Issue with hearing a track

I am a brand new user of Audition 1.0 and still in the baby steps of learning and understanding the program. So far, I have managed to do pretty well figuring everything out. But yesterday I spent all day recording a new piece and after everything was said and done I played it a couple times it sounded great then I walked away for about an hour for rehearsal; came back and now one of the tracks won't play. Mute is not pressed; I can still see the entire .wav file in the screen and I got it to work for 15 min, and then it happened again. I can't think of anything either times that I pressed that was out of norm and the .wav file won't play at all in any session; it is just silence even though you can see the waveform and everything.
thanks for any help, considering I've only been using the program 3 weeks it's probably something much easier than I think.

Audition 1??? Er, that was back in the dark ages! Audition 1.0 didn't last very long - it was effectively a rebadged CEP2.1. You sure that's what you mean? We should establish that this is correct first, I think...
And what you are describing doesn't sound in the slightest like normal behaviour for that version either. It was/is pretty reliable from that POV.

Hello everyone. I need some help with my DVD Reel. … Please
I have a DVDSP project that I’ve been using and updating for the last year. It contains over 100 small 4-minute clips (Mpeg-2 Video + AC3 Audio) plus a lot of menus and buttons….
Everything worked nice and perfect… except that I added some surround clips last week (using stories)… so now I have one audio track (A1) with all stereo audio and a second audio track (A2) with my surround audio. Again, no problems until today when I used the same track to add a new clip with stereo audio only (A1)…. And it doesn’t want to playback on DVD Player (but it plays in the simulator)…
…. Now here is the question. Does the additional (surround) audio track have anything to do with this problem or is there any other reason why the stereo clip didn’t want to play after the surround clip? … or Do I need to create stories for my stereo clips from now on?
Some more information: I’m using Final Cut Pro and Compressor to crate my media… Intel Mac OS X… DVD Studio Pro Version 4.1.2.

Got an almost kind of (but not really) similar problem. I have videos with multiple audio (AAC and AC3 passthru) in an m4v file. the AAC is always defaulted with the "enable" tick in the properties box. I've tried almost everything I can think of to enable the AC3 track by default so that frontrow or QT will play it. but everytime I save (even save-as) it defaults back to the AAC stereo.
Any ideas? is this a "feature" of 7.5.5?

X-Fi unit issues with Win 7

I have a SB X-fi Xtreme unit in my system. It was running XPsp3 and ran just fine. Upgraded to Win 7 home premium. Now some video files have issues with the sound tracks but music seems to be okay. Itunes seems to play my music just fine (although a couple of things may be boarderline - hearing sux LOL). I can't narrow it down to any particular video type since it happens on FLV, MPG, MOV and other extensions. VLC and MS MP both show these issues. Playing stuff on Youtube and elsewhere acts up. I am running the creative 8/3 release 5.2..208. I went to the website and tried the dri've upgrade available ?but it errors out saying that it does not find a device. I also installed various codecs since I figured that might be a cause. Any help is welcome. BTW I am running 32bit.

I have also downloaded both:
XFXA_PCDRV_LB__04_0000.exe and
XFXA_PCDRV_LB__04_0090.exe
version 0000 gives me a message that it'scould not find a?device type?error and closes
version 0090 didn't complete (I waited 5 minutes and there was no disk activity - task manager said it was working) under normal mode
I then ran 0090 under XP sp3?compatibility and got a 'driver not found' error.

CS2 is totally unsupported under Win 7. And if you have 6 gigs of RAM I'll guess that it's a 64 bit system which simply adds to the complexity.
Sorry, but the best advice you'll get is to upgrade.

THE use of the apple support is a mess also.
I want to be able to use my MAC fully and easily like I used to with Snow Leopard.

The only people who can possibly assist you with this is Apple Customer Relations, call your local Apple contact number and ask for Customer Relations then explain your situation clearly and politely (be firm but don't rant).
You might want to investiage what the local laws are regarding defective goods and 'fit for use' definitions on warranties etc. Consumer Protection can be a useful tool to use or bargain with if needed ...

