  • Having an issue with a page in the internet

    Hello,
    I registered to the forum a few days ago but did not introduce myself. Please accept my apology.
    I have a Blackberry style 9670 model, of which I am very happy with.
    I was having an issue with a page in the internet, in which I was receiving errors on my device. My daughter has a Blackberry Curve and she was able to access the page without any errors. I can not figure out why I do.
    Thanks

    I am not sure if this is the same issue but there was a bug that caused small exchange numbers to become negative which was resolved in one of the 11.1.1.3 patches, it is worth logging into My Oracle Support and having a look at the patches available.
    9588147 – In exchange rates table, entering very small values become negative after you save the data forms. For example, 0.000071 becomes –7.1E-5 after you save the exchange rate.
    Cheers

  • Timed out issue in jsp page!

    Dears,
    It is really amazing for me to see this issue in my application which I deployed in Oracle Application Server 10g r2.
    I am using JDeveloper 10g to create jsp pages.
    On one jsp page i am displaying 15 html tables for a report.
    All tables have 1 query to get records from oracle 10g database.
    Am opening one connection and than one by one running queries just before each table and rendering data through ResultSet
    (which is scrollable).
    If I test this page from JDeveloper, it is displaying fine.
    But when I deploy this page in Oracle Application Server 10g,
    and create a portlet and show this jsp page in portlet and open this page,
    this page most of the time giving 'TIMED OUT', and a few times displaying report properly.
    I tried PreparedStatement to run multiple queries for Oracle DB, but couldn't make it successfully.
    BTW,
    I checked my OAS log, it shows following error:
    09/03/16 18:39:08 hrwfapp: [instance=(null), id=(null)] ERROR: Request has exceeded its warning timeout Time[elapsed=61046ms.
    Warning timeout=20000ms.] Request[id=5003532663665,3 providerId=493501 portletId=117 portletName=AttritionReports
    portletInstance=35555_ATTRITIONREPORTS_493501 user=PUBLIC] Thread[ name=AJPRequestHandler-ApplicationServerThread-6
    priority=5 alive=true interrupted=false groupName=ApplicationServerThreadGroup]
    Please help me in this regard, what should I do to avoid Timed out issue.
    Best Regards

    Hi,
    if this occurs only in combination with portlets then I would try the Oracle Portal forum for help or use customer support to help you analyzing the issue

  • Issue with normal page link redirecting to SSO page / forbidden page

    Hi,
    I am having an issue with a number of pages within my portal.
    I have a 'List of Objects' that has been working for some time, each link in the list linked to another page.
    Just lately a number of pages that are linked to within this list are not loading correctly.
    When one of the items is selected, the correct page is initially displayed, but then after a couple of seconds the page is redirected to the 'Single Sign-On' page, or alternatively the page is redirected to a 'Forbidden' page with this error:
    Forbidden
    You don't have permission to access /pls/orasso/orasso.wwsso_app_admin.ls_login on this server.
    (This page will also show up after the user tries to login when the page is redirected to the SSO page).
    As well as this issue occuring at the front end, the same issue is happening when the pages are loaded from the back end, in the Navigator.
    This issue is even happening when the page is opened up in 'edit' mode using the ORCLADMIN user.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!!
    Amanda.

    Figured it out...

  • I'm using Firefox 3.6.23 on my windows 2000 and lately i've been having issues with web pages loading and need help figuring out why.

    Some of the issues : '''1'''. Page loads blank showing web address in tab. Try reloading usually with no results.(problem have the most!) '''2'''. Message appears "problem loading page, server not found" (diff times & diff websites). '''3.''' Pg with msg "oops link broke, DNS error, server not found" then lists suggested links to sites for fix though all links connect to site IGEARED.COM. (new issue) I don't know what to do please help me identify and fix my issue(s) in english, kind of a newbie : ). thx

    Try this.
    Type in the address bar about:config.
    Accept the warning.
    In the page that appears, in the Filter box, type network.http.max-connections. Change the value to 32 (which is probably set to 256 in your case).
    Close that page. Restart the browser.

  • Issues with having pages display correctley. It does this in multiple browsers, Chrome, IE, and FF. Some pages display correctley.

