Issue with gcc compiler installation

Hi ,
To install the C Compiler(gcc compiler) on Solaris 9.0 ,I unzipped the following tar files SUNW0gccfss.tar.bz2 and gccfss_src.tar.bz2 but after that when I type gcc ,I get that "SUNW0gccfss is not installed".
Even I used cc command to compile the C Program but I get this error message "language optional software package not installed"
Please advise.
Thanks
Bala

For Sun Studio tools you can download from http://developers.sun.com/sunstudio/downloads/index.jsp . Note the "cc" is /usr/ucb/cc normal shell script which will pickup the sun studio compiler if its installed. If its not present then it throws the error messaget "language optional software package not installed"
If you are looking for compiling with GCC. Grab hold of the Solaris Companion CD from http://www.sun.com/software/solaris/freeware/ and install the all the gcc releated . The CD has "installer" script to install all the development packages.

10.2.0.1 is not supported/certified on Win 2008, so expect issues with the install and/or with using the software.
Why cannot you use a supported version - minimum is 10.2.0.4, which is only available to customers with an Extended Support contract

  • OCCI compilation issue with gcc-3.2.3 on Red Hat ES 2.1

    Hello,
If I use OCCI of Oracle 10g and try to compile it with gcc-3.2.3 on Red Hat ES 2.1, I get linking errors.
The same works if I try to compile OCCI on Red Hat ES 3.0.
Any clues about how to compile the OCCI on RedHat ES/AS 2.1?

Yes, I downloaded the OCCI for gcc-3.2.3.
As I said it works on Red Hat 3.0.
I want to compile it on Red Hat ES 2.1.
I have installed gcc-3.2.3 on Red Hat ES 2.1. But the occi compilation wont succeed onto it.

  • Issue with multiple application installation and server share

    Hi,
    SCCM 2007 SP2 R3 ICP2
    All servers W2K8R2
I am having an issue with software installs.  When using a variable for multiple applciation installs, I get access errors when the applications go to install.  It appears to be a multiple connection issue, but I can't figure out why.
I am using server shares for my DPs.  The proper permissions are set.  The servers (DP) are W2K8R2.  I think it has to do with the way R2 handles the conenctions.  I want to know if this is a known issue or if anyone has come accross
    it.
I am going to post in the software distribution forum as well, but thought this would be a config question.

Hi! I'm waking up this dead thread but I've got a *very* similar problem!
I've got a SCCM 2007 SP2 R3 installation on Win2008.  All clients are in the same ConfigMgr-site. Multiple package deploy in the same site-boundary as the CM-server works excellent. (We've got  three DPs in the same site-boundary as the
    CM-server itself.)
Now, we have a new site-boundary with it's own Protected DP where multiple package deploy fails
but the same packages, being run from the task-sequnce works! So then the client can download, install and run the packages from the proteced DP just fine. All "single" packages install fine before the "Multiple Appliaction"-step.
I've tripple checked that we're running the same packages when we're installing Multiple Packages as we do in the Task-Sequence. And
the same Task-sequence with the Multiple Package installation step

  • Can't access an agent- issues with order and installation

I had my installation for a new service today and had issues with the order. I have been trying to talk to agent after 6 hrs and I still haven't reached anyone. My order is messed up and I have a phone number with the package, but I have no clue what my number is.   I need help ASAP. I'm a new comcast customer and it's already going bad. I was with Direct tv for 7 years and had no issues with them. The installation process was seamless with DTV....Comcast...not so much.

Sorry to hear about your issues with Comcast. I let a Comcast employee from the corporate office know about your issues and have requested that they reach out to you. If you don't hear from anyone soon, let me know.

  • Driver issues with Windows 7 installation through Bootcamp

Some background:  I've got Windows 7 62 bit installed on a 30 gb partition via Bootcamp.  My Macbook is from the summer of 2010, and it's currently running Snow Leopard.  I don't have a copy of the Mac OS X installation disc (it didn't come with my Macbook), so instead I downloaded the drivers off the Apple website (Boot Camp Support Software 5.0.5033) and put it on a flashdrive.
Issue:  Once I've got Windows running, I can't begin the driver installation.
Attempted Fix:  Initially I got the message that I needed extended privileges to be able to access the installation setup, so I used the runaround (command prompt) to give it the privileges necessary to run the setup.  The drivers appeared to install, but nothing really changed.
    I used this runaround: http://joepetruska.com/wordpress/?p=208
    However, I didn't have the file bootcamp64.msi, so I used bootcamp.msi.  I checked all the driver folders, but I didn't see bootcamp64.msi.
Any and all help would be appreciated!

