Issue with Deposit Advice

Hi,
Can either of you determine why an employee would be failing in the Deposit Advice process when the employee's setup is complete? They have received deposit advices previously without issue but is failing on the Feb 29 payroll process.
We are having an issue with Deposit Advice, please see the error below.

Email issue with ISP - advice appreciated

We seem to be having a strange issue with email and our ISP.
Using OS-X mail, all patched up and on the latest versions of everything. Every two or three months email stops working with no warning, errors or notification. The ISP says that we have been blocked due to excessive failed password attempts, even though it's been working for two months and no passwords have been changed.
The only way around this is to have the ISP unblock the ipaddress and on the local system delete the ISP certificates from Keychain (login) access, although on one occasion when the ISP was being particularly slow, simply deleting the certificates did the trick.
I'm not getting anywhere with the ISP - I am unable to get past first line support and pre-formatted answers telling me how to reset my passwords and what combination of numbers, letters and characters make up a good password. (Nativespace in case you're wondering!)
Advice appreciated. "Leave Nativespace" is already being considered,

Meant to say, the certificates are up to date and haven't expired when the email fails.
My system has several email accounts going through the same server at the ISP - sometimes they all fail, sometimes only one or two.

Lenovo y40-70: Multiple issues with GPU :-( advice with at least one will be great help

Hi As you can see below, I am running battlefield 3. The AMD switchable graphics setting for battlefield 3 is set to High performance. So it the game should be running on AMD GPU. But As I have indicated the AMD GPU readings don’t show any value, so it not rendering game. Moreover, in the task bar it show Intel GPU is turned on. Game setting are set to Maximum. Also, the game run little (playable) slow. 1. Does this mean AMD GPU is dead chip? My ultimate intention is to disable the Intel GPU, preferably through BIOS.2. How to do this?Then use AMD GPU for Chrome. I want more performance with Chrome, battery n power is not an issue. But in catalyst application list, I cannot change the setting to high performance, it’s locked. 3.how can I over-ride this setting and run chrome with AMD GPU hardware acceleration -Bluemoon

This may not be possible "My ultimate intention is to disable the Intel GPU" Since the unit is limited to Auto-switch between the GPUs or IGP only.
The main concern Im seeing here is that it is not doing the auto switch.
Here's what you can try:
Open Device Manager and Uninstall the Intel GPU, right click > Uninstall make sure to place a check under delete driver software for this device. Restart if prompt.
After the restart, Open Device manager again and verify if the Intel GPU turned into Standard VGA, If not perform another Uninstall to it.
Perform the same with the AMD Graphics. This is to ensure that both GPU is on its most basic driver before we install a new one.
Install the Intel Driver first https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles/4eiv01ww.exe
Restart if prompt.
Install the AMD last https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles/4eam01ww.exe
Restart if prompt.
Now try the Auto switching with your tools.

Deposit Advice XML Issue

Hello Gurus, I am having an issue with XML Deposit Advice and XML Check Writer. In our deductions, we have City Withheld and Head Tax Withheld. For some employees, the City Withheld is showing as '0' on the Deposit Advice Slip but '6.92' on the SOE. Though the Deposit Slip shows '0' for withheld under deductions, the Net Pay matches with that on the SOE. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Any help is highly appreciated.

Serious Issues with FCPX. Advice?

I am having serious issues with Final Cut Pro X. I can only edit for about 10 or 15 minutes before all clips in my Timeline and my Event Browser start appearing as either green or black w/ unexplained artifacts in the viewer.
Once this starts happening in Final Cut, my entire system is affected. Images in Aperture, iPhoto, Quicklook, etc begin to appear as just jumbled artifacts. Even my desktop goes wonky. I took a picture of my desktop with my phone just to provide an example.
Quitting Final Cut has no affect on resolving the issue. However, completely shutting down my system and restarting does correct the problem. I would think it is a graphics card issue, except for the fact that it only starts happening when I’m using Final Cut. I can watch HD movies, play graphics intensive games, edit in Photoshop, encode video in MPEG Streamclip and so forth and there are no issues until I start using Final Cut again. Also I have run the Apple provided diagnostic tools and TechTool Pro, both of which report no problems with my video card.
I have tried using optimize and proxy media in Final Cut, but that does not improve the situation.
I am currently at a complete loss. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sound advice. However, I have already taken my iMac to the Apple Store. While there, the issue did not occur and they said that it passed their hardware tests. They said they could replace the logic board and gpu, but since they were not able to diagnose the problem they couldn't say for sure that would fix anything. Since I am no longer under AppleCare, I wanted to look for other solutions before trying an expensive and uncertain fix.

To be completely honest, FCPX is a RAM hog. It just is. But, RAM is relatively cheap, and the pay-off is good.

