Issue while running Smart View

Hi ,
I am facing issue while running the smart view . Bleow is the error description . Please let me know what might be the possible solution .
Cannot perform cube view operation .OLAP error (1042017) : Network error .

Nine times out of ten, when you receive a network error during an Essbase retriaval, your application has crashed. Do the retrieval in Smart View, then check to see if your application is still running in EAS after you get the error message. Then let us know and perhaps we can determine how to keep the application from crashing.

Embedded JMS/OC4J issue while running an application in Jdeveloper 10.1.3.2

Hi,
I am facing an issue while running an application on my laptop.I downloaded Jdeveloper 10.1.3.2.Installed Jheadstart along with that.
Created a new application specified in HR demo.When I run the application I get following messages,After that it does not show my application pages.It does not even open browser window.

Has anyone ever try to run Smart View 11.1 with HFM 9.3.1 ?

I know that Smart View 9.3.1 has a lot of bug (mainly formatting issue). Have you ever try to run the new version with older version? Does it work?

This configuration should work but you have to be careful with things like localization differences between the two releases. For example if you are currently using a localized release of 9.3.1 and move you will find that some 11.x version of the client may not be localized.
In other word be sure the the 11.x version will meet all of your needs aside form data first.

Performance issues when using Smart View and Excel 2010

Hello, we are experiencing very slow retrieval times when using Smart View and Excel 2010. Currently on v.11.1.3.00 and moved over from Excel 2003 in the last quarter. The same spreadsheets in 2010 (recreated) are running much slower than they used to in 2003 and I was wondering if anyone else out there has experienced similar problems?
It looks like there is some background caching going on as when you copy and paste the contents into a new file and retrieve it is better.....initially. The size of the files are generally less than 2mb and there aren't an expecially large number of subcubes requested so I am at a loss to explain or alleviate the issues.
Any advice / tips on how to optimise the performance would be greatly appreciated.

Issue while generating 3D view.

Dear friends,
Can anybody help me. I want to display a 3d view from a set of buffered images. Each buffered images are slices of an object like human head. Not error occured. But a white box (blank) is displayign as a result of this code,. Please chack the below code and tell me the issue in this.

Issue while running page OC4J start up failed.

Hi,
I am working on two instances one is Local and another is in abroad.
Now when I am running simple Hello World Page by giving Local Instance connections The page is loading quickly and running fine.
Now when I am running the same Hello World Page by giving Abroad Instance connections The page load is taking almost 9-10 mins and running fine.
In the above cases what might be the issue with Abroad Instances for loading page.
1) Is it the Network Issue?
2) Is it the OC4J Issue?
Can anyone breif this senario and how to over come this issue.
And one more Issue is
Took the remote desktop of the Abroad Machine Installed JDeveloper in it and while running the Hello World page the Message OC4J start up failed is getting popedup in the Message.
In which cases we will get OC4J start up failed error.

Can you reproduce the issue with other Self-Service pages? Any performance issues with forms?
2) Is it the OC4J Issue?What about local users who access the same page from the same network, do they encounter the same performance issues?
Can anyone breif this senario and how to over come this issue.Before investigating the performance issues with the instance/server (which are discussed many times in the forum, so just search old threads for performance tuning and you will get many hits), I would suggest you answer the above two questions to determine whether this is a network issue or an instance/server issue.

Finder: graphic issues while in icon view

This graphic issue only appears in icon view as you have stated. The workaround was to put everything in list view.
I have been testing for the last week or so, with Icon view after deleting the com.apple.finder.plist. So far it's a lot better.
My MBP [Late 2013] was a dog after the Yosemite upgrade.
I ended up doing a SMC and PRAM reset, my performance is almost back to normal but not as good as when on Mavericks 10.9.5.
I hope Apple releases update 10.10.1 soon.

We have created a custom package where in we are trying to call the standard API's of Oracle projects i.e PA_PROJECT_PUB.When we are trying to call these APIs we are facing the below issue.
We have tried testing in two instances ,Initially it worked in both instances.
Using the same API's multiple times we tested the same data set in these instances.
For the first few runs it works fine.But when we go on using the same API's again and again for our testing we face now and then the below issue.

Issue while running a scenario while using TTU in ODI

I have created an interface to load data from oracle to teradata. I have used LKM as SQL to Teradata (TTU). When i run this interface from UI (from my desktop) I receive an error telling
"sh: fastload: command not found" which makes perfect sense.
I then tried to create a scenario and run the scenario from a machine which has the utility installed. I get the below error.

Authorization Issue while running a report

Hi Experts,
We are facing strange issue in authorizations while runnung a report. When we givel '*' company code access to the users they are able to run the report. When we give one single company code specific access to the users they get error message : No Authorization or everything filtered Out".
Please let me know how can i debug the same.
Company code specific access along with sales grp, profit ctr, sales employee are maintained in a ODS in BW.

Hi,
When you use authorization relevant char in your report, you should create a variable of type authorization.
The variable input may be mandatory or optional.
By doing this, the default values will pop-up in the variable input screen when the user tries to execute the report.. It is also relevant to mention that the user cannot enter any blank values for the authorization variables unless he/she got * access for that particular character.
Also do not hardcode any values for authorization relevant char inthe report.
It will throw error No Authorization.

Facing issue while running the page locally

I am facing an initial issue with iExpense page.
I have ftped all the folder from appl/apps/apps_st/appl/ap/12.0.0/mds/oie (For I-Expense Module Customization) in ascii mode to myproject\oracle\apps\ap\oie
and from appl/apps/apps_st/comn/java/classes/oracle/apps/ap/oie in binary mode to myclasses\oracle\apps\ap\oie.
After that, I created a OAWorkspace and OAProject and all sort of prerequisite that require for running the page.
I am trying to run GeneralInformationPG.xml.

This is a common issue faced when you try to move the standard code into local machine and run from here. One option is to not try to do this at all and just create your custom object (VO/AM/CO) and compile them in Jdeveloper by only including the minimum number of files that are required to compile them. But this means you would need to deploy the files every time in a dev instance and test. However you should be absolutely clear on what you are attempting and ensure there is no mistake to impact something unintentionally.
Now, in case you need to build a project in Jdeveloper:
No need to copy files from MDS directory. Anyway you are not doing any customization on Oracle code and its not required that you have the text/source files. System might try to compile your files and change the already existing compiled classes under 'myclasses'.
So you should just copy the directory structure in both myprojects and myclasses from JAVATOP. Yes duplicate the standard class/xml files in both myprojects and myclasses.
Its possible that system would refer files beyond the current module (and in cases where dependencies are too many, you switch to first option I suggested on not trying to have it at all). You can see if by adding only the objects (VO.xml+Impl JAVA) only and not entire directories. Adding directory might trigger another set of dependencies and you might need to add many other modules from javatop.

Video freezing up while running Lab View 10

I am using Lab View 10. My video will freeze up every so often. Somtimes labview will abort by itself? I can run other applications while lab view is frozen. Is it a lab view programming problem or a possible video card problem. The main VI is 1.7 MB. I am running Windows Xp 32 bit. CPU 2.4 Gig, Memory 4 gig, Video Nvidea GeForce 8400 GS. It appears to be a video refresh problem. I can have a screen with two different application screens on top of each other. Can someone confirm that the video card is the issure?

I'm having trouble understanding the exact behavior of 'Video' on your system. Are you having trouble displaying specific VIs? (Controls/Indicators, Updates on the Front Panel, Etc) Are you seeing generalized glitches only when running LabVIEW?
