Issue w/ Categories Filter, "@Action"

I utilize David Allen's GTD system for time management.  For those who are unfamiliar, it consists of arranging tasks into cateories or "buckets" to create ordered lists.  My categories for the purposes of this application are as follows; @Action, @Calls, @Deferred, @Errands, @Home, @Personal, and @Waiting For (the "@" symbol causes the string to be placed at the top of the categories list).
For some reason, when I filter by @Action, all my tasks show up, no matter the category association.  For example when the @Action filter is applied, all my @Calls, @Deferred, @Errands, etc. show up in the list. Every other filter in my categories list works flawlessly.  WTF?
I checked through each and every task to make sure that only the applicable category was checked (1 per task) and everything looks fine. I tried resetting my device without any luck.  I checked through the task mappings in the sync configuration and everything looked fine.  I then tried deleting the @Action category from Outlook and re-syncing the device - no good.  I added the @Action category back into the master categories list - nada. I made sure everything was correct in Outlook and overwrote the device data with outlook data - nothing.

hello,
for my comprehension, are you talking about using GTD's ideas to the regular Tasks application?
try naming your category @Actions or @Action1 and see if it's better. Maybe the @Action is a technical keyword.

  • Behavior of "Stop Filter Execution" filter action

    What is the intended behavior of the "Stop Filter Execution" filter action? I cannot find any recent documentation on that issue. When part of manually run filters, is "Stop Filter Execution" designed to stop all remaining filters for all messages if the filter that contains it matches once? That appears to be the behavior for me. When included in the first filter of several filters, only the first filter matches and the log only indicates instances of matching of the first filter, although several other subsequent filters should match for several messages that do not match the first filter.
    I appreciate the functionality of Thunderbird's filters, but am trying to find a solution for implementing more complex boolean logic for moving messages from my Inbox using manually run filters. I have several filters set up for categorizing messages, but I would like to implement the filters such that they are not applied to starred messages. Currently, I have logic in most of the filters to not match a starred message by using the "Match all of the following" option, however this prevents use of OR logic in the filter and leads to an increased number of filters. I would like to set up the filters such that a first filter matches starred messages and prevents the remaining filters from being run only for those messages which match the first filter.
    It may be that the behavior that I am seeing is a bug specific to my installation, but I'd like to get confirmation on the expected behavior and see if others have encountered this issue. I am working under the assumption that the behavior of "Stop Filter Execution" should stop subsequent filter processing only for messages on which a containing filter matches as indicated in the old post at https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/mozilla.feedback.thunderbird.prerelease/rUXaQ0NdZvM, but that assumption may be wrong.
    Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

    Ok, it looks like this is a documented bug, for example at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=552936. I should have searched bug reports before posting here. I'll track things with the bug reports. Thanks.

  • SAP QM Issues regarding follow-up action after Usage Decision

    Dear Gurus -
    Kindly need your expertise to resolve these issues regarding follow-up action.
    1. After taking the UD i need to trigger the follow-up action to send an email with the long text to a group of people. As per standard SAP the email goes to the person taking the UD. Kindly can some one explain what & where do i need to make the changes. Also please let me know what is the customized Email ID table where mail ID's will be stored which fuction module can extract.
    2. Can i also use the same functionality for partial lots during inprocess inspection. I need to send an email to a group in case the valuation is rejected for that operation.
    Any response is highly appreciated.
    Thank You.

  • Archive as a filter action

    In my opinion, it would be a great feature to have "Archive" as a filter action.
    That way I could create a filter that finds messages older than X days and "archive" them.
    This way we, the users, will not depend on other users writing and maintaining add-ons, which do this very simple action.
    I hope this is consider as a feature request.
    Thank you.

    I will be rude and mark my reply as a solution, even though it is not. It gets it off my dashboard of unsolved and only then Bug fix will solve it properly.
    It does not close the thread or prevent further comment however

  • Issue in Custom Filter in PWA of Ms Project Server 2010

    Hi,
    i am facing an issue on setting a cutom filter in the Project Center view of PWA. I am setting a custom filter and it works fine.
    Projects are filtered as per the filter. However, on selecting the filter for editing, I get a message viz. "Failure. There was an error processing the request".
    I am looking for pointers and guidance to resolve this issue. Any helpin this regard will be appreciated.

