Issue on Web sharing and XSL files

Hi all,
What are the things to be taken care while we are doing websharing. I have an issue with one of my xMII projects. Everything is working fine on that server except xsl files. It is not getting transformed into HTML at run time. It is showing in XML format instead. I really doubt the problem is with my web sharing, because the same set of files(<b>including XSL file</b>) are working on a different server without any issue.
I have done websharing by right clicking on the folder name, selecting the websharing tab and giving Alias name. Is that ok or anything more as to be done?
Can anyone please trace out the issue.

Hi,
Webroot is still in c:\inetpub\wwwroot, but i set up a new virtual directory to <b>c:\Lighthammer</b> and accessing xMII using the URL http://*...*/Lighthammer
and my project contects using http://*...*/Lh/CompApps/MyProj/HomePage.html
(I have given Lh as the Alias name).
Here, My xMII homepage is working and myProj Homepage is also working fine. Once i calls the HTML pages which contains XSL files, the problem is coming.
Please Note: The same contents is working on our different server without any change.

Web Sharing and vhosts

Hi all
Can some one help with regards to setting up web sharing and vhosts under 10.8.
I have started apache (sudo apachectl start).
I've enabled php and mysql.
I have de hashed (#) Include /private/etc/apache2/extra/httpd-vhosts.conf
I have added my vhost :
127.0.0.1      www.myvhosts.dev
127.0.0.1     myvhost.dev
to the file     /private/etc/hosts
I have also edited the http-vhost.conf file by adding

But typing in www.myvhosts.dev or myvhosts.dev takes me straight to google.
Further more http://localhost and http://localhost/~username
both kick out access errors that I have tried to fix with a user.conf file with
<Directory "/Volumes/MacPro\ RAID/stevenwhiteley/Sites">
    Options Indexes MultiViews
    AllowOverride None
    Order allow,deny
    Allow from all
</Directory>
But nothing works.
Any assistance would be most apprecated.

Either move the content to the /Library/WebServer/Documents
directory or create aliases in that directory for the real files.

Personal Web Sharing and Filemaker Server Advanced

After migrating from FileMaker Server-7 Advanced and installing version-8 Advanced web components (w/Easy Install) and restarting the Mac, Personal Web Sharing refuses to activate. I also cannot access the Filemaker Admin Console to create the FMSA account to register it with the database server.
OSX Console log listed this error below when trying to start Apace with Personal Web Sharing:
Syntax error on line 1 of /Library/FileMaker Server/Web Publishing/web-configuration/WEB-INF/conf/mod_jk.conf:
Cannot load /usr/libexec/httpd/modjkfm.so into server: (reason unknown)
/usr/sbin/apachectl start: httpd could not be started
Line 1 of the mod_jk.file reads:
LoadModule jkfmmodule libexec/httpd/modjkfm.so
What needs to be corrected so I can start web sharing and access the FileMaker Web Publishing Engine in the browser?
Using Mac OSX 10.4.6 on Mac Mini w/Intel dual core

Apache is trying to load modjkfm.so which should be stored in /usr/libexec/httpd, but it isn't.
This file should be installed by the Filemaker Server installer. If it wasn't installed by the Easy Install option, check the other install options to see if it's there.

Is there an issue with home sharing and windows 8? I've tried everything and cant get mine to work.

Setting up Brand New iPad 2 - iTunes Sharing and Getting Files from old iTunes Account

Greetings. I recently purchased an iPad 2 (convert after 20 years of PC use) and have been waiting to set it up until I knew the proper way to proceed. I have multiple questions and am hoping those of you with more Apple experience can help out a convert .
I would like to set it up with a new iTunes account so when my wife gets her iPad 2 next year we can share apps and movies we buy on iTunes. Do you always have to sync your iPad to your PC to get your latest purchases or can you do that via the wireless connection directly on the iPad after the initial set-up?
That said, if one of us buys an app/movie, will we both have to carry it on our iPads or will they store remotely on iTunes or on our PCs? I'm just concerned about maxing out the storage space on the iPad. Do the purchases need to occur on your PC vs. the iPad itself for both to have the app/movie access?
I've also read about iCloud issues and syncing all calendar/contact/etc. accounts if two iPads are set-up with the same Apple ID. What's the best way to initially configure the iPads so that you avoid this headache in the future?
Once I get all this settled and get a new iTunes shared account working, is there any way to get the movies I have in both of our old iTunes accounts into the new shared iTunes account? Can I simply drop them on a jump drive from one PC and place them into an appropriate folder on the new PC that the iPad sync's to if it does in fact need to sync?
Again, appreciate all the help and sorry for all of the confusion and multiple thoughts. I would just like to set this thing up once and for all the right way.

1, you can (re-)download a lot of purchases directly on the iPad without having to connect to your computer - apps and ibooks can be re-downloaded (as long as they remain available), music can be re-downloaded in some countries; tv shows can currently only be re-downloaded in the US. Re-downloading
2, films are a one-time only download, so you can either download it on your computer's iTunes and sync it to your device(s), or if you download it directly on the iPad you will need to then copy it to your computer's iTunes (connect the iPad and do File > Transfer Purchases) so that you can make a backup and copy it to your other iPods, iPads etc.
3, I haven't had any problems with iCloud, but then I don't share my account so it's only my account and contacts on my iPad and iPhone.
4, you can authorise your old accounts on your computer's iTunes (Store > Authorise This Computer) and copy the films onto it : File > Add File To Library - you can't copy or transfer content to a different account (nor can you combine accounts), they will remain tied to the original account
The iPad's manual has some info about syncing and each of the built-in apps (the iBooks app is covered in the manual though it isn't pre-installed, but you can download it for free from the store) - the manual can be downloaded from here http://support.apple.com/manuals/#ipad

Web sharing - viewing html files from Mac to PC

I am creating a website using QuarkXpress. Now I uploaded my html and image folder directly to my Site folder. My client has a PC, but cannot open the http address to view the page. Web sharing is on, also file sharing. What did I miss?? Thanks for your help.
I highlighted websharing in system preferences and gave my client my computer address. But the page does not load?
What's the difference from a remote computer and local IP range? I am confused there???

Web sharing and apache server down

Hi all
Sorry for this noobie question but it's the first time I have this strange behavior
Today I tried to use my MBP (under Lion 10.7.4) outside of my home in a location where web connection was not permitted.
I thought I could continue to work on my web project which is at the moment on a localhost server.
But it was impossible as the web sharing was down and it was impossible to relaunch it through preferences panes.
did I missed something in my Apache config or somewhere else as I am pretty sure that this behavior should be the correct one it should be possible to have the apache server running even if not connected to the web.?
Obviously once returned at home and reconnected to the web all going back at normal.

Finally I found by myself, apparently I my apache server pointed on the port 80 which once disconnected of the web cause to Apache to be down.
Changed the port into 8080 and then no issue anymore the Apache server still on once disconnected of the web

Web Sharing and Apache losing connection?

ok so i just did a fresh install of 10.4 on my server (PowerMac G4 - 350 Mhz) i have set up my web sharing with a few tweaks like turned mod_ssl and installed MySQL. Other than that it's a pretty basic config.
My problem is that i when i start or restart apache everything works and stays that way for hours as I am updating and testing. I go home at night and come back in the morning and i can not access any of my sites nor the local ip of the server (192.168.0.100) or 127.0.0.1
so i restart apache and its back up...
i do have a static IP so I know its not my IP Changing
any ideas on keeping apache alive?

What do the logs have to say about it?
There's nothing anyone here can tell you about why it's stopping - there are just too many posibilities. The server logs, though, might provide some clues.
Check specifically /var/log/httpd/error_log and /var/log/system.log

ConfigPlan.xml | How to change datasource values in .bpel and .xsl files

We have used sql queries inside Transform (XSL) files and also using them in Assign activity,
Now when moving from Development environment to Test Environment, how can we change the
JDBC values by using the ant script, in the configplan.xml file I dont see any place where I can change these
values, is it at all possible, if Yes then how.

Issue with Family Sharing and unshareable apps

My husband and I just upgraded to iPhone 6's with iOS 8.0. Previously, we both used my Apple ID for all app purchases on our old phones. With iOS 8.0, we turned on the Family Sharing feature. We would both like to install the mobile app for our bank (TD (Canada)). With Family Sharing turned on, this app is listed as one of my purchases. However, it is also listed as "unshareable". I can install the app on my phone, but when my husband tries to install the app, he gets a message saying that the app has already been purchased using a different Apple ID and cannot be installed on his phone. Note that on his phone, he does not even see the app under my purchases when he goes to App Store | Updates | Purchased. However, if he searches for the app in the App Store, instead of a "FREE" button, he sees the iCloud download icon.
Has anyone else run into this problem and figured out how to fix it, or is this just an iOS 8.0/iTunes/App Store/iCloud bug? It actually does not make sense that a free banking app would be "unshareable" under Family Sharing in the first place since several members of the same family will most likely use the same bank.

I have the same issue. I spent an hour on the phone with Apple and they don't have a clean fix for it. The issue seems to be with apps that developers have not yet set the Family share-able flag as yes or no. They said that when developers update the flag this will resolve itself. Meanwhile, if in the app store the details of the app under Family Sharing it says "Not Available" it will be an issue. I found a reasonable workaround for this particular issue by hiding the original purchase and "re-purchasing" as follows: Disclaimer/Note: Not all Apps are share-able, (even free ones.) If the app you are trying to deal with is an actual paid for app, you will be buying it again! Better to wait until the core issue gets fixed, unless you are willing to pay for it again.
1. On a PC or Mac, in iTunes, have the original purchaser log in to the iTunes store, then under Quick Links click on Purchased. Click on Apps at the top and find the app that is at issue. (Hint: The apps are not necessarily listed under the obvious app name. I was looking for Colorspot from SherwinWilliams, and found it under SherwinWlliams, not Colorspot.) Once you find the app, hover over it and click on the X in the upper left corner to hide it. Do this for all the apps that are at issue. (See Disclaimer/Note above)
2. On the iOS device that is having the problem, close the App Store app. (If you have many apps at issue you might make a list, or take a screenshot first)
3. On the same iOS device, find the app and delete it. (not ideal but it works!). Once you have all the apps at issue deleted, reboot, and make sure you are logged in to the iTunes store as the secondary "purchaser", (If you are logged in as the original purchaser you probably wouldn't have the issue in the first place, although to me that means going a bit backwards and not really using the Family Sharing program.)
4. Open the App store app, if you started the whole process with an app that wouldn't update, confirm that the app is no longer listed.
5. Search the store for the problem app as though it was a new purchase (at this point it is.) Once found, it should be listed with the "Free" or a "price" icon. If it shows the cloud and download arrow icon the hiding you did in step 1 hasn't updated yet. Wait awhile longer. (Reboot again? Re-log into store again?) (Also note here, that a properly shared app will show the cloud/download arrow icon and would be download-able without issue.) If it shows as Update, it hasn't actually been deleted from the device. If all is well, you should be able to proceed with a typical "purchase" of the item. (See Disclaimer/Note above) If the family member has multiple devices, repeat 2-5 for each device.
If you have multiple family sharing members wanting the app you will have to repeat step 1, hiding the purchase in each iTunes account until all family members have gone through the re-purchase process. After fixing all of their devices, each person can go back into iTunes, click on Account under Quick Links, go to iTunes in the Cloud section, Hidden Purchases line, click Manage, and unhide the hidden apps. This would be important for future sharing when the bugs get worked out.

Size of web pages and inserted files (assets).

Hi, everyone.
As I am optimizing some web pages on my site I would like to see the overall size of each page and individual images displayed on iWeb.
Is there a way to see what the overall size of each page in iWeb will be once finished as well as the size of the presently selected image ? By size I mean uts file size in Kilobytes. I noticed the inspector shows the name of the file once an image is selected but I haven't yet found a way to tell its size or the overall size of the finished page.
Any ideas as to how I can see this information ?

To get any page size do a Command I...
Click the "Media" button to image file sizes along with their original and actual dimensions...
This is really a great suggestion. I will use Firefox to check page sizes from now on.
If the scaled size is much less than the original you need to optimize and reload the image.
Optimization is not just a question of file size. All wasted space and returns should be removed and scripts need to be loaded in the most efficient order.
Title and meta data first, then the main stylesheet followed by "feature only on one page" stylesheets and then any javascript placed in a priority order.
The URLs to the main javascript(s) should be in the head. Scripts for individual items should be placed in the body as near to the bottom as possible.
Avoid inline styles and always use the minified version of scripts when available.
Use relative URLs rather than absolute.
Avoid using javascript for any function which can be created using CSS and try to avoid using javascript for any essentials such as the navigation.
And so on...
I always assumed that iWeb took care of all this. As I published my entire site or individual pages I was under the impression that iWeb was working in the background to ensure the html code was being written properly in what is considered the most ideal way. Is this not the case ?
The theme I am currently using is darkroom and it has a javascript included for navigation. Are you saying that this is not a good choice in terms of optimization ?
I have found apps to complement iWeb that work on SEO. Are there similar apps that can be used to analyze and optimize performance of a web page ?

Class library in a web app and config files

I built some class libraries and included them in a web project. Where do I put configuration files so the class library can access them? no matter where I put it, i keep getting file not found. What I've been doing is having a JSP read the config details and pass it to the class library. Is there another way?

I guess the question is where IT thinks the file is? What code are you using to load it?
I guess what I'm asking is where is the default folder for FileInputStream?The default folder is your runtime working directory. More often than not thats the "bin" directory of Tomcat. Not a great place to go looking for files.
getResource() and all that can be accessed from the JSP but those aren't available to me from within the class libraries. Are you saying you don't have access to a ClassLoader object that you can call getResource or getResourceAsStream on? You should be able to access things in the WEB-INF/classes directory in that way.
Given a web app, my first inclination would be to use the ServletContext.getResourceAsStream method.
Rather than passing in a file name, why not an InputStream, or byte[] ?

WEB-INF and properties files

okay, this may be really naive and maybe i'm missing some key piece of
documentation, but i'm missing something regarding the file structure with
iplanet enterprise 4.1 on solaris.
in my /usr/local/netscape/suitespot there's a docs directory that is the
default docs directory.
I've created a /WEB-INF directory under docs and a /classes directory under
that. I've placed a jay.properties file in the /WEB-INF/classes directory,
but when I try to access that through a servlet instantiated bean, I get an
error from the ResourceBundle call, telling me that it can't load that
properties file.
I have two questions:
1. did i build the WEB-INF directory in the correct place (ie - is this the
standard way of working under the iplanet server) - this doesn't seem to be
supported by the admin server in the sense that i can browse this directory,
when i'd expect that iplanet would build in some basic security around the
WEB-INF directory
2. what do i name and where do i put the properties file? should it be
jay_en.properties? i've tried a number of different scenarios with no luck.

Why would you create a WEB-INF directory on the web tier?
WEB-INF is a directory with a special meaning to the web container. All
of your properties files and such will need to be placed on the
application server tier, in the WEB-INF directory that was automatically
created there. And you can do that just be properly placing them in the
WAR file.

Java Web Start and Policy File

Hi,
I've a problem for Java Web Start (JWS) in working with Policy File.
I like to apply a policy file for a JWS application to fine tune the secuirty setting instead of granting permission in JWS.
For an applet environment, I can apply policy file like this:

However, in JWS environment, I try to apply in JNLP file as below but fail:

There are two problems with what you are trying to do.
First, setting a property PROP=VALUE in the jnlp file does not mean that java will be launched -DPROP=VALUE, instead, javawebstart will call System.setProperty(PROP,VALUE) before your apps main() is called. The difference is, the property will not be set at the time the VM is initialized.
Second, the javaws security policy will not allow you to set arbitrary properties in an unsigned application. Only properties begining with "jnlp." or "javaws." (and possibly a few other specific props known to the native javaws code) can be set in an application unless <all-permissions> is specified and the app is signed.

My workaround to solve flickering issues on Program Monitor and Exported files

I am working with a combo of this effects: Fast Color Corrector, Three Way Color Corrector, Warp Stablizer, MB Cosmo and Neat plugin. Editing 1080p24 .MOV files from GH4 and GH3. WIN 8.1, PP 8.0.1, i7 3770K, 16G and a old GF250. After dozen tests... exporting, reinstalling, converting... I found a workaround to solve the flicker issue in Premiere.
When the playback is set to Mercury Playback Engine Software Only, the issues occurs randomly only with clips that have video effect.
So, I set back to the Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA) and the issue happens only in clips with Warp Stabilizer effect. In these clips, I replace for AE comps and stablize inside AE.

Let me explain somethings... in these clips with Warp Stabilizer effect, the bar render is Yellow but the image freezes with Mercury Playback Aceleration. I think my GPU cant render this. If I try to export, the message error is a generic "Error compiling movie. Unknow error". So, I tried to put any Distort video effect, the bar render now is Red, and I can playback and export, but the flicker issue occurs.
