Issue logging to infoview after siteminder webagent re-registration
Hi All,
We are on BOXIR2 SP5 ,IIS.We have configured Siteminder in our environment.
We have recenty re-registered the webagent in our boxi server,we did as we moved the policy stores location to new LDAP server.
Now when we login to infoview we get "Your security context could not be verified. Please close your browser and try again. If this problem persists, contact your system administrator." error.
1)We have Ensured that the authentication definition in the CMC is pointing to the same Site minder Policy Server as the one defined for the Web Agent.
2)We have restarted the web agent service.
3)Also confirmed if there are any multiple keys in Site minder Policy Server admin console.
4)Checked for the availability of the dll ISAPI6WebAgent.dll under IIS Manager >> Web Service Extensions.
We have other BO server that is configured to use the new policy store and it is working fine.
Could you please let us know where to troubleshoot.
Thanks
Bill
thank you

I am having trouble viewing iStore. It appears as if its a Flash issue, as several minutes after logging in to iStore I get a non-flash page of iStore in my iTunes window. I have re-installed everything and tried opening all ports in router, and used msconfig to bring up each service individually to see if there is an effect.Flash and iTunes have been re-installed ...any ideas?
I agree. I don't rely on iCloud as a backup, that is what I have my portable hard drive for. Its 500 GB so I can hold my entire iTunes library several times over on it. I have all my movies on my hard drive, but somehow "The Mist" got deleted off of my hard drive, so I figured "Well, the option to redownload an already purchased movie is available through iCloud, I'll just do that!"
And permissions and download availability have nothing to do with it, the movie's still there, it still allows me to redownload it. The only problem is when I click download, I get that message.
And nobody else uses my computer, but I do have multiple accounts authorized on it. Even still though, I am attepmpting to download it through the account I purchased it under. :/ -
HTTP 404 issue whenSSO to InfoView using WindowsAD
Dear all,
I got the same issue as Mark Richardson (please read below). I was able to implement this SSO to InfoView using Java SSO (aka Vintela, Kerberos) with Authentication: Windows AD in QA environment. But now in Prod after putting all the settings i got error HTTP 404 like Mark's case below.
I got 'Credentials obtained' in stdout. And i was able to get a ticket when running kinit. But when client browser tried to open the InfoView URL, i got that HTTP 404 error.
I've applied all the required settings on client browser as per Tim Ziemba (and also OSS Note).
Any idea what could be the issue?
WinAD SSO errors for JAVA InfoView after SP3
WinAD SSO errors for JAVA InfoView after SP3
======================================================================================================
I had successfully deployed the WinAD SSO configuration for both the .NET and JAVA InfoView as documented in the SAP materials provided by Tim Ziemba and Miles Escow.
Yesterday, I applied the new BOE-XI (R-3.1) Service Pack 3 on our DEV server...and accepted the RE-DEPLOY WebApplications option during the install.
The .NET WinAD SSO is working 100% OK at http://<servername>/InfoViewApp/logon.aspx
However, after I updated all the server.xml and web.xml files as required for the Tomcat55 folders that were overwritten by the service pack - I am getting 404 "The requested resource is not available" errors for both the LogonService and the LogonNoSso.
http://<servername:8080>//InfoViewApp/logon/logonService.do
http://<servername:8080>/InfoViewApp/logonNoSso.jsp
If I comment-out the REALM and FILTER MAPPING sections that are mentioned on Pages 17 and 18 of Tim Ziemba's "Complete" document then I get a Manual Login Screen that works - but no SSO.
Is it possible that the logonService.do and logonNoSso.jsp are broken by BOE-XI (R-3.1) Service Pack 3, and is there any way to get those components back...?Hi Aswin,
Vintela libraries changed in SP3. Usually a 404 error means:
- Typo in any of the xml tags (you can check opening it in IE)
- Typo in the SPN (cannot be found). However, you mention seeing in stdout.log "credentials obtained" so it looks that's fine
- If you are using keytab, comment those lines in web.xml and use the password in Tomcat > Java
If nothing mentioned above solve the issue, I will suggest you to enable debug in Tomcat and post here the stdout.log

Can not log into Infoview with Windows AD credentials
Hi,
I am using CRS 2008 V1 SP3. I migrated all my AD users from XIR2 to 2008 version recently. I also mapped the AD users correctly and most of my windows AD users are able to log into infoview except some users. I checked those users exist in CMC user list. They also have no problem logging in with their Enterprise password. I even deleted the AD member groups and added again in Windows AD auth in CMC. Also restarted the CMS and the machine itself but NO LUCK. I dont understand why there's problem with only those few users. One of the user recently changed her password..so my another assumption is may be her token is lost...but it should fix when i restarted the machine. Please help!!!ok that means the primary issue is with the servercie account ort AD. To eliminate the service account in the CMC > auth > windows AD > change the setting from kerberos to NTLM and test client tools again. Fail mean the problem is with the user or AD, success means the problem is with the service account or kerberos.

Performance issues logging on to Workspace 11.1.2.1
Hi All,
We have a distributed install of 11.1.2.1 (2 HSS, 3 PLN, 3HFM, 3 Workspace, 2 FDM servers) and facing significant performance issues:
- Logging on to the Workspace as an external user takes 5 min
- Logging on to the AAS console as an external user takes over 2 min
- Opening HBRs in AAS takes a couple of minutes
- Logging on to HSS as an external user takes over a min
Logging on as a native user takes around 30 seconds.
We have disabled compoments we do not use under the Workspace server properties and applied patch Set Exception (PSE): 13327628 which addressed the following perfomance issues:
• 12913216 – Intermittent login error is observed while attempting to log into EPM System Workspace. Workspace displays the error message “You must supply a valid User Name and Password to log onto the system.” However, user can log in by clicking OK.
• 13341789 – Poor login performance (delay of 3-5 minutes) is observed at the first user login if Workspace web application has been inactive for an hour. Subsequent login performance is not impacted.
• 13388864 – In deployments where a firewall is configured to time out idle applications (for example, after 30 minutes) users can login once, but subsequent login times out.
In Shared Services we have also set Evict Interval and Allowed Idle Connection Time to 5 mins.
Is there anything else we could try to improve performance?
Thanks for your help.
Regards
SebIf you already have deactivated the non used services from WS, it's weird. As I can see you may be using an external directory for authenticating, check on these.
* have you checked the response time from the external directory... sometimes for example in Active directory the user hierarchy is too complex to navigate on it. you can use an LDAP tester to see
* Are you using SSL? if yes, try wtihout SSL
* For workspace Start the non used services, and activate back the services in the WS to see if there it improves with all the apps up ( this will help you to narrow the debugging)
* go directly to java based servers, for instance in the shared services server go directly to the port 28080 for interop, instead of going by http server and check if you can login quick or not. This will help you also to isolate the issue (if it's related or not to Workspace).
Hope this help u to narrow your search

mozilla firefox start page keeps logging itself on after I close all internet windows I come back and there it is. Why??? Make it stop.
I've got the exact same issue! I'm pretty sure it just started today too. It's so bizarre because we've all been using Firefox 26.0 for at least a month, right? How could the ''about:home'' page all of a sudden cause this issue?
I've been able to replicate this issue on a virtual machine running Windows XP SP3, so clearly it has nothing to do with Windows 7. -
Problem logging into infoview crystal reports server X1
Hi, i'm trying to move our crystal server to another server but am running into issues.
Our server is Windows 2003 R2 SP2
we use Active directory authenication.
when logging into infoview the follow error appears.
An error has occurred: An unknown error has occurred.
http://ctcvicrs01/businessobjects/Enterprise11/InfoView/error.aspx?aspxerrorpath=/businessobjects/Enterprise11/InfoView/logon.aspx
Strange thing is if you clear the error part of the url
http://ctcvicrs01/businessobjects/Enterprise11/InfoView/
and hit refresh it logs you in fine.
any ideas?Typical owners of Crystal Reports Server do not have access to the above mentioned Business Objects ESD (Electronic Software Delivery) site to download software/patches. These customers are usually small to mid market customers that have to purchase the product from our partners/resellers. Only actual customers that purchase directly from Business Objects get access to ESD. This is the reason why there was a special CR XIR2 Server SP2 patch that used to be available for download on the publicly available http://technicalsupport.businessobjects.com website. Unfortunately that site now redirects to the new SAP site. That all being said, I have also run in to the issue with searching the new SAP download site not returning any results for SP2. This was a few weeks ago, and I just figured they were not finished getting all the files categorized and available for download yet. I will follow up internally and see if I can get this issue resolved.
Stay tuned for more details.

