Issue with dock station and webtop

I purchased a dock station a few days ago but the web top app does not appear as one of the options when I hook it up to my laptop.  Does anyone know if I have to download it or something??

jgiron03,
Congratulations on your new RAZR and dock station! As far as using the WebTop application, as long as you're using a dock and adapter for the app to connect, there should be no issue. I recommend reboot the laptop and the phone, then attempt to reconnect. You can see the WEBTOP steps in the user manual starting on page 25.  Please advise if you continue to have problems so I and the community can assist further.
Thank you!

  • T410 issues with docking station USB on XP

    Hello all
we are deploying the T410 with the docking stations and we are finding that many are getting blod, or freezing when they are docked and are booting up. When they have a USB device plugged in.
I can't locate the issue specifically, as it's happening with USB printers, wireless mice, external monitors using the DVI->USB adapters.
I see there are drivers for USB in vista on the drivers download page, but none for xp
    thoughts or directions here.
    thanks

  • T510 with docking station and SD-8821 external keyboard - stupid Fx key settings

So I have a 510.  Its running XP Pro.  It is attached to a docking station and I have an SD-8821 external "slim" keyboard pulgged in.
My problem is the row of function keys along the top.  I need to use F1 through F12 often in my work, the keys are set to control stuff like volume, sleep, lock, etc.  In order to get the Fx function, I have to press the Fn key first.
I have scoured the internet and there seems to be a an app to change this but my notebook does not have it.  I cannot find it on the Lenovo web site either.  How do I get it?  This is driving me nuts.

  • Dual monitor setup with Docking station and W500 on windows 8

    Hi there
    I have a w500 with ATI Radeon 3650
Trying hard to have it set up with windows 8 and two monitors with my docking station. It worked with XP, Vista, W7...but no go now.
Any solutions out there? I don't care about catalyst control center, or which drivers I have to use, just give me back my two monitors connected to a docking station

I have the same W500 setup and have had no luck finding Windows 8 drivers on Lenovo's site or AMD's. I have a support ticket in to Lenovo to see what they come up with. I have two flat panel monitors that I need to work. According to  MS, Catalyst Control Center has compatibility issues with Win8. It was easy to set up both monitors under Win7 with CCC. I have not been able to set them up using Windows display setting in Control Panel. Does anyone out there know of an app that I can use to replace CCC and run two monitors?

  • IPod will not work with docking stations

My 5th gen iPod works fine except it will not work with docking stations. I can sync it with my computer and it plays fine, just won't work with docking stations and other accessories like the Belkin FM radio converter. I bought a iMode boom box and it does not work properly with my iPod.
    Any ideas??

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Problem with USB port on X6 docking station and X60 laptop

    Hello all,
One of my users is having a problem that when she undocks the X60 laptop from the X6 docking station and then re-docks it later, the devices connected to the USB ports on the X6 docking station are no longer recognized.  Even after repeated re-boots I can't get the USB ports to work.  The USB ports on the laptop still work, but not on the docking station.  Anyone know what I need to do to fix this?
    T

BIOS 2.19 is for X61 series not X60(s).
    Here're my solutions.
Solution 1. Unplug all USB devices from docking station. Reset BIOS to defaults, save settings, reboot, plug all devices back. All of them should work now.
Solution 2. Power off your system. Un-dock your laptop. Unplug all USB devices from docking. Re-dock your laptop back again. Power on your system. Plug all devices back again after system booting. All of devices should work now.
I tested both on my X60s working even if it seems rediculous.
Lenovo promised to send me a new docking; however, I don't think it will help unless new BIOS is released to solve this issue.
Note: the kep point is you have to wait to plug all devices back to docking after system boots.
    Good luck.

  • I have bought a docking station and my iphone works fine but my ipod mini seems to fit on the connection but only works intermittently. Is it a different connection or is there a problem with the ipod?

I have bought a docking station and my iphone works fine but my ipod mini seems to fit on the connection but only works intermittently. Is it a different connection or is there a problem with the ipod?

I think that is happening is that the microphone is on during this recording.  If you play the music through the iPhone speakers, it will record this sound, albeit at very poor quality.  If you say anything (or laugh uproariously as I did while watching the app in action, then that, too, get recorded.
I am still looking for the solution we all want, which is to save the audio in reasonable quality.
Anyone out there with some ideas?
    Cheers,

  • Since updating my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1 I'm having compatibility issues with my speakers and my iTunes wifi sync isn't working. Anyone else having the same problems?

Since updating my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1 I'm having compatibility issues with my speakers / docking station and my iTunes wifi sync isn't working. Anyone else having the same problems? Both worked fine until the update...

Okay. I got it working again by setting it up as a new phone instead of just syncing. Then I backed up. All is good today.

  • External Speakers not working with docking station

A thinkpad is in a docking station and external speakers are plugged in, they don't have any sound. The speakers work fine if they are plugged into the laptop itself. Does anyone have the solution?

    Hi, sjadnew
Apologies, as I wasn't too clear in my last post. If you look on the bottom of the computer, you should see a seven digit code in the format of XXXX-XXX, which is your machine's make and model. If you look on the bottom of the docking station, you should also see a model number, though it may be in a different format. This information can be used to look up the exact docking station and computer hardware to better diagnose. If possible, I would try putting in a request with the IT department to see if you can get the drivers updated.
    Best,
    Adam

  • Still annoying stuck at 0.8Ghz with docking station

if I put my W520 in sleep modus, put in my docking station and start it, it's still stuck at 0,8Ghz! Even throttlestop wont work here!!
taking it off and on the docking station while running makes no difference. oh wrong, there is a difference: as long it is OFF the docking station on battery only, I can get full speed with turbo boost through throttle stop, but beware if I put it on the docking station again ....
only thing I can do is restart the laptop, then I get the message: the wattage of the power adapter is too low compared to the one the system was shipeed with (I HAVE the original 170W power adapter on my docking station!!), and then it starts with TB working fine.
will these issues ever have an end, lenovo?

