Issue while executing the report

Hello experts,
I have an issue related to executing the BI Report. In one report , i get an issue of Time Out, as the report is executed for a single day only with a single restriction. Also i execute the same report in RSRT, there also it gives a short dump. I checked the data into the related component for the same selection parameter values. here I get the data but it is creating issue while executing in RSRT or analyser or EP.
what is happening there am not able to understand. please advice.
Also searched in SDN but not get the relevant thread.

The query does not includes any RKF, CKF any complex calculations. as I said before also query is based on MP which is designed on a single Cube. There are no such navigational Attributes used for selection, Number of records are not more than 300 on that particular selection parameter
there is only one info object which is creating issue & it is a master info object. If i am restricting this info object in the query & then executes the query , it gives the error msg also i put a variable for input parameter, & there I restrict the value, then also query executes with an error msg
But if query is not restricted with any value for that info object then query executes with in a second.

Portal asking for Login details again while executing the reports

Hi Team,
Our Portal is asking for Login details again while executing the reports individually.
The issue is the if i enter the same PORTAL Login credentials, its showing as Authentication failed.

Performance issue while opening the report

HI,
I am working BO XI R3.1.there is performance issue while opening the report in BO Solris Server but on window server it is compratively fast.
we have few reports which contains 5 fixed prompt 7 optional prompt.
out of 5 fixed prompt 3 prompt is static (it contains 3 -4 record only )which is coming from materlied view.
we have already use many thing for improve performance in report like-
1) Index Awareness
2) Aggregate Awareness
3) Array fatch size-250
3) Aray bind time -32767
4) Login time out -600
the issue is that before refresh opening the report iteslf taking time 1.30 min on BO solris server but same report taking time in BO window server 45 sec. even we import on others BO solris server it is taking same time as per old solris server(1.30 min).
when we close the trace in solris server than it is taking 1.15 sec time.it should not be intial phase it is not hitting more on database.so why it is taking that much time while opening the report.
could you please guide us where exectly problem is there and how we can improve performance for opening the report.In case the problem related to solris server so what would be and how can we rectify.
Incase any further input require for the same feel free to ask me.

Hi Kumar,
If this is happening with all the reports then this issue seems to be due to firewall or security settings of Solaris OS.
Please try to lower down the security level in solaris and test for the issue.

" Network Access Message : The website cannot be found ".
Source: DNS error.
Why this error is coming.

All the configurations are in proper shape.
We need to change any IP adresses or proxy settings in the Internet explorer (Tools -> Internet options -> Connections -> LAN settings -> etc.,)
Do We need to configure any server address for getting the output to display on web pages in BI 7.0.
EP is not configured over here. Is that causing the problem.

Database is Oracle11G.
Oracle Database Table contains 8-9 lakh records

Execution Time:- 0.01094301 seconds
Returns 2 resultsets

In Pagination, we are using Modified version of SQL Query 3) with ROWNUM as mentioned below :-

b) Instead of two % in the above query, if use one example REFERENCE like 'KMF22600920%' it is returning the 2 resultsets (execution time 0.03313019 seconds)
Issue:- When using two % in like in the above query i.e. REFERENCE like '%KMF22600920%' AND ROWNUM <= 20 ) , it is going to infinite.
Could you please let us know what is the issue with two % used in like and rownum
5) Modified version of Option1 query (move out the RNUM condition AND RNUM <= 20)

This would be easier to diagnose if there was an explain plan posted for the 'good' and 'bad' queries. Generally speaking using '%' on both sides precludes the use of any indexes.

Getting different result while executing the report by debugger

I am facing a peculiar issue. When i execute the report from SE38 i am getting a particular set of values in a alv report.
But if i start debugging the report by using /h and execute . i am getting another set of result. How does it happen any idea.

Dump while Executing the Report HINUINFU

Dear All
I am getting Dump while executing the T.Code - HRPBSIN_IN_INFU (HINUINFU). As per my Configuration it should update the IT0267 and the IT0582. While debugging the We found out that its updating the IT0267 internally. But while reaching to IT0582 its reflecting on the feature 40CEA and the T549D.
here we are having the Telephone Reimbursement for this i copied the Tax code SEXM to ZTEL and assigned to my wage type
I also maintaied this Subtype to the feature 40CEA.
Checked also the IT0582 and its subtype time constraint.
Still the the DUMP persisisting. Please provide the solutions if any of you come across with the same situation.

Issue while executing the discovery command from target nodes

Hi Experts.
I had to create cluster two node using openfile, after creation of successful lun and associated partition from all the nodes i have changed the ip address of openfiler.
After changing the IP on open filer.
A) openfile version:-
[root@san ~]# uname -r
2.6.26.8-1.0.11.smp.pae.gcc3.4.x86.i686
B) Linux Oel5:-
[root@rac1 ~]# uname -r
2.6.18-194.el5xen
[root@rac1 ~]#
1:- I am able to ping and ssh etc from any node to openfiler.
However, while executing the below command i am facing the below exception..
service iscsi restart
Stopping iSCSI daemon:
iscsid dead but pid file exists [ OK ]
Starting iSCSI daemon: [ OK ]
[ OK ]
Setting up iSCSI targets: iscsiadm: No records found!
[ OK ]
[root@rac1 ~]#
Moreover, tried to discover the targets, unfortunately no message is getting displayed after execution of this below command.
[root@rac1 ~]# iscsiadm -m discovery -t sendtargets -p 192.168.37.200

The quick response will be appreciated as my whole test case is down as of now due storage issues.

