Issue on Japan Softbank Model

I'm having a flash lite app developed for FL 2.0, and am
using a softbank 910SH to test.
The app was working fine on a Symbian 6680, but now trying it
for the first time on the 910SH (closer to my target audience) I
receive the error "Disconnected" with a big red X. This happens
anytime the application tries to download data. I wonder if anyone
else has seen this error, and what causes there might be?

I can't believe such an old thread hasn't been answered yet. I'm having this exact problem with one of my apps and it's frustrating. All i want to do is make price quotes for each currency followed by few words in its language on the fly for my forex trading website. Once i added the japanese yen, everything went south. Is it the japanese thingy what causes such dilemma? Why on earth am i seeing this annoying error? Anyone? I need that app fixed urgently because it affects my readership convenience. Any help is appreciated.

The first and most important problem is to understand Clients requirement. Clients even some time not aware of how to utilize efficiency of BW, as they are very much use to with traditional SAP R/3 reporting. So most of time we have to suggest options to client.
If we come to technical aspect, than identifying Key Figures and Characterstics is the most important task. And how you map that to available infoobjects. Attributes also plays major roles, like which attributes is better to use as navigational one and which as exclusive attribute.
Their is long list for data modelling issues, its better you refer either Mastering BIW book by Mac'Donalds. And SAP Help Library is also having good material.

Issue while creating Data Model in BI Publisher and logging into xmlpserver

We are facing an issue in OBIEE 11.1.1.5.
If we are logging with Non Admin Id (other than weblogic) and select New Data Model, a blank screen is coming. Where as, if we use Admin Id, we are getting screen as usual for creating data model. There were some blogs mentioning to change Priviledges for SOAP access, but that approach is also not working.
Further, we are also not able to open xmlpserver with Non Admin Id.
Any help or pointers would be great.

Issue in invalidating the model output node

Hi All,
I have a problem in invalidating the model output node. Below is the description of my approach and problem statement.
REQUIREMENT: We have had the requirement to develop a custom WD java application in MSS which will fetch the appraisal data for each employee selection.
APPROACH: To acheive the same, I have developed the custom WD java application and have associated it with the Standard Employee Search application. I have established the eventing between both the applications, such that on each employee selection in Employee Search, I get the PERNR for the selected employee.
 I have mapped a local valude node to the UI elements of my custom application. I am having TWO RFCs; one to Read data based on PERNR and the other to Update/Save to R/3.
 I read the RFC based on PERNR and save it to local value node which is binded to the UI elements. If the end user is editing the read data, I am passing the entire local value node to the Save RFC import parameter on click of Save button in my application.
 Every thing is working as expected. I am able to Read and Save the data and its also updating the backend. But, in the same session, if I go back to the previously selected employee for whom the updation has happened, i am not able to see the new data.
 Only when I refresh the session, I see the new data on employee selection. When I try to invalidate the Read Output Model node, on Save button, I do not see anything happening. The Read Output Model node always holds the old value.
 I have currently binded the Read model output node to a table in the view to see what it holds in runtime. And what I see is , its always having the old record for the same employee, in the same session even after invalidating the same on Save button.
I request you all to pleae try to understand the issue and let me know as how to get the new values in the same session.

When you are executing the read rfc ?? At the time of executing the read rfc try to bind the new object every time you execute and see what happens.
Like..
wdContext.node<READ_RFC_NODE>().bind(OBJECT of READ RFC);
then execute it.
Is there some kind of table which shows the employees and on selection you are showing the data? Can you give some more input on how you are reading the data?

