.

BC 5.1.5621 is a collection of drivers not a single unified driver. You can see it on the USB drive on which they get downloaded and written to. The collection in the zip file is what Rudegar is referring to. There is a Realtek, Intel HDA, and many other individual drivers in the zip file.
If you cannot see the devices in Device Manager in Windows, then it may be an issue. Did you install W8.1 via EFI Boot on an older than 2013 Mac?
