Issue installing driver

I am running Windows 8, Itunes, and an Iphone 4 - all up to date software. When I connect my iphone to the computer, Windows makes the sound that says you've connected a device. After that, neither Windows nor Itunes recognizes the phone. When I go to update/reinstall the driver for my iphone, I receive the message, "One of the installers for this device cannot perform the installation at this time."
I've tried MANY of the solutions posted here in the forums, but always get the above message. Windows even says the device is not configured correctly and that I need to find a driver. I don't have any drivers listed under Program files x86, just in the Program files folder.
If I go under wi-fi sync on my phone it says, "sync will resume when "computer" is available.
What gives? How do I correct this problem? Thanks for any help!

At the end of installing is appeared message: Printer installation failed. Printer was not installed.
After this I tried to install again, and message was:

I see that you are having issues installing the printer. I would like to help you out today.
Disconnect the USB cable.
Here are the steps to run the uninstall from the computer or the CD.
To uninstall from program files:
Touch the Windows key and the E key to access the computer window.
Select the C drive.
Select program files or program files x86.
Open the HP and printer name folder.
Select uninstall.
Uninstall the software from the CD:
Touch the Windows key and the E key to access the computer window. Right click on the CD for the printer, left click open in a new window, double click on uninstall.
I would disable all the start up programs and temporarily turn off the Antivirus Software to see if there is a program interfering in the back ground. How to use MSCONFIG . Click on the start up tab and click disable all.
Restart the Print Spooler.
Click Start (), type services.msc in the Start Search box, and then press Enter.
Right-click Print Spooler, and then click Properties.
Under Service status, click Stop and then Start, click OK.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet and the USB cable is connected directly to the computer.
The USB cable shouldn't be longer then 6 feet. Don't connect the USB cable until prompted.
Download, save and then run the newest drivers or run the CD.
HP LaserJet Pro P1102w Printer Drivers.
Test the printer.
Then you will have to go back and enable the startup programs and turn the Antivirus Software back on again.

Im having an Issue installing/upgrading to iTunes 10.6.1.7 When upgrading it would not istall and tell me to go to Tools>Download manual. I also had an issue with my IPod touch not showing up in iTuens all of a sudden. So figuring the two problems were related I uninstalled iTunes (cleaned my itues folder in my C drive also) with hopes installing it fresh would work and now when I install 10.6.1.7 I get the following in a pop-up window "The installer encountered errors before iTunes could be configured. Anyone know what the issue is?

Try the following steps:
1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:

Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:

Problems with Vista installing driver for

Just bought the 6 G ZEN and have installed the supplied software for the device and when I connect the device to the PC Vista starts to Install Driver Software. I then get an error message 'Device driver was not installed successfully, please consult manufacturer for assistance getting this device installed.'
I also tried downloading the updated software from?the Creative website?and installing this on my PC, however I get the same error message.
When I go in to the control panel and to the device manager, there are two new portable devices with errors:
. Creative ZEN, with error message: 'Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 9)'
2. Unknown device, with error message: 'This device is not configured correctly. (Code )'

i'm afraid the issue could be due to the pc as the nati've driver on the vista computer might be corrupted.
but to confirm that, you can access to recovery mode to do clean up to have a try.
also you can still upgrade the latest firmware on the xp computer to see the results.

Having issues installing Laserjet 2250n on Windows XP

Hi,
I am having issues installing my HP Laserjet 2250n on my computer running Windows XP. I have downloaded a number of drivers from the HP site (listed below) and each time i try to install through windows new hardware wizard, it gives me a message telling me that the required software is not installed. I have tried installing Easy Printer Care software and then tried installing the driver but no luck either. It would help if the website mentions which driver is required for basic printing rather than showing multiple other drivers for other purposes which confuses people.
Also, I tried logging a support case through the HP website and it is not recognising my serial number. This is very annoying since I can not log a case without entering the serial number. I have checked 5 times on the printer to ensure I am reading the serial number correctly, and the sticker does clearly mention serial number so i am reading the correct number.
Please assist with this issue. Thanks.

