Gee Wiz, A lot of information out on this,
My resolve was simple
Save to Desktop
Right Click Make Sure not blocked
Then rename Icon to executable file, add .exe to the end and wholla the icon change to install icon and works
Just sayin

I don't know what issue you were having, but clearly not the one that is affecting most.

Cmpilation Issue in I-tunes 12

I am using I-tunes in Windows 8.1. My normal working environment is Playlist/Music where I can see Name Artist Album Genre etc.
My issue is that in this environment I cannot see all the songs in an Album that was made into a compilation by I-tunes. I did go into the MY MUSIC environment and grab all the songs so that I could uncheck compilation. Indication is that is worked and all the songs show up everywhere else except where I work as mentioned above. I would actually like compilations just completely turned off in I-tunes as I have no use for the feature. Just causes me grief.
Pointers please.

I'm not sure that I understand the issue. The "Part of a Compilation" flag is part of the rules that iTunes uses to group songs into albums (and, in many senses, a redundant one, since the Album Artist field can be used for the same purpose and with greater flexibility). The setting of this flag should be irrelevant in Songs view, except as it may be part of the rules used to sort the songs - e.g., if you choose to sort by Album then all songs that:
have the same Album value
have the "Part of a Compilation" flag checked
will be grouped together in the listing, However, if you're viewing your complete library in Songs mode, all songs should be there independent of the Compilation flag.
If you need to see which songs in your library have this flag set, create a Smart Playlist as follows:
which will list all songs for which the flag is checked.

I have installed and uninstalled i tunes to windows vista several times and i keep getting an error message of no apple support

I have tried numerous times to install and uninstall i tunes on windows vista and I keep getting an error message of no apple support. Anyone have a solution to this?

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Is there an issue with home sharing and windows 8? I've tried everything and cant get mine to work.

You can install a 64-bit Windows 7 or Vista version in your Mac. Make sure you downloaded these drivers > http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1630 Also, if you have the Snow Leopard DVD you used to upgrade your Mac or the OS X DVD that came with your Mac, you can use it to install the Boot Camp drivers

Qosmio F50-125 - How to use TV-FM Tuner in Windows 7

Hello,
I am using Qosmio F50-125 and I just upgraded to Windows 7.
I just now found out that I have a TV tuner on my notebook and I dont know how to use it.
First I dont have drivers for my TV tuner and tried to download something like TV-tuner driver v.2.3.3.31 from the toshiba website, but there is not a typical setup.exe but just some files inside.
If you could tell me a bit more about how to use my TV option and how to install the proper drivers I would be truly grateful.

Friend of me has also Qosmio F50 with TV Tuner and Windows 7 now. As far as I know the posted instructions from the other users are correct.
First you have to extract all files. Then go in device manager and right click on the TV card (I think its marked with yellow exclamation mark). If you right click choose Update Driver and in next windows choose the advanced installation (second point). Now you have to choose the driver directory yourself and navigate to the folder where you have extracted the files. Click on OK, Next, etc. and the driver should be installed properly.
Maybe you to restart the notebook but this shouldnt be a problem! ;)

I-Tunes for Windows with Lame

How about not using the I-Tunes for Windows MP3 encoder, and encoding with Lame ? Is this possible ? From where can I get the plug-in ? does it really work ? Pros and Cons ?

Thanks Joe for your help. I will check back. I would like to rip with I-Tunes for Windows and encode with the Lame plug-in ( it seems it is available only for Mac). I know EAC is excellent in Secure Mode, but it comes with Freedb (no composer tag info) and not CDDB/Gracenote that comes with I-Tunes and shows composer tag. The composer tag is of extreme importance to me when ripping my Jazz cds.

There is no version of iTunes that supports the 64-bit version of Windows XP and never will be. If you search this forum for "XP 64"or do a web search for something like "iTunes Windows XP 64", you'll find threads describing the process some people have used to "crowbar" iTunes onto XP 64, with varying levels of success, none of them complete.

I tried a lot to find out i-tunes for Windows XP Professional x64 bit
but i didn't get any solution for installing i-tunes in my laptop which had Windows XP Professional x64 bit.
when i asked to other person then at last i found only one reply that,
"If i want to install i-tunes in my laptop then i has to CHANGE OPERATING SYSTEM

iTunes is a 32 bit program.
The 64 bit installer has 64 bit drivers for burning and the iPhone.
If you don't have an iPhone you should be able to install the 32 bit iTunes and then download the 64 bit Gear drivers for burning from the Gear download site:

You may need to enable scripts if you are using Firefox with Noscript.

any known issues with illustrator 10 and windows 8...version worked fine on windows xp....new computer with windows 8....now cannot seem to operate. Loads, and shows access but will NOT start up. help ! thanx ttp74

AI 10 is now 10 years or so old and was never tested on nor designed for Win 7 or Win 8. You should simply assume it's not compatible and will never run properly. feel free to spend your time with the compatibility modes and al lsorts of hacking with the security stuff and otehr settings, but to be honest, it will probably be a waste of time.

Initial issues with PS CS4 Extended Windows XP Pro.
CS3 worked just fine but had many issues with Bridge CS3. So frustrating that the $$ to upgrade to CS4 seem worth it. Mostly works OK with the following exceptions:
1. Sometimes the file menu selections are non-selectable grey including fundamental functions like Open and Exit not even clicking on the x will allow PS to close! I found a workaround, I can select a tool that is not currently selected (like the crop or brush) and now the menu items appear.
2. The Arrange Documents drop down menu is blank except for the lower text portion. All icons are missing. Roll over text popup shows what is supposed to be on the menu but no icons.
3. I have setup Bridge CS4 to auto start at logon. Works OK but sometimes for whatever reason stays busy after I close. Task Manager shows Bridge using up to 25% of CPU time and the program is not even open!
5. I purchased a couple Canon EOS 50Ds as backup cameras for our business. Worked last week with CS3 and Bridge with Raw 4.6 upgrade. Does not work with RAW 5.0 in CS4bummer!

I had the same problem with blank/missing "Arrange Documents" icons. And I use NIK and OnOne plugins (CS4 & Vista). These plugins are all supposed to be compatible with CS4 and I use them ALOT - so I refused to remove them. Today I also started having a problem with an error re: needing to install a printer before I could select print functions.
I found the answer to both problems!! While researching the error message I found information from Adobe support stating that you should:
1. Quit Photoshop
2. Vista: Rename the Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Adobe Photoshop CS4 Settings\Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.psp file to Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.old
Windows XP path: Documents and Settings/[username]/Application Data/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS4/Adobe Photoshop CS4 Settings/Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.psp
3. Start Photoshop - it will create a new preferences file.
My print error message is gone AND I have Arrange Documents icons!!!

Compatibility issues between PS3.0 and Windows Vista

Have PS3 for Windows XP. Have had it a while and it wouldn't load on my old computer because the harddrive didn't have enough space. Now trying to load it on to HP Pavilion bought last spring. When I tried to load it, I got the error window with: compatibility issues with this software. Windows didn't find a solution. Went to adobe.com and tried update for PS3.0 which I thought should work. it said 3.0.1. Won't work. What am I missing? Am I missing anything? Will Adobe work as I want it to work? As it's supposed to work?

Well, it's not "supposed" to work in Vista. The earliest version of Elements that officially works in Vista is 5, with the special patch. However, some people have had success running earlier versions in XP compatibility mode.