Logged Timecode Changes after Batch Capture
I'm working with the Kona 3 and the Panasonic D5 (HD3700B)
I'm having a problem with FCP changing my logged clip TC after Batch Capture in 720p 59.94. This problem only occurs in 720p mode, 1080i is just fine.
While capturing 720p 59.94 from the D5
In FCP when I log a clip at:
01:20:00:00 in
01:20:30:00 out
After Batch Capture is complete the clip shows up in the browser as:
01:19:55:05 in
01:20:25:05 out
FCP is effectively changing the logged timecode of the clip. I'm capturing with burned in TC and the Burned in TC is Frame accurate, but why is FCP changing the clip's TC?
In all my experience with FCP I have never encountered this issue and I am completely puzzled. I've contacted AJA and they have said that they do not know of this issue and were puzzled also. I am using a Tri-Level Sync and everything seems to be getting proper reference.
There is no reason why FCP should be changing my logged clip settings. (right?) Also, I tried a test where I made the clip that came in with the bad timecode offline, and then ran a Batch Capture again, and it changes the logged timecode even further. I've tried a variety of Device Control settings playing with frame offset etc with all having the exact same numeric result (see TC above).
Anyone who has any insight or similar experience your thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help
Ted - Editor, NYCThe BITC matches the original Logged TC (even though the logged TC changes after capture)
Logged TC (Media Start/End in FCP)
01:20:00:00, 01:20:30:00
Captured TC (Media Start/End in FCP)

Burned in TC Captured (Viewable on Video File)

I'm very curious about what yourlooking at on the deck manual. Page 145??? I don't see a page 145. It's been my understanding that the Monitor HD-SDI does produce the 720p 59.94 signal, and that's what all my monitors and Kona say that their getting.
Also, could you clarify your last sentence.
*"Forgive my guessing but this deck looks like it really wants to work in 1080 and 720 is kind of there to step up from 8 bit DVCPro HD."*
I dont think that its a 23.98 issue and our source tape is not 23.98, even still if it was, it shouldn't effect the logged TC.... but I'll try it in the morning, could'nt hurt.
Update: A person over the phone at Apple "didn't" (did) say over the phone that upgrading to 5.1 (universal) would improve 720p capabilities.
So the next step will be giving more money to Apple for Universal and installing the new Kona drivers released yesterday.....and then let the testing fun begin again.
Thanks so much for your help, please let me know where to find that info in the D5 (3700B) manual. Cheers. -
Active monitoring logs randomly clearing after CU5
After performing the Exchange 2013 update to CU5, we have been noticing that some of the active monitoring logs are randomly clearing. Specifically the Throttling Config, Responder Definition, Monitor Definition, Probe Definition, and Maintenance
Definition logs. The only correlation I can find is in the Startup Notification logs I see an event every time the logs are cleared starting the Local endpoint manager. I looked back prior to CU5 and this event occurred infrequently, and accompanied by a handful
of other startup events, now it seems to be running by itself intermittently. It isn't happening at any consistent time or date range. Sometimes we will have 2 in one day, other times it will wait 2 or 3 days to clear. Default behavior even if the log
is full would be to overwrite old logs rather than perform a log clear, but I'm looking at the log and even after a full days worth there's barely 100 events in any given log. I reviewed the logs and there's no indication of trouble, no
errors or warnings. Is anyone else seeing this behavior on exchange?Hi Theantioch,
From the release notification of Exchange Server 2013 CU5, CU5 includes a Managed Availability probe configuration that is frequently restarting the Microsoft Exchange Shared Cache Service in some environments. The service is being added to provide
future performance improvements and is not used in Cumulative Update 5. More information is available in
KB2971467. As of Exchange Server 2013 Cumulative Update 5, this notice and the frequent restarts of the managed availability process are
considered not to be a concern. Our issue could be related to the frequent restart. And we can safely ignore the problem. Thanks for your understanding.

