Issue with Ciso AIR-LAP1142N-A-K9 AP configuration

I have trouble accessing the internet from my laptop after installing Ciso AIR-LAP1142N-A-K9 AP.
The  AP are connetected to my router (which has a DHCP enabled) via a switch  and each has a Fix IP address with network mask, gateway and DNS  already configured. When I triy to connect to the access point, only the  IP address and network mask are automatically assigned to the my  laptop. and I have to manually input the gatway and DNS to be able to  navigate the internet.
I would like to know which configuration  will allow any node that tries to connect the internet via the access  point to be automatically configured to access the internet after  authentification.
I will appreciate any help in solving the issues.
Best Regards,

are you using vlan's ? if so trunk the ports that the AP's are connect to.

  • Troubleshoot issues with Telstra Air

Check whether Telstra Air® has been activated on your home broadband service
Check your activation status in My Account or through the Telstra 24x7® App.
In My Account, go to the Internet section and scroll to Telstra Air. Your status will be listed as either active or inactive.
In Telstra 24x7, go to the main menu and select Telstra Air. This will display a page showing your Telstra Air details from My Account, including your activation status. If Telstra Air does not appear in the main menu, you may not be eligible for the service and should visit us in store or contact us via 24x7 Chat for further assistance.
What to do if the login page doesn’t open automatically
If your browser doesn’t automatically open the login page when you first connect to the Telstra Air Network™:
Make sure your device is connected to the Telstra Air Wi-Fi network
Open an internet browser – like Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Safari.
Your internet browser will load up the login page
Enter your Telstra ID username and password on the login page to start accessing Telstra Air.
Network speeds on the Telstra Air Network
Speeds may vary depending on how close you are to our hotspots, the number of other users connected to the same hotspot and the device you are using.

Re: Troubleshoot issues with Telstra Air
My Telstra Air was activated yesterday, downloaded App, logged in using my bigpond username/password, Status: Not Connected, Hotspots: Not Available. Find Hotspots: shows up on map OK.
Phone (Android) shows Free_Telstra_WiFi: Not in range when the modem is in the same room???

  • Keyboard/Trackpad issues with MacBook Air (Late 2010)

My wife used one of those clorox wipes on her MacBook Air and now she is having issues with the keyboard and trackpad. The option, command and shift keys do not work correctly and the trackpad thinks every click is a two finger "command click" (even though I turned off right clicking in the system preferences).
Normally I would try a PRAM or SMC reset to fix it, but the buttons needed to start one (cmd + opt) aren't working.
I plugged in an external USB keyboard and all the buttons work correctly.
Any advice on how to get these issues resolved? Is it a hardware issue that needs to be addressed by a Genius? Is it possible a clean install of OS X could fix the issue?
The computer hasn't had any issues before this and there doesn't appear to be any battery swelling issues

I made a Genius bar appointment for tomorrow. When I got home last night I took a look at it again (I have a hard time leaving broken things alone...) and for whatever reason, the keyboard started working perfectly again. I managed to boot into safe mode via terminal but the issue persisted. When I booted back into standard mode, the keyboard was working great. This morning when I woke up, it was not working agian, but after rebooting it, it has been working correctly for the last hour.
At one point, I booted into Recovery and looked at the system.log. One error that caught my eye was:
Keyboard Layouts: duplicate keyboard layout identifier -16900.
Mar  7 05:54:10 localhost Unknown[355]: Keyboard Layouts: keyboard layout identifier -16900 has been replaced with -28674.
Any idea what this is, or if it could be causing eratic behavior?
The other odd thing is I cannot boot into any disgnostic modes using shortcut keys before booting. I'd like to reset PRAM, run AHT but none of those commands are working.
I still have my appointment tomorrow, but I'm thinking it is not a hardware issue (with the keyboard at least) since it does work correctly some of the time.

  • Issue with MacBook Air and nouveau

    Hi.
I've installed Arch Linux on MacBook Air with Nvidia 320M videocard. Proprietary nvidia driver does not work at all and nouveau has video artefacts (photo attached because screenshot pictures haven't any problems): horizontal noisy black lines and wrong colors on the left two thirds of screen.

nvidiafb works fine, but it has no dri and has problems with suspend.
How to resolve this problem with nouveau? Is it crtc-related or not? Playing with xrandr does not have any effect (except resolution change).

I had an issue with my MBA seeing my HP printer and could find no good reason for the issue.  In the end I deleted the printers WiFi connection and then turned around and set it up on my WiFi network all over again.  My MBA now finds the printer every time.  Okay ...so I don't actually know why it didn't work the first time, but it does now.  Again, there was no apparent issue with either the HP printer or the MBA being connected to WiFi in the first place, but something different must have occurred in software/hardware the second time.

