Issue loading to BPC Profitcenter Dimension from BW infoobject

Hi,
I am trying to to load the Profitcenter master data from BW to BPC using the standard Package. I created a simple transformation file that just mapps the ID . However when I validate the transformation the Log appears as No master data for source InfoObject 0PROFIT_CTR exists . But there are profitcenters in BW

0PROFIT_CTR is authorization enable in BW, Is that what restricting from acessing the data from BW?? if that's the case How can we make this load happen??

Hi Sanjay,
Do you have your BPC user ID mapped to BW user ID? If you have, then assign Profit Center authorization to your ID. Otherwise assign it to BPC_* ID under which that load is running. I think that ID depends how the DM Package is defined.

Hello Gurus,
I'm trying to load master data for BPC Dimensions from BW Infoobjects.
The ID thats used in BW is 32 char long. When I run the load, the ID is truncated after 20 chars and the records are reported as duplicates.
Due to this the load is failing.
I cannot use any other ID as the texts will not be loaded in that case.
Is there any work around to handle this?
I cannot load the transaction data either.
I looked at some posts and blogs in sdn, but nothing really helped.

I tried using a additional Dimension property to hold the 32 char ID. But I cannot access this in the transformation.
Is there a way to refer the dimension property in the Transformation file or in the UJD_ROUTINE BADI implementation?

Issues with loading master data and hierarchy from BI InfoObject

Hi,
I was successful with loading the master data from BI InfoObject. It copies the text node as well but it discards the space I have in the technical name when it copies it to BPC. For example if my Text Node technical ID is "NODE 1" it copies it as "NODE1" on BPC side because of which my hierarchy load fails as it is not able to find "NODE 1".
What is the reason it deletes the space from technical ID? and how can I resolve this issue?
Do we have a provision to write a ABAP exit where I can check?
(PS: If i manuallay enter space on my BPC dimension the hierarchy loads successfully)

Loading key and/or description from BW into BPC

Dear all,
We have the requirement to load master data from BW into BPC 10 NW (SP4) and are facing some difficulties.
Depending on the property, we want to do the following:
- Load the attribute key into BPC property
- Load the attribute description into BPC property
- Load both concatenated using an underscore into BPC property
The loading process as such works and the concatenation would aswell, but so far I'm only able to load the keys into BPC. In the BW table I can see that the attribute has both a key and a description but I don't know how to select the description in BPC (either through transformation file, set selection, ...). Is there a standard functionality to select between a key and a description in BPC 10 or do I have to ask the BW-team to make an additional attribute with the description as a key?
Same goes for loading the member ID's and member descriptions for a specific dimension. There we want to fill the member ID in BPC with the BW description and use another BW description to fill the member description in BPC.
Any advice/input would be greatly appreciated!

I have the same problem and I don't know how to solve it.
While loading master data into BPC InfoObjects (or as called in BPC jargon "Dimensions") I found out, that it is possible to load the Attribute ID's relatetd to the InfoObject, while it is not possible to load the corresponding descriptions.
Actually I cant help you with my post. But atrouble shared is a trouble halfed
I would be pleased if somebody could offer any solution to this problem

Text Loading in BPC from BW

Hello Experts,
I am loading BPC Dimension using BW INFOOBJECT 0COSTCENTER. The Data manager runs successfully.
Issue:
In the dimension the text gets loaded with Infoobject name instead of the actual text as exist in BW.
In SLG1 Transaction in back end i see an message against the cost Center member that got loaded with Info object Name as follows:
Eg cost Center 100D got loaded with Infoobject Name as 0costcenter instead of the desc as in BW.
100D E" changed in table /B28/TO4DCK98 (with master data attribs only in version M)

please check at bw info object - 0costcenter have text data or not.
at SE11 check table - /BI0/tcostcenter.
Ask bw consultant whether bw team loaded text data to 0costcenter by using data source 0costcenter_text or not, if not then ask them to maintain text data.
later you can do reload 0costcenter data to BPC dimension.

Webi report: Issue Cannot retrieve dimensions from Cube

Hello Experts, We're facing an issue with a partical set of Webi reports in Quality environment. The reports are BW reports based on OLAP BICS connectivity on top of Bex queries.y Below is the scenario and the issue: 1. The backed Bex queries have been trasported to Quality BW system and they're running fine when run from RSRT or Bex analyzer. 2.The Webi reports along with the BICS connections have been migrated to the Quality box and the BICS connections have been editied so that they point to the Quality BOX bex queries and they're testing and responding to the connection successfully. 3. The Webi reports pointed to the Dev Box in the Dev BOBJ system are working fine, but when the same reports for which the connections were repointed in Quality as above, are giving the error "Cannot Retrieve Dimensions from Cube". Steps taken: a. Deleted the reports and the BICS connection from Quality environment and remigrated the reports,connecitons and changed the connecitons but still the issue persists. b.Tried finding the root cause and got the following issue in the Bex query in Quality: There are filters put in the Bex query . All other filters are working fine except 0CALMONTH. We tried putting all sorts of variables on 0CALMONTH, but the moment a variable is put on 0CALMONTH, this issue occurs. But when we tried removing the variable from 0CALMONTH in filters and restricted it to a single value, the Report works fine. However the same is not an issue in the Dev Box and all queries with similar variables are working fine. So we're thinking this might be an issue on the BW backend and the cube might have to be transported again to the Quality Box. ANy quick suggestions or inputs on this would be greatly appreciated. Issue in migrating dimension from EPMA

Hi,
I have been trying to migrate an EPMA shared dimension from UAT to Dev. New members were created in Dev. But the properties, alias names were not updated. I am migrating the Shared Library dimensions using LCM EPM Architect in Foundation.
Is there a step I am missing?

First, Please validate that the properties are truly not getting updated (manually extract them via the File Generator).
Then, I would recommend making a copy of the app, toggling one of the dimensions that isn't migrating properly to Local, and then extracting that from the file generator (as a comparison) - and see if those properties are different than what you expect.
Lastly, I would do 2 things:
1. LCM the 'local' copy over to the target environment
2. Extract hierarchies in target using the file generator to confirm the properties truly are not being updated.
The trick with EPMA is that it keeps multiple copies of members in the relational repository, what I am trying to get you to do is see if a single copy is broken. EPMA 11.1.2.0 is overall less stable than 11.1.1.3.xx, 11.1.1.4.xx and 11.1.2.1+
Also, make sure the properties were set for your appropriate product... Essbase BSO, Essbase ASO, Planning, etc. Each set of properties has a different header and cannot be used across products

Power BI performance issue when load large amount of data from database

I need to load data set from my database, which have large amount of data, it will take so many time to initialize data before I can build report, is there any good way to process large amount of data for PowerBI? As I know many people analysis data based
on PowerBI, is there any suggestion for loading large amount of data from database?

Performance issues with SAP BPC 7.0/7.5 (SP06, 07, 08) NW

There are some performance issues with SAP BPC 7.5/7.0 NW, users are saying they are not getting data or there are some issues while getting data from R/3 system or ECC 6.0. Then what things do I need to consider to check, such as what DataSources or Cubes I need to check? So, how to solve this issue?

Hi,
New SP was released in February, and now most of the new bugs should been caught ,This has a Central Note. For SP06 it's Note 1527325 - Planning and Consolidation 7.5 SP06 NetWeaver Central Note to fix any issues. Most of the improvements in SP06 were related to performance, especially when logging on from the BPC clients.There you should be able to find a big list of fixes/improvements and Notes that describe those. Some of the Notes even have test description how to reproduce that issue in the old version.

You can download the latest avaiable kernel or just the librrfc component from http://service.sap.com/swdc. They maybe an issue with this DLL. Just download the latest one and copy into \usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\exe\run directory. Be sure to save the previous DLL.