Thanks for information. The new BIOS totally skipped my attention.
I had power manager unsinstalles and the 1.26 Bios. with the new 1.30, the problem seems to be solved, at least this time.
    Great!

  • X61 dock station and Linux

I have a Thinkpad X61. I bought it without a dock station and I never needed one. Now I need and I want to buy one. It will probably be second hand but that doesn't matter
I want to know if someone used a docking station with Linux distro (Ubuntu or Fedora pref.) I have concerns about network issues.
    Thanks.

I can't specifically give you any guarantees about X61, but I've used several Thinkpads with docking stations under Linux, and so have my colleagues at work, and I've never heard about any problems.
I love docking stations and I think they are well worth it if you can find one cheap.  eBay in the US seems to be full of them, though shipping to Bulgaria might be a different matter...

  • W520 only charges with docking station wall plug does not work

I have experienced this problem twice and am very confused about why it is occuring.
I usually use my W520 laptop on a docking station and when I am at home or travelling I keep it powered by with a wall adapter.  So at work it stays charged and operating from the docking station (i.e. ports on the bottom of the laptop).  When I am at home it stays charged by pulling it in using the Lenovo (170W power adapter).
Last year I was in China working and all of a sudden my laptop would no longer charge and would shutdown when the battery died) with the wall adapter.  I ended up buying a docking station and managed to keep it charged and operating that way.  Obtaining any type of warranty service in China was a major pain but the problem was diagnosed to be an issue with my motherboard.  I returned to Canada and had my computer replaced (computer was about 3 months old).
Now I am back in Canada and have the same problem with my new replacement laptop.  I am puzzled why this keeps happening.  Has this occured with anyone else?  Is the plug on the W520 not very good quality?  Any thoughts or suggestions will be super appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. Actually everyone always thinks it is a problem with the power adapter cable but the cable I am using is the same one for my dock. I only had one cable for my dock and when I am travelling unpug it and use it when I am on the road.
Last time in China they took apart my computer and confirmed (I was watching them as they used the voltmeter) that power and proper voltgage was coming into my computer from the plug and all the way to the board (ie checking every interface along the way). Yet it was not charging the battery or providing power to run the computer. The only way to solv the problem was to use a dock. Only thing I could think of is that maybe something on the bottomdock connector is messed up and hence the computer believes it is connected to the dock and hence not wanting to provide power via the power adapter at the same time to avoid shorting out the board. Any thoughts?

  • W500 Docking Station and Dual Monitors

I had to re-image my laptop (W500) and install same Windows7 64 bit. There is no difference in the configuration with previous Windows7 64 bit installation. In both cases I used docking station and two attached monitors - one with VGA and second with DVI cables. Everything worked just fine before re-imaging. After completing OS installation it cannot recognize DVI port, and I'm stuck with one monitor.
Wondering if anybody had the same issue?

Ok, here is what I did - took laptop out of the docking station, reboot, changed option in the BIOS. Screen is going black that I cannot do anything with my computer. So let it boot into windows and connected remotely from another computer. Scanned for hardware changes and still nothing. Mobile Intel is shown in the Display Adapters. At this point I'm in the corner...
When I reboot laptop display started to work, so I open BIOS and Switchable option was selected again. I'm wondering if "OS Detection for Switchable Grphics" option that is "Enabled" now has something to do with it?
Update: I disable OS Detection and still nothing...

  • ESata for T420s with docking station

I notice the Mini Dock Plus Series 3 - 90W 433810U (as apposed to Mini Dock Series 3 - 90W 433710U) has a eSata port. Will this work with a T420s (which doesn't)?
I'm planning to buy a docking station and use it to connect my 30" 2560x1600 display using a (active) dual-link DVI adaptor but I would also like to use a eSata disk attached. This will decide if I shell out the extra $$$ for the Plus dock or the regular one.
    thanks
    Ash

According to http://support.lenovo.com/en_LK/product-and-parts/detail.page?&LegacyDocID=MIGR-72873, the dock is compatible with the T420s.
If it's like my 135W and 170W docks, you set the dock for the number 2 position which is less than ideal but works.  eSATA off the dock should work fine.

  • T42 non-communication with docking station type 74P6733

When I fit my T42 laptop on to the docking station, the symbol at lower right of screen shows the battery symbol.  Presumably something is wrong with the connection between the two.  How can I find out if it's the laptop or the docking station, and is their a solution?  Please help.

I wonder if anyone reading this lives in Somerset UK, so that I could try this out!  It's so irritating - I'm sure it's just the link between the two units.  When I was first given it, the link would break periodically until I discovered that setting the docking station on a thin paperback book did the trick.  I guess something has just bent, or similar.
I was able to link my Passap knitting machine to DesignaKnit software on the laptop through the docking station for downloading stitch patterns and interactive knitting to the machine.  However, the laptop doesn't have a matching connection, so my husband bought a cable with USB connection.  The designers of the knitting software say this should work, but the screen is saying that the cable isn't plugged into COM1.  Anyone able to help with this please?