    Hi,
    Evenif you already checked this out, it is likely to be a security issue. This functionality is managed by permissions in PWA server settings and not in the Central Admin.
    Check this article :

    Check if you're not belonging to multiple categories that might have the given permission disabled.

  • Issues with table filter during navigation between task-flows

    Hello everyone,
    I'm looking for a workaround to resolve two issues about the table filter. They are:
    1) If I type something in a filter and I change tha page (in a different task flow) when I return on the first page there is the previous search plus the string "%*". Here the video example: http://screencast.com/t/FbVenZGm
    2) In the same scenario, if I click enter on this filter the system returns this message error: "Attempt to set a parameter name that does not occur in the SQL: vc_temp_1 ". Here the video example: http://screencast.com/t/yMs6rNDF
    I have found something interesting in this thread: task-flow table filtering behaviour related to bug 8602867
    Anyway, I have implemented the solution reported in this document: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/learnmore/april2012-otn-harvest-1609383.pdf (pp. 8-11). This solution works fine with my master table, but it doesn't with the detail table.
    Have you any idea for this kind of behavior?
    Thanks in advance,
    Baduel

    Sudipto,
    each table has a binding on a page fragment in this way:
    <af:table [...] binding="#{backingBeanScope.MyBackingBean.masterTable}">
    <af:table [...] binding="#{backingBeanScope.MyBackingBean.detailTable}">
    In the pageDef I have two methods, each one of the VOImpl class related to the table:
    <methodAction IterBinding="MasterTableVO1Iterator"
    id="clearOutstandingImplicitViewCriteriaMaster"
    RequiresUpdateModel="true" Action="invokeMethod"
    MethodName="clearOutstandingImplicitViewCriteria"
    IsViewObjectMethod="true" DataControl="MyDataControl"
    InstanceName="MyDataControl.MasterTableVO1"/>
    <methodAction IterBinding="DetailTableVO2Iterator"
    id="clearOutstandingImplicitViewCriteriaDetail"
    RequiresUpdateModel="true" Action="invokeMethod"
    MethodName="clearOutstandingImplicitViewCriteria"
    IsViewObjectMethod="true" DataControl="MyDataControl"
    InstanceName="MyDataControl.DetailTableVO1"/>
    MyBackingBean class:
    public class MyBackingBean {
    private RichTable masterTable;
    private RichTable detailTable;
    /*getter methods here*/
    public void setMasterTable(RichTable masterTable) {
    this.masterTable = masterTable;
    resetTableFilter(1);
    public void setDetailTable(RichTable detailTable) {
    this.detailTable = detailTable;
    resetTableFilter(2);
    /*This method returns the phase id */
    private String printCurrenPhaseID() {
    FacesContext fctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    Map requestMap = fctx.getExternalContext().getRequestMap();
    PhaseId currentPhase=(PhaseId)requestMap.get("oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.lifecycle.CURRENT_PHASE_ID");
    // System.out.println("currentPhase = "+currentPhase);
    return currentPhase.toString();
    public void resetTableFilter(int tab) {
    String phase = printCurrenPhaseID();
    FilterableQueryDescriptor queryDescriptor;
    if(phase.startsWith("RENDER_RESPONSE")) { // Only in this phase the binding is ready
    switch(tab) {
    case 1:
    queryDescriptor = (FilterableQueryDescriptor) getMasterTable().getFilterModel();
    if (queryDescriptor != null && queryDescriptor.getFilterCriteria() != null) {
    queryDescriptor.getFilterCriteria().clear();
    // PPR refresh a jsf component
    AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance().addPartialTarget(getMasterTable());
    break;
    case 2:
    queryDescriptor = (FilterableQueryDescriptor) getDetailTable().getFilterModel();
    if (queryDescriptor != null && queryDescriptor.getFilterCriteria() != null) {
    queryDescriptor.getFilterCriteria().clear();
    // PPR refresh a jsf component
    AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance().addPartialTarget(getDetailTable());
    break;
    default: return;
    invokeClearViewCriteria(tab);
    public BindingContainer getBindings() {
    return BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
    /* This method invokes the exposed method in my fragment */
    public void invokeClearViewCriteria(int tab) {
    BindingContainer bindings = getBindings();
    OperationBinding operationBinding;
    if(tab == 1)
    operationBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("clearOutstandingImplicitViewCriteriaMaster");
    else if(tab == 2)
    operationBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("clearOutstandingImplicitViewCriteriaDetail");
    else
    return;
    if(operationBinding != null) {
    operationBinding.execute();
    Finally I have two identical exposed methods in the VOImpl classes of the tables:
    public void clearOutstandingImplicitViewCriteria() {
    // we only want to remove the stuff that was added though the table
    //filter (or a default search form)
    // "__ImplicitViewCriteria__" is the magic name for this VC
    ViewCriteria vcDefault = this.getViewCriteria(ViewCriteriaManager.IMPLICIT_VIEW_CRITERIA_NAME);
    if (vcDefault != null) {
    //Clear the stored values
    vcDefault.clear();
    //And refresh the collection
    this.executeQuery();
    Please note that this workaround works fine with my master table, but i does not with the detail table.
    Thanks again.