First of all, windows is either 64 bit or 32 bit, not 62 bit.
Second thing, do you have Macbook Pro? since you have mid 2010 macbook but it is not supported by the Boot Camp Support Software 5.0.5033 for MacBook Pro 13 inch-Mid 2010 is not supported.
Instead of this you need to download and install
    Boot Camp Support Software 4.0.4131
for which system requirements are :
MacBook (Late 2006 through Mid 2010)
MacBook Air (Early 2008 through Late 2010)
MacBook Pro (Core 2 Duo, 2.4/2.2GHz, Early 2008 through Late 2011)
Mac Pro (Mid 2006 through Mid 2010)
iMac (Early 2006 through Mid 2011)
    which matches your system requirement.

  • Issue with boot camp installation

Hi, i have som problem with installing boot camp. I get an error message in the Windows installation guide that my superdrive are missing the correct drivers. I have tried to eject the Windows disk to insert my Snow Leopard recovery disk, but i cant eject it during the set up.
    Any suggestions?

First post so sorry if this is not in the right place but wanted to post this so it might help someone.  I have installed boot camp on macbook air and had no issues.  We were trying to install Boot Camp on new macbook pro with 10.7.4 and boot camp 4.0.4.  We could not get it to burn the windows support files.  It would download the windows support files but fail to burn every time with no option to save the file.  I forget the exact verbage.  After searching all over the web  / forums, etc we tried several times and it would fail every time.  We finally thought that maybe it was too large of a download to fit on a CD so we tried it with a DVD and BINGO!!  I feel stupid but seriously!!!!  It couldn't just tell us that the target was not large enough.  Just wanted to post for others.  Thanks

Yes Finally I Got the solution.
    please check
    >r3trans -d   To Check Conectivity between Apps and DB Server.
If 000 then its OK- mean connectivity is OK, in this case all work.
when I was installing Second system then tnsname.ora and listner file was creating and privios system entry was removed.  DUE to that reasion First one goes down.
Solution:-  Both system entry should be Listner and tnsname file. Then Both server will work.

  • Configuration issue with OPS Center installation on OEL 5 update 5

    Hi,
I have installed OPS Center 11g on an OEL 5 update 5. All prereqs, i think, is met and installation gives no warnings or errors.
When I try to access the web page to run the configuration wizard. It hangs with the "LOADING" message, after logon. And nothing more happens.
In the bottom left corner of the browser i have the DONE message. But an error behind.

    Hello Kai,
I am not sure to completely understand your logs since they don't seem to be written in English but
could it be that you are using Firefox 4.0 ? ( only firefox 2 and 3 and IE 7 and 8 are supported ).
Also, do you have enough free RAM ( 1-2 GB ) on the browser's machine ?
Lastly, you can check the prerequisites with
    /var/opt/sun/xvm/OCDoctor/OCDoctor.sh ec-prereq force
    /var/opt/sun/xvm/OCDoctor/OCDoctor.sh --troubleshoot
    Cheers

  • ISE Posture Remediation issue with AV client installation

Problem: If  user start AV client installation in pc via AV link remediation after some time (while AV client  installation not completed yet) trend micro Update windows gets pop up but not start automatic AV or AS def  remediation and Cisco NAC agent shows the message AV definition is not up to date.
Also some time NAC agent give message automatic remediation failed or required user intervention to press ok so NAC can complete remediation process.
I am facing this issues when users don’t have Antivirus client in pc and performing client installation.
We have the following posture policies,
1      AV installation check: if AV is not installed in PC then perform link remediation and let user to download the Antivirus client from provided link.
2      AV definition & AS definition version check (both remediation requirement I putted in one policy): if AV or AS definition version found old then perform automatic remediation.
    3.     WSUS check
    4      SP   check
Actually I want, first user install AV client via link remediation once installation complete then move to AV & AS def remediation if required (because in first time AV client installation it automatically download all update from the AV server) otherwise def remediate policy wait for AV client installation completion.
Please can anybody let me know how remediation work internally ? like if  "AV inst" remediation start  so nac agent wait for it completion and don't start other remediation process e.g AS & AV def?
Second question:what is remediation process sequence ?
Third question: is there anyway we can configure timer in remediation process e.g 5 min for AV inst then 3 min for AV & AS def remediation and then go to other posture remediations ?

Please check the below guide for Posture Configuration:
