Issue Playing SCORM Content on iLearning 5.0b

Hey there - anyone else have an issue playing SCORM content on iLearning 5.0b where you have a version of Sun JRE later than 10 and the "Enable next generation Java plugin" setting in its control panel checked (which is the default on install)?
We experienced this issue with OLM and Oracle issued a patch and updated SCORM adapter that fixed the issue for our OLM instance but I can't seem to find anything related to an updated iLearning SCORM adapter.

Having issues playing flash content using Chrome

I have tried installing/reinstalling Flash Plugin several times. I can play content with Internet Explorer. For the same content when using Chrome I get error saysing "Could not load plug-in"

Issue playing movies downloaded from iTunes on TV when linked to computer via HDMI cable.

Recently I purchased the advance digital copy of "Star Trek Into Darkness" as it was it was released just in time for moving some people into another state; we planned to watch it when we rested for the day. After hooking my windows 7 laptop up to a Samsung flatscreen TV using an HDMI cable, iTunes refused to play the movie. It would play when the computer was disconnected from the TV, and the same error would appear when reconnected. The error stated that I had to be connected to an "HDCP compatible device."
Is this some way of iTunes forbidding me from watching movies downloaded from their service when connected to an exterior device? My computer has no issues playing other content, such as netflix, when connected to a TV.
For me it's pointless to buy movies now from iTunes; I feel like I've wasted $20. Why on earth would I want to sit in front of a computer to watch it when there's a TV five times the size available?

Unfortunately, this is due to a lack of HDCP support provided by the TV in use. More information regarding HDCP can be found in the following article.

As an alternative, you can always download the movie in standard definition, which will allow for viewing on non-HDCP devices.
When you purchase an HD video on a supported device or computer, only HD video will be downloaded. To download the SD version, you need to download the video again from your Purchased page. Conversely, if you purchase an HD video on an unsupported device, the SD version will be downloaded. Then, you will need to download the HD version from your Purchased page. OLM SCORM content issue with FLash Player 9 Active X version 9.0.115

Hi,
Does any one have issue completing SCORM online content (flash object) via OLM with FLash Player 9 Active X version 9.0.115 using IE? I have same problem also via mozilla.
I have two computer one with 9.0.45 and one with 9.0.115. I can complete the online course with version 9.0.45 without any issue but the status always incomplete with version 9.0.115. When using 9.0.115 it seem there is not communication between OLM player and the application (nothing showup in the java console).
I checked Adobe website and this is what they quoted:
ActionScript 2 getURL() and ActionScript 3 navigateToURL()calls such as getURL("javascript:myFunction();") fail with live web-server content if the HTML and SWF are in separate domains. This issue appears in Internet Explorer versions 6 and 7.

I just tried a piece of flash content using 9.0.115 on iLearning and had no issues, and this should be no different than OLM.
Is the SCORM Adapter set up and in use with debugging turned on? Do you see information in the java console when running the content using the other version of Flash?

Apple TV not playing purchased content. iTunes account Issue?

Like many others, I'm having issues getting Apple TV to play purchased content for a specific iTunes account. After hitting the play button, the movie or TV show thinks about it then reverts back to the information page. This has been happening for just under a week.
I have two other accounts on my Apple TV, and they are both working OK. I asked another mate with an Apple TV to load my account onto his unit and he gets the same issue.
In an attempt to rectify the issue I have:
Reset my password fo itunes. No luck.
Restored the factory settings on the Apple TV. No luck.
Double check account and billing details. No Luck.
I really want to get this resolved. Can someone suggest a fix please!

SOLVED.
I had the same problem minutes ago... I solved it by signing out my apple id from the apple tv and then sign in again. Movies start playing now! Hope this works for you too

Issue while playing the content of Azure Media Services after deleting the channel.

