Issue Saving and Opening in Dreamweaver 8

Hello, I am currently working with a group on web design and need help. Whenever we try saving the pages we make as .html and re-open them, the frame(Top Nestled Left, Left Frame) we inserted and anything in the frames dissapear, even when multiple copies are saved after they were put there. We have looked on the forum and didn't see anything like this. Can anybody help us? Thank you in advanced.

you could still load the problematic side to the server, an analysis for us would be easier. Otherwise you had to send your source code here into the forum, define the place where want to insert and what should be inserted into your frames.

Billing plan (Downpayment) for saved and open sales orders at header level?

Hi gurus,
I have configured billing plan in my SD environment at Item Level.
I want to change it to header level.
Questions:
1- When I make the changes to update the system to have billing plan at header level for future sales orders, is that possible for me to change all my saved orders and open orders with the new settings so that I can also have those saved and open orders with a billing plan at item level?
2- If that scenario is not possible, could we for example copy the data of a previously saved or open sales order into a new sales order with the new customizing (Billing plan at Header level?)

Hi
I am afraid you cannot do that converstion for the existing orders. BP at header level are enabled at teh document type level, while BP at item level is done at item category. So both are independent. Mostly it is advisabel to use BP at item level only.
If you are already using item level BP, and want to mvoe to header BP, then only future transactions can be executed with BP at header level. Existing item level BPlans will remain so in the system.

Invisible objects made visible revert to their invisible state after saving and opening

I am working in LiveCycle Designer ES2 creating a decision tree that is highlighted in red as you click the Yes and No checkboxes in the document. I duplicated the arrows and made the copies red and then invisible. When the checkbox is checked, the red arrows become visible, when unchecked, invisible. The problem I have encountered is that because the default state of the red arrows is invisible, they do not stay visible if you fill out the form, save it, then open it again. When the saved form is opened, all the correct checkboxes are checked, but all the red has gone back to being invsible. I am creating and saving the pdfs as dynamic XML forms and using them in Acrobat X. It was all done with the action builder (yes, I know, stop using action builder, but I had to teach myself LiveCycle last week to get this far and havn't made it to scripting).
I read through a post with a similar question but it involved a master drop down list not checkboxes, and I did not see how I could apply the solution in that post to my checkbox issue.
Any thoughts on how to get the red lines to stay visible when saved and reopened?

Saving and opening files in textedit

i am a brand new macbook (and mac) user and saving my files for default opening with microsoft word, but also want to work on them as textedit as i haven't bought windows for mac yet, and am still on the trial period. until today i have had no problem reopening files as textedit again, in spite of having saved them as word. but today when i tried to open as textedit and was informed by a popup that i couldn't because it wasn't in the right format, and could have been corrupted or truncated. Can anyone help me understand what is going on? cheers

- Are the files you can't open all old files?
- No matter what I do, I can't open a word file in Safari. I am assuming, "new to mac" means you were a Windows user. Were the files you are trying to open from your PC, if so, how did you get them on to the macbook?
All of this could have a bearing on your issue. Especially see if you can just create new file in your mac word trial program, type a couple of sentences, save, then try to open in Text Edit. If that works the legacy windows word files, or how you got them to the mac, could be the issue.

It was all good yesterday....today, I cannot open any previous files and documents in textedit, nor can I save any new ones.
Whats going on??? It says i dont have permissions and to open in finder and click get info...nothing is working??

Dynamic Subform not showing up after saving and opening.

After I fill out the pdf, save it, and open it, the dynamic subform does not appear. There are currently 2 subforms that are controlled by checkboxes and function in the following manner:
-If the "No" checkbox is checked, the "SubmissionNo" subform should appear, the "Submission" subform should be hidden, and the "Yes" checkbox should be unchecked
-If the "Yes" checkbox is checked, the "Submission" subform should appear, the "SubmissionNo" subform should be hidden, and the "No" checkbox should be unchecked
Both checkboxes default to being unchecked and save properly, but after I close the pdf and then open it, the appropriate subform that should be showing is still hidden despite having the "Yes" or "No" checkbox being checked.
I have the following script in the docReady of SubmissionNo:

That should work. You're missing semicolons after each statement and I thought that might be tripping it up but it worked fine when I tested it, every statement in JavaScript should end with a semicolon but if there is just one line I guess it works ok (see below).