I have an OD domain (10.9.1 server) with 20 users mobile account (10.9.1 osx) authentification, I’d like to enable a global password policy, and I'm curious what actually happens when I add some policy in Server Admin > Open Directory > gear > edit global password policy?
If I set a "reset every 45 days" option, is that from the time the policy is enabled, or from the time the user account was created?
Any issue with Keychain ?
If I set a "must have one letter" or "numeric character", etc...and the user doesn't currently have a password that matches this criteria, will they be forced to set a new password immediately, or the next time one is initiated, did the account will be disable?
I just trying to prevent any bad experience for the users.

Hi,
The 45 days will start from the moment you enable that setting for all active users, and will start whenever you create a new OD user.
There won't be any issues with Keychain, it will updated when a new password is set. On that specific day when they login or restart, they need to choose a new password. Keychain will update automatically.
The new policy will start working after the 45 days have been set. After 45 days that policy will be enforced, not before, users can continue to work with a less secure password. About 10 days before that deadline or earlier they will get an option in their login screen to renew their password because it will inform them it will expire soon.
You might want to notify all users of a new password policy when you set it and then inform them again about a week before it will expire. That will ensure a smooth transition...

The customized Deposit Advice & Cheque Writer process is getting overiden?

My client has the deposit advice and check writer processes customized and each time they apply an HRMS patch the seeded process replaces them, they go back in and replace them with the older customized version. The 2 processes and the report in cheque writer are customized.
How can we avoid this re-compilation issue, everytime a patch is applied? What can be the best alternative way to avoid it?

Obviously your customized Deposit Advice and Cheque Writer report files are named exactly like those delivered by Oracle so they are constantly being overwritten.
You need to rename the report files(i.e., CUSRPPST.rdf instead of PAYRPPST.rdf) then go into the Concurrent Program setups for these two processes, find the parameter Report Name and change the Default Value to the name of your custom rdf file. Note that your rdf file should reside in the same directory as the delivered rdf and you should leave the extension off in the default value.

Deposit Advice (XML) creates inconsistent results

When I run Deposit Advice (XML), my results are often inconsistent. For instance, if I expect 100 payslips, I may only receive 25 payslips. Running the program a second time may produce 50 payslips, etc. I will eventually receive the correct number of documents.
I have an open SR with Oracle and they have a bug in development, but I thought I'd post my questions here anyway. Has anyone else experienced this?
We originally did troubleshooting for performance problems -- out of memory issues, etc. Those are all ruled out. The resulting XML is properly formed with a good header and good footer records, but it always contains the inconsistent subsets of the detail records.
Any thoughts on this? Waiting for the development is painful!

Issues I have are :
1. Inconsistent Behaviour.
2. two payslips print in one page (one payslip in half page and the header of the other payslip follows. the second payslip continues to the next page.)

Issue with creation of a specific field for a java program.

Hey everyone,
This is homework which is end of chapter "challenges" to practice what we've learnt.
The chapter covers inheritance (super class and all things related)
I'm having quite an annoying issue with the very beginning of the instructions, where it tells me to make the following fields:
- Employee name
- Employee number in the format XXX-L , where each X is a digit within the range 0-9 and the L is a letter within the range A-M.
- Hire date
This is what I wrote for code so far

private String date;I really have no idea what to do for the second field, how to even constrain integers and letters in the same field with a rule for number range and letter range, and that for each character independently, for what I understand.
Any advice with this? It's blocking me from continuing -_-, because I can't make accessors and mutators and constructors, etc, if i'm still unsure of how the fields unfold.

You can create a HireDate class.

}In the HireDate Constructor you could put if statements to ensure that only correct information is present. The fields are final because the hire date will not change. Override the toString() method so that when you print it out it will be in the correct format. Create some getter methods to get the private fields.
Then in your other class just do this
HireDate hired = new HireDate(10, July, 1991);Now you have an object that stores all 3 fields for you. You can use the object as you like and when it prints it will be in the format you want.
Or you could just make hireDate a String variable. That is what I always did and I never lost marks for it. The reason I suggest this way is because you mentioned rules and constraints.

EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION issue with regard to OpenGL

EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION issue with OpenGL occurring with the Java SE Runtime Environment 6u17 on Windows 7, 32 & 64 bit platforms.   Version 6u24 and later does not produce the crash. However, we cannot use any other version of JRE other than 6u17 due to customer constraints. The two primary scenarios where crash (jvm exits) occurs are: 1) toggling between two applications then selecting an image item on screen ( OpenGL rendering takes place)... (Log file: hs_err_pid6568_C2_TC_error.log). Scenario 2: When panning an image (OpenGL rendering takes place) and then clicking a button to load additional image data (OpenGL rendering takes place), crash occurs (Log file: hs_err_pid6036_ENR_TERRAIN_crash.log)
Is there any Oracle documentation noting any JRE fixes between 6u17 and 6u24 that might at least mitigate the issue(s) described above? Or information with regard to issues between JRE's and OpenGL ? Also, if anyone can advise on code mods, etc that we can try toward said mitigation efforts of course would be helpful.