Issue with Account Assignment Model - FI - GL Account

We are facing an issue while trying to post F-02, by selecting an account assignment model. This issue started when we updated the Production client with Support Packs (SP-12 and SP13)..this weekend.
While going for F-02, and selecting Account Assignment Model. A message Pop up with the following information - " Screen template VNU06 of acct assignmnt model Changed"..
_In the HELP Screen the following details are appearing :-_**
Screen template VNU06 of acct assignmnt model changed.
Message no. FX260
Diagnosis :-
The entry screen VNU06 of the selected account assignment template has been changed inappropriately.
System Response:-
The account assignment template can only be loaded when screen VNU06 has been corrected.
Procedure:-
If entries exist for a screen variant, the relevant entry screens must contain all fields that have already been filled (technical note: In this case, at least field AUFNR on screen VNU06 is missing).
Carry out the following activities:-
Add the fields to screen VNU06 (In the following transaction, choose Posting -> Account Assignment Template
Proceed)
Only then can you assign a new screen to the account assignment template or delete the fields not required.
1.) Interestingly i went and check whether any value is there in field (AUFNR - ORDERS) in the Table KMZEI...No Value is seen.
2.) Also this field (AUFNR) is not selected in the VNU06 Screen varient templete, by us.
Please help us.. This being a Critical Issue.. any of your valuable suggestion, is awaited.

Hdmi issue with lenovo g580 model (2689)

hi i have a problem with hdmi on my lenovo g580 model 2689. it seems my tv dosent pick it up but when i first setted it up it worked. it worked for a few days and then stop working. it has intel 2nd generation 2000/3000. when i uninstall the intel control panel and install it again it sometimes work but it has to be saying restart computer for it work but when i restart the computer finish installing it. the hdmi dosent work anymore. when i uninstall it now and reinstall it doesent work that way anymore and it has latest intell driver and control panel but i would like some help please how can i fix it. it had windows 8 and now i have windows 8.1 the issue was happening in windows 8 first but then i upgraded to windows 8.1

it was a software problem. i sent it of for repaire and they say it was a software problem please release an update to fix that issue.

External drive issue with late 2010 model 27" imac

I'm having trouble getting a Seagate Freeagent Go 2.5" 1TB to mount with the new 27" model imacs (11,3).
At first I thought that maybe it wasn't supplying enough power but after buying an external powered hub it still won't mount.
It must be something to do with the newest model since I have an early 2010 model imac which works fine with the drive.

A rule i usually live by when purchasing externals, is to firstly check the file format (many are factory formatted in NTFS or FAT32) and if that is the case then change them to HFS+ using disk utility. That is of course if you intend to only use it with your mac, for example i use an external formatted in FAT32 and it works on Windows and Mac.
Secondly its a good code of practice to make sure the drive spins up, as that is the easiest way to check for a dodgy powersupply.
Thirdly and hopefully finally, if those tips don't work then try mounting it on another mac or pc and see if it is detected in any form, that'll tell you if there is a connection issue.

Handling EDT issues when listening to model events with ModelViewPresenter

I'm planning on using model-view-presenter (passive screen/humble dialog variant) http://martinfowler.com/eaaDev/PassiveScreen.html as the basis for my Swing application.
view <-> presenter <-> model
The view is very thin and dumb and only shows what presenter tells it to. Presenter listens to UI events from the view, updates the model based on them, listens to model update events, and reads view state and updates view state.
I'm now searching for a good practise for handling EDT-threading problem. The model is inherently multithreaded in the sense that we have several threads running concurrently. They for example fetch data from different sources and update the model accordingly. An event is created, presenter listens to it and updates the view.
There's also operations that the user initiates. Those start in EDT, presenter does some actions on the model and possibly updates the view state as a result. If the action is fast, the whole thing can be done in EDT. If the operation takes a long time, the processing needs to jump out of EDT at some point to not block the UI.
When thinking about the events that are created from model due to some background thread, where should we jump back to EDT? There's options:
a) jump to EDT when presenter updates the view
view (EDT) <- presenter (either EDT or other thread) <- model (either EDT or other thread)
b) jump to EDT when moving to presenter layer
view (EDT) <- presenter (EDT) <- model (either EDT or other thread)
a)
- could be implemented by creating an AOP aspect for all View interfaces(?) The aspect would jump to EDT if not there yet always when any method of the interface is called
- if one ModelEvent is received in non-EDT thread in Presenter, and 15 different View setters need to be called to update the view state, causes 15 separate SwingUtilities.invokeLater() calls...problem?
- model events and eventlisteners are straight forward to implement. Presenter and model do not need to be aware of Swing (existence of event dispatch thread)
- Presenter is multithreaded and presenter objects need to be implemented so that threading problems do not occur
b)
- could be implemented for example by creating special model EventListener implementations that jump back to EDT when event is received
- model events and eventlisteners are not as straightforward to do as with a). Somewhere the events need to jump to EDT (event source or listener) and you cannot code just "simple plain" listeners and event sources
- Presenter needs to be aware of Swing (existence of event dispatch thread and need to jump back to it when events come from model) at least in the sense that it uses the correct EventListener implementations
- View interface could still check that thread = EDT when methods are called (using similar AOP) to ensure threading rules are not broken
- Presenter can be single threaded (always in EDT) and presenter implementer does not need to worry as much about threading
- note that above point requires that user-initiated long running operations, that can't be run in EDT, need to jump from EDT the model layer. If view initiates new non-EDT threads (for example using SwingWorker), Presenter still does have multiple threads running on it (although only "one way", from view to model) and needs to be made threadsafe. This is starting to sound bad, but even if Presenter is single threaded only "one way", it may still be easier to implement than presenter that is completely multithreaded?
I think major point in deciding is the difficulty of creating thread safe Presenters. Thread safe code is notoriously difficult to implement and even things that seem trivial at first sight can cause big problems. I can't help thinking that since the application's core is already multithreaded by nature, how much more difficult can it be to make the Presenters thread safe as well? Presenters should be quite simple in any case, can receiving events from model and calling a few setters on the view cause threading problems?
Note that this problem is not limited to programs where background threads update the data....any program where some long running operations are run outside of EDT, and may cause events that are listened to in some presenter, has to solve this issue.
Any views or ideas?