    I have been having trouble viewing pages in multiple browsers since last night. It has done this with me before. I am using an Acer Aspire and also Firefox version 23. I've tried looking online and following suggestions such as clearing the cache, retarting in safe mode, etc. Nothing seems to work. It's only on certain pages. For example- Facebook works and displays fine. It's when I go to websites like Amazon, Wix, Ebay, and others that I get the issue. The pages are displaying with a white background and just text/links and basic images. I've checked the page style and it is on Basic Page Style. Here is what I have:

    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Design issue with JSP

    I've been rather thrown into the deep end of a JSP project, of which I have no prior experience, and have a couple of basic design questions.
    My project requires a number of web pages, delivered in sequence, to guide a user to a result. A 'wizard' if you will. The presentation code will need to make frequent trips to the back end system which will update it with status and what to do next.
    My assumption is that for this type of application, a set of JSP pages would be the right way forward. Access stage1.jsp, which provides an HTML link to stage2.jsp, and so on. Each page uses a bean which does the required clever back end stuff.
    The alternative, being pushed by a colleague, is to have a set of servlet/JSP page pairs.The servlet is the entry point, which does the back end stuff and sets up a bunch of values within the request, then it forwards to a JSP page which displays the values using EL to get at the values the servlet has prepared.
    Is one of these the "standard" way of doing it? After several hours of discussion we've not been able to decide if either way has any particular benefits that the other doesn't.
    One problem I'm starting to see with my approach is that returning information from the bean to the JSP page leaves the page needing to understand how to present the information, and that sort of logic isn't easy to express in JSP. For example, the JSP uses the bean to learn that 6 wotsits are available, but numbers 2 and 3 have been disabled.The JSP page needs to list the 4 that are ready, then perhaps list the other 2 elsewhere depending on another bean-derived value. Putting this sort of presentation logic into a servlet is straightforward, but if we do it my way than it's up to the JSP to try to sort it out. Which right now I don't know how to do, or whether it's even possible. I think what I need is for the JSP to hand this 6-wotsit list off to another piece of Java code which will generate the appropriate HTML for it - clearly not something the bean should be doing. Can I do that from another bit of servlet code somehow, without using a servlet to do the whole page?

After several hours of discussion we've not been able to decide if either way has any particular benefits that the other doesn't.When you comes to the point that the standard taglibs/EL doesn't provide the needed functionality and you're forced to use a scriptlet, then it's time to use a Servlet.Um, so you're saying that both approaches are valid under the appropriate circumstances?There are circumstances/webapps where just a JSP page and a (smart) Javabean suffices without the need for any servlet (and scriptlet). It all solely depends on what you need and what the technology provides. If you need to have more control over the request (e.g. forwarding to another destination page depending on submitted input and/or result), a Servlet is more appropriate.
    Scriptlets are bad? Or at least not recommended?It's for sure NOT recommended. It's simply a sign of a bad practice. It unneccessarily tight-couples your presentation logic with business or even database logic. They simply doesn't belong in a JSP and collides with the "MVC" nature and also makes the code harder to read/maintain/test/debug/reuse. It's a (too) long living remnant of the first form of the JSP technology and its use has been discouraged since the introduction of taglibs/EL about a decade ago. Right now, it's at highest only useful for "quick testing" and "prototyping", for sole playing, testing and demonstration purposes only.

  • Problems with JSP pages and BC objects

    Hi all. I have a new problem. I'm creating an application based on a database, using BC and JSP pages. I created entity objects from tables and then view objects. I put these view objects in an Application Module. When I test my view objects from This Application Module all works, but when I create a new JSP, I can't drag and drop any view objects in it. I'm using Jdev 10.1.2.
    Is there any one who can help me?
    Thank you,
    Caterina.

    I'm using the MVC pattern, so I have a Model directory that contains my BC, and a ViewController directory in which I want to create JSP pages with a Struts page flow.

  • Sharing Portal database connection with JSP page

    Hi out there,
    I implemented a JSP page as a selection form to be integrated into Oracle Portal. This JSP page contains a 'dynamic' form which needs to send queries to the database also integrated in the Portal.
    For this I am currently using a JDBC connection but I would prefer to use the internal db connection of the Portal System.
    Explanation: The user has to log in to the Portal and after that can call the JSP form. To poulate some comboboxes within this form I need some data from the database and the user does have READING privileges on that database.
    Can anybody tell me how to use the user's login and password (or the established connection) to fetch the needed data from the database OTHER than with a jdbc connection?
    Thanx in advance!
    Cheers,
    Thomas

    sorry. not going to happen. you're running in a completely different environment when running Java on Portal. Portal is running in the database; your Java is running on the application server. your Java code must use JDBC to access any database resources, even if Portal related.
    it is essential that you implement a connection pool on the application server to optimize your database traffic. check out bitmechanic for a very good open source option.
    good luck,

  • Having issues with loading pages with large web articles..