There are some other solutions possible.
1. Get another driver. The only one known is java only so it wont crash. But is not not free.
2. Use a proxy driver. That means that another app actually does the database work. If it crashes you just start it again (which you can do in your main code.) That way it won't take down your server. There are commercial jdbc drivers that claim MS Access but are are really just proxy implementations as an option in this area.

Keyboard/Trackpad issues with MacBook Air (Late 2010)

My wife used one of those clorox wipes on her MacBook Air and now she is having issues with the keyboard and trackpad. The option, command and shift keys do not work correctly and the trackpad thinks every click is a two finger "command click" (even though I turned off right clicking in the system preferences).
Normally I would try a PRAM or SMC reset to fix it, but the buttons needed to start one (cmd + opt) aren't working.
I plugged in an external USB keyboard and all the buttons work correctly.
Any advice on how to get these issues resolved? Is it a hardware issue that needs to be addressed by a Genius? Is it possible a clean install of OS X could fix the issue?
The computer hasn't had any issues before this and there doesn't appear to be any battery swelling issues

I made a Genius bar appointment for tomorrow. When I got home last night I took a look at it again (I have a hard time leaving broken things alone...) and for whatever reason, the keyboard started working perfectly again. I managed to boot into safe mode via terminal but the issue persisted. When I booted back into standard mode, the keyboard was working great. This morning when I woke up, it was not working agian, but after rebooting it, it has been working correctly for the last hour.
At one point, I booted into Recovery and looked at the system.log. One error that caught my eye was:
Keyboard Layouts: duplicate keyboard layout identifier -16900.
Mar 7 05:54:10 localhost Unknown[355]: Keyboard Layouts: keyboard layout identifier -16900 has been replaced with -28674.
Any idea what this is, or if it could be causing eratic behavior?
The other odd thing is I cannot boot into any disgnostic modes using shortcut keys before booting. I'd like to reset PRAM, run AHT but none of those commands are working.
I still have my appointment tomorrow, but I'm thinking it is not a hardware issue (with the keyboard at least) since it does work correctly some of the time.

Issue with File Download(messageDownload) on Search Page.

I created a custom OAF search page which fetches values from one table. The document in getting stored in my custom table in a BLOB colums and NOT in FND_LOBS.
The table has 3 collumns along with others:
1st is primary key (Record_Seq) ==> number data type
2nd to store actual file name (File1Name) ==> varcahar2 data type
3rd to store the actual uploaded data (File1Data) ==> BLOB data type
The reason for having the “File1Name” is so that I can display the original file name of the document that was uploaded, instead of just the “view” in the search page results .
On the File1Data BLOB and created a messageDownload for that under query results table with following details:

When I click on the "File1Name" data hyperlink, it is opening only the first document corresponding to the first record in the search page results.

Also one weird thing is happening:
If I try to do this more than 2 times then it is opening the update page with the first record from the search page results…
I tried to print the context and it is nul the first time, But the second time then context is changing to "update". Dont know how this is happening????
Any advice is greatly appreciated as it is very crucial for me to get this resolved ASAP. I have looked at several forums and did a lot of things as advised in the forums . But nothing seems to work for me.

Cisco 3650 Issue with 1231 AP

hi all,
i've got an issue with a new cisco 3650 48 port wherein older AP 1231 keeps on disconnecting.
the connection is just a simple trunk.

Current configuration : 62 bytes

switchport mode trunk
end
1231 is working fine on a 3560.
could someone advice if anything else need to do on 3650?

i don't think it's a cable issue. correction on the working AP, it's supposed to be a AIR-SAP1602E.
this AP is working on the 3650.
i've searched and i think the AIR-AP1231 isn't supported on this switch platform.

this new switch isn't friendly. first, i had the issue with PVLAN and now this :(

Issue with Exceptions in Reporting

Hi BW Gurus,
            I am still new to BW, Like I have a issue with exceptions in reporting.
            Let me explain clearly, I created a report which gives me two MRP values they are for example V1 and PD(there other MRP types but I am focusing only this two). Here I can see in my report those two values and the overall result of all MRP types (they are 6 different types). My report looks like this for examply
   V1                  46,782,434(this are rough figures)
   PD                  56,232,453
   Overall Result      102,434,111
        Here my requirement is I need to find this overall result like accroding to thresold values this overall result shows RED,YELLOW,GREEN.
        I have given threshold values in exceptions. like
   0           -
> 45,000,000(Red)
   45,000,001 -
> 65,000,000 (Yellow)
   65,000,001 -
> 500,000,000 (Green)
       But according to this values I should get Red( Overall Result), I cant see any change in the overall result.
       Please can some one give advice how to reflect this threshold values in my report.Or I have to select any other options in exceptions.

Not really possible with BEx functions, but if you provide a workbook to users you can just type in this information in a non-Bex cell and save the workbook.
Else you can try to name your exception such that it shows the value ranges. Then in the report, from the toolbar Layout > Display Exceptions.
