Issue regarding transfer of sales order stock to another location

Scenario:
Sales order stock to be transported to the port(secong plant) from manufacturing unit (plant 1) and to be delivered to the customer from port (second plant ). whereas the sales order is raised at manufacturing unit (plant 1).
Steps followed:
Step 1 : Customer gives the sales order at Plant (1)
Step 2 : STO is done from Plant (2)
Step 3 : VL10B with reference to STO is done
Step 4 : VL02N is done with reference to outbound delivery
Step 5 : GRN at Plant (2) with reference to outboubd delivery
Step 6 : Delivery to the customer
In this scenario, the sales order stock is not picked whereas the unrestricted stock is being picked. we are doing MIGO to send the sales order stock to unrestricted stock and then picking this stock.
whereas the client wants sales order stock to be picked directly without using movement type 411 E, as this is a daily process.
can you suggest any solution / movement type that picks the sales order stock directly and also gives the delivery document ( as we tried doing with movement type 301, we are not getting any delivery documents).

The scenario will be like this:
In MTO scenario goods will be produced for the sales order & stock will be sales order stock.
In this scenarion, suppose after production of goods , customer refuses to take the same.
Because the stock will be assigned tosales order, & it can not be issed to another sales order.
The we have to make stock transferfrom sales order stock to own stock & issue to another sales order.
Of course you have to make some other config settings if requd forthe system to allow this.

Revaluation in stock transfer to Sales Order stock from unrestricted

User is trying to do a stock transfer posting from unrestricted to Sales order stock. Now the system is throwing an error saying that account setting has not been done for UMB (OBYC setting). I have given the GL for this UMB transaction type in OBYC> UMB is for posting Gain/Loss from revaluation.
I dont understand how a revauation happens when we transfer stock from unrestricted to Sales Order Stock ? What is the purpose of that in our scenario, could you please explain.

Normally it should not happen in case of stock transfer posting. Please check the movement type settings for valuation class of your material and see if the transaction type UMB has been set against valuation class in OMJJ...Account grouping.

Transfer of Sales Order stock - MTO scenario

Hi,
We have a situation in a MTO scenario, in MMBE we see a Sales Order stock for a material.
THe Sales order is archived from the system and he corresponding PP order is also in TECO status.
We need ot use that Sales order stock and transferit unrestricted.
We cannot use any of the movement types as we get the error message Sales order is archived and does not exist.
Is there any way we can use the Sales order stock. Please suggest something orther than reversing the PP cycle.

Transfer of sales order stock

Dear Experts,
we produced a material of length 5000mm for one sale order which is in fgstock ( 100 pcs ) , but suddenly need to transfer material for other sale order of length 4000mm ( 75 pcs ) , for some other requirment. For that we need to recut material 5000mm to 4000mm . How to change finished material in SAP from 5000mm to 4000mm. We dont want to create any bom , routing and production order and doing confirmation . Please advice some simple procedure by-passing PP route.

You can do the same through Transfer posting.
1) Use transaction MB1B, Movment type 411E
2) Give the sales order no from which you wanted to utilize the stock, material no & Quantity as only 75 PCS (4000 M).
3) Post the material document, Now the 4000 M will be in unrestricted stock.
4) Now again Use the transaction MB1B, Movement type 412 E
5) Give the sales order no for which you wanted to transfer the stock, material & Qty as 75 PCS (4000M).
6) Post the material document, Now the Qty 4000M will be in the another sales order for which against you wanted to dispatch.

I making a report in which i have to display the material's minimum ,maximum and reorder point levels and its stock level too.
but 1 problem i am facing is that if the stock is present in the sales order theni have to use the MSKA table but it contains different fields such as :-
1.) Unrestricted stock
2.) Block Stock
3.) Quality stock
I want to know that table which stoers the sum of all the values given above.
plzz help me out how to solve this problem.it is really urgent to me as i have to complete the report right now.

I think you have to sum up all the values (You can request the requirement from functionals) also you can always cross check with transaction MB52.

Hi,
Could you please explain in details?
Other than the way of converting sale order stock which is the normal course of working, you can also consume the unrestricted stock to the production order which has a assignment to the sale order by manually changing the assigment of the material in the production order components. If you enter into the production order components u will be able to see a column called "Spec procurement" where in by default it will be '1' if the production order is w.r.t a sale order. Then proceed with material availability check.

