Issue sound on the Pavilion dv 1720us

Is been approx. a week  than I do not have the same good sound on my laptop. The only sound that I hear right know is from below ( HP triple bass subwoofer),
Also the touch control of the sound is still red and does not came when I touch it blue like is normal to be.However the touch sensor it work only on or off (open or close the sound) but not change the color and remain red.
Did anyone have the same issue like me?
Please help because I really angry about this because I don`t know  how is possible suddenly to have this issue
Below are the information about my laptop OS-Vista SP2 64 bit [Personal Information Removed]  PN: NB245UA#ABA

First of all I`m not frustrated and of course I  tried to  contact  the Hp total care but is impossible to  help me outside of US border.
Because right know I`m outside of US in Europe I try this way to found if my  issue is singular or is something that I was doing from mistake..
So  be kind and thanks for you  answer

    Turn off Voice Control.
Otherwise, basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).

  • I am suffering the overheating issue in my HP Pavilion DV2000 laptop caused by NVIDIA GPU issue.

I am suffering the overheating issue in my HP Pavilion DV2000 laptop caused by NVIDIA GPU issue. When I go to the settlement site http://www.nvidiasettlement.com , I see that the last date of filing the claim expired which was 14th of March 2011. Is there any option remaining for the solution.
I want to get rid of this irritating overheating problem. Is there any option for replacement of NVIDIA GPU at my own cost even in some authorised service centre?

    Hi,
Sorry I misunderstood, central (center) speaker is the one sit at the middle, we normally call  Left, Right and Center speakers. Anyway, what is your speaker icon (bottom right corner) says ? Does it look like this ?
    1. If NO, double click it & turn it ON
    2. If YES, right click it, select "Playback devices" and turn it ON, it should look like this:
    3. Otherwise, please post back

  • Windows update killed the sound on HP Pavilion

This is a HP Pavilion g7-1261nr Notebook PC.  We were watching a video last week with the sound through the system speaker.  The show was interrupted for a microsoft update.  The updates installed, and laptop rebooted.  When it started up again, the unit had no sound.  I have rolled back the update and reinstalled.  No changes.  Updated the bios again and again, no change.
Windows has no answers.  Any ideas?

Thanks, Paul.  I rolled back and reinstalled the Windows update.
    > If you didn't reinstall the audio driver from your notebook's support and driver page, try that.

OK, now I have don that and still no sound.  Not even the annoying system sounds from Windows.  The speaker tray still has a red X, and when I click on it, "Troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem,"
No change.  Any other suggestions, please.

  • No Sound after Formatting the Pavilion A1519H to XP Pro SP3

    Hi!
The original OS for Pavilion A1519H was XP Media Center Edi. 2005. I formatted the PC to XP Pro SP3, and I'm already aware for the procedures from HP sites. I already downloaded the drivers for XP Pro. After XP Pro, I also installed the Microsoft UAA High Definition Audio Driver as well as the Microsoft .NET Framework.
Then I installed the chipset and all the drivers. Everything seems OK except for the sound. The speaker icon and realtek sound icon was appearing in the tray. Mute is disable, volume ok, but  still no sounds output. Once I plug in the green color audio connector to green output port of the PC (Back and Front), The Realtek sound manager detected but it shows not the green output port but blue input port connected.
Device manager properties shows all (including the Sound adapter) OK except for "other devices" unknown device shows.
But I'd already installed all the drivers and chipset properly.
Kindly help in these regards. Hope to hear from you soon.
    Thank you and God bless.
    Ochie Casi

    Thank you for quick reply.
I'd been in this realtek download site and already downloaded the sound driver "WDM_R238" for XP.
As HP instructions, I must install first the Microsoft UAA HD Audio driver then follow by this Realtek driver.
It still same, sound icons is there, Windows Audio OK, Speaker/headphones had been changed, mute disable. But still I don't have a sound..
Is there anything I's missed in the process?
    Thank you.
    Ochie