We are having the issue while playing the content of Azure Media Services after deleting the channel.
Please find detail scenarios below:
We have done live streaming of an event using Azure Media Services, event was around 5-6 hrs. After completion of event channel was deleted, when we checked content data
it was only 1hr. Content has only last 1 hr. recording, we are unable to get full recoding.
We divided event into two parts to avoid above issue. After completion of 1st part which was of 2 hrs., we stopped the streaming and deleted the channel. New channel was
created and streaming was started for 2<sup>nd</sup> part, after completion of event channel was deleted. Now we are unable to play the content data for 1st part but able to play the 2nd part of event through content publish URL.
We have done streaming of 3 hrs. event on 18th April with same process and full recoding was available.
Can you let me know what might be the issue?

Error With SCORM Content W Latest Version of Sun Java (1.6.0_10)

We're getting an error with users running the more recent version of Sun Java 1.6.0_10, but not with previous versions. This happens for all our SCORM content.
The Java logs are showing a lot of data, but the main symptoms seem to be:
network: CrossDomainXML: connection to host <our LMS server address> denied
LMS Error: 304 - Security exception
and
Error stack trace:
oracle.apps.ota.lms.LMSException: java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.net.SocketPermission <our LMS server address> connect,resolve)
and
Returned: "false"
*** LMSGetLastError() [Thu Oct 09 10:56:35 EDT 2008]
Returned: "304"

Our crossdomain.xml fille is configured correctly, and also previous versions of JRE are not having the problem (the Java logs look clean).

Got a similar issue with the tracking / bookmarking of sessions - when on sun Java update 7 all is well however when update 10 or 11 is installed then SCROM session start on page 1 not the page you were on, also as expected they do not get marked as complete.
Two things happen
1) A small window is left for - [http://riti04.cornwall.nhs.uk:7780/ilearn/en/learner/jsp/relogin.jsp] - URL
2) We get an Error on page - [http://riti04.cornwall.nhs.uk:7780/ilearn/en/learner/jsp/lms.jsp] - URL
Looked for the Plugin section as per a pervious within the Java Control panel - but I'm not seeing it.
We use iLearn 5.0 and I am begining to think we need a patch but unsure which.

SCORM Content

Does any one know of "top down" & "bottom up" Scorm Content ? I am new to this and did not understand how does this work. If there is any document for the same do pass it on to me.

It's not that the content itself that is "top down" or "bottom up" per se, it's the mechanism in which the content uses to find the SCORM API which enables communication between the content and the LMS... and perhaps "outside in" vs. "inside out" are better terms. Typically the javascript functions used to locate the SCORM API are in a javascript file like APIFunctions.js or SCOFunctions.js and are typically named "FindAPI" and "GetAPI" Depending on how the functions are written, they will either start at the top/outermost section of the browser window hierarchy, working it's way inward through frames to locate the API, or it will start from the innermost frame and work its way outward to find the API.
"Inside out" is the preferred mechanism, especially if the content is on a different server from the LMS and the content is being played within Oracle iLearning/OLM's player framset. Fortunately, in both Oracle iLearning and OLM, a feature was added in case to allow the content to open in a separate window from the player (a property at the learning object level in both products that can be set), so that if the content is looking from the outside in, the content will work fine with either product without changing those functions.
The only downside is that you have a second window open displaying the content, rather than the content being displayed directly in the player window itself....
The feature to open the content in a new window is available as a patch for both products on metalink.

Looking for a SCORM Player or LMS to run Captivate SCORM content (in place of Blackboard 9.1)

We are trying to run Captivate produced SCORM 1.2 in Blackboard 9.1 and are running into several problems (See http://discussions.blackboard.com/forums/p/49773/152443.aspx Please post any solutions to the problems described in that thread in that thread rather than here).
One of the options we are considering is playing and tracking our SCORM content in a separte LMS or with a different SCORM player.
The question:
Can anybody recommend any (ideally free) LMS or SCORM players that have been tested to work with Captivate CS5?

Thanks, that's helpful. Moodle looks like an option then; the challenge will be finding a way to integrate the Moodle SCORM player with Blackboard.
What other LMSs or SCOPRM players are people using successfully (or unsucessfully) with Captivate? is anybody else using Moodle?
I'm espeically keen to hear from anybody who has found a free SCORM player and integrated it with their LMS/VLE and got it to play and track captivate content well. Has anybody tried integrating the Reload player with thier LMS and running a Captivate SCORM?

Firefox freezes many times when I'm playing Flash Contents (Youtube)

Hello. I have upgraded to Firefox 2.6.8 a while ago. The problem occurred recently. Whenever I play Flash Content usually on Youtube, Firefox freezes for many times and it makes my computer runs slower. It's not normal because I have a fast computer

SCORM Content metadata can be imported but content files cannot be uploaded

Hi all,
When I try to import SCORM content via a zip file, the metadata is loaded but not the files. We are running 12.1.3 of the OEBS and this is occurring with Oracle Learning Management.
The my oracle support article, Installing SCORM Compliant Content on Oracle Learning Management [ID 374715.1] refers to this issue in the troubleshooting section and suggests that we look at Article ID#374677.1, but this new article has no resolution that I can find to the issue.
Any ideas from the community?

Receiving error message: Your Apple TV is not authorized to play this content. Please help

I'm receiving an error message on my Apple TV. I downloaded a movie to my MAC, the Mac and the Apple TV were in sync. My Apple TV shows that the movie is "unwatched" in my movie selection area. When I try to play the movie I am receiving the message "YOUR APPLE TV IS NOT AUTHORIZED TO PLAY THIS CONTENT". Has anyone else every had this issue or know how to resolve the problem?

If it's the Apple TV 1 you have: This problem seems to have started around October 28, it appears to affect content purchased only on other devices but played on the Apple TV 1.
There have been other workarounds suggested from time to time, but I have found the simplest solution is to purchase something on the Apple TV 1 directly (There may be free content in some locations and this appears to work just as well).
Once the content has been purchased, it will not only play as normal, but will also allow all other content purchased on other devices after October 28 to play as well.
Some have reported that it's necessary to restart the Apple TV before and/or after purchase, but I found it worked without.

Is there any way to stop websites from auto-playing their content (music/videos) when the page loads?

Certain websites have ads or content that plays music or videos and they are not always easily found to turn off. This also slows down my connection as it is constantly streaming or buffering and I have no way of stopping it. Is there any way that I can disable the websites from automatically playing their content?

Is there any other options for this?
I don't want to block the audio/video, and I do use ad-blocker... However, it's just really annoying when I "open link in new tab" for something I want to look at a little later. Especially if I open several at once, I get multiple tabs playing audio and/or video, and sometimes it takes a while to figure out which tab is doing what...
The issue is I don't want to "block" them -- I just don't want them to play until either the tab is "activated" by clicking on it, or better yet, to only play when I click on the audio/video link.

CANNOT PLAY HD CONTENT BECAUSE MY 24" APPLE DISPLAY NOT "HDCP" AUTHORIZED

Hi I'm sure this topic must have come up before but nothing came up in a search. I'm trying to play an HD TV show and I can't on my 24" Apple cinema display hooked up to my 15" Macbook pro core 2 duo through a mini DV port. I'm getting the error message that the display is not authorized to play HDCP protected movies. How can this be when it is an Apple display and why am I getting this message on a free HD video? I also have not been able to play any itunes video on my external display in full screen mode. When I go to full screen mode the video transfers to the computer screen. I'd appreciate knowing if these are common problems and if this is what Apple has designed or if this is a fault and if there is a solution to these problems?

I have a newer Apple 24" Cinema Display connected through a Mini DisplayPort (pardon my error tibor.moldovan) and it has supported HDCP, but the other day I got an error message when I tried to play a HD video in iTunes saying that my display is not HDCP authorized. I had had that error message previously when trying to play HD content on a TV attached to my computer but not when playing it on my Apple display, so I was surprised when it happened.

Thanks so much for the explanation about the full screen issue. When I first got my external screen and I went to full screen mode it played in the external monitor, but after an upgrade it stopped doing this. I will give this a try.

Not Attempted page on scorm content

I' ve import scorm content, create offering and publish it. But when a user tryng to access the page, it always displays a 'Not Attempted' page, with a 'Home' link. Whats wrong ? Any idea ?