Issue importing Siebel data model into OPM

I am using OPM 10.2 and havaing a issue importing the Siebel data model in to OPM. I also have 10.2 Siebel connector installed on the desktop.
In OPM I cannot see the Siebel --> Import Data Model option in the menu.
Is there any configuration change that need to happen in OPM to do this?

1. Make sure that you have the Siebel Connector 10.2.1 from Oracel Software delivery Cloud (formerly E-Devliery), there was a bug with the earlier 10.2 where the Policy Modeling Plugin was not working.
2. Make sure that the files Oracle.Modeling.Siebel.Exchange.dll, Oracle.Modeling.Siebel.Plugin.dll exist the the Plugins sub-directory of Policy Modeling (default location C:\Program Files\Oracle\Policy Modeling\plugins)
3. Make sure you are using Policy Modeling 10.2
if you need to manually copy the dll's they can be found in the siebel connector download at program files\Oracle\Policy Modeling\plugins\

Issue with CIF Integration model for Transaction data

Hi Gurus,
I have activated the Integration model for PO & PReqs by location wise and i assumed that transaction data is online and we need not to re activate for any new Product / location combination got created in system.
But the issue is that every time a new material got created, we need to deactivate and activate the integration model for Transaction data to get the transaction data into APO.
Is there any way to avoid the following exercise as it is taking very long time for activation.
Please guide me as it is very urgent.

I assume 1,60,000 location products are spread around different locations.
Rather than one Integration Model it is better to have multiple Integration Models.
For example: one for each region like North America, one for Europe, one for Asia (assuming you have countries spread across the world). Or create Intgeration Model by Country.
This way you reduce the number of Products in an Integration Model.
It is very important to have manageable set of Integration Models. Let me give an example - you have some problem hence the single Material Master Integration Model is down (inactive). At that time any PP or PDS transfer will not have the Header or COmponent products transferred to APO (in effect PDS/PPM cannot be transferred). If you are creating or converting Planned Orders they will not transfer to R/3 (as Header product is not part of active intgeration model).
But if you have country spefic or region specific Integration Model - only that country is affected not all.
In fact you should have other integration model (like PDS/PPM, Procurement Relationships, Planned / Production Orders, Sales Orders, Stocks) in same manner i.e. either Country(s) specific or group of countries by region. The risk of models getting inactive or taking too much time to activate after regeneration easily outweighs management of more number of Integration Models (compared to one Global integration model per object).
Hope this gives you some direction.

