Issue w/Witcher 3 Pre-Order $10 Certificates, Store Pickup and Steelbook

I picked up my order yesterday for In-Store Pickup & had a couple of issues. First, when I was picking up my order, the associate helping me tried to pick up the two large boxes at the same time & I watched as they slipped from his grip & he dropped them in front of me. The outer sleeves of the boxes came unattached to the boxes & since one of the boxes fell on the other one, there was some slight damage to the box, there's a large crease on the top now. I asked him if he could grab another two that weren't damaged since they were obviously dropped right in front of me, but the associate said there were no other ones available. To him it might not seem like a big deal, but if I am going to spend the large amount of money on the Collector's Edition of an item, I like EVERYTHING to be pristine & perfect, even the outer packaging! That was disappointing.
On top of that, I asked about the Witcher 3 Best Buy Exclusive Steelbooks I was supposed to get w/my Pre-Order & he said they had not yet arrived, & that two would be set aside for me & to call the store later that day to see if they were delivered. Luckily I was able to get them, but I figured that it shouldn't be my responsibility to stay on top of the shipment, I felt that I should have at least been the one to RECEIVE a call since my order was at the risk of being incomplete, & ME having to call the store to track the shipment is an inconvenience to me.
My other concern is I checked my reward zone purchase history & while I already received the points for picking up my Pre-Order Games, I have NOT received the Victory Can Be Pre-Ordered $10 in Reward Certificates for the games, there is NO record of it in my Purchase History to reflect the Pre Order Bonus. Normally it is shown in the same section of points for the purchase (it can be seen when I check the details of my Mortal Kombat X Pre Order picked up a month ago).

I have to admit, the circumstances you’ve described around your The Witcher: Wild Hunt pre-order are pretty frustrating to me. Obtaining your SteelBook should have been standard protocol, not a matter of “luck”. Also, I can completely understanding wanting a Collector’s Edition that’s in good shape and I greatly apologize if you received one that isn’t in perfect condition!
One positive note I can add here is that you likely have nothing to worry about with the $10 Reward Certificate portion of your pre-order. These points generally don’t show up until 15-20 days after you pick up your pre-order and within this timeframe, they may or may not even show as pending.
If for any reason you don’t see the 500 points ($10) in the timeframe mentioned above, please send me a private message via the link in my signature. Keep in mind, the points may appear back when you placed your pre-order, so be sure to look there as well.

    Right out of the gates, I know I'm far from the first person to have concerns about amiibos and pre-orders associated with them.
    I have all of wave 3 as well as the Best Buy exclusive Meta-Knight preordered for In-Store Pickup, but my Wave 2 preorders have been extremely hit or miss thus far. My Little Mac never showed up in store, and when the CS representative there offered to have one shipped to me, it was cancelled. My Pit never showed up, and I was never even given a chance for a contingency. I had just missed out on it entirely.
    My friends who pre-ordered with Ship-to-Home have had little to no issue, so if possible, I would like to change my preorders to be handled that way.
    Overall, and like many others, I'm very disappointed with Best Buy's In-Store Pickup option. As a result, I find myself backing up pre-orders with other retailers. I'm not wild about the concept of preordering with Best Buy being such a gamble. If there's any way to shift me over to Best Buy's more reliable Ship-to-Home option, I would very much like to do it.

    The amiibo figures are wildly popular! I can understand why you would be concerned with your store pickup pre-order if you haven't had the best of luck with your previous ones, which I am deeply sorry to hear about. 
    Sadly, as the amiibos are currently sold out online, we would be unable to modify your order for shipping to your home. With that said, at this time your best bet would be to keep the pre-orders as they are. I apologize if this was not the response you were hoping for when you reached out to us on the forum.

    I'm in the same situation.  I was up trying to get on the Verizon page at 11:55, kept getting the ECPD error.  When finally got through, the Silver Iphone Plus 64 showed arrival of 9-19.  At every step of the process, it seemed that I was ordering a phone that would arrive on day1.  At no point did it say this was an estimate.  At no point did it say it might change.  In a big yellow box, it said "9-19".  Ordered it, then got confirmation email stating it should arrive at 9-19.   Seems like all should be good, right?  Order site said 9-19, I've got a confirmation email saying 9-19, done and done.
    Then I check the website, and suddenly it changed to 10-14?!?!?!?  I feel like this was a bait and switch.  I was able to pickup an iphone5 in a local store on launch day, and would not have locked myself into a preorder through Verizon if I had known this would happen!
    So, that leads back to the original questions.  Lets assume I walk into a Verizon store on 9-19, and there is an available iphone6 plus just sitting there, can I either get that phone as fulfillment of my pre-order.  Or, cancel my pre-order and buy that phone right then and there?

  • Missing Pre-Order $10 Certificate

    I recently pre-ordered and purchased Shadows of Mordor, and I don't think my $10 RZ certificate is processing correctly. When I pre-ordered, I selected the XB1 version, but chose to switch to the PS4 version when I picked it up.
    I asked the CS Rep when I picked it up if switching to the PS4 version would void my RZ Cert reward, but he had already canceled out the original pre-order at that point. And then told me I wouldn't qualify for it now due to the way pre-orders are handled. 
    I'm hoping someone can look at my purchase history and see that I preordered the game and purchased it - I just ended up buying it on a different platform - and grant me the $10 RZ Cert.

    The 500 bonus points you can receive by way of the "Get $10" pre-order promotion is a great offer, so I can understand feeling concerned that the last minute change with your Middle-earth: Shadows of Mordor pre-order may prevent the bonus points from posting to your My Best Buy™ account.  If your pre-order had to be cancelled because of the change from Xbox One to PS4, then the bonus points may not post to your account because it took place after the game was officially released.