When you are in Acrobat press CTRL-J and the JavaScript console should open. Then click the checkbox and see if any error messages appear in the console window.
If that doesn't show anything if you can share your form via acrobat.com (or some other file sharing site) then I can take a look. If you use acrobat.com then once you have uploaded the file you need to select it and Share it and then Publish it, then you can paste the link here.

Saving and Viewing in Dreamweaver

Just started using Dreamweaver and was wondering if anyone
could tell me why, after saving my work with .html extension, I am
unable to view it when reopening Dreamweaver. It will open fine
from the saved location, but I can't open again to edit. All it
shows when I try to open it is my background image but nothing
else. Any ideas?

Could you please post the code or a link to the page you're
working on. If you open dreamweaver and then click file>open ...
browse and select your file, logically dreamweaver should open the
file the way you saved it.

File Server Slowdown with Illustrator(only) saving and opening

Hello,
I have a problem i have been struggling with for years.
When we save a file to the server, the time to open, save or export can be anywhere from 1-5 minutes. Its killing our productivity.
I have changed out every component. We have Eight illustrator CS3 13.0.2 users on C2D/i3/i7 iMacs running 10.6.7. They are connecting to a Mac 10.6.7 Server with AFP - mac mini 2.53 with a lacie 5 drive raid.
We have had this problem going back to at least 10.4.6 i think it was. (I did not write good troubleshooting logs back then)
What appears to be happening:
open a file in the finder or in illustrator
if a font is missing, it immedialy pings you, so its like illustrator looks at the files and then is looking for something else (problem exists if no fonts are present)
the mouse then beach balls and illustrator shows as not responsive
the server shows some activity on the cpu/network/hard drive side but its very minor. like a get info command on lots of files
local user shows very little to no activity
then it stops doing nothing after the few minutes and it opens quickly.
the content of the files does not effect the problem. A 10 meg files with lots of stuff takes maybe 4 minutes vs 3 min 50 seconds for a empty file
my solution so far:
I can clear the problem by running a script that deletes the illustrator prefs, mediabrowser.plist, deletes illustrator cache files, deletes apple quarantie events, bridge prefs. and a restart. Then files open in under 5 seconds. After a couple of hours or some times a day, the open times creep up to a minute, after a few days, they are 2-5 minutes. Sometime clearing these files does not work and i have to then wipe a machine and do clean installs of everything. Some Macs will not have the problem, and function great for a month and then they have the problem for no explainable reason.
All other functions work great, no problems anywhere with anything else, excempt saving illustrator files to the server.
We have tried moving the files locally and then copying them back, but we loose too much work with the errors associated with version control problems. Also a synced folder to the local machines of the server (yes that was intense on the machines) some how had the problem follow it on some macs but not others
I have tried illustrator CS4 and CS5 and it has the same problem
I am currently trying to brute force attack the problem, I figure i can reduce the wait time to maybe 20% with a Mac pro and a bank of SSD's. my cost is almost 8k. I am not happy giving up on fixing the bug, but we have at least 1-2 people waiting around at any given time.
Any thoughts on the problem or a solution?

To create a new Swatches panel to store pattern swatches you have to:
a) Open the Swatches panel and delete all the swatches that you don't want (optional)
b) Choose Save Swatch Library as AI (not ASE) from the Swatches panel menu (I suggest you to save it on the Desktop! So you can easily find that!).
The saved file is actually a simple (blank) Illustrator file.
To use this file with other Illustrator projects choose Window > Swatch Library > Other Libraries and navigate to the saved Illustrator file (Desktop).
At this point another swatches panel is opened on the screen.
Drag the desired swatches from this new panel to the document one. Then close the new panel.

Photoshop cs4 crashing on saving and opening .pdf

Each time i try to use photoshop cs4 to save a file as a pdf or open a pdf the pinwheel will pop up and the programs will crash. I still use the cs3 nd it will do save the files as pdf with no problem. I have a mac book pro 2.4 ghz processor with 256 graphics card and 4gb of ram.
i dont think memory is the issue.