Windows XP SP 3 does not recognize HP Scanjet 3770 after downloading and installing driver

I have a second hand HP Scanjet 3770 scanner.
After downloading and installing driver there is only 1 icon on my desktop - Image Zone.
There is not icon of HP Director software, neither on desktop nor in C:\Program files\HP folder
Windows XP SP 3 does not recognize HP Scanjet 3770 after downloading and installing driver (Image Zone software)
There is another scanning HP device installed on the same computer - all-in-one HP Photosmart C 4280
What I have to do ?

Some things that pop in my head- your CD/DVD drive may need cleaning (laser eye). There are discs to do this or you can use a cotton swab sometimes to wipe the laser. OR- the last recovery may have been the last fatal strain on the CD/DVD drive and it is now not functioning. Maybe you could borrow the drive from the other Dv4 and try it- or borrow/buy a USB CD/DVD drive to try.

MacBook Pro unable to recognise installed driver for Huawei E1762 USB Modem

Model Name: MacBook Pro / Model Identifier: MacBookPro8,2 / Processor Name: Intel Core i7 running Max OS X 10.6.6
I have installed the driver for the Huawei E1762 USB Mobile Broadband Modem into my 15 inch Mac successfully. However, the Network in System Preferences don't seem to recognise the presence of the modem.
When I click on the connection icon, a connection window opens, followed by a pop up message saying "the device is disconnected or unavailable" then it went away. Though the modem has flashing Blue light indicating the presence of a 3G signal, there are no display of the 3G signal on the connection window; hence unable to connect to the network. Hence confirming that the Mac doesn't seem to recognise the installed driver.
The Huawei Modem was obtained from PennyTel.com.au connecting to the Vodafone 3G Network. It was working fine while it was on the Optus Network. But it has since been moved to the Vodafone network as the latest offering from PennyTel. Since the Vodafone has different configuration settings, I deleted all the old settings and then tried to do the above without any success.
I have just reinstalled the Mac OS X from the CD hoping to repiar the OS but no success
Has anyone get any assistance or suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I purchased and installed a zotac 9600 GT which has GB onboard ram, which works fine, but now my X-Fi has started causing general system instability. (processes using heaps of CPU time whilst apparently doing not much, jerky/slow adobe flash, distorted (slow-motion) audio at random times, etc etc.

However... When this issue first came up I formatted my primary dri've, reinstalled the OS and downloaded the latest drivers for EVERYTHING. The problem has prevailed..
It was only yesterday that I tracked down this problem in the support section here, and tried to verify that my driver is indeed the latest. But device manager lists the driver as "6.0.0.209" when in the support section here the downloads are named ".xx.xxxx" or something. How can I confirm that I have the latest driver? In any case, I'm almost certain that I have the latest, and this issue is still occuring.
I have read in other forums that on other varients of my X-FI card, the latest drivers have not solved this problem either.. sorry I cant be more accurate than that.
For now, I have solved this problem by simply removing 2GB of ram from my PC. Obviously, I'd like to find a solution and put the other 2GB back in!

Or Daniel, you could you please tell me how you modified the previous drivers from auzentech as I dont know how these CL drivers work and are modified. What is the inf in these drivers, and if you could tell me the deviceID?s of all the x-fi models, or atleast for x-fi xtreme music as it is my modell. Thx in advance!

I have modified the drivers, was not so hard after all. Im uploading the file now, which should have support for all X-FI cards thanks to Daniel's great job with the earlier version.

Issues installing Photoshop CS5 in my Mac Book Pro

I have heard that there are issues installing Photoshop CS5 in case sensitive Snow Leopard drives. How do I know if I have a case sensitive drive. I was able to download the 30 trial version of Photoshop CS5. My file system is listed as - Journaled HFS+. Is anyone familiar with this issue and will I have this issue installing Photoshop CS5 on my Mac? Thanks.

