Issue when download CSV file

hi all ,
i have created a ALV report . and one of the column is 010 for example  ,when i download it as a CSV file , i found this field is shown as 10 instead of 010 .
Is there a way to solve this ?
best regards
Kevin

Hi,
you can control the outputs in Spread sheets with the help of Excel control statement like replace etc throug ABAP program itself....
ex: in XLS sheets you will get  00001 as 1.
    but in xls sheet if you put ' 00001 you will get output as 00001without depleting zero's.
same we are applying through ABAP statement.
so, for the final Itab field(which ever) you want to retain 00001 use the mentioned statements in my earlier post.
Hope i am clear with my explanation. If you are in Doubt still get back to me..

  • Authentication issue when downloading jar files

    Hi,
    I am having a problem starting up my application when the application server, in this case WebSphere 5.0, requires the user to be authorized.
    In our development environment the server uses basic authentication but once deployed in our test environment we are required to use form based authentication, which I've read that JWS cannot handle.
    The current flow is as follows:-
    1. The user navigates to a protected page and is prompted to enter a user name and password.
    2. Once authenticated they are shown the page that contains a link to a JNLP file.
    3. The user clicks on the link, JWS processes the JNLP file and requests the first jar file.
    4. The application server sees that there is no 'authorization' header set on the request so asks for the credentials again.
    5. For basic authentication the user is prompted by JWS to enter the user name and password and the download succeeds.
    6. For form based authentication, JWS instead receives an HTML login page and, after a short period, reports that it received a corrupted jar file.
    I was wondering if there is any way to pass key/value pairs within the JNLP file (or any other approach to pass this data) that JWS could then use to populate the 'authorization' header of the request to load the jar files?
    If this is not possible, are there any other techniques I could use to get round this?
    I am currently passing other data via the 'JSP as JNLP' approach with my own servlet so can make dynamic changes to the JNLP file as needed.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi ipooley,
    I came upon your posting here after I've been searching for long for some "standard-conform" decision to this IMHO very popular problem and I was not able to find something so far apart of adding some jsessionid to the jar files in the href tag in order to hack the app server to believe the client is authenticated. In my case this doesn't help as well because the authentication is done separately through the company portal. Could you please give me some more details about your "hack"? I've tried to call the jnlp file from an applet (simply with showDocument(jsp generating jnlp) but this doesn't (and actually it can't) work too. And what about the jnlp file itself - if I set the href in the jnlp I have the same problems with the jnlp too?
    thanks in advance for your reply,
    Ilko

  • BEA 9.2 Portal issue: downloaded CSV file contains embedded html code

    We have J2EE application using BEA 9.2 Portal framework, and one of the page has feature to generate report( in pop up window) in CSV file format. As per the history from previous developer, BEA 8.1 didn't have this issue but, after mirgration to 9.2, they started having file download error( incomplete contents ..). To overcome this issue they commented out setting content length to HttpServletResponse as attached below, but this, now, causes html page source code of the parent page( where submit button is clicked to generate csv file report) being rendered along with actual report in the downloaded CSV file. Has anyone have this sort of issue? If so, can you please share your thoughts? or any thoughts in general?
    BEA 9.2 with Portal framework, JDK 15, JSP, Beehive NetUI, Sun Microsystem Solaris server
    Here is the source code that avoids setting content length and reasoning behind it..
    private static void setResponseHeadersForCSVFile(HttpServletResponse response, String filename, int contentLength)
    String mimeType = mimeTypes.getContentType(filename);
    response.reset();
    response.setContentType(mimeType);
    // DON'T explicitly set the content length, since the length of the String or StringBuffer that contains
    // the contents of the CSV file will be character encoded when it is actually written to the output stream, based
    // upon the character encoding of this JVM App Server's settings. So let the JVM App Server framework apply the character
    // encoding AND set the final and truly correct content length header at the time the contents of the String or StringBuffer are truly
    // streamed back to the user.
    //response.setContentLength(contentLength);
    response.addHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename=\"" + filename + "\"; size=" + contentLength);
    }

    1) Yes, the old content.tld is available as part of a web library module as a taglib.tld file. The module is: wlp-services-web-lib.war, which can be found in your bea/weblogic92/portal/lib/modules directory.
    2) The new API is accessible from the ContentManagerFactory class. This provides access to INodeManager, ITypeManager, ISearchManager, etc. The new API is contained within the com.bea.content.federated package. The 8.1.x API in the com.bea.content.manager package including RepositoryManager, NodeOps, SearchOps, etc. has been deprecated with 9.2.
    3) Yes, via the new I*Manager implementations. The entitlement support is for application-scoped visitor roles. Make sure you're using the ISearchManager when performing search operations. This will ensure secure results are returned.

  • Download csv file with strange file name.

    hi, guys:
    We installed Oracle APEX 4.2, and APEX listener 2.0 and Oracle 11g standard edition for our application. But sometimes when user tried to download csv file from an interactive report, the file name was a very strange one, sometimes even no .csv extension. could anyone give me a hint to find documentation about it?
    Thanks.

    a little more information about it:
    I found the file name is "&P16_DIP_START_DATE NOA", which we expect to generate a file named as " some date NOA.csv", but APEX does not recognize the value of variable. For example, if teh value of P16_DIP_START_DATE is 11/15/2012, we expect the file name as "11/15/2012 NOA.csv", but APEX will give us very strange file name replaceing every "/" with / I appreciate anyone who could help me on this issue. But We did not encounter this [roblem on APEX 4.1, OC4J and Oracle 11g R2 enterprise.
    Thanks.
    I just used to_char to output date without "/" and soleved it. The other way is to set application property-->security-->browser security with basic level. This only applies to APEX 4.2. I am lucky for that I am using Apex 4.2.

    I can has editing?Suspect you are trying to explain that "/"s are being rendered as <tt>&amp;#x2F</tt>? If you want to include character entities in forum posts then you have to type the ampersand ("&amp;") as an entity itself, thus: <tt>&amp;amp;#x2F</tt>.Windows or *NIX filenames can't contain "/"s anyway, so you can't use them regardless of how APEX is rendering them. Using a <tt>YYYYMMDD</tt> format is also recommended as it follows date order when using character comparison semantics.

  • Downloading csv file does not ask for where to store file

    Firefox is set to "Always ask me where to save files".
    I have a WebService from which to download a download.csv file via a POST request (must be a POST request and not a GET request due to data issues).
    I'm using jquery.fileDownload.js in the Website to achieve this. When pressing the download button, the screen 'Opening download.csv' opens with the option 'Save File' preset. After pressing OK, an explorer window should occur to be able to choose the file location. But it is NOT shown. Instead nothing more happens.
    What could be the problem?
    P.S.: in other browsers it works fine.

    Hello gnittala,
    thanks for your response.
    1. MIME type is set correctly.
    2. When using this config, the file is downloaded correctly.
    Now I found out, what was the problem:
    the jquery.fileDownload.js plugin was deleting the internally used iframe too early, so that the explorer window could not be displayed. Keeping the iframe longer (at least until explorer window is shown, or easier reuse it in next download call) solves the problem.

    In Firefox Options / Privacy be sure "Remember download history" is checked. To see all of the options on that panel, "Firefox will" must be set to "Use custom settings for history".

    Before updating to 5.0, when downloading a file, I could select between "Open" and "save". Now I don't have the "Open" option. I need it because of my work and is a must have or it will take to much time to save and then opening them. In normal morning with "open" option took me like 30 minutes. Now it took me 1.5 hours and can't afford to loose that much time.

    Hello.   The link FAQ: How do I troubleshoot audio issues when importing .MTS files?
    does not work, and i need the answer please. My imported MTS clips are not playing back audio because it seems that no audio imported with the video.   Thanks, Don.

    Hi there
    Audio plays when the object with the audio assigned appears. This is why you hear it when the Button appears.
    Try assigning the audio instead to the object that appears when you click the button. Perhaps the caption.

    Wow. Okay...
    I'll let the real veterans in this forum tackle your issues one after the other. But, I can tell you, all will be well.
    My only comment would be re: your computer specs:

    To be completely honest, FCPX is a RAM hog. It just is. But, RAM is relatively cheap, and the pay-off is good.
    4GB is right on the edge, IMHO. 16G is ideal.
    I wish you luck, hang in there, and standby for more help.

    when downloading large files such as videos of a television season do you need to turn off autolock to prevent download from halting? And if so, if the download will take a significant amount of time (not sure how much offhand) how do you prevent burn in from prolonged screen image?

    Among the alternatives not mentioned... Using a TiVo DVR, rather than the X1; a Roamio Plus or Pro would solve both the concern over the quality of the DVR, as well as providing the MoCA bridge capability the poster so desperately wanted the X1 DVR to provide. (Although the TiVo's support only MoCA 1.1.) Just get a third-party MoCA adapter for the distant location. Why the hang-up on having a device provided by Comcast? This seems especially ironic given the opinions expressed regarding payments over time to Comcast. If a MoCA 2.0 bridge was the requirement, they don't exist outside providers. So couldn't the poster have simply requested a replacement XB3 from the local office and configured it down to only providing MoCA bridging -- and perhaps as a wireless access point? Comcast would bill him the monthly rate for the extra device, but such is the state of MoCA 2.0. Much of the OP sounds like frustration over devices providing capabilities the poster *thinks* they should have.

  • Firefox crashes when downloading huge files

    When downloading huge files like a 4GB DVD image of linux, firefox starts to build up memory usage. After downloading 3GB it takes around 4GB of memory and then crashes since it can't possibly grow any larger. WHY is it doing this? In earlier versions of firefox it created a .part file and stored all data in there. But right now it stores the WHOLE download in memory and then saves it directly to the file. No .part files on the drive.

    I installed an apache webserver for faster local downloading and put a 4GB DVD up.
    First try on Windows7: After 500MB of downloading it stops with a memory load of 1.6GB then it suddenly tells me the download is finished - at 500MB of 4GB. No crash this time but still not the desired result.
    Try on Windows Vista: After 1.5GB of downloading and 1.7GB of memory usage and then the CPU activity jumped to 100% on the core where Firefox executes. Took around 5min then CPU goes down to 2% and it tells me the download finished and starts a virus scan. No crash either. Downloaded only 1.6GB of 4GB
    Maybe it didn't crash this time because the download is too fast. Earlier while downloading from internet it always crashed while downloading debian DVD image. Later I used Internet Explorer to complete the download. I'll install a bandwidth control in my apache and try again over a longer period of time.