  • Ram Issues with a Hp Pavilion a6357c or maybe the amd athlon 64 5000+

I am really not sure if I am in the area-of a post like this. Please excuse my grammar and spelling"will try and use spell check"...
I got this computer from a friend of mine.Total nightmare. Was told all it needs is a hard drive and maybe a video card..Boy was that not the issue. I first got it and plugged it-make sure it would boot to bios..Nothing computer turned on-fans and all..Nothing on the screen. To make a long story short...I found an old ps2 mouse..The mouse was defective...with that mouse plugged in-computer wouldn't even boot to bios..Fixed that issue. Got into bios and all was good. Next step..Video card-Bought a new pny 9500 GT and a TTGI 550 power supply....swaped it all out and it works great...Than found a hard drive SATA 2...everthing installed and ready to place an operating system on....
Windows 7 64 bit--Installed great...But when it came up to the start up---Freeze--blue screen...Ok thought maybe it was the ram.....ended up taking all the old ram out and replace it with some DDR2 6300--or what ever the max was...total of 6 gb...still issue...freezing--decided to boot into safe mode---all good and ran great....checked Ram-stress test-checked every little hardware--stress test-no issues...Booted back up out of safe mode... Same issues....ok--lets just try Windows 7 32 bit.....
Windows 7 32 bit.....Install went great-no issues....updated and all the sp's...but underload----bluescreen....played and played with it...but the blue screen were all over the place...back into safe mode and checked all the drivers--and devices....Ok lets just go back to what the system had----windows Vista....
Again----everything boot and installed perfect...This time was a liitle more stable...updates--all the sp's all the drivers.....
Blue screen underload......Ok maybe my ram is at fault.......
It ended up stable and working perfect---single channel mode-2 gb in the first slot....I tried every way to put the ram in.....
found out--ok---only stable in single channel mode...anytime I added ram--for dual channel...Fail under load....Put the 2 gb stick or a 1 gb stick any any of the other slots-by itself---perfect stable and running great...I was even able to add another 1 gb stick with the 2 gb stick---but it had to be in single channel....tried to add more in single channel and fail....3 is it and it is not all the way stable--but stable enough to run...2 gb stick by itself---perfect.........
Did some digging---maybe it is the memory controller...But can not find any post with this issue---I keep finding people asking the quesion--and there storys match...But no answers and it seems that the just get a walk around.....
I have narrowed it down..It has to me the intergrated memory controller on the chip....so i think...I could just purchase a new one and swap it out........But here is the issue...........
Safe Mode will take all the ram-dual channel---single channel..anyway.......But so will linix-----Only has this issue with Windows....
The other werid item too---My had drive say scis drive or something along that lines--Not sata.....and again-I can not find a post to explain why......
Please understand----Stress test on Ram-cpu-motherboard--videocard----everthing--is perfect no issues...PSU is perfect---checked it out in another sytem---no issues....I am at my witts end with this thing and I have got nowhere......
It is working great with just a 2 gb stick of ram---very fast and very responsive....But adding extra ram really bothers me...Not because--it make a differance-Just because I don't know...
Can somebody out there school me.....I have tried everything........

Sorry all-But i never got a reply to this situation. But I am done. I ended up running threw tons of post and tons of threads. I can tell you that when people ask a question. There is always some smart A--, telling them something that has nothing to do with the current situation. I guess alot of people out there think they know everything- and have nothing to do-but mess with the people like me when they are stumped. Anyways...I ended up running a computer check in or after bios...I think they call it burned in-HP....what ever-the last straw when you can not figure it out..Ran it with one stick---than with all the sticks..Everytime--it claimed that there was nothing wrong..But when I tried to restart it--boom blue screen..with the mulyi sticks of ram. So when I couldn't find an solution online...I stoped using the words HP a6357c.. and just typed the issue..Funny thing the issue kept poping up--and with the same motherboard or processor...and again-nobody ever came up with a solution..Most of the post claimed the issue was the power supply....ot the ram timming..But I know better..Not to mention people kept saying-buy the tool from ebay to check wattage usuage.....Bam----wattage...Did a simple check with harware monitor...my 3.5 or 3.3 rail was running at 1.78....enought to power one stick of ram---not 2...or barley enough to power a 1 gb stick and a 2 gb stick in single channel mode...Again-people were blaming--PSU"not my case".Ram Timming.."not my case".........Then I found a person with the same make and model.....Look for fat or bad capasitors...Never thought of that.....Guess what------That is what I found....No body but a thread-one thread has explained...If you have this same issue-Look at the capasitors...Maybe this is a defective motherboard--you can not find it on the site anyway-no specs nada..like it was a mistake..So if you have one just like this- I have a feeling-you will run into this issue-in one way or another..I just don't understand why both companys have no fix--or no--recall info..No answers to problems on these....now I have a big black paper weight.....sorry for my spelling and grammer-just so mad..the net was no help on this

  • I have no sound in Firefox, but sound does work everywhere else. The mixer on Win7 is not showing a firefox volume option. Where do I go to fix the issue and get sound on the browser, can't find any menu's for this fix.