As you had already downloaded the installer, give it a try. Well if your file system is Journaled HFS+ installer will not report any error related to file system.
To check the file system -
Finder > File > New Finder Window
Select only the volume under Devices for which you wish to get the file system information.
File > Get Info
Under General tab check Format:
I believe it would be just "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" in your case. For case-sensitive it would be like -
"Mac OS Extended (Case-sensitive, Journaled)" or "Mac OS Extended (Case-sensitive)"

HP Officejet 4630 cannot install driver. Windows XP Sp3

I did purchase this printer earlier today and have been on this issue for a couple hours already. The box is not too far, and the printer might go back in soon !
The printer is working fine, it has been connected to my router, the light is always on, it says connected to the wifi system. The wifi connection confirmation page has printed, everything is "Success".
My problem is that anytime i try to install the drivers, the setup searches for a printer that is connected but not yet installed. It notices my printer with the good ip address, then copy a couple driver files and then tells me it fails to install the printer.
The current setup is OJ4630_198, I've found an older version and tried it but pretty much the same results, except that before it stops the installation telling me it fails to do so, it ask me to locate the HP CD on my cd drive, searching for a fax setup installation .png but fails a second later.
I'm pretty clueless, I've tried installing it manually but of course the selection of the Communication Port is somewhat tricky with a wire less printer. I noticed there is a "Create a new port" selection available in which appears an option named "Hp Discovery Port Monitor (HP 4630 series)" which is oddly my new printer. Tried it but it doesn't work.
I've reset my router, pc and printer several times, tried assigning my printer to a different port number, all ended with the same results. It connects to my wifi, but i cannot manage to install the driver for the printer. So my printer list is empty atm..

3. In the list of available printers, select the one you want to use, and then click Next. (If your computer is connected to a network, only printers listed in Active Directory for your domain are displayed in the list.)
4.If prompted, install the printer driver on your computer by clicking Install driver. Administrator permission required If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
5 Complete the additional steps in the wizard, and then click Finish.
Now you can start printing...

Issues installing Leopard

I have had some issues installing Leopard. I put the CD in while in Tiger I believe it was, and it came up with the screen with a big X and a button to click on to install it. It told me it needed to reboot the machine, so I let it go ahead and reboot. After the reboot it came to the gray screen with an Apple on it, and the progress meter on it that ticks around to show progress. I have left it at that screen for over 3 hours and it has made not changed. I finally just turned the machine off even though I hate having to do a hard shutdown on my computer. I then turned it back on to see what it would do, and it does the exact same thing. It stops at the progress screen and just has the progress bar spinning around.
Any suggestions as what to do or where to go with it at this point, because I can't even turn get the disc out of the machine when I first initially turn it on.
Any help would be useful.

To eject the disk, restart your Mac while holding down the mouse button. You should then see a flashing question mark in a folder, indicating that the Mac can't find the startup disk it was set to use (in this case the Leopard installer disk), & after a few moments, a normal startup from Tiger.
If this doesn't work, restart while holding down the Option key, wait for the Mac to search for all possible startup disks, & chose your normal Tiger one from among the icons, then click the continue arrow to boot from it.
Some possible causes why the Leopard disk will not start your Mac:
1. The disk is damaged -> examine it for scratches or blemishes
2. Parameter RAM is not correctly set -> restart and immediately hold down Command-Option-P-R (4 keys), release after you hear the startup sound for the second time.
3. The DVD drive is defective -> see if it will read another DVD (not CD)
4. Your Mac has marginal RAM, good enough to run Tiger but not the Leopard installer -> run Apple hardware Test from your original Mac system disk set
NOTE: some of these steps will not work as expected if you do not use a wired, Apple branded keyboard. If you have something else, please let us know.
