Issue with Internet Explorer on Lumia 920 Windows ...
The built-in Internet Explorer browser can't handle drop-down menus. On touch, the options are shown, the menu rolls out, but when lifting finger, it rolls back instantly so you can't make a choice. If trying to move finger to the sub-menu, the entire screen moves with the menu title fixed under your fingers, as when shifting a web page sideways. So the sub menu again can't be accessed. If using two fingers, the browser doesn't respond when selecting the sub menu. If pressing too long (>1 second) you're asked to share the link on e.g. Twitter... There seems to be no way of accessing the sub menu. So now I'm eternally logged on to LinkedIn since the logout is in an inaccessible drop down menu. Any way to solve this issue? When will this Internet. Explorer error be fixed? It's been there for months now.(May 2013)
I have the same issue on my lumia 920, love the phone but this is such a nightmare and pretty bad, considering the competition like i phone and Motorola g have no problems like this, plus its pretty embarrassing, i need this access for work, if there is no fix i may have to switch to another brand

Wordpress website issues with Internet Explorer 8,9,10
Hi,
I have developed a website using Wordpress. http://www.worldretailcongress.cn/
While I have no issues loading up the website on the Google Chrome and Firefox, I have been experiencing severe display issues with Internet Explorer. Sometimes the page appears to be broken.. while on other times, I cannot click through an action on the
iframe.
I tried using the meta tags <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=Edge"> to force the page to load the latest engine...
And then as described on this blog, I added yet another meta tag http://2slick.com/web/wordpress-problem-with-ie9internet-explorer-9/affordablewebsitestips/tutorials
<meta
http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible"
content="IE=EmulateIE8">
Could someone help me, how could I solve this?
Best regards,
Prashanthttp://www.worldretailcongress.cn/
The only thing that I can load is your favicon
http://www.worldretailcongress.cn/favicon.ico
I was going to say that Modern.IE couldn't see anything either but while I was composing this it came back

Weird graphics and other issues with internet explorer in all versions.
One of our laptops has an issue with their Internet Explorer. First, whenever the user logs on and starts internet explorer and navigates to any website, the website loads for a bit but then immediately displays a "Page cannot be displayed" error.
Every single time. If we try browsing again/refreshing the page it loads fine. But during regular browsing, we might get that page again.
Another issue that happens is sometimes the graphics logos won't load properly. See screenshot:
http://i.imgur.com/0usOPpu.jpg
And this happens a lot. If this won't happen, the websites will only load with half its formatting missing.
Now we have:
-Thoroughly checked computer for viruses. Several full scans have been done with MalwareBytes with no issues found. Microsoft Security Essentials has been installed, full scan done, no viruses/spyware/adware found.
-We have tried upgrading to IE11. Same issue. Downgraded to IE10. Same issue. Downgraded to IE9, same issue yet again. IE was Reset each time.
We checked if it could be a network issue, but none of the other computers connected to the same switch has issue like that.
Any suggestions/ideas to try?Hi,
I suggest you temporary disable antivirus and firewall, then check the result.
You may try the steps from the links below to check the issue:
"Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" error
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/956196/en-us
Internet Explorer "Page Cannot be Displayed" error due to Bad Proxy Server Timeout
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2551554
You may also refer to the computer or device manufacturer website and try installing the latest version of chipset, graphics card and video card drivers and check.
Hope it helps.

Blair Deng

Performance issue with internet explorer 11 on tools 8.53.13
We are on Peoplesoft application 9.1 with tools 8.53.13, the end users are on Windows 7.
Almost all the instances are having issues at first login, it spins indefinitely and when users goes back and refreshes the browser a couple of times some users will be lucky to get through the login screen while others continue to have the same issue. Please let us know if you had experienced similar issues.Hi Alvin,
Thanks for the response, we dont have issues with firefox or chrome, but the customer wants to use IE only.

I'm on my company website and all of the content appears much smaller than usual. I can't find Tools to adjust the appearance. I check on Internet Explorer and the same website looks normal.

ABAP webdynpro iView issue with Internet explorer
Greetings,
We are trying to integrate ABAP webdynpro with portal using the standard SAP webdynpro iView template, we are able to successfully integrate and display on portal pages.
However if we are using IE version 7.0 browser we do not have any issues, but when we try to use IE version 6.0 the webdynpro portal pages does not display any content. A workaround was to open up the IE settings and change the setting for Navigate sub-frames across different domains to 'enable' from 'disable'.
This fixed the issue.
Also we came across information that we can change the setting to force the portal to use the css from the ABAP backend by changing the iView property 'Supply portal stylesheet' from 'Yes' to 'No'. Does this affect the portal behavior in rendering content in MS IE.
Please let us know if there are any other methods to overcome this issue, as this will affect many of our users.
iview isolation is of type 'URL'
page isolation is set to 'Embedded'
Portal page used is default framework type not webdynpro type
thanks,
SudhirGreetings,
This issue was fixed.

Issues with Internet Explorer and iTunes
I'll pull up iTunes and any other window and iTunes will keep popping up over any other window I'm trying to view, music playing or not. It gets aggrivating trying read the news and iTunes to keep popping up any have this problem or does anyone know how to trouble shoot this or solve? Thanks.
There are lots of posts about this, but I don't think anyone has ever come back to say if they found what was causing it on their system.
Does it happen every 30 seconds on your PC? That seems to be the magic timer.
I suspect some other program has a 30-second timer set to do....something with itunes. If I had Win 7 and my PC was doing this, I'd use SysInternal's Process Monitor to try and figure out why. -
Flash Player 11.8.800.94 video issues with Internet Explorer 10.
I have the latest version of Flash Player installed. I cannot view videos from facebook, foxnews, etc. unless I make them full-screen. However, to do this I have to guess where the maximize button is on the various types of videos. That can be interesting. I can hear the audio, though. Any ideas or suggestions? I am running Windows 7.
No, the problem still occurs.
It's weird there are no plug-in errors or something.

as a side note: a few weeks ago, I made a new clean Mac OS installation because of a harddrive replacement. So, the whole system is actually very tidy... -
Displays Correctly In Chrome But Issues With Internet Explorer
Hi -
My site is up at tkpf.info. The banner slider works fine on Chrome, not so much on IE. Any ideas why it's so messed up on IE? I tried playing with different versions of java script but that doesn't seem to make any difference. It also seems fine in my DW preview.
Thanks
JerryI don't think jQuery ver 2.0 works with older browsers. You should probably drop back to the latest stable release -- currently ver 1.11

If your plugins don't work with the latest, you could try adding jQuery Migrate to the mix.

Othewise, look for better plugins.

Issue with Internet Explorer and Java Plug-in
Hi, I have a problem here and I hope someone knows whats going on. I have installed the Java Plug-in 1.4.0_01 and I have no problems using the plugin from Netscape.
Now when i try to load the applets using IE, it will not use the Sun plug-in that is installed. I have selected both IE and Netscape in the Java Plug-in Control Panel and IE still does not want to use the plug-in.
Is their a way to force IE to use the plugin?
Thanks!!

Response.TransmitFile not working with Internet Explorer 11
My website works fine with FireFox, and it worked fine with Internet Explorer too up until a few weeks ago (at least). Now, with Internet Explorer 11 (running on Windows 8 Pro 64 bit), when I click the button to download the file (a Word document),
nothing happens. In FireFox, a dialog is presented asking the user to save or open the file.
What is going on??? I have been having nothing but problems with IE11. Extremely poor performance all around.
HELP!!!!
Here is the C# code in question:
Response.TransmitFile(filename_goes_here)
Response.Flush();
HttpContext.Current.ApplicationInstance.CompleteRequest();
The three lines above are wrapped in a try/catch, and no exception is thrown. This is a web-related question. THose are best asked in the ASP.Net forum:

Authentication issues on Windows 7 with Internet Explorer 8 (Crystal 2008)
Hi,
We are in the process of migrating from Windows XP to Windows 7 (with Internet Explorer 8).
I have noticed that a web application which depends on Crystal 2008 is behaving differently in the new environment. For example, when I try to load a report I get this error:
Access to report file denied. Another program may be using it.
I know that this error can be caused by a permissions problem on the Windows temp folder, and I know there are various ways of pinpointing the exact permissions problem and various ways of resolving if that's the case. The fix that worked for us in Windows XP does not seem to work in Windows 7. My gut feeling is that IE is passing credential in some way differently from how it did before.
Since many aspects of security are so different in Windows 7 compared with XP, I was hoping to find some general guidelines from SAP/Crystal re: how to deploy or configure the client/server in this environment.
Are there any general guidelines available?
Thank you for any help... shannonHi Shannon,
Not really, CR assumes it can access all of it's dependencies so it is a permission issue. Other than the usual config issues with IIS, full access to the emp folder, full permissions on the Viewer folder, setting the framework in App pool correctly, etc.
Do you have Service Pack 3 installed for Cr 2008 and the latest Fix Pack 3.5?

EPrint for windows 7 64 bit with internet explorer 10
When will HP create a eprint for 64 bit windows that work with internet explorer 10 and 11?
No worries at all. According to this: Internet Explorer 9 and Later Versions are Not Compatible with HP Smart Web Printing, the new version of HP Smart Print is compatible with IE 10 and earlier.
Also, this Thread: Re: HP Smart Print v2.1 and IE10, answered by VisionAiry, has a great suggestion and walk through to get HP Smart Print on Google Chrome.
I hope this information as helped.
