Issue printing graphics...

I have an issue with a single user account on a single computer at a client's place of business. When this user tries to print a PDF document, any graphics in the document come out very fuzzy or solid black. If this user logs onto the same computer as any other user, the document prints fine. He is using Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional on a Windows XP Pro machine. Any ideas?

Here are most of my settings:
Compatibility: Acrobat 8
Object Level Compression: Tags only
Resolution: 300dpi
Color images down sample above 600 -> 300dpi
Fonts Embed All
         Embed OpenType fonts
Subset embedded fonts when below 100%
(necessary fonts in the always embed list)
Color    Settings file: none
            Convert all colors to CMYK
            Preserve CMYK values
Compliance Standard: None

    bamajim,
Here is a link to a page for your printer that may help with your issue.
The document provides steps to troubleshoot printouts that do not match the screen while printing from the web.
Does this also happen when printing graphics from somewhere other than the web ?
Once you give these steps a try let us know what happens.

  • K550 won't print graphics - Help!

Working great till one day suddenly stopped printing graphics.  Prints text copy fine.  Photos, clip art, etc missing from print.  Ran Diagnostics - okay; ran Configuration page - okay.   Laptop prints fine when connected to another printer,  which eliminated a 'computer' issue; definately a printer setting problem.   Help!!  I'm out of warranty :-(

As near as I can tell, the printer is not the problem. I have tried three different printers, all with the most up-to-date drivers, and even tried Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro, which should bypass all of the above. The graphic elements that worked perfectly in my previous system simply disappear in Snow Leopard. My workaround is to send them to an "older" Mac NOT running Snow Leopard, then convert them to PDF files, then print from Snow Leopard, and all is well. Absolutely frosted! I have publishing deadlines to meet!

  • Issue printing PDF Packages

I'm having issues printing PDF Packages.Clients have contacted us stating that our PDF Packages don't print properly. Essentially they were only able to print the "coversheet" and nothing else. I ran some test scenarios and noted that PDF Packages print feature behaved differently depending on several criterias:
how it was viewed (ie: desktop, Firefox browser, IE browser)
    what Adobe Reader Plugin
what command was used to access print feature (ie: file>print, ctrl + P, print icon)
So far I've noticed that Adobe Reader utilizes two versions of the Print Dialog Box. The first one shows four choices for "Print Range" (All, Current View, Current Page, Pages...) seems to always be misconfigured and does not print as intended. The second one I've noticed seems to limit your Print Range choices (All, Current View) which usually works.
This seems to be an Adobe bug. This Print Bug exists on both Acrobat 8 and 9, and the bug may or may not exist depending on how you view the "PDF Package" (ie: Desktop, Firefox, IE).
If you open the PDF Package on your desktop and view via Adobe Reader for the most part it prints as expected for "Print Current Documents" or "Print All Documents". Although the "Print Range" is misaligned (ie: "Print All" behaves as "Current View", "Current View" behaves as "Current Page".
If you open the PDF Package on a browser with an Adobe Reader plugin, a different scenario occurs.
You might experience that you're locked into printing only the "coversheet" of the PDF Package.
And again your "Print Range" might be misaligned.
In Adobe Reader 8, a dropdown appeared when you selected "File>Print" or the "Print Icon". The dropdown then gave you an option to "Print Current Documents" or "Print All Documents". Which basically provided you an option to print the entire "PDF Package" or choose to print only a section of the "PDF Package".
In Adobe Reader 9, the option to choose between "Print Current Documents" or "Print All Documents" was removed.
In fact I started to document the instances to see if its an isolated issue and it looks like it fails to print (as intended) 60% of the time. Of the 40% that does print as intended... it looks like half the time the "Print Range" is misconfigured.
Also, I've noticed that Reader utilizes two different "Print Dialog" boxes.
The testing scenario I set up was that you can print in three different ways:
        1. File>Print
        2. <ctrl + P>
        3. <print icon>
Three ways to view the PDF package:
        1. Download PDF Package & view on your desktop via Adobe Reader
        2. View PDF Package on Firefox w/ Adobe Reader plugin
        3. View PDF Package on Internet Explored  w/ Adobe Reader plugin
    My computer is using:
XP Pro SP3,  Acrobat Reader 9
    I've also spot tested on:
XP Pro SP3, Acrobat Reader 8
    Vista, Acrobat Reader 8
    Any Ideas?

    Hi Greg,
Since this is sytem defined settings that you are trying to implement, I presume that the INI changes ought to be done in FSISYS.INI rather than the FSIUSER.INI.
Apart from that most of your INI changes look fine as we are also using pdf as our Output type. Please find the INI change swe have implemented in our system for printing pdf.

  • Issue Printing One or Two Checks on HP LaserJet Pro 200 MFP M276nw

I just purchased an HP LaserJet Pro 200 MFP M276nw which replaces an HP Color LaserJet 2605dn.
I've run into an issue printing checkes from Quicken when I print less than a full sheet (one or two) checks.
With my old printer, I used the manual feed for a partial sheet.
Since the new printer does not have a manual feed, I have to put the partial sheet in the paper tray.
It seems one of two things happen:
    1) Sometimes the printer will print the partial page but then displays an error message which says something like "Unexpected paper size, load letter."
It then re-prints the partial page on the next sheet of paper.
    2) Othertimes, it prints the partial page without the error message, but then feeds the next sheet of paper throught the printer.
In either case the next page contains the next three checks, so it's either wasting checks or printing on the wrong check numbers.
Any suggestions on how to avoid these issues would be appreciated.