  • Issue with applying Event Action filters

    Dear friends,
    A general question on Event Action filters. There is a signature with sig ID 6257.
    The following is the event action filter configuration:

    filters edit DHCP
    signature-id-range 6257
    subsignature-id-range 0

    filter-item-status Enabled
    stop-on-match True
    os-relevance not-relevant
    exit
    Even though a valid DHCP offer is being given by the DHCP server, this alert is getting fired.
    We have even excluded the IP's of the DHCP Servers - 172.20.20.10 and 172.20.20.11 from the Attacker Address range parameter in the signature but still this alert gets fired.

    Some things to check:
    1) Is the filter in the active list? Filters can be enabled or disabled, but they can also be active ro inactive. You've only show a part of your configuration so I can't tell if the filter is part of the active list.
    2) Are there actions other than produce-alert for the signature? Or is an event action override adding other actions?
    Produce-alert is not the only action that can cause an alert to be generated. The produce-verbose-alert, request-snmp-trap, log-attacker-packets, log-victim-packet, and log-pair-packets will also cause alerts to be generated. Modify the filter to also remove these actions.
    3) The alert you've shown is a Summary Alert. There may be an issue with Summarization and the Filters. Try modifying the signature to set it to FireAll with no summarization.
    4) If you have multiple filters then check the order of the filters. If the event is matching an earlier filter where the stop-on-match is set to True, then it will not check the event against this filter. Either move this filter up higher in the filter list, or change earlier filters to be "stop-on-match false".
    5) Also check to see if you are running the latest 5.1(7) or 6.0(4) Service pack. If running earlier 5.1 or 6.0 versions you might be hitting a bug that could have already been fixed.
    If none of the above help, then contact the TAC. It could be that you may have foung a bug that the sensor development team is unaware of.
    To help in identifying the problem take a packet capture of the packets from 172.20.20.10 for several minutes around the time when the sensor is generating these alerts.
    This way the team can both check if the signature is firing correctly, and if the filters are working correctly for that signature.

