Issue when broadcast a template by email

Hi folks,
When I broadcast a template which consists of 2 queries by email, the content of email I recieved is only source code of .css file I used in the template.
But I broadcast the query of the template, it's working fine.
Can anyone please provide some inputs?

I am on BEx 3.5.
I wanna realize information broadcasting.
I use In BEx Broadcaster in Publish menu of web application designer to send a web template by email.
The web template consists of 2 queries.
I use the broadcast wizard send the web template step by step, but the content of the email I recieved is not the right report, it is the source code of the web template.
However I broadcast the query of the web template, it's working fine.

The template is getting executed properly through WAD. Even, in portal the report is being generated correctly. The problem is when I try to broadcast PDF format to Email.

I strongly recommend you to be on latest Java patches for your SPS from the service market place.
Also please check whether the note 1052659 - Requirements for customer messages concerning export to PDF is helpful to you.
Especially check this portion of the note is relevant to you.

Authorization Issue when Broadcasting a Web Template

Hello All,
we want to broadcast a WebTemplate as an Online Link.
The User can Broadcast Queries and so on without issues.
But when they try to send a WebTemplate, they get an Authorization Error RSRD 003.
"You do not have authorization to display the requested object (for example, Web template, query....). Thats why it is also not possible to load broadcast settings into the broadcaster for the object."
It is not clear for me as the users are not allowed to schedule broadcast settings, but they can send ad hoc.
So what can I do?

Please try this for this issue.
Authorization error: Notification Number RSRD 003
If your issue is workbook based and you run..
TX: rsrt2

and get an authorization error: Notification Number RSRD 003
Then you do not have the correct role assigned to your test user to see this workbook
if this is the case proceed as follows:
in tx: se37
function module..... RSBB_WORKBOOK_AGR_GET
select the test icon
enter your workbook id in the field: wkbid
execute
double click on the entry
result= the missing role
The missing role is the one that you need to assign to your test user to be able to proceed.

Please help, Very strange issue when generate different template

Hello, Can someone help for below Strange Problem.
1. The PDF template files are defined in BI Publisher Layout as a.pdf, b.pdf
2. the parameters are defines in BI too
4. logic as below, generated PDF based on a.pdf. generated PDF based on b.pdf,
then merger a.pdf and b.pdf together.
5. Codes for generated PDF as below

6. the PDF generated by the a.pdf is correct, but generated by the b.pdf is not correct, instead it is same as a.pdf?
so after merger, we get the duplicate pages.
7. Not all templates has same issue, sometime we get this issue, how to fix it?

Field name issues when spawning from template

I am currently spawning a template multiple times in my document (with the field names being changed), but I am NOT spawning them at the end. Rather, they all must get spawned to the same page. This results in every corresponding field on every spawned page having the same prefix, e.g. P1.template.field.
How can I avoid this? Also, is there any way to remove the prefix from just a few field names that I actually WANT to be the same?

For your first question, can your provide a bit of background and describe what you're trying to accomplish?
To simplify this, pretend I have a single template. My template has a textbox that the user fills. When the user reaches the end, he must spawn a new page. This page should appear immediately after the current one so he can continue typing. However, if the user wants to go back and insert a page between two others, the document lets him do that. The problem is that now the newly spawned page has the same field names as the page right after it because both were spawned at the same page number in the document.
For your last question, you can have more than one (hidden) template in a document, so you could set up another for just the fields that you want to be the same, and spawn it.
I would like these fields to appear on the same page as all the other fields... can you do that with multiple spawns? For example, I have a text box on every spawned page with a title in it. I'd like that text box to be identical on all the pages and reflect any changes to the title made on any of the pages. If all the text boxes have different field names, I could write some script to change all the others, but I'd rather not have to add extra code if I can keep those few field names the same.

Different PDF when broadcasting

Hi,
I created a webtemplate and assigned data providers to it. When i execute the webtemplate its running as per design. When i click on the print button, my reports is displayed in the PDF as per designed. AFTER broadcast the template in EMAIL, When opened the PDF attachement in the email, The pdf looks very differently. Do we need to do any settings?

JavaMail issue when one address recipient is corrupt it affects others

Need help dealing with a JavaMail issue when one of the email addresses is corrupt. Specifically it has a mailto: in the address (example is mailto:[email protected] instead of [email protected]). It is affecting all other email addresses listed after the corrupt one. This causes an issue when we try to store emails in our database being that we have our database set to only accept email addresses under 512 characters. Since JavaMail concatenates all the email addresses together once it reaches the corrupt one then we sometimes has a very long email the application is trying to insert into the database and we get an SQLException that the value is too large. Also, all email addresses after the corrupt address are never added.... Basically, we are receiving an email to our corporate mail server. The email has several addresses in the to address section with one being a corrupt email address. Our application wants to log every email address in the to section for logging purposes into our database. We would like to insert a record for all email addresses that are not corrupt. If one incoming email has an address in the to section with mailto: in it then we retrieve an array of all email addresses correctly until we reach the index that has the corrupt address. The corrupt email address is a concatenation of the corrupt email address and all the remaining email address after it (sometimes very long).
First we will get the folder and open it and get all the messages...

When we pull out all the addresses for the current message we have the issue...

I am also stuck in similar problem. I am extracting information of all recipients by only reading the message file and using
mimeMessage.getAllRecipients() but due to the incorrect format according to the javamail I am getting AddressException . So I need a way to extract all recipients with / without correct format as saved in the actual message file .

How do I not show (see screenshot) this information when I respond to someones email?

REPORTS folder does not appear when refreshing dynamic templates

Hi all,
I got one issue when refreshing dynamic templates. For one application, the REPORTS folder does not appear under Eexcel folder.
It works well on my quality environment, but it fails on production server.
It seems there is no differences in security settings, SP version...
I already tried deleting Outlooksoft folder, clear and refresh local folder in client options...
I must miss something but I dont know what to check anymore.
Any suggestion is welcome.

Hi Neil,
I do not have issue with what you mention, everything is ok in Webfolder.
The problem is in the local folder of every user in My Documents folder.
There is a folder Outlooksoft there that is refreshed automatically after connecting to BPC.
Every reports under REPORTS\WIZARDS should be there. Users need to access this folder to open a specific report.
What is strange is that it looks that it works for some users, but does not work for some other users...
Might be security settings?

Issue when Bursting to Email in BI Publisher

We have a requirement in BI Publisher to burst a report to email and to shared folder. We are able to successfully do the same.
But we are facing the following issues
We need to change the name of the file sent as attachment.
When we are bursting to email and file using one query with union we get 2 copies of the file sent as attachment in the email. But we need only a single copy.
We need to add Bcc parameter to the email bursting query
Please provide us with your valuable suggestions to handle these issues.

Broadcasting template via email authorization

Hello,
I've a problem when i tried to broadcast a template web. I try to send a template web to five users. Each user can connect to the portal and execute the template correctly.
When I try to send the email only my user receive the template.
If i add SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW to the other users it works correctly. I suppose there is a problem with authorization but I don't find the solution.
Any idea ?

Issue when using broadcaster in query desinger

Hi All,
we are having issues when we try to either distribute workbooks, it comes with a workbook page but nothing shows up on the page,samething when I try from
query designer and try to publish it using broadcaster,the page does not show up anything.I am not sure why is it doing that.It was working before where it asked me onnce i distributed a workbook to make a new setting to broadcast the workbook.

Hi Gurus,
I was able to sucessfully configure the Launch_Broadcaster. Now the broadcast settings in web template work same as the one when we launch the query to web from query designer(SEND, button function). However the broadcaster in web template(WAD) does not have XML(Ms Excel) output format. It has only MHTML, HTML, PDF & Online Link to Current Data.
Is there a setting we need to perform in order to have XML(Excel) output format in WAD reports. Please advise.

All the limits you mention 100 e-mails at a time and 500 in a four hour time frame are limitations imposed by your mail provider, not Thunderbird. Thunderbird places no restrictions on the maximum number of recipients.

Issue when creating a new email account on Adobe BC

Hi,
I got a big issue when I tried to create a new email account for my site, which is a very email account to me, and I had been using that email address for over 10 years.
Here is the issue, When I created this email account, Adobe BC keep telling me that account has been created (please see the screen shots below), but I did not see this email account on the BC's backend email account list at all. I tried to create that email for over dozen times, it just won't work!
Please anyone who can help me on this, or anyone from Adobe BC tech support team, please contact with me. Becasue I having hard time finding your tech support telephone numeber.

You are saying that you have been using that email address for over 10 years. So you are trying to make an address which already somewhere exists?
That brings me to another thing - is the DNS setup made well? In order to make email address work, you should edit the A-Name & NS. Sometime even more settings (depend on domain registrar).