Issue with VO extension after upgrading from 11i to R12

We are facing issue with VO extension after upgrading from 11i to R12(12.1.3).
Most of the cases we are facing issue as given below,
oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: oracle.jbo.AttributeLoadException: JBO-27022: Failed to load value at index 21 with java object of type java.lang.Boolean due to java.sql.SQLException.

Combining relation facts with dimensions from an Essbase cube

Hi!
I am having trouble combining relational measures (from EBS) with dimensions from an Essbase cube. The dimensions that we want to use for reporting (drilling etc) are in an Essbase cube and the facts are in EBS.
I have managed to import both the EBS tables and the cube into OBIEE (11.1.15) and I have created a business model on the cube. For the cube I converted the accounts dimension to a value based dimension, other than that it was basically just drag and drop.
In this business model I created a new logical table with an LTS consisting of three tables from the relational database.
The relational data has an account key that conforms to the member key of the accounts dimension in the Essbase cube. So in the accounts dimension (in the BMM layer) I mapped the relational column to correct column (that is already mapped to the cube) - this column now has two sources; the relational table and the cube. This account key is also available in the LTS of my fact table.
The content levels for the LTS in the fact table have all been set to detail level for the accounts dimension.
So far I am able to report on the data from the fact table (only relational data) and I can combine this report with account key from the account dimension (because this column is mapped to the relational source as well as the cube). But if expand the report with a column (from the accounts dimension) that is mapped only to the cube (the alias column that contains the description of the accounts key), I get an error (NQSError 14025 - see below).
Seeing as how I have modeled that the facts are connected to the dimension through the common accounts key, I cannot understand why OBIEE doesn't seem to understand which other columns - from the same dimension - to fetch.
If this had been in a relational database I could have done this very easily with SQL; something along the lines of select * from relational_fact, dim_accounts where relational_fact.account_key=dim_accounts.account_key.
Error message:
[nQSError: 14025] No fact table exists at the requested level of detail

Avneet gave you the beginnings of one way, but left out that a couple of things. First, you would want to do the export of level zero only. Second, the export needs to be in column format and third, you need to make sure the load rule you use is set to be additive otherwise the last row will overwrite the previouse values.
A couple of other wats I can think of doing this
Create a replicated partition that maps the 3 non used dimensiosn to null (Pick the member at the top of the dimension in your mapping area)
Create a report script to extract the data putting the three dimensions in the page so they don't show up.
Use the custom defined function jexport in a calc script to get what you want

How to clear dimension from members?

I have a question:
How can I clear dimension from members after maintain of it?

Open the OLAP Worksheet from Analytic Workspace Manager and just issue the command from previous post:
maintain your_dimension_name delete all
you also need to update and comit the changes
update
commit
that's it, the dimension is totally clear.
Or you can export dimension to XML template, delete the dimension and then reimport it from the template.

How to remove dimension from report

Dear All,
I have created a report using Drag and Drop option as explained in the following link with 2 dimensions in rows and 1 dimension in column. Now I would like to remove one of the dimension from existing report. As explained in the below link I could not able to see the option called Remove Dim from design mode as well as preview mode.

SAP Help: To remove a dimension, right-click on the dimension name block and select Remove Dim. You can remove dimensions only when more that one exists on either your columns or rows.
Please, can anybody shed some light on this issue.

Is it possible to call the members of the CFMapping dimension from a EVDRE?

I am working with the application Cashflow. This application uses the dimension CFMapping to match the dimension CFAccount with the dimension Account, when the package "Cash Flow Recalculation" is run. I would like to know how could I call the members of the CFMapping dimension from a report. When I try to do this,the EVDRE shows the following error message: #ERR: Invalid CFMAPPING, col# 1.

Hi Mehul,
I have already checked this but it still doesn't work. The dimension CFMapping is not contained in any application, in BPC administration I checked this in the application folders. I think that the CFMapping dimension is only used to support the execution of the package I mentioned in the first message, and that is why I have problems to call it's members from a report using the normal procedure.