Has anyone had issues with not hearing the text alerts on the iPhone 5?

hello i have been having issues with my iphone 5 not hearing the text alert tones.it will go from time to time & only hear the vibrating sound, The wired part is all other alerts work fine , just text.
Has anyone having this same issue ? Also i noticed sometimes when i text, i'll see some crazy blury lines go across my screen like as i text it will move across any help?

I have had that issue with no text alert sound and also with calls, no ring for the call but then I got a missed call or voicemail alert. Never had the blurry lines though. Right after I upgraded, the ring changed to a very short version of what I have selected and only rang once, other times not at all. This was a very big problem since I am working from my car most of the day and get a lot of calls and texts. I did a reset with home button and button on the top as described in a post somewhere here on the forum and the problems stopped. So far so good. Give reset a try!

I have upgraded my iphone 5 to new iOS7 where I see that we have a new shorcut feature Control Center to turn on Wifi, Blutooth, Air Play etc..In the same we have for MUSIC where I am not able to pause or stop music and also cant go to next track and issue withe those buttons.

Last point...who archives? On my regular email page I now have the Archive icon to the left of my Delete icon which I would prefer was to the left, first in the line as this is the icon I use mostly. With Folders, my Sent and Trash lists, who needs to archive?
I can help you only with the placement of the icon placement -- if you right-mouse click on the toolbar, then select Customize Toolbar, you can move an icon to where you want it to be.

Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried.
1. If you've recently plugged anything into the audio-out (headphone) port, plug and unplug it a couple of times.
2. From the menu bar, select
 ▹ System Preferences ▹ Sound ▹ Output
Check the settings. The internal speakers should be selected as the output device, the Mute box should not be checked, and the volume slider should be at least halfway to the right.
3. Look inside the headphone port. If a red light is coming from the port, the internal switch is stuck in the position for digital output. You may be able to free it by inserting and removing a headphone mini-stereo jack of the proper size.Inserting any kind of tool in the port may cause damage that won't be covered by your warranty.
4. Boot in safe mode by holding down the shift key at the startup chime. It will take much longer than usual. You don't have to log in; just reboot as usual (without holding any keys) when the login screen appears. (Note: If FileVault is enabled under OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode.)
5. Reset the NVRAM.
6. Reset the SMC.
7. Reinstall OS X after backing up all data as a precaution. You won't need your backup unless something goes wrong.
8. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store.
Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to bare metal from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.
*An SSD doesn't need to be zeroed.

I have a sync issue with any songs name track 1 or 2 so on ..even though my itune shows I have the play list right but after i sync the same 20 tracks play very different tracks, it doesn't happen when I sync other songs that actually have names

Premiere Elements 7 issue with track 1

I just recently switched to premier elements 7. When I first switched it was fine, but now when I bring video into the timeline it always creates new Tracks and will not allow me to put it into Track 1. No idea why this is happening and it's not the end of the world, except when things are put in automatically they are put onto Track 1, and I can't even move my video from Track 2 to Track 1. My computer is Vista home premium. Any help would be appreciated!

Hmm. I see that this is a dual-format cam that will also record in MPEG2.
How are you getting this MPEG into your computer? Are you using Premiere Elements' Media Downloader to pull it off your hard drive?
Also, for this video you should be using the project preset for hard drive or DVD camcorders.
I'm not an expert on these dual-format camcorders, so there could be an issue with it using 5.1 audio, if it is for those MPEG. That could lead to the problems you're describing.

Logic issue with MS Band Sleep Tracking

If I do a both ends of the candle night, so hit the sack at 2am on the 10th of the month, then try to make amends that night by turning in at 10pm then the Band tracker records this as no sleep at all on the 9th, but 2 sleeps on the 10th. Well that just
nonsense. The logic isn't hard and I can guarantee the dev team understand. So this is BUG and it would be rather nice to see it fixed before Azure ML gets confused about my sleep patterns and predicts my early demise.