    If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:

    Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
    Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
    Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.

    Five tracks are already available, and the Store will immediately charge you $1.29 for each, coming to $6.45.
    When the others come available, which will be July 15, you will be charged the remainder.  That will be the pre-order album price of $10.99 minus the $6.45 you're paying now, which comes to $4.54.
    So the price is $10.99 for the full 14-track album.
    (If you live in a place that charges sales tax on online purchases, add it to each number above to get the total.)

    What the heck.
    I placed an order within 24 hours of the iphone 5s debut. The order is of course still stuck in "processing purgatory".
    My card has been charged for the $10 shipping fee. But not the full price.
    (I thought orders over $100 were free shipping?)
    I know people who have walked into stores and simply bought the phone they wanted. So random walk ins are basicaly cutting the line of folks that already placed an order?
    I'm a long time Apple guy. Now I do not expect a fricking gold star and red carpet treatment. But for crying out loud, you would think if you order from the bloody manufacturers website you might be able to count on decent, if not good, customer service.
    Instead I feel like I am at the DMV trying to get a car registered without a pink slip.
    I am not the only person stuck in this jam. Plenty of us do not have the time to go wait at an Apple retail store for hours. I can only order online, or run into a store on my lunch break, if I skip lunch.
    Not saying I am going to "leave apple forever" or somesuch foolishness. But I sure as heck won't try ordering off of the Apple website EVER again.
    On to an actual question.
    How on earth do you change an online order to in store pickup?
    I can find the model I want as available at a few stores that are about 50 miles away. But I am afraid if I cancel my order then make a new one I'll end up with no pending order and a bunch of stores that show no stock by the time my renewal discount refreshes.
    ps. hilarious that purgatory is an ok word, but h3ll is not. Lets see if "heck" works.

  • Issues with gaming pre-order shipping - improvements needs to be made

    Titanfall comes out today. I pre-ordered this game a few weeks ago on BestBuy.com because the 20% off and the $10 certificate were too hard to pass up. I placed my order, put expedited shipment since I knew I couldn't make it to Best Buy after work on Tuesday (I carpool right now) and called it a day.
    Except here's the thing. Not only did the game not ship in time to arrive by today, it shipped UPS Standard instead of expedited. Talking to some others this seems to be a trend. 
    Certificates, 20% off, these are all great incentives to pre-order my games at Best Buy, but not being able to meet release day shipping even for Elite Plus members who get free expedited shipping?  That isn't even counting the fact that Best Buy didn't ship expedited like they were supposed to. Now I won't get the biggest release of 2014 so far until tomorrow. A day later than I would from most other retailers. These issues really need to be improved and it is largely an operational thing; the games have been sitting in your warehouse for at least a week, why my game didn't ship until 3pm Central time on Monday is beyond me.

    I've had the chance to review both of your accounts and can confirm that your orders were, indeed, shipped via expedited shipping. Depending on on your proximity to the fulfillment center that processed your order, UPS Ground may be listed as the shipping method rather than UPS Second Day on UPS' tracking site. Rest assured though that your copies of Titanfall are all expected to arrive within the 2-3 day window provided when you placed your orders.

    just wondering do u guys think apple should or could do pre-order at the apple retail store? save people alot of time and them alot of time as well. For me i would have to drive almost 2 hours to get to the nearest apple store, which i cant commit to that everyday hoping they would have an ipad 2 in thier shipment. So if they could do pre-order people would stop calling in every day to bug them about it, and sometime might not even make it in on time to get it before it sold out.

    i did the same..what i did was i ordered mine on apple.com early in the morning on the 12th (which pushed to 3-4 weeks) then i also place pre-order with best buy(1-3 weeks)
    just a little tips for those out there, you should pre-order urs online now or do the best buy pre-order and in that mean time just keep checking with local apple store and maybe you'll get luck and u can always cancel those order. Apple wont charge you until the product start shipping. just a good way to cover all your ground.

    Hi, I pre ordered battlefield hardline for the xbox one by depositing $5 the day before the release date. I came back to pick it up the next day and paid I believe a total of $50. I'm not exactly sure if the $5 deposit was applied or not but I don't see any 1000 points ($10 certificate) pending. I did get the pre order bonus code on my receipt though. They even asked me for my email so the code could be emailed as well. I just want to make sure if the $5 deposit was actually applied and if not, could you please help me get refunded $5 and get my $10 certificate if for some reason, it didn't count as a pre order? Thanks in advance.

    The "Get $10" pre-order offer is a great way to earn some bonus points, and as long as you picked up your Battlefield Hardline pre-order within seven days of the official release date, you should qualify for the 500 bonus points ($10 = 500 points).  It can generally take up to 20 days for points to officially post to a member's account, so 4/6/2015 would be your 20th day.
    I looked over the receipt from when you picked up your pre-order and it does look like the $5 deposit was applied correctly.  Your discount for being an Unlocked member brought the price down to $47.99 and with sales tax the total was about $50; however, that is when your $5 deposit was applied.  The final receipt should show that your credit card was charged about $45.

  • Why do pre-orders in ibook store no longer show up on ipad

    I have noticed that now when a pre-order book is selected that when you go to your purchases on Ipad that it no longer shows any pre-orders as it did before.  Does anyone know how to access pre-order that you have made from you ipad?

    Are the disks self powered? Try a SMC Reset:
    SMC RESET

    Shut down the computer.
    Unplug the computer's power cord and ALL peripherals.
    Wait 15 seconds.
    Attach the computers power cable.
    Wait another 5 seconds and press the power button to turn on the computer.
    The 5 second timing is important to a successful reset.