  • Having issues with iPad air.. It's constantly rebooting and giving me a blue screen. Anyone have a solution?

    iPad Air
    operating system ios8.1.3
I've had no success troubleshooting the problem I'm having with my iPad Air. Started after I updated the software to the new version . Once update was complete I encountered my screen looked funny with wiggly lines and then the screen turned blue. I tried to reboot it by holding down the home and the off at the same time but that only turned it off and then back on and the same thing happened all over again. Now my iPad air only continues to reboot when I turn it on. Is it possible for Apple or Mac products to get a virus? I'm hope someone has a solution to this problem I'd like to know if there's anyone else out there that's experiencing this issue with the iPad Air.

This is not a virus. It sounds like it could be a hardware problem.
First, try resetting your device. Press and hold both the home button and the sleep/wake button for about 10 seconds, until the screen turns off. Ignore the slider that will appear. Release the buttons, then press and hold the sleep/wake button until the Apple logo appears. This is the equivalent of a reboot, and should not affect your data or apps.
If that doesn't help, try restoring your device from backups, and if that doesn't help, restore it to factory settings (ie, do not restore a backup). See:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1414
If none of that helps, the issue is caused by some kind of hardware problem, and the device will need to be repaired or (more likely) replaced.

  • Apple Configurator issue with iPad Air

I am using Apple configurator 1.5 to deploy iPad 2 with 4G and without and iPad Airs with 4G.
I created backups of each model and I’m only having an issue with the iPad Airs. I get an  error “ unable to activate ”.  Apple configurator will update the devices to the newest OS and reset the iPads but it won’t apply any settings from the backup.
    Any help would be great.

Sorry for the confusion, I have one backup for each model.  The iPad Airs are able to use cellular data but they are not going to be activated with the carrier ( Verizon ).  We are only using them with WiFi. The issues is Apple Configurator stops working as soon as it tries to activate and won’t push the backup.  Apple Configurator is only able to resetting and updating the OS. This only happen with the Airs, I use the same process with iPad 2 with cellular data, not activated with the carrier ( Verizon ) no issues.  I don’t currently have an iPad Air but remember it was error 2 “ unable to activate ”.

  • Anyone else having issues with iPad Air touch screen x y  positioning inaccuracy?

I have a 128GB WiFi Cellular iPad Air with IOS 7.0.3 installed. I have noticed, especially with the Photos app, that where you touch on the screen isnt exactly what is returned by the iPad. For example, if I want to view a photo in a display of a series of thumbnails I have to actually touch the photo to the left of the one I want to view. If I touch the one I want to view, the one to the right expands to full screen. I am hoping this is just a software issue. If not, then this one is going to be returned while I still have time in the initial 30 day window.

Well, I think I figured out the problem. I had a pdf file somehow loaded into the camera roll. All images before the pdf were opening appropriately, but the ones ater that file were always shifted to the right. I deleted the pdf file and now they all open correctly.

  • Issue with the AIR badge on touchscreen device

    Hello,
I am using the AIR badge and it's working fine on almost every computers but touchscreen devices. I've tried it on a HP Slate (touchscreen device, win7, Flash 10.1) and nothing happens when I click 'yes' on the embeded 'Adobe AIR Installer'.
Is it a know issue and is there any workaround?
Edit: When I plug a mouse into the HP Slate, I am able to click the 'yes' button.
Edit2: It seems to be a broader issue that affects all Flash system popups (e.g. built-in settings, Flash AIR installer ) on this touchscreen device. It looks like a problem with the mouse events (i.e. no mouse down/up, only a click event), but it's only a supposition. I am sometimes able to click the button, but it's quite tedious: 1. put my finger on the buttonl; 2 keep my finger on the screen and moving it around the button; 3 come back on the button; 5. release my finger from the screen
    Thanks,
    Arnaud

It is not a bug in iOS 7, as several hundred million people haven't commented on it.  Reset: are you holding down both buttons until the Apple logo is displayed?  If a reset doesn't fix it, try restoring the phone from the last backup. If that doesn't work, restore as a new device. If that doesn't work, take it to Apple.

    Hi Raj,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like your new MacBook Air is not connecting to your Wi-Fi network. I know it can be frustrating when a new computer isn't behaving as it should.
I recommend starting with the built in Wireless Diagnostics on the MacBook Air. This can help resolve the issue or isolate the symptom that may need a closer look.
You can find the steps to use Wireless Diagnostics here:

  • Anyone else see issues with Adobe Air and Zinio

    Hi,
I'm just wondering if others are seeing this issue or if I did something unique to my machine. My console is flooded with error messages like this:
    8/3/11 4:41:23.244 AM sandboxd: ([307]) WebProcess(307) deny file-read-data /Users/bkray1/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AIR/ELS/ZinioReader4.9310D8F796442B71068C511E15D70529A702D19D.1/P rivateEncryptedDatak
Line after line of it, even after a restart without using the Zinio program (e-pub reader). I have repaired my keychain, and updated to adobe air beta 3, but still get the same meassages. If anyone has any ideas, please share.
    Thanks
    Bryan

This issue was vexing me too, and no amount of repairing the keychain (or deleting these entries) would make it go away.  Everytime I'd launch any Adobe AIR app, the problem would immediately return.
And I believe it was caused a huge speed slowdown, extra heat and overactive fan action on my mid-2010 MacBook Pro (2.66 Ghz Intel Core i7 with 8 GB of RAM, otherwise clean install of OS X 10.7.)
Anyway, I came across this post with a purported hack to fix it:
    https://plus.google.com/104149041030409334838/posts/j1ptVE6qfsg
I'm not keen to try this just yet... but would be curious to hear details if anyone else gives it a go.  In the meantime I have just uninstalled Adobe AIR and will anxiously await the release of OS X 10.7.2.