Some issues when consuming RFC2 model using WebDynpro Java CE 7.11

I'm using Web Dynpro for Java to develop our project. I have issues when I use RFC 2 model to call BAPI function . I already create the RFC 2 model successfully to call one PO BAPI function --- BAPI_PO_GETDETAIL. The whole project build and deploy successfully. At run time, it will call the execute() function of the model object. It also works fine and get the return values.
I just want to get two return objects : PO_Items and PO_Item_Schedules .
So far, every thing works fine. But when I want to iterate the PO_Items node and get each property value of current element, the following error occurs :

I continue this thread because it seems that I have the same problem as the one asked by Wester Wei.
I'm developping an application on NWDS using CE 7.11 (I've learned RFC2 with the tutorial [here|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f0b102ea-efff-2b10-b3aa-d9e84a2c6bb6?overridelayout=true] ). The problem seems to come from the RFC2 Model, but I just import it (and I can't modify it afterwards, because it is a read-only model).
So, you advise to "declare one boolean variable and assign Prnt_Price to that variable." or to "Explicity convert boolean to string.", I think you are right, but I don't know how to do that in my app (in the component controller ?). Therefore, the attribute that occurs the problem is in the context outputs, to I don't know I will be able to affect it before calling the BAPI.
Could you tell me how to fix this problem without modifying the model (because it's read-only) ?

Issue with adaptive RFC model - BAPI

I created a simple web dynpro application (as a DC project in NWDS) which is using a bapi in an adaptive RFC model. I based my developments on the official tutorial from SAP and followed each and every step.
The first view shows a single field and an action button to trigger the bapi call. Based on the value entered (employee number), the other view should display a list of data (addresses).
The problem is that after I press the action button, it doesn't make it to the next view. The animated web dynpro icon shows up briefly but the page stays on the first view.
I've monitored user activity on the back-end (SM04) and noticed some activity for my user after the button is pressed so I assume, there is no connection issue.
Any help to solve that issue will be greatly appreciated!

Printer issue with network printer model # laserjet 4350tn

printjobs of multiple pages is inserting blank pages in the job ex. if its an 6 page job it will mix in 1-2 blank pages in between.
Is it mechanical a setting on the printer itself or the printer properties on the network that is causing it.

after perhaps 1/4 page of print I get an "out of memory" error message.
You are probably using background printing. Your print image is written to a spool file and the keyboard is freed up for your use, while the de-spooler (such as Print Monitor, Espon3 Background, or whatever that printer uses) works in the background, sending your document to the printer.
The out-of-memory message is likely coming from the de-spooler, not the Mac OS. To fix, either allocate more memory to your de-spool program, or print "live" and endure not being able to use the keyboard while your document prints.
I have max ram installed (384MB)
Contrary to what the knowledgebase says, all models and all revisions of Beige G3 can run 3*256 MB RAM, for a maximum of 768 MB total, provided you install the correct 256 MB modules for a Beige or Blue & White G3. There are module height limits for the desktop model, modest ones for the tower, and for all practical purposes none for the All-In-One.
If I boot straight into OS 9, ... the USB port doesn't show up in the port list.
If you are using the same image for Classic and Mac OS 9, you may not have the correct Mac OS 9 drivers for the USB card installed. The simplest fix is to re-install Mac OS 9, taking care to Re-install all Networking items. It is not destructive, and generally takes only a few minutes.

Issue with HR Distribution Model from ECC to CRM

Hello Gurus,
I am replicating employees from the ECC to CRM. I followed the C05 u201CCRM Organizational Model with ERP HR Integrationu201D Best Practice. Initially employees replicated without any trouble from ECC QAS to CRM DEV. The issue came since we also created a replication model from ECC QAS to CRM QAS.
Even dough each replication model has defined each corresponding receiver system (CRD and CRQ), since we created the new distribution model, employees are now only replicating to CRM QAS which was the last created distribution model.
Since we only have data en ECC QAS we have use this same system for the CRD and CRQ. The question here is: Can we only have one distribution model? Is there any way to achieve employee replication also to CRD?
Extra Information: When using PFAL for replicating, I´m using object P and after executing the systems confirms in green the replication for both systems. But when I a search the HRXX in CRD I didn`t find it I just found it in CRQ.

Dear Kumar,
you should not schedule RBDMIDOC before you have done the initial distribution because the most of the idocs will run into error (if new objects are created in ECC the distribution will create correct data in CRM; changes on existing objects will run into error because the object has not been created by distribution of essential data).
Before scheduling the idoc creation from change pointers you should have done the intitial distribution of organizational data and employees using the procedure described in note 363187.