I have had the exact same problems, only I have not cycled so I can't relate to that complaint. I have had an issue with my units of Distance now displaying incorrectly. Prior to last week, my units were in Miles, and now they are in Kilometers. I don't see anywhere to change that in the Settings.
Also, I contacted Joe in Support yesterday, and he had me reset my SmartBand and my phone (equivalent of rebooting) to see if that fixed anything. It did not. Then he instructed me to uninstall the Sony Apps on my phone, and re-install them. I did that, and it worked temporarily. All my historical data was now displaying correctly, until this morning when I woke up, and my sleep is back to being > 100 hours for last night, but my historical data still seems to be fine. The problem seems to be during the initial capture of the data. When I am on my timeline and I move the time forward, at midnight, the increments increase exponentially, rather than normal speed. Prior to midnight, all is fine.
I have a Nike+ Fuel Band and got the Sony SWR10 primarily for Sleep Monitoring. Now I am unable to do anything with the data because it is not accurate. Also, I'm an avid runner and would appreciate the ability to change from KM back to Miles...this is a basic necessity.

Skeleton tracking issue with kinect studio v2

We have an issue related to skeleton tracking using kinect studio v2. The skeleton is not showing when we playback a stream in a connected mode. Note that when we recorded the stream the Nui Body Frame, Nui Body Index, Nui Depth, Nui IR are selected.
Is there a way to show the skeleton in a connected mode during playback with kinect studio?

Connected mode will regenerate body data based on those data streams. Recording body data in the capture is only used when using VGB. You need to ensure that you have captured the "lock-on" state for body tracking. Best practice is to cover the
sensor and start your recording. When you see the body lock-on, then you have captured the lock on state and then perform the action you need then stop recording.

Issues with 'Mute' in Audio Track

Hi All
1. Using Premiere Pro CC (Fully Up to Date)
Was wondering if I could get assistance with what I believe is an issue with the Mute Button in an Audio Track. Firstly my understanding is that, if I use the 'Mute' button either in the Audio Mixer or the icon in the Timeline to mute a clip or track, it is only a temporary action and once you uncheck mute the track reverts back to it state before the Mute.ie normal audio. I have been doing some voice overs directly into the timeline using a USB Microphone / Headset and on those occasions have gone through the steps of Arming, Solo (The Voice Over Track) and then record. I am not sure if this is related but just included to give a background. When checking the levels and doing a bit of fine tuning I find the following issue. As the play head moves along the timeline if goes into a Mute condition and also appear in the Audio Mixer as Mute. It is though it is seeing a 'key frame' that tells it to mute at that point, hence my earlier question regarding (when Mute, is it temporary). I immediately uncheck Mute but when I recheck over that area of the video it is On/Off On /Off. I have tried to see if there are 'key frames / markers that indicate start and end of "Mute' in that Audio track but no luck.
Am I correct in the assumption that mute is a temporary action and should not be a permanent action at that point, or have I done something to create this issue.

I just read some related threads and I am beginning to suspect the action of the 'Solo' function could be causing the issue. I can not say for certain but I did some other VO in another sequence in the same project and only used the 'Mute" in the other tracks, not using Solo didn't seem to have this issue. Then I did a bit of reading in an earlier CS3 manual that advised using 'Solo' now I seem to have this issue. I totally agree have tried different audio, removing area of offending audio but still comes back??????

nomenclature aside for a moment, 10.6.8 is correct but maybe more is necessary about the MacBook Pro: it is 'old': Identifier: 1.2, Intel Core Duo, 2.16 GHz, 1 Processor, L2 2 MB, RAM 2 GB.
i hope that is enough to get an answer to this: is it unadvisable to update its OS; in other words, if i update to 10.9, will the machine be able to handle it, 'speedwise'?