.Sales order # 501324 for Plant 2000
Plant 1000 and Plant 2000 belong to same company code.
Now I wanna to transfer the sales order stock of Sales order # 301324 to Sales order # 501324 directly, is that possible? If it's, how to realize?

u cant transfer directly a sales order from one plant to another plant sales order
1 first step is u have to transfer ur sales order unrestricted stock to plant unrestricted stock 411 E movtype
2. then u have to transfer ur unrestricted stock to plant 1 to plant 2 301movement type
3. and then from there u can transfer ur unrestricted stock to sales order stock 412 E mov type

Stock trsp of normal stock to sales order stock

Dear colleagues,
I have been working with stock transport of sales order stock before and it worked - I have no issues with it. But this time my client needs to transport normal stock in one plant to sales order stock in another plant. FYI, this is a cross-company STO, i.e. item category "standard" in the PO.
I thought it was the requirements class in the "Transfer of requirements" function that controled which stock my STO was going to consume, but I am unsure now. I checked the requirement class that SAP assigned to my STO delivery of sales order stock (the one that works - SO stock to SO stock) and it is 041, i.e. the very standard reqmt class that has nothing to do with sales order stock! So how does SAP determines it is the sales order stock that I want to transport?
The IMG notes for the setting "Determination Of Requirement Types Using Transaction" imply that there can be special rules implied for special stocks:
Example
There are business transactions, such as consignment stock processing, in which the material with its planning characteristics is not important, rather the transaction itself. An issue from the customer's consignment stock should not trigger an availability check against planning at the plant as layed down by the planning strategy but rather against special stock.
How does it work for special stock then?

Yes, it works with M - SO stock is moved from plant to plant. But we need to move normal stock in the source plant to SO stock in the destination plant. Therefore I wonder what is it that tells SAP to do GI from sales order stock. Is it just that the AA category defines the sp. stock indicator both for the issuing plant and the receiving plant? In such case, we are stuck.
But the comment in the IMG documentation that I cited first implies that there might be other thing that controls the special stock on the delivering plant side.

Valuated Sales order stock with CO Production Order

Dear All,
Our clinet is manifatcuring cables and having 2 plants, for one plant we have configured PP module so we are arriving valuated sales order stock, for another plant we didnt configured PP module so we planned CO production order, but where as we are not meeting our ultimate goal i.e; valuated sales order stock.
So please guide me how to arrive valuated sales order stock with CO Production Order.

Valuated sales order stock is not dependent on PP, so you should be able to still to use it. The requirements class associated with the sales order item determines whether the item is valuated sales order stock and it also determines the valuation method. If you do not have Boms and routings in this plant you can still value the line item based on the material valuation in the material master. You can also value it based on a unit cost estimate that can be created seperately for the sales order item. Justt make the desired settings in the requirement class.

Sales Order Stock Configuration across the Supply Chain

Dear Colleagues,
here's my query. This is more related to configuring Make To Order on R/3 Side.
As a Requirement, my client would want that across the supply chain, to trace the stocks relevant for a particular Sales Order. One way I came across was using Sales Order Stock.
The Product Flow Network is like :
Plant > BSR > WH1 > WH2 > Invoicing Point.
(- No Planned Movement Doc in Plant-BSR) > STO(B-W) > InterCo PO(W1-W2) > STO(W2-Inv. Point)
What I would like to know is that using MTO strategy and Sales Order Stock, how can we configure the following scenario?
1. Sales Order is Created with Account Assignment
2. InterCompany STO and InterPlant STO can be created with Account Assignment Category Type 'E' and reference to the Sales Order-Item No.
3. Using STOs at BSR, Propogate the Demand to Plant, create a Planned Order with Account Assignment and Sales Order Reference.
4. Production and subsequent GR to Sales Order Stock at BSR
5. Subsqeuent Deliveries only against the Relevant STOs and GR to Sales Order Stock at all locations in the network.
I would like to highlight that the need for identification of linking SO to Production Order is only from the stage of SKU-production order at the plant to utpo final delivery from the Invoicing plant.

Typically MTO situation is better modeled in PPDS since it does pegging through the network. In SNP we typically do dynamic pegging and hence it will be difficult to link the sales order all the way to production order. Having said that SNP does take into account available resource for planning some of which could have been consumed by MTO orders. This perhaps may not be helpful to your scenario.
As I said dynamic pegging is done with SNP. So when you use SNP in the network, you can basically check the product view to see the supply-demand links. (/sapapo/rrp3) These links are indicative and you should be able to use them for tracing purposes.