  • Issue with iPad air trade in promotion.

I went to the Rego Park NYC Bestbuy store (Store 483) today and tried to trade in my iPad 4 32GB wifi because of this promotion.
    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/promo/trade-in-offer-129347?ref=199&loc=iH2PRtf/I7g&acampID=1&siteID=iH2...
The girl from customer service did not know anything about it so I asked for a manager. The manager knew about the promtion and took my iPad. She offered me $246 in gift card but she said that I will not receive the $50 trade in coupon toward a new iPad Air 2 purchase. I aruged briefly with her but she insisted that was how it works because the promotion can only guarantee a minimum trade in value of $200 and since my iPad 4 has a trade in value of $246,  it will not be considered as an eligible tablet.  Could someone from Bestbuy explain how this promotion really work? Because it doesn't make sense at all if i do not get both the gift card and the $50 coupon. I read about this promotion from various forums and lots of people getting both the gift card and the coupon.

    Hello TommyLai,
I have to say I’m rather bummed that I don’t have an older iPad model to trade in. With the gift card and coupon provided with this offer, you could potentially get a new iPad Air or mini at half price (or close to it)! I’m disappointed to hear that our Rego Park location wasn’t quite up to speed with the promotion though, leaving you absolutely confused and without a cool new iPad. I’m truly sorry for this oversight.
According to our Trade in and Trade up promotion, you should have received either a $175.00 or $200.00 gift card for your trade in. Because your iPad 4 was worth more than those amounts, you were correctly offered more than the guaranteed minimum. This shouldn’t have disqualified you from receiving the coupon though. As long as you were intending to purchase the item listed on the coupon, it should have been provided with your trade-in receipt.
I’d like out to local leadership at our Rego Park location and provide them with the necessary details about this promotion. However, I’m unable to locate your Best Buy account, and I’d like to provide them with as many details as possible for further reference. Please know that I’ve sent you a private message to collect some information. You may view it by logging into the forum and clicking on the envelope in the upper right-hand corner of your screen.

  • Installtion issue with captive air startup

I have a captive air file witch i deploy with a installer on a windows computer. I have options for the user to selected start-up throw a checkbox.
In the normal export .air this works just fine. But the captive air does not set the application in de startup folder.
What is wrong? Can anybody help with this problem?

    Post both these methods:
    checkRegistrationWinInfo(), checkRegistrationInfo()
creationComplete itself does nothing with the system. It's an internal (Flex) thing.
AFAIK, an air application doesn't "scan" anything when started.

  • Major issues with macbook air

so i have a mid 2012 macbook air. out of no where, it stopped turning on. i left it for about a week, tried it one day, and suddenly, it worked again. it now with a myriad of problems.
it was slow, it wouldn't hold a charge, and then one day, the battery just up and disappeared.
i read on one of these forums that there was a problem with mavericks and batteries not being recognized, so, since i know everything, i decided to reinstall mountain lion.
so i re-installed mountain lion, and more problems appeared. my battery didn't return, and now i couldn't open imovie, app store, and a couple other apps. i used my macbook pro to create a mavericks installer usb drive, re-installed that, and things started looking up. my apps all worked, and it wasn't nearly as slow, but my battery had not returned.
research showed that there was a patch that i should install. smc v1.9.
i couldn't install it because i had to update to mavericks 10.9.2.
       i tried to do that...
now my computer is screwed. it keeps rebooting, over and over. if i convince it to actually try and install 10.9.2, it says that it is going to take 111 hours and the time keeps increasing instead of counting down. when it reboots, it starts up to os x utilities, preceded by a screen that speaks to me saying "to select english as the main language, hit return"
i don't know what to do.
oh, and on top of that i am waiting on a replacement screen because i cracked mine in an unfortunate incident involving me and my cat, so i have to use the hdmi adaptor to see what's going on.
my knowledge and skill level i would say are moderate, but i can follow directions really well.
thank you, in advance. even some links to pertinent threads would be helpful, because i just don't know where to go from here.

Open Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities, select All Processes & sort on CPU%, any indications there?
How much RAM & free space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.
In the Memory tab, are there a lot of Pageouts?

  • Issue with Adobe Air and Rosetta Stone in Mountain Lion.

After installing Mountain Lion, I tried to open Rosetta Stone.  I was directed to update and install adobe air.  I did that, then tried to open Rosetta Stone again and it said the installation of Adobe Air was damaged.  I went to Adobe to reinstall and it said it's already installed.  I'm now stuck in a circle...Help!

I also found this page from the Rosetta Stone site very helpful.
It was more helpful than anything on the Adobe site.