New system, just setting up. Trouble shot hardware and everything works fine, just can't get any sound on the browser and have no obvious volume control for Firefox. All other volumes are at full

Hey! well funny enough, After doing a Semi format (That cool function that WIN 8 has to refresh your PC) .. I could hear sounds,!!!! Yay super happy!! .... so I continued to download all my programs once again....and then today, I went to watch a movie trailler.... and I had no sound... again... but obviolusy once the Razer synapse installed, It must have something wrong with it and its not letting me hear stuff!! and I know this becasue I borrowed a headset, a Turtel Beach x12 and now I can hear stuff all the time!! YAY! .. Ive been switching between one and the other, and the Kraken dont work! Lol

  • Sound issues (already read the sticky)

alright so i trying installing the sound from the disk, didnt work. So than i found the sticky on the forums...didnt work. So i tried to reinstall from disk and i noticed when i was running it i would get images like this
Any idea how i can combat that and fix it? Is that whats stopping my sound?

but one thing I do know is...
YOU SHOULD NEVER TRY TO INSTALL / UNISTALL yours hardware or software while running 8 more programs at the same time... (that is what you are doing?)
so it could be that windows made a mistake while instaling or uninstalling 'cause some of the progs. you were running were using resources windows needed
or maybe your installation disc is corrupted?
    anyway...
download the drivers for your chipset
uninstall / remove your hardware from the device / system manager
    reboot computer
    and install the downloaded drivers
after or before that scan the computer for viruses.

  • No Sound from HP Pavilion 20xi monitor or the CPU of HP Pavilion HPE H8 1360

I wonder why I can't get sound out of an essentially new desktop or my monitor.  There is an input cable for sound on the monitor and in my control panel there is an option for digital sound output.  I was told by HP that this model will not porduce sound unless it's connector to external speakers.  I am shocked.

    Hi,
Sorry, which port are you talking about ? Based on the following specs, the monitor does NOT have any speaker, does NOT have any input for sound.

They were right, you need external speaker(s).

  • For 1/11/11 expert day: can hear sounds on headphones but no sound via the internal speakers

HP Pavilion dv6135nr Notebook internal speakers have stopped working.  I can hear sounds on headphones but no sound via the internal speakers.  A search on HP customer care for my notebook yielded the download recommendation below, even though I had not stated my problem.  However, executing this download did NOT resolve the problem.  Please advise regarding resolution to inoperable speakers.  I do not know if all of my sound and audio settings are correct, but the mute is not on and the volume controls are properly set.  The default device is Conexant High Definition Audio output, per the sound and audio devices properties hardware  tab the device status states "this device is working properly."  Is it possible that a Skype or Foxfire update is in conflict with this device?  If so, how do I resolve this situation?
    Thank you.
Description: This package contains the driver for the Conexant High Definition Audio Chip.
PURPOSE: Routine Details and specifications File name:
    sp34204.exe [1/1, 1.38M]
System requirements: HP SoftPaq Number SP32646, "Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High Definition Audio," (or later) must be installed on the notebook before installing this SoftPaq. Look for HP SoftPaq Number SP32646 (or later) in the Software and Driver Downloads section of the www.hp.com website. Released: 2006-12-01 Version: 3.26.0.0 A Compatibility: Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, Microsoft Windows XP Media Center, Microsoft Windows XP Fix/Enhancement: Fixes issue where the notebook speakers do not work after headphones or earphones are used for a while and then unplugged.

Re: Fixes issue where the notebook speakers do not work after headphones or earphones are used for a while and then unplugged.
HOW DO YOU FIX THIS?? I cannot find the correct Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High Definition Audio that works with my computer...
    My computer:
    VISTA
    HP Compaq 2230s Notebook PC
Everytime I use my headphones for more than an hour or two, the **bleep** audio will not play on my notebook's speakers, just through the headphones. Usually restarting a few times resolves the problem, but not this time. If I knew that HP computers sucked this much I would never have spent so much money on this one!!!
Can you please tell me how to fix this problem once and for all? Thanks!!

  • Loss of sound on HP Pavilion dV6000 - Vista

I've suddenly lost sound on my dV600 laptop.  Volume control shows 100% and small green bar moves when sound should be heard.  This is affecting all sound:  internet, cd's, stored music, etc.  Sound is fine when I plug in a headphone or external speaker.  Mixer shows "internal speaker/headphones" as the application - icon shows a headphone.  Other than a Window's update, I've changed nothing.   Can anyone help ?   Thanks.

You may have a driver issue, try uninstall the audio driver from add/remove programs in control panel.