  • Issue with parameter/filter - trying to display null rows

    This is how my data looks in the database
    Order_ID -----   Vendor
    ID123             NULL
    ID234             ABC
    ID456             NULL
    ID001             CDE
    I want to create an SSRS report with a filter for vendors
     *All Vendors should be checked off by default
     *Users should be able to select multiple vendors
    So I started by creating the VendorDataSet, the query looks like
    SELECT VendorName
    FROM Vendor
    WHERE Active = 1
    *This query will return all active vendors stored in my vendor table
      Then, I created my parameter @prmVendor and it looks like:
     -Data Type: Text
    -Allow blank value("")
    -Allow multiples values
    Available Values:
    -Dataset: Vendor
    -Value field: vendor_name
    -Label field: vendor_name
    The main query of the report looks like
    Select Order_ID, Vendor
    FROM Order
    LEFT JOIN Vendors
    ON Order.VendorID = Vendor.ID
    WHERE Vendor IN (@prmVendor)
    So at this point it does what is supposed to do except - that when I run the query with all the vendors selected,
    the query will only return the ones with vendors populated.
    Order_ID -----   Vendor
    ID234             ABC
    ID001             CDE
    I've tried adding the following to my VendorDataSet:
    SELECT VendorName
    FROM Vendor
    WHERE Active = 1
    UNION ALL
    SELECT '' -- I've also tried SELECT NULL
     But when I run the report and look at the list of vendor displayed - it won't show the empty row in the vendor drop down filter
    thus, my main query will ignore the orders with no vendors.
     Any ideas on how to fix this issue?
    -Alan

    So I changed my VendorDataSet to look like this:
    ;WITH cteVendors AS (
    SELECT VendorName
    FROM Vendor
    WHERE Active = 1
    UNION ALL
    SELECT ''
    SELECT (CASE WHEN Vendor IS NULL THEN '' ELSE Vendor END) AS VendorName
    FROM cteVendors
    This allowed me to show an empty box in my drop down filter see link for
    image
    Is there a way to make some changes to my main query so this works? so if the user was to select the blank box the query will return something like :
    Order_ID -----   Vendor
      ID123             NULL
       ID456             NULL
    -Alan

  • Report Issue - A subquery filter may not reference the current report

    Hi,
    I a, trying to create a drill down report - I am getting below error when I drill down from summary report to detail -
    A subquery filter may not reference the current report (or contain a circular reference to any report).
    Error Details
    Error Codes: S6C66RYK:WIF3IYGO
    Recursion limit exceeded in Xml Expression Visitor
    The issue is I have a budget report which will drill down to display amount by each period -
    Jan-10 Feb-10 Mar-10
    1223 123 10
    Now I am trying to display detail GL transactions by clicking the amount field.
    This means summary report should pass period along with amount to display detail GL transactions.
    Please help me to resolve this issue.
    Thanks,
    Poojak

    Explain exactly how you create your 2 reports.
    The second one must have "is prompted" filters if you want it to use the values of the first one.

  • Issues with limit/filter on outer join table in BQY

    I'm converting a series of BQY's from Brio 6.6 to Hyperion 9.3. I have some questions about the "use ODBC outer join syntax on limits" option in the OCE. I sort of understand this option's purpose, but I don't completely understand the SQL I'm seeing. For example Brio 6.6 is generating the following SQL statement:
    SELECT * FROM tblA AL1 LEFT OUTER JOIN tblB AL38 ON (AL38.ParentID=AL1.ChildID AND
    AL38.Data='SomeData') WHERE ((NOT AL38.Action IS NULL))
    Now, Hyperion 9.3 generated the SQL statement as follows:
    SELECT * FROM tblA AL1 LEFT OUTER JOIN tblB AL38 ON (AL38.ParentID=AL1.ChildID AND
    AL38.Data='SomeData') AND (NOT AL38.Response IS NULL))
    My questions are:
    1) Why isn't the "NOT AL38.Action IS NULL" statement included in the outer join in Brio? My limited understanding of the "use ODBC outer join syntax on limits" seems to indicate that it should end up there. I want the SQL to look like this, but I don't know why Brio generates this SQL.
    2) How can I get Hyperion to generate the same SQL as Brio? And still use the OCE with "use ODBC outer join syntax on limits" selected?