Mac OS X keeps logging me out after startup!!
Hello!
I need help! I shutdown my computer last night and when I tried to login again this morning, it keeps logging me out
after I signed in.
After successful authentication, I can see the desktop for 1 second and then .. it signed off automatically and return to the authentication window.
I tried safe mode, file repairs...
I created myself another admin account in single-mode (remove the .AppleSetupDone file in /db and I'm able to use that admin account
to log without any issues!
a) How can I check my original admin account for errors?
b) Where can I see the startup error log for that account?
c) How can I disable all startup items for that account?
d) or .. any thoughts?
Thank you in advance!Launch the Console utility and look for messages that might explain the problem.

About Flashback malware
Back up all data, if you haven't already done so.
Select ▹ Software Update to install the latest Java update (if Java is already installed) or the Flashback malware removal tool (if Java is not installed under Lion), as well as any other available updates. Installing either of those items should clear the infection in most cases. You must update to the latest version of Mac OS X 10.6 or 10.7 before you can install the Java update.
The removal tool runs automatically in the background and is then deleted. Don’t look for something to click. If the malware is removed, you’ll be notified.
After you’ve secured your system — not before — change every Internet password you have, starting with banking passwords, and check all financial accounts for unauthorized transactions. -
Hard Drive dead? - Failed to Issue COM RESET successfully after 3 attempts.
Hello, i think my 13" 2.53Ghz Unibody (mid2009) MBP's hard drive has had it's last spin. I was using it normally in bootcamp, when windows7 froze, so I rebooted holding the power button....windows wouldnt start any more...ok, so i tried to boot into OSX...stuck at the loading screen with the apple.
Went into verbose mode and it stops at "Failed to issue COM RESET successfully after 3 attempts. Failing..." Google says this has to do with the hard drive.
Did a extensive hardware test (boot + D), all OK, booted from install disk and tried to run disk utility, but it crashed when trying to locate the drives (didn't even list the drive on the right pane). Single User mode wont load either, will give the same COM RESET message. I am literally out of options here.
Is there something i can do to either fix this or verify 100% that my hard disk is truly dead?
I have a backup in timemachine so the data is ok, but the timing couldnt be worse, i have no time to fix this now and needed a working laptop, highly frustrating.
thanks for any tipsnobrex wrote:

Welcome to the Apple Forums!
Your HDD is probably dead, since the error doesn't appear to indicate something wrong with the motherboard. Just buy a new 2.5" HDD. I don't know about prices in Brazil, but here in the US, a 1TB drive runs for around US$100. Also, check on eBay for people who upgraded their drive and are selling their Apple drive. Some will ship to Brazil, and you can score those for $50-100.
I hope you backed up your hard drive. If not, you'll have to do the whole reinstallation process. -
[solved] pm-utils, how to run a script as logged-in user AFTER resume
All the scripts in /etc/pm/sleep.d are run as root. Is there any way for me to put a script such that it runs as my logged-in user AFTER all the scripts in /etc/pm/sleep.d. I tried putting su -c "command" - <username> but that doesn't have the full user environment, hence dbus session bus doesn't work yet.
EDIT: Solved: see solution by lucke below.
Last edited by ngoonee (2009-11-14 20:40:50)It might help to know what command you're having trouble with--perhaps there's a better/easier way to execute it.
The scripts in /etc/pm/sleep.d are called in numeric order during suspend. That is, if you have a script titled 44-myfix-for-foo, it will run before a script titled 88-myfix-for-bar. These scripts are then executed in reverse order upon resume. -