No, that is NOT a problem.
The problem would have been uninstalling CS3 incorrectly.
I have Photoshop 7.0.1, 8, 9.0.2, 10.0.1 and 11.0.1 (CS4) happily coexisting on my machine.

CS5 Suddenly Stops Saving and Opening PNG & GIF Files

CS5, windoze 7, 64 bit.
Inexplicably, CS5 just stops working with PNG & GIF format files.
Fine, this morning; but not after lunch! Indigestion?
Bridge says it's missing a/the java plug-in. Huh? Java is up to
date at OS level.

First, I'm inquiring for my wife. I.e. I'm not the user. She's not all that comfortable with using Forums.
I use Photo Impact - now part of Corel, as I understand it.
She says she can't open or save those formats, as she used to be able to. But she can open PNGs
in Illustrator.
The bridge error message is generated on clicking bridge, when no other task is running:

The mini bridge also gives an error message when clicked on, with no other task is running:

She reports that a lot of Save As options have disappeared. If this was Photoimpact, I'd be
checking the FIO folder for the necessary fio files, but I don't know how PS manages the
way in which various file formats become interchangeable for saving/opening. What that
has to do with bridge, I know not. I don't know the first thing about PS.
That said, chronologically, the problem seems to have occurred after the installation of
a number of pre-sets. That makes me suspicious of them. Or rather, the installation
process that they involved. But I don't know for sure, nor do I know how that installation
of presets process might be reversed, to check if that caused the problem. (see below)
Oh, she has executed an update, but that didn't fix the problem either.
If there's no easy way to achieve a remedy to the problem, I'm contemplating doing a system
restore. She's presently moving (backing-up) those pre-sets before any roll-back is attempted.

Apps saving and opening

This ismy problem.
One day I got a game from the app store called minecraft pocket edition lite, I started playing it, I was playing it and created something, the app didnt have a saving feature, so I was using the switcher to use safari, mail and other apps, I did this for 2-3 days and then one day I forgot to use the switcher and accidentally went into the app friom the home screen/ SpringBoard so when the game loaded and all of the games project I had worked on restarted.
So the point is, apple can you make an improvement where any app running in the background can be opened from the springboard without being start again.
Apple, I am a big fan of yours but, to be honest can you please fix all the ios 6 problems ASAP, IT will help you from getting mocked by the gay companies likesamsung, motarolla etc.

Saving and Opening files from Flash Drive Mac to Windows Computer

Hi!
I recently purchased a generic Flash drive (2gb). I am having problems saving things on it. Sometimes when i drag a file to the flash drive icon it doesn't load properly or transfers well. I try opening it and it says: "FILE ERROR
Couldn't open the file. It may be corrupt or a file format that Preview doesn't recognize." Some documents do open well. I also tried opening files on a windows computer and it says it has to be formated. I format it and of course everything deletes.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

OK. I did.
But here is the problem, it still doesn't save certain file on the flash drive. Most of the files are either jpg.,cwk.,pdf., or mov.
The mov. won't even play. It works fine when i save files from a windows computer, but not when i save from my mac.
I really have no idea why its doing this. I am aware that certain file can't be opened from a mac to a window, but i just don't know why, when i place a file into the flash drive icon and try to re-open it, it says the error message again (On my mac).

TextEdit: Saving and opening menu items don't work

I create a new document, type a couple of sentences. Then when I hit "Save", a dialog box should open where I enter the document name - but nothing happens. The same with the "Save As ..." and the "Open file ..." menu options - no reaction.
It used to work before. What happened?

Does it happen in a different user as well? Does this issue appear in different applications as well?

Saving and opening files slow

I just got a Mac Pro and noticed that when opening and saving files (using Save As...) from any app, it takes an unusually long time for the open/save dialog box to come up. So much so, I actually get the spinning beach ball for at least 5-10 seconds. I have 6gb of RAM and also filled all the drive bays and created a 0+1 RAID.
Any ideas?

First, make sure Energy Saver is set to not allow disk drives to spin down.
Secondly, software 0+1 is not a good configuration or idea. Go with one or the other; or invest in RAID6 controller. Striping two mirrors has been trouble and iffy, and sometimes it seems to work.