    Setting the Cardinality of Department > Employee role to OptionalOne
    gives rise to cartesian join (which is a bigger issue).
    Therefore, the Cardinality of Department > Employee role should remain as
    OptionalMany (default).
    This means, the outer join problem still remains unsolved. I have, therefore,
    unmarked the above answer by me.
    The question is - why has Report Builder been designed in such a way that the primary entity is always the child entity when attributes are selected from both parent and child entities?
    Most people desire that all the rows of the parent entity be fetched irrespective of whether there are corresponding rows in the child entity or not. Report Builder tool should not dictate what the user wants to get, meaning it is not right to assume
    that the focus of the report is Employee when attributes are selected from both Department and Employee. Report Builder should not make the child entity (i.e., Employee) as the primary entity when the user selects attributes from the child entity after
    having selected attributes from the parent entity.
    I am sorry to say that clients may not accept the Report Builder tool as this does not fetch the records as desired.
    I hope there is someone who can suggest how the outer join problem can be solved by just tweaking the properties of the report model (SMDL).
    Besides, the end users are business users and are not tech savvy. They are not expected to modify queries. They would simply drag and drop attributes from entities to create adhoc reports.

  • Camera Raw Filter & Actions

    Not sure if this is correct section so bear with me if I am in the worng place.  I am using Win7 64 bit CS6 perpetual.
    I have installed Dr. Browns Script for "Edit layer in ACR" which I have included in an action.  So far so good.
    The action will take the layer and open it up in ACR without issue.  What I cannot get the action to do is to record the changes I make in ACR such as saturation 100% etc.
    While this is not a major issue for individual images, it does mean that the action cannot be left unattended for automatic processing.
    Is there anyway I can get the action to record these changes?  I am not a "scripter" so probably need a fairly simple solution!!
    I know that Doc Brown says he will not be able to give any more help on his scripts - certainly this feature now seems to be part of the CC version.
    Thanks for any help.
    Dave

    As I see it getting the settings is only half the battle to have an action that would playback an ACR edit. I think it would be possible to know what changes were made during the edit. It would take some work. However I don't see a way to have the action playback those edits in ACR.
    All the 'Edit in ACR' does is converts a normal layer to a smart object. Edits the contents to save as a temp tiff file, then replaces the SO contents with that tiff. Once a layer is a smart object and the contents is a format that supports editing in ACR. The ACR dialog is invoked in that script the same way you would open any smart object with the line
    executeAction( stringIDToTypeID( "placedLayerReplaceContents" ), desc, DialogModes.NO );
    That executeAction returns an empty descriptor so you can't get the setting from there.
    Same with the executeAction to edit a smart object
    executeAction( stringIDToTypeID( "placedLayerEditContents" ), new ActionDescriptor(), DialogModes.NO );
    I don't see a way to create an descriptor to supply the ACR settings and it also returns a empty descriptor.
    Unless you know of a way to script the ACR dialog.
    I think there are several ways to automate ACR edits. But   not with Smart Objects.

  • Issue with setting an Action Listener for a Command Button

    Hi all,
    I'm trying to set an action listener for a CoreCommanButton in a backing bean. Here's my code:
         CoreCommandButton editBtn = new CoreCommandButton();
              MethodBinding mb = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getApplication().createMethodBinding("#{backBean.doButtonAct}",null);
              editBtn.setActionListener(mb);
    //Action listener method
         public void doButtonAct(ActionEvent actionEvent)
    I keep getting a javax.faces.el.MethodNotFoundException error. However when I remove the ActionEvent parameter in doButtonAct(), I get a wrong number of arguments error.
    So i'm guessing there is something wrong with the parameters i accept in my action listener method. what can be causing this issue?
    Cheers.

    I figured this out.
    Since doButtonAct() requires an ActionEvent object as a parameter, i needed to define the parameter type when I create the method binding.
    Solution:
         Class argsString[] = new Class[] { ActionEvent.class };
              MethodBinding mb = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getApplication().createMethodBinding("#{backBean.doButtonAct}",argsString);

  • "Totals calculation issue" when I filter member used in an scope calculation with descendant aggregation

