Issue in service order billing- total cost is positive but negative cost exists in different periods

Hello Experts,
Need you advice/solutuin on the below scenario:
In a service order the total accumulated cost is positive, (some material positings has been reversed in some other periods, so that is displayed as negative cost in the cost overveiw): but when we try to the billing in DP90. it is asking for credit memo request also. 
In the DIP profile configuration following characteristics are maintained for generation of dynamic items:
Activity type, Cost element, Material, Object number, Period, Posting row, Transaction Currency, Unit of Measure,
As per my understanding negative cost is taken into consideration because of the "Period" characteristics maintained in the ODP1 tcode. And this is causing the creation of credit memo request due to cancelled postings in different period, as a result for that period total accumulated cost is not positive.
My analysis may not be correct, Please let me know your understanding on this and how we can handle this situation if not want to create the credit memo request (because it will require extra configuration i.e. sales area mapping etc and may lead to change in interfaces etc..)

    to main construction concern.
    How to link this process of SD service order billing with PS.

    Hi Vivek,
    What I wanted to say that you won't get information from VAV about billing since as far as I know it doesn't contain any relevant table.
    You should try create a query using LIKP-LIPS-(joint type: left outer)-VBRK. This will connect deliveries to billing document, you can also get SO number. Please try this.
    (Sorrowully I don't know which logical database would be good for you)

    I am developing a report for billed service orders . I wanted to know what is the
    OBJTYPE for billing.
    In the CRM_ORDER_READ function module we can see
    OBJTYPE = BUS2000117 ( For Service Confirmation)
    OBJTYPE = BUS2000116 ( For Service Order)
    How my report will fetch only those service order details which are billed ?
    Is there any common key ?

    OK, next step could be to have a look to see if Plant is checked (I think it might be) and if you so could create roles on groups of plants which represent each Sales area.  It's not perfect but short of changing the code (you could speak to an ABAPer to see if there is a user exit or enhancement point they could use) you could reduce some of your risk this way

    Hi Swati,
    Every document will have two types of statuses
    1. Header level
    2. Item level
    Whenever the item is set to Released (Not the Header status) then the billing items get triggered and you will see them in the billing dues list.
    and one more prerequisite is you will have to set your item category as Relevant to billing and also have to do the config around that item category

    Hi,
    I have been forced to join the board to try and get my current BT account sorted out. No end of calling the call centre has helped. They always promise to take care and assure that I will handle this and promise to call back and do they call back? No! I am fed up with being nice as it's not the call centre guy's fault that BT are so incompetent. In fact even when an official complaint was put in to BT and head office called me promising to sort the mess out they made the situation even worse and there is no way for me to contact them back. I've tried posting in the online form but after typing all the details in and hitting submit I was told to limit my entry to 240 characters so another half hour wasted!
    I Joined BT almost a year ago took calls, broadband option 2 and bt vision bronze. Change the call bundle to all inclusive day, evening weekend. After 2 months BT vision stopped allowing me access to content wanted to charge me for everything. Contacted BT Vision they told me I wasn't on a subscription BT billing said I was as I was being charged monthly.
    Tried for months to get this rectified and it took a strongly worded complaint to get action when they acknowledge that they had billed me for a service I could not access. I was refunded the BT vision charges and had the service cancelled completely in Feb. this year. At the same time I was advised to move to the unlimited download option for my Broadband from option 2 as I was using more than my limit so I agreed to this as it seemed sensible.
    I received various emails and another call back to assure me that it had all been sorted and was told that my account had been credited.
    This Monday I noticed I had an email about my broadband usage being over 40gb so I checked online and can see that the change to BT option 3  has been stalled since the 16feb
    Call centre guy told me there were "Technical difficulties" seems odd since I already have a working broadband service and it's just the cap that's being lifted. I have been charged £30 for exceeding my allowance yet this doesn't align with my recorded usage.
    Then I got an email warning me that we had made a local call that cost more than £1 so checked that and I have been moved from all inclusive to evening & weekend calls so now I have an additional charge for phone calls that should have been included.
    Digging deeper I can see that BT have started charging me for the BT vision service again as well! So, I did out the box and check to see if they have provided access and no same as before everything chargeable! Not that I want the BT vision service (or as I call it the BT No Vision but well charge you for it service).
    So there couldn't be anything more wrong could there? Well yes they've started me on a new contract and not applied the three months free. Anything more?
    Indeed despite my account being in credit BT have just taken money from my bank account! So, why give me a credit to my account and not actually apply it to any bill?
    Monday I spent a hour - hour half on the phone. Got cut off three times (call centre guy said they were having some problems with the phone lines). On the 4th call I was told that due to the time 7.30pm and a long queue there was nothing that could be done for me that evening but I would be called back the next day. I selected 5.15 and made sure I was ready for the call. It never came.
    Now, I want to say the call centre guy was very pleasant, wanted to reassure me all would be resolved and I would be happy and I so wanted to believe that.
    So, Wednesday I tried the online feedback form but that was rejected due to me typing more than 240 characters. I really would like to have been able to type something succinct but it would have read. BT Rubbish, sort 
    So, Joy of joys Thursday evening and another call to BT to see why I wasn't call back and why my account still hasn't been fixed. After waiting 20 minutes for an answer as BT are very busy (So am I) I get to tell the whole story to another helpful call centre agent who then has to put me in another queue for another team and guess what another 20 minute wait.
    Now, here I may have made progress as I get to speak to a nice lady from Aberdeen who apologies and explains because of the lateness of the hour (7:30) they can't deal with my problems tonight but it will be put in a diary for someone to resolve and I have been promised a call back on Friday.
    I am reasonably hopeful the callable will come and if not I have a Aberdeen number for BT.
    I did think about not posting this given I have another promised call back but actually I think this needs to be seen and read by customers, people in a similar situation to me and hopefully by those in BT who are in a position to put procedures in place to stop customers being treated like this.
    You know I though talk talk were bad. Well, it's time to prepare some tea and hopefully relax before another day at work.