    Me too.
I've been using an alternate printer for printing the checks, but I'd rather get rid of the old one. (The HP Laser Pro 200 takes up a lot of space!)
KC, Seems like you've been waiting for an answer for a VERY long time.  I'm not going to hold my breath.
Hey HP!  Do you ever monitor this site?!

  • Issue with graphics tearing on thumb scroll in Flex 3

We are seeing some off issues with graphics (one using the charting package and the other using degrafa) tearing on thumb scrolling in a large Flex 3 app.  It's very hard to reproduce on OSX with the latest versions of Safari and Firefox, but it shows almost immediately when you run the app on Windows or Linux (regardless of the browser).  I took one of the pieces out of the app and put it into a very simple testbed app and can't get the problem to show on Windows (i was hoping to isolate the issue in a smaller test case, but no such luck).
So, ii've got a few idea's on how to work around the issue, but i was wondering if anyone else has seen this type of problem before?
    Problem:
         - graphics tear on thumb scroll
         - doesn't happen if you click in the track or use the arrows
         - one view is using the charting package, the other view is using degrafa
Thanks for any comments or suggestions...

SOLUTION:  changed wmode from "opaque" to "window" in the jsp serving as the wrapper for the app's main swf...
    Here's the reference we used to determine the proper setting for wmode;

  • HT1338 Printing graphics

Since updates installed on August 4, I am unable to print on my Epson Stylus PX730WD from files generated in Quark 10.2. When I try, any graphics come out corrupted or Quark crashes. I am able to print text only files and I am able to print from PDFs of the files but not from the originals.
Quark are working on this but so far have found no solutions. I note that my 'About my Epson Stylus PX730WD' window shows the printer as 'Printer Proxy' version 9.4'. Do I, therefore, have a problem with my printer software, rather than a problem with Quark?

    Dear Matthias,
Thank you for your continued interest. I am pleased to report that I believe the problem of printing graphics from Quark original files is now resolved.
The trouble was with fonts. I was working with Extensis Suitcases Version 4 which apparently does not support Quark 10.2. When I upgraded to Suitcases Version 5 yesterday, all seemed to be in order.
I hope that this information will be useful to you and to other customers who may have had similar experiences. Once again, my thanks for your time.
    Kind regards,
    Diana

  • SMARTFORMS printing graphics from URL

I do not find anything yet to print graphics on SMARTFORM using variable name from a url NOT via SE78 Graphics Administration Document Server.
There is solution to load SE78 Document Server via BDC but I am looking for solution where Document Server is not loaded with excessive images AND NOT solution writing over a single image there; I want it actually redirected to another url address.
I do understand that I will maintain a table having the url address AND that I can even display from SMARTFORM; I am asking for solution that actually prints the stored image.

    Dear Michael,
    good to see you..
I am facing the same problem for using the image from URL in SMARTFORM...
If you got solved the problem please give me the suggestions how you had done this....

  • Printing graphics object in Landscape or portrait mode

    Hello,
I have a graphics 2d object (a Tree Diagram) which is inside a JScrollPane, and the JSCrollPane is on a JPanel. it's length and width is more than one page. I am using a printable object to print the object. The task I need to do is,
(1). compress the width and length of the diagram, so that if can fit into one page, else split the diagram into pages, so that each part of it can be printed on different pages(page size A4) and then later those pages can be merged accordingly.
I am not able to find, how to split the graphic object(the tree diagram into pages), shoul d I try doing it using x and y co ordinate of the graphic object.

  • Failed to issue print from win7 laptop to Canon MP230 which is connected to mac mini os x 10.8.3

    HI
I have recently bought a Canon MP230 printer and connected to my Mac Mini 10.8.3 usb port.
To setup the printer I downloaded the latest driver from canon web site and install all of them
When I issue print from my mac mini it works fine.
Next step was to issue print from Windows 7 laptop .
To do that I intalled Bonjoure in my Windows 7 latpot and set the printer connected to MAc Mini as default printer.
Upto this point every thing works fine.
When I tried to issue print from my Windows 7 laptop the printer gets activated the power button start blinking . But it just pass a page from
input tray to out tary without printing  a single line. I have looked into cups server page at my mac mini. It shows that the job fired from windows
    laptop was done.
I treid a lot debug it myself . But no luck yet.
Please help me. I am very upset.
    Thanks
    Anirban

I just updated to 10.8.3 today, and my computer and Apple TV won't even recognize each other now.  I have absolutely no advice, but wanted to throw this in so you (and Apple) know you're not the only one.

I can only print graphics - can not print text part of page or email from Firefox. Prints OK from Wordperfect, wordpad, notepad and a print screen from XP. Canon Pixma MP780, XP SP2 As far as I can tell all settings are correct for the printer in the control panel.

Try printing a Supply Status report, can you see any of the colors printed correctly? (Black, Magenta, Cyan and Yellow) or there may some missing colors?