Database Alert Macros issue while executing the macros in Background

I am facing some problems while executing the Database alert macros in Background/Process Chain.
There are two macros for which the problem exists.
1.Excess Projected Inventory above Max
The logic here is, the alert should work for Only Fixed Lot size Procedure.
If the Stock on hand (projected EA) > (Safety Stock (EA) + Full SOQ (EA)) then alert = "Projected inventory is XX% above MAX".
XX is the Percent above Max.
Note: SOQ => fixed lot size.
2.Excess Actual Days of Supply
The Logic here is, the alert should work for all Lot size Procedures except for "Fixed lot size".
Actual Days Supply >=180 days. (current -> future buckets)
- For every receipt cell check the Actual Days Supply - if >= 180 days.
The macros are working perfectly as expected.

Yes exactly, the macros are working in foreground/Interactively but not in the Background via Process chain. Let me send the details again.
Issue :

TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED error while executing the report

. We are having an info cubeXFIAP_C12 (FIAP: Vendor Line Item Open).In which we have defined 10 Dimensions and 6 Line Item Dimensions. We have created a report on this with Key date as Input Variable Which gives me From Start to Till Date data. Also have an Variable on company code.
Then No of Records in my Cube is 45, 70,624.Compressed the Info Cube data .But No aggregates on it.
Now when I provide the key date as 30.06.2011 and Company code =XYZ.
I am unable to Execute the Report, It gives me a short Dump. Saying NO ROLL MEMORY.
Variables:
1. Key Date: Is a Customer Exit variable .If user Enters Data as 30.06.2011 ,It fetches data from u201C00000000u201D to u201C30.06.2011u201D.
2.Company code: Is a Manual Entry /Default variable.
I also have shot dump.Please find the error analysis of dump below:

Just check following things

2. See whether any back up process is happening and it has consumed the main memory.
3. Are you getting this error regularly
4. See any transport went and compression/aggregation got removed.
5. Check whether there are many dumps in ST22 same time when you execute report

BI Publisher: Issue while scheduling the report/query to be executed daily

We are using Oracle Business Intelligence 11.1.1.6.3 and while we schedule a report(RTF Template) we are facing issue.We use bursting query and when we select option to execute immediately it runs fine and sends notifications,it also executes when we schedule it to run Once but fails when i schedule the report to be executed DAILY .

SSRS Error while executing the report

i can see the above log in reporting services log files, does anyone having the idea about this?

Hi Veera,
According to your description, when you run the report, you get XMLDPException and 500 error.
In your scenario, I would like to know if you are running report in report server or SharePoint site. Does the error only occur when executing this report? Based on my research, the same issue occurs when using SSRS 2008. And the reason the IIS 7 defaults
to Kernel auth mode. So if that is a case, please disable Kernal Auth mode for IIS and registering the SPN on the APPool account.

REP-770 Error while executing the report.

Hi,
I am trying to run a report in Application Server 10g. I am executing this report from a form.
When I try to run the report using the 'rdf', I get the error
"Terminated with error: <br>REP-770: There exist uncompiled program unit(s). REP-1247: Report contains uncompiled PL/SQL."
But if I run the report as 'rep' then the report works fine. Now after this if I run the report as 'rdf', it works fine again.
Just to summarise - The problem occurs if I first try to run the report as rdf. But the problem disappears if I run the report as rep first before running it as rdf.
Could someone help me solve this issue.

I can see 2 bugs logged on Reports 9.0.4.1 (that means 10g patch 1) that report a similar problem:
BUG 4050488 - JSP REPORTS CONTAINING REF CURSOR ASKS FOR COMPILATION EVERYTIME WITH WEB LAOUT
and
BUG 4040844 - REF CURSOR QUERY REP-737 ORA-1247 RUNNING ON LINUX
Another bug reported on 10g has been fixed in upcoming Reports version 10.1.2:
BUG 3324576 - SRW.APPLY_DEFINITION IN PGM UNIT FAILS USING .REP FILE WITH REP-1457 ERROR
They are published bugs. See if you are hitting the same issue. Though I don't think that these bugs reported REP-1247 only the FIRST time you run the report.
Secondly, when I said "compile on the same platform on which you are going to run", I meant this - if you are going to run the report on OracleAS installed on Win 2000, you must compile the report in Reports Builder on Win 2000. Similarly, if you are going to run the report on OracleAS installed on Linux, you must compile the report in Reports Builder on Linux, before running it.

Its running fine while executing via SE38 (foreground) but getting dump while executing from the background with same variant.

Hello Zhou,
indeed, as you mention the ALV grid, there are some workarounds in the system, but there is no global solution. For example, the function module REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY detects internally whether it is called in background mode, and in this case it forwards the call to REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY which is runnable in background mode, since it creates an ABAP list.
But normally, when using objects of the control framework in your program, you are restricted to dialog mode.