    Hello everybody
    I have a Geography dimension (Country -> State -> City) and 2 related Fact Tables: "Revenues" (with measure Revenue) and "Revenue Goal" (with measure Revenue Goal)  and  created a dummy measure into the Revenue Fact table
    (in the dsv) to calculate the Revenue not planed (by city) using Scope.
    The calculated measure "NotPlannedRevenue" is defined using a Dummy measure on the Revenue FacTable with null like default value, later using Scope I have calculated the values in order to get correctly Totals Values over the a Geography hierarchy
    which is working properly. The MDX script for the measure is
    SCOPE([Measures].[NotPlannedRevenue]);
    SCOPE ([Geography].[GeoHier].[City].Members);
    THIS=iif([Measures].[Revenue Goal]=0 , [Measures].[Revenue] ,0 );
    END SCOPE;
    SCOPE( [Geography].City.[All]);
    This =sum( Descendants([Geography].[GeoHier].CurrentMember,,LEAVES),[Measures].[NotPlannedRevenue]);
    END SCOPE;
    SCOPE( [Geography].State.[All]);
    This =sum( Descendants([Geography].[GeoHier].CurrentMember,,LEAVES),[Measures].[NotPlannedRevenue]);
    END SCOPE;
    END SCOPE;
    When I check the data,  I get "Totals" well calculated.
    The issue is when I filter Cities from the Geography dimension, the total values are not being calculated using only the selected cities. I have problems in the totals by City, State, Country.
    The total for the State "Karnatak" must by "0" and the grand total must be "10".
    Please someone could help me to solve the way which I must write this MDX or maybe I have to use another strategy.
    Thanks in advanced.
    Gelder de la Ossa

    You shouldn't need the second and third SCOPE statements (on the All members of City and Country) if the first one has been configured correctly - what happens if you remove them?

  • Performance issue on Date filter

    In my where condition I wanted a date filter on sale date.  I want all sales after 9/1/2014.
    CASE1
    If I explicitly use date filter like
    SaleDate > '2014-09-01 00:00:00:000' I am getting the result in 2 seconds.
    CASE2
    Since I may need to use this data value again, I created a date table with single column "date" and loaded the value '2014-09-01 00:00:00:000' .
    So now my where is like
    SaleDate > (Select date from dateTable)
    When I run this , the result does not show up even after 10 mins. Both date types are datetime. I am baffled.  Why is this query not coming up with the result?

    As mentioned by Erland, for the optimizer, both situation are very different. With a literal, the optimizer can properly estimate the number of qualifying rows and adapt the query plan appropriately. With a scalar subquery, the value is unknown at compile
    time, and the optimizer will use heuristics to accommodate any value. In this case, the selection for all rows more recent than September 1st 2014 is probably a small percentage of the table.
    I can't explain why the optimizer or engine goes awry, because the subquery's result is a scalar, and shouldn't result in such long runtime. If you are unlucky, the optimizer expanded the query and actually joins the two tables. That would make the indexes
    on table dateTable relevant, as well as distribution and cardinality of dateTable's row values. If you want to know, you would have to inspect the (actual) query plan.
    In general, I don't think your approach is a smart thing to do. I don't know why you want to have your selection date in a table (as opposed to a parameter of a stored procedure), but if you want to stick to it, maybe you should break the query up into something
    like this. The optimizer would still have to use heuristics (instead of more reliable estimates), but some unintended consequences could disappear.
    Declare @min_date datetime
    Set @min_date = (SELECT date FROM dateTable)
    SELECT ...
    FROM ...
    WHERE SaleDate > @min_date
    If you use a parameter (or an appropriate query hint), you will probably get performance close to your first case.

  • Template Issue in Custom Filter

    Hi Experts,
    I have written a custom filter that is working on criteria. If some criteria meets, based on that criteria filter runs a search query in UCM and then send Email to some users. I have created a Template for email.
    Here is my filter code :
                   ResultSet results = ws.createResultSetSQL(query); //search returns 30 records
                   DataResultSet rs = new DataResultSet();
                   rs.copy(results);
                   dataBinder.addResultSet("SearchResults", rs);
                   cxt.setCachedObject("DataBinder", dataBinder);
              InternetFunctions.sendMailTo("[email protected]", "EMAIL_TEMPLATE", "test sub", cxt);
    In Email Template, i am looping SearchResults resultset.
    The problem is that in Template resultset does not show any record. Infact, if I set any other value in dataBinder, that is not avialable in template.
    Please help guys...!1
    Thanks
