Issue with Hierachy display

Hi Friends,
I have a report in which there is  0RGUNIT (hierarchy), thats the only IO in the rows rest all are in free chars.
When i run the report and drag on of the free chars it should be available in the next row i.e next to 0orgunit, but strangley it is displaying under the hierarchy of 0ORGUNIT. can someone please tell me how to correct this? is there a setting which i need to change?.
Your help is appreciated.
Thanks in adv

Hi Suman,
There were no patched upgraded recently. I did notice something, if i run the query using analyzer and on the ouput if i select the options
1) Query Properties
2) Data Formatting
3) Display as (Select radio buttion Multi dimensional View)
4) tick the check box  " Display Columns Hierarchically and Expand To"
Then this works the way I want, but strangely i cant find this setting in Query Designer. If i want to change the query in the Analyzer I dont have authorization to change it in the analyzer.

  • Major Issues with Thunderbolt Display in Yosemite

I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2013). I'm having issues with thunderbolt display connectivity despite recent Thunderbolt Firmware update. The sleep wake function is not working and display with shut off sporadically.
MacBookPro10,2   Processor Name: Intel Core i7   Processor Speed: 3 GHz   Number of Processors: 1   Total Number of Cores: 2   L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB   L3 Cache: 4 MB   Memory: 8 GB

Same problem here. I was so excited to see a firmware update this morning for my mac pro, and sure enough as i sat here, the display went black again.

  • WebI issue with hierarchy display and aggregation

Trying to wrangle what looks like a defect in WebI's handling of hierarchy display and aggregation. We just completed an update cycle and are running BOBJ 4.1 SP4.
The hierarchy is a standard FM Commitment Item hierarchy in which both the nodes and leaves are Commitment Items (i.e. it uses InfoObject nodes, not text nodes). An example of one of these nodes looks like this in BW:
    Cmmt_Item A - Node
        Cmmt_Item B - Leaf
        Cmmt_Item C - Leaf
Let's pretend Commitment Item A has $50 posted to it, B has $20 and C has $30. Analysis for OLAP handles this by adding a virtual leaf line to distinguish postings that are on the parent node like so:
    Cmmt_Item A - Node       $100
        Cmmt_Item A - Leaf    $50
        Cmmt_Item B - Leaf    $20
        Cmmt_Item C - Leaf    $30
So you see both the total for the node ($100) and a line for each Commitment Items with KFs posted to them. Our users like this. They can easily see the aggregation and the breakdown.
WebI, on the other hand, will display it like this:
    Cmmt_Item A - Node       $150
        Cmmt_Item B - Leaf    $20
        Cmmt_Item C - Leaf    $30
It doesn't create a separate line for the value of the parent node, but it does add it's value into the aggregate. Twice. Modifying the table with the 'avoid duplicate row aggregation' checkbox yields output like this:
    Cmmt_Item A - Node       $100
    Cmmt_Item A - Node        $50
        Cmmt_Item B - Leaf    $20
        Cmmt_Item C - Leaf    $30
We're about halfway there. While the top row now shows the correct aggregation and it creates a new line to show the distinct amount on the parent node, that new line appears on the same level as the parent. It's no longer clear that there's an aggregate and a breakdown. And attempting to expand or contract a node will now crash the report with one of those 'Error 16' messages.
Has anyone encountered this issue with hierarchies in WebI? This report was built from scratch in 4.1, so I'm not sure if this affects older versions or not. Or if it would affect any hierarchy that uses InfoObject nodes instead of text nodes.

Without a fix, the simplest workaround I can think of would be to restructure the hierarchy. It can't use postable nodes, so Cmmt_Item A  - Node from my example would need to be converted into a text node and the postable characteristic added as a child on the same level as the B and C leaves.
This looks like it would affect anyone using hierarchies with postable nodes in a WebI report.
Another oddity in WebI's behavior here - even though the postable nodes show incorrect sums the sum at the root node is correct. So extending my examples from the original post:
    Root Node                    $100
        Cmmt_Item A - Node       $150
            Cmmt_Item B - Leaf    $20
            Cmmt_Item C - Leaf    $30

  • Long standing issue with Caller Display

Hello, I hope someone may be able to help.
We have had no caller display service since just before Christmas, some six or so weeks ago now.
I must have called 151 nearly 10 times, received several calls back, one visit from Openreach, made three BT complaints, had my reported fault closed several times as the "end user says it is working" (I presume that is me? I certainly havent told anyone at BT it is working!), and must have been on the phone trying to solve this issue for more than 5 or 6 hours in total.  What a waste of my time.
Essentially, my elderly and disabled parents receive lots of marketing, sales, unwanted type phonecalls etc, and with caller display previously it has helped them decide if they want to pick up the phone or not.  They want to answer calls to friends and family etc, but not to these "nuisance" calls.
Everything worked fine til just before Christmas, when we found out Caller Display was now going to be a chargeable service.  I dont mind paying for something if it works, and we "opted in".
However, we still have difficulties with caller display.
    17070 works fine.
*#234# tells me callers ID will be displayed.
Several openreach engineers checked exchange and uploaded new software etc.
The problem still exists some 6 or more weeks on!
This cannot continue.  I am just going round in circles all the time, speaking with various people on the phone at BT.
What can I do next?  Citizens Advice?, Ombudsmen?, letter to BT Chairman?
We are not happy bunnies here, but if anyone could help......I would be exceptionally grateful!!
    Thank you.

Still no solution, nearly two months now!
Not good.  Can I get a refund please on the caller ID service as I believe I have been paying £1.75/month since January 4th?
I still want to problem sorted by the way......
    Any update RobbieMac?
    Thanks.
Did you agree a new contract  because in your earlier post you say
Everything worked fine til just before Christmas, when we found out Caller Display was now going to be a chargeable service.  I dont mind paying for something if it works, and we "opted in". "
if you did then you will not have been paying for caller ID

  • Website Issues with Retina Displays

An apple rep stated, that “Yes, some websites are not very clear when viewed with a retina display.” He wouldn’t elaborate further. So, is this a problem? If it is, how major of one is it?
Also, is there a real difference between the retina display and a high-res non-glare display?  I really like non-glare displays. This apple rep also admitted that although there is less glare in the new retina displays than the previous high-res screens, they are still not as ‘non-glare’ as the older MBP ‘non-glare’ screens.  What’s your opinion about this?  No one really likes any glare if they can get away with it. But is the retina display really a big deal?

I have not had any issues with web sites. Be aware that if a web site is coded to be 1024 pixels wide and you have your screen resolution set at 2880 wide then the page will be very small and the text unreadable. So you will have to decide what is the best resolution for you. I have mine set at 1920x1200 pixels and all web sites seem to work well.
There is a noticeable difference between the retina and the glossy screens. About 70% less glare according to Apple. Seems right from my experience.
You should go to an Apple store and check out the display for yourself.

  • Solution for sleep issues with external display?

I had an Early 2011 Macbook Pro that worked quite well with an external display.  I now have a Mid 2012 Macbook Pro (bought 5 days ago, and running 10.10.3) that will not consistently work with the same external monitor.
I had it working yesterday for a few hours only if I left the MBP with the top open (both the MBP screen and external monitor stayed lit).  But, today it is back to freezing each time the monitor is connected to it.
    I have tried:
    1.  Connecting the external monitor to the MBP with the top open.  Results in the MBP screen now going dark and no signal being passed to the external monitor.  If the external monitor is disconnected, the MBP screens stays dark and the computer is unresponsive requiring a hard restart.
    2.  Connecting the external monitor to the MBP with the top closed.  Results in no signal being sent to the external monitor.  Disconnecting the external monitor and reopening the MBP yields, again, and unresponsive computer which requires a hard restart.
I have tried three different external monitors, all giving the same result.  The MBP is connect to external power, and I am running the latest OS (10.10.3).
Any suggestions before I return this to the Apple store in a rage?  :-)

    Hello there, Gaflin.
I'm sorry to hear you're having so much trouble getting your external display to work the way you are expecting with your new MacBook Pro. The following Knowledge Base article provides a great checklist of steps for troubleshooting the issue you seem to be describing:
Apple computers: Troubleshooting issues with video on internal or external displays - Apple Support
No video or no signal, image distortion, "snow," or flickering
    Check connections
When using an external display be sure to check the following:
If you're using an Apple notebook, confirm the AC power cable or adapter is securely connected to the computer and the cable providing power to the display is also secure. It is always good to have your notebook connected to AC power when an external display is in use.
Confirm display adapters are fully seated in their respective connections and that they are supported models and for the computer and display. Refer to these articles to assist you with adapter compatibility and further configuration information:
    Monitor and Display Adapter Table
About Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapters
Apple Mini DisplayPort adapters: Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Thunderbolt ports and displays: Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Remove all display cable extenders, KVM switches, or other like devices and retest to determine if the issue is resolved.
Try unplugging the video adapter or cable and then plug it back in.
If more than one video adapter is in use (or "daisy-chained"), troubleshoot by using only one adapter.
Example: A mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter connected to a DVI to HDMI adapter is an unsupported configuration because there is a series of adapters in use.
If available, try using a different display and or adapter (or use a different connector by using DVI instead of VGA, for instance).
    Reset the system
You can reset the Mac's parameter RAM and SMC.Reset the resolution
Start by resetting the Mac's parameter RAM. If the display does not come up, was previously set to an unsupported resolution, and still results in no video:
    Start up in Safe Mode.
From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences.
Choose Displays from the View menu to open the preferences pane.
Select any resolution and refresh rate that your display supports.
    Restart your computer.
Using Closed lid, Extended Desktop, or Mirroring display modes
When using multiple displays, information can be presented in a number of ways. For more information and what modes are supported by your Apple product refer to:

  • Issue with the display on MBP 15" with anti-glare screen

    Hi Everyone,
my MBP 15" is only 7 months old, so I need to dig the warranty info out.
However, I am curious to know whether anyone else has experienced a similar issue with their screen.  Mine has developed a series of small shadows at the bottom of the screen, it almost looks like a theatre stage!!
Has anyone else had this problem?

Many people have. It's a fault in the display backlight. Have it repaired while your machine is still under warranty.

  • Issue with Icons display in PUSH BUTTONS in forms 11g

    Hello,
This is regarding an issue with the icons background for the push buttons in the forms 11g. When we enable the icons for the buttons (.gif) they are visible on the
top left corner of the buttons and not in the centre. In one of the forums it was written like this is a common problem in Forms 11g. Is there any way by which we can
centralize this icons on the Forms buttons. Also I have heard that image editing tools can be used to centralize the icons. I tried with one of the tools but it seems
    like it is not working.
Can somebody suggest a workaround for this?
    Thanks in Advance
    Ram

I will assume you are attempting to use the images included in the Forms applet jar. These images are purposely structured so that the subject is off-centered. You should not see that same behavior if you use your own images or edit the ones built-in to Forms. However, keep in mind that the images packaged in the Forms applet jar are intended to be used in a menu toolbar and not custom buttons.

  • OS X 10.7.2.2 issues with Thunderbolt Display

Help! With Thunderbolt display, Mac-mini and OS X 10.7.2.2 I get a blank screen when mini reawakens from sleep. Moving the cursor around like a paint brush reveals a portion of the underlying log-in screen. Once I uncover my user icon and log-in, my desktop will appear and function normally!!!
IS this caused by (1) the Thunderbolt display, (2) the latest Lion update or a combination of both ? I experienced no problems with older display and Lion 10.7 !!
    Any solutions/recommendations?

  • Smartview 9.3.3 issue with Options Display tab Replacement NoData

I am testing an upgrade from 9.3.1 to 9.3.3. I have Office 2010 on a new WindowsXP laptop and using IE8.
What I have found with the Options menu on the Display tab that it will NOT let me put the value zero in the fields for Replacement #NoData or #NoAccess.
This is a huge problem for us as we use excel packs to upload our monthly reporting packs and have excel formula and HsGet formula built into the pack and when you refresh you get #Value error now instead of the no data fields populating with zero.
Has anyone else had this issue and can suggest a solution please.
    Thanks

Try #numericzero. I don't have an 9.3.x client handy but if my memory is correct this is what you need. Please note the memory is not as good as it used to be so don't be too mad at me if this is not it...

  • Issue with XML display.

    Hi,
We have generated IDocs for Invoices and also dispatched it using RSEOUT00 program via an XML port. IDoc is getting generated and is being placed in the application server successfully. But, when we download XML to the local drive and open, it does not display due to error in the header of the XML, which is currently '<?xml version = "1.0"?>'.
We identified that this issue is due to missing character set encoding in the XML header and correct header format should be '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1" ?>'
Can you please tell me how to incorporate this character set in the XML header by a particular setting in the configuration of the IDoc set up so that, our idocs are correctly converted into XMLs with this character set?
    Vishy.

  • Reader 10.1 issues - with 150% Display setting

I've waited a long time for the latest version of Reader (10.1.0.534) which came out yesterday. I keenly updated to it today and went testing (with my fingers crossed), only to find that it still doesn't fix the issues I'm encountering with my PCs Display set to 150% (Win 7 SP1 x64) - all the issues are all still there.
Firstly - when using under the latest IE9 I've noticed the following:
The top toolbar won't work and clicking on any button has no effect
The bottom (floating) toolbar is similarly ineffective
Somehow after I found 2 above, I've managed to loose the bottom floating toolbar altogether (and alt-F8 or F8 wont bring it back - not that its vital)
Right Clicking on the screen brings up an option panel away from the mouse
When used as a standalone app (again at 150% Display setting in Win 7) I've noticed:
The illumination of the Close, Maximise and Minimise buttons when the mouse is rolled over them is irregular and if the mouse becomes stationary on any of those buttons, the illumination goes.
Setting Display to 100% (or even 125% from provisional testing) seems to elliminate these bugs but is Adobe going to buy me some binoculars so I can see the tiny buttons and fonts on my HTPC screen from 6' away...
In this day and age of Windows coming with a perfectly capable Media Centre interface, many users of HTPCs have them set up with high resolution monitors (or TVs as the monitor) and leaving the display set to 100% is no good for regular PC functions (such as web browsing or pdf reading).
Please fix this Adobe. I've already applied to be a pre-release tester (and my application hasn't been picked up/followed up). I just feel I'm getting my moneys worth out of this product!

    Hi..
    Try removing a plugin...
    Quit Safari.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type this exactly as you see it here:
    /Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Move the Adobe PDF Browser plugin (or just PDF Browser plugin) from the Internet Plug-Ins folder to the Trash.
    Relaunch Safari to test.

  • TS3977 Issue with extended display using Displaylink USB to DVI since upgrading to Mavericks.

I have an issue now since upgrading to Mavericks with my extended display monitor using a displaylink DVI to USB adapter. After awhile, the monitor goes blank. I can unplug the connection from the USB port and plug it back in and the display comes back, only to go out again a short time later.
It worked fine for months prior to the upgrade.
Apple say it's Dispalylink's problem and Displaylink says it's Apple's problem. Anyone else having this or a similar isssue?

Someone opened a bug report with Apple in another thread - about a different product that used DisplayLink drivers, and Apple blamed the vendor.
I have many issues too. Crashing Window Manager, and once it crashed my Mac.
I also have many issues... one is corrupt display. The icons are missing in the menubar on my laptop, and squished together on my external monitor:
They are there if I mouse over, but invisible.
I can't click on the squished ones, they are to close.

  • Window issue with Multiple displays

I have a problem with my new iMac (late 2013) wich is connected to a secondary display (HP w2448hc) with DVI-Minidisplay port adapter.
When Maverick wake from sleep, all de windows are hidden in the screen corners so I can't move them, even if the app is in full-screen mode.
I know how to solve the issue (changing any of the displays preferences options), but is an annoying issue. ¿Anyone knows how to prevent this ?
    I attach some captures:

    Hi Amy,
One thing that may be causing a problem is that TOTAL_COMPANY is a parent in both H1 and H2.  My understanding is that TOTAL_COMPANY can be a parent in H1 OR H2, but not both.
    Hope this helps.

  • Issue with external display darkening via HDMI on macbook air using VLC

I had a 2010 macbook pro which never had this issue.
When I play a downloaded movie on macbook air in VLC anywhere from 45 min to 1 hour the tv will darken to barely see anything, I then have to hit esc to take VLC out of full screen mode then select full screen mode again and the tv is back to normal brightness showing movie.
This does not happen with Miro, but most of the downloaded movies (avi) do not have sound in Miro which is why I use VLC when Miro has no sound for a particular movie.
Anyone run into this issue before with VLC on a macbook air using mini display port to HDMI on a TV?
This wouldnt be an issue if the sound worked in Miro for these movies! Some AVI files do have sound in Miro but most do not.
    Thanks!!!

Bought the mini display port -> dvi adaptor, plugged in the dvi and everything seems to be fixed.
Nice crisp 1920x1080 display, no shivers...
Looks like the signal from vga is not robust enough for this resolution.
    Solved.