  • Costing indicator in Repair Service Order

    Hi Gurus,
    I am facing pblm in Repair Service order for component cost.
    Actually the flow is creation of a Service Order automatically using Requirement type from a Return Sales Order.
    Items returned in Return Sales Order are Non - valuated & hence appearing as non-valuated in my Service Order Component tab as well (Defaulted Parent Item -->" Not relavant to costing")
    This is creating pblm to me. Whatever parts, materials I am issuing to Service order are not getting costed. Also the Costing indicator for all the components lines appearing as Not relavent to Costing.
    How I can set it Relavent to Costing for the Child items. Is this control lies in Task List/BOM setting?

    Spare components are not influenced in anyway by the actual repairable equipment. Pls check other settings.

  • Incorrect costing sheet in service orders

    Hi All,
    We have one issue with service orders (T-code: IW32 ) setup.We have processed many service orders in system
    and recently we came to know that there is incorrect cost sheet derived into all the service order from the defaulted cost values of plant and order type.
    Now we want to do the proper setup for correct costing sheet for that plant and order type relationship .
    Can you please help us of  process setups to follow to correct the costing sheet for this requirement and what is the impact on posted service order with incorrect service orders.

  • Service Order Planned Costs and Cost Center Planned Line Items

    Experts,
    I am curious of Service Order Planned costs, and whether or not these planned costs are being posted to the Cost Center linked to the Service Order Operation's work center.
    I am a but puzzled as I don't see any planned costs from any Service Order Operation in a cost center linked to the Operations work center, when reviewing "Cost Centers: Plan Line Items" report.

    The planned costs were input in one of the Service Order operations as planned hours. There is a column for it in the operations list. The amount of hours have incurred a planned cost on the Service Order header.
    I simply assumed that this cost would be credited to the Cost Center linked to the operation's Work Center. But that is obviously not the case. I am not familiar with the PLICC field and the functionality it provides.

    How to take out a cost report for a service order? like my requirement is how the cost of a Service Order  is hitting to which cost center and profit center and company code and posting of the concerned GL along with the activity type.for example i have a service order where some activity is there with various hours all togather 25 hrs, how this is costed and posted in whic cost center and GL and Porfit center along with the rate.

    Please, try transaction KOB1.  You also should be able to drill-down to line items with a partner object view.

  • Assignemnt field (ZUONR) not updating for Service Order RAS

    I am facing an issue in service order RAS (Order Related Billing), here assignment field (VBRK-ZUONR and BSEG-ZUONR) is not updating against document type RV.
    Same is not reflected against customer in FBL5N also.
    Please suggest.

    Check the copy rules in tcode VTFL and/or VTFA. Check the field for assignment number. Check also the VOFM subroutines.
    Also, check Note 301077 - User exits for the interface to accounting to change the value of ZUONR in BSEG (in ACCIT in the interface of this FM)

    Hi all,
    I have 2 quick questions:
    - Is there any way where we can do the revaluation at actual prices for service orders? I tried using CON2, but it doesn't work
    - Suppose i am using valuated Sales Order Stock with control by SO, at which level should i calculate the Result analysis? Production Order or Sales Order?

    I have some other questions regarding CO-PA, hope you don't mind sparing some time
    I have done some settings to transfer the cost component structure to COPA value field, i believe i have maintained it accordingly:
    - Define and assign valuation strategy (empty screen, except for mat. cstg checked, and Qty field = ABSMG, assigned to record type A.C and F)
    - Define access to standard cost estimate (costing variant, costing version and period indicator is set to match GI dates for released cost estimate, the plant will be according to the SO line item, exclusive access to cost estimate is checked)
    - assign costing keys to material types (assigned to particular material type, assigned to record type A,C,and F)
    - assign value fields (assigned)
    Point of valuation is real time (01)
    but, while creating the SO, the actual line items of COPA (ke24) is not populated with the cost component structure in the value field. Is there any other settings outside of those? or any indicator in the cost component structure that can affect this transfer?
    the transfer of other condition type to SO is working fine (such as: PR00, VPRS, etc)

  • IW45 changes cancellation of confirmed service orders

    Hi Every one,
    User is trying to cancel a confirmed service order using Transaction code IW45. When he cancells the service order it is showing the posting date is past date( order confirmed date). Not current date.
    But when we do the cancellaton of production orders and goods issue against service orders it is showing current date ( default ).
    As per user requirement the cancellation of confirmed service order should display the current date not past date.
    Since IW45 is a standard process , then the user requirement is the cancellation of service orders posting date should be the current date but not the service order confirmed date( Past Date ).
    Please let me know is there any possibility if so how??
