Issue while installing sap netweaver gateway

Hi Experts,
I am trying to install Netweaver Gateway on SAP netweaver 7.3.
Once the *.SAR files are placed in EPS inbox folder of the server, we are unable to find these add-on packages in transaction: SAINT.
Tried to install this on Client 000 and 001
Kindly provide your inputs on this.

Please try to extract .SAR file contents using SAPCAR.exe utility?
You can find the tool at D:\usr\sap\<SID>\DVEBMGS00\exe location, use -xvf option to extract content to EPS\in folder. Then load the extracted packages from Application server using SAINT again.

The package sapdb-7.5-2 is already installed.
The package sapdb-db-log-7.5-2 is already installed.
The package sapdb-db-files-7.5-2 is already installed.

it seems the program xuser need the libraries libdl.so.2 and libc.so.6 and don't find it.
Both are in package glibc-2.6.x. ,maybe your have Version < 2.6 installed?

Error while installing SAP NetWeaver 2007

Dear All,
 I got an exception while installing SAP NetWeaver 2007
on Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition (service pack 1). This exception occured when installer tried to install MaxDB database. When I saw installation log file, I found following msgs. Pls suggest me appropriate solution so that I could install SAP NetWeaver 2007 on my m/c.

Hi,
the following parts of the log should give you some hints about what might be wrong:
"dropping database instance: JP1"
"found instance JP1 "
"cannot remove package "Database Kernel": first you have to remove all instances"
It seems you still have a MaxDB instance named JP1 on your system. This instance could not be dropped, because it was not possible for the uninstaller to connect to the db instance:
"dropping database instance: JP1"
"Try to establish connection to JP1"
"command failed: <DBMException -24950 ERR_USRFAIL User authorization failed>"
So, if enough parts of the software are still available and you know how to connect to the JP1 instance (using either the Database Manager GUI or DBMCLI), you can drop the instance and proceed with the installation.

Problem while installing SAP netweaver developer workplace

I hav a problem while installing SAP netweaver developer workplace .An error has occured while processing service ´developer workplace installation´.This error occured in phase 14 of 25 ie while unpacking SCS Client.error is as follows:-

the database is online and the x-server is also started.hope anyone can help me in this problem.

Problem while installing SAP Netweaver CE 7.1 SP3!

Hi,
I am installing SAP Netweaver CE 7.1 SP3 on Windows XP Pro. The installation
proceeds normally till Step 26 but at Step 26 while creating and startiong
SAPStartSrv an error is thrown that the Service can not be started in 40 seconds.
If I retry the installation it is terminated with some errors.
The service sapstartsrv can be seen in the task manager up and running.
Please reply ASAP.

Error message while installing SAP Netweaver 7.01 on Vista

I am trying to install SAP Netweaver 7.01 on my Vista system. After Set FQDN for SAP system when I leave the deafaults and click next, I get an error " Reverse lookup of address -"52-62-23.140" failed"
Is this because I have not installed the feed back loop on vista ??

there are many absolutely not usefull threads about this issue. MS loopback is not the solution, I have written this in another thread and tried it already with Vista and Win2003.
Is here anyone who is able to explain the following:
- Win2003 bit or Vista 32bit with VMware using host-only connection
- IP connectivity between host and guest is working
Host file -- please add an example which is really working.
Which domain name is working? Is DNS server additionally needed?
How can reverse lookup be given without DNS server? In the hosts file? If yes, please enter an example.

Database folder is not created while installing sap netweaver 7.01

Hello,
i am trying to install sap netweaver on my laptop, but i am facing a problem while installing it.
installation gets completed within few minutes and even no databse folder is being created in the drive.
when i try to start the the application server a error message appears
"service name is invalid,
more help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 2185
start database failed"
suggest me a solution please.
is it so because before running the main setup, i installed the maxdb seprately and then later i uninstalled it before running the main setup??
laptop configuration
ram 1 gb, installing in e:,java version latest.

Getting error while installing sap netweaver trial version 7.2

while installing netweaver, i m getting an error Last error reported by the step :The database installer reported an error. DIAGNOSIS: Some database applications might still be running. SOLUTION: Check the log file sdbinst.log and C:\sapdb\data\wrk\MaxDBRuntimeForSAPAS_install_<date>_<time>.log.
when i checked sapinst_dev.log it contains an entry stating "The subkey 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SAP\SAP DBTech' does not exist on the 'localhost' host"
Please help me in resolving this issue.

SAP DBTech' does not exist on the 'localhost' host.
'sapinst' is checking the
registry to find whether db is installed or not and it cannot
find the registry branch.
Start/Run... Type regedit and delete the followings
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SAP\SAP DBTech

I suggest you look at the log, the error you posted doesn't reveal much more than the fact a service didn't start which is needed by the installation process. Why it didn't start is not in this message.