    I'm having issues with pages loading all the way when I read articles off of wikipedia. Mainly from pages that have tons and tons of text, but it doesn't make sense. The browser indicates that the page is loaded all the way, but when I make it half way down the page, everything becomes completely white. Like LITERALLY everything becomes white. This prevents me from reading any further down the page, even though I would force the page to scroll down all the way, that doesn't help one bit.
    Does anyone have a solution or a fix to this? I would like to continue reading my web articles, without being interrupted with these white pages/bugs.
    Post relates to: HP TouchPad (WiFi)

    Try clearing the cache for the web browser. While the browser is open, go up to Web/Preferences and choose "Clear cache".
    Also try rebooting the TouchPad via Device Info/Reset Options/Restart.

  • What kind of database can I use with jsp pages?

    Well I have been an ASP programer for a while and now I want to be able to host sites on an Apache server so that means i need to just jsp pages or something that is not windows dependant. So I need to start a database, a small one just for client information, and I don't know what to create it in. I was going to use MS acess but I am guessing that won't work with jsp. So what are my options for desktop database applications? Should I download star office and try that I havne't ever used that but I imagine it comes with some kind of database program. Well let me know thanks.

    JSP should work with any database that worked with ASP. The key is to use JDBC which is the equivalent to ADO. As long as you get the appropriate driver for the database, you're all set. As the previous poster mentioned, for MS Access you must use a JDBC-ODBC bridge which is really a JDBC driver that works on top of ODBC. This is the worst performing type of driver, but if you're using MS Access then perhaps performance isn't a priority.
    Check out the Sun tutorial on JDBC if interested.

  • Problems with JSP-Pages in more than 1 Frame

    I have 4 Frames on my Page and every Frame is a JSP-Page. Every Page has different Data Tags, different View Objects etc.
    I could run each of the 4 Pages without getting an error-message, but after starting the Frameset-Page, I get the Error-Message:
    Error Message: JBO-27022: Failed to load value at index 1 with java object of type
    java.lang.String due to java.sql.SQLException.
    Now I press the Reload-Button of my Browser and it works !!!
    Could anyone help me ?

    Um, what am I missing? What is the work around? Is it impossible to use frames and data tag JSPs? Heino, how did you get around this problem?
    Do I have to create separate App Modules for each frame (yuck)
    Thanks!

  • Help with jsp page

    I have a servlet which passes details to a jsp page, i am having trouble picking up what is passed in the jsp page can somebody help me with this?
    this is the lines from the servlet which should pass the data:
    request.setAttribute("notvalid", "whatShouldIputHere");
                   RequestDispatcher dispatcher = getServletContext().getRequestDispatcher("/mypage.jsp");
                   dispatcher.forward(request, response);          This is the jsp page i have tried to make:
    <body>
         <jsp:usebean id="notvalid"
              class ="site.validator2"
              Scope="request"     />
         <h1>message: </h1>
         <jsp:getProperty name="notvalid" property="notvalid" />
    </body>
    </html>

    The fundamental problem is that the OP is asking questions about Servlet and JSP development without fully understanding the basics of containers and the rendezvous method of data sharing, life-cycle, data scope, and the like.
    It is better that (s)he read up on the basics.

  • Mission Control/ Expose issue with stacked pages hard to view. Please help

    Is it just me or is there a real issue with the way Mission Control/ Expose displays these stacked windows? For instance, I had about 6 finder windows open, showing 6 different folders on my Desktop. If I then use Mission Control to quickly access a particular folder, it displays all my finder windows together, stacked up on one another and this makes it almost impossible to view which particular folder i want. It doesnt have the folder names displayed so this is seriuosly time consuming now. Is this something im doing wrong, or is it a valid issue?
    many thanks

    If you are just trying to see all the Finder windows which are available, just invoke App expose. I use a 4 finger swipe down. If you are in finder, just swipe. If you are in another application, hover your mouse over the Finder icon in the dock and swipe. All the windows are easy to see.
    (You can, of course, do this with any application, not just the Finder.)

  • Help with jsp page and bpel process

    I learnt BPEL process is a web service and it could be invoked.
    I want to write a jsp page to do it.
    I read about Locator, Idelliveryservice,normalizedmessage...
    The method addPart of normalizedmessage class take only one string (other than payload) or an element.
    If i have 2 or more variables in payload, have i to use
    normmessage.addPart(...,var1)
    normmessage.addPart(...,var2)
    normmessage.addPart(...,var3)
    or have i to put all the variable in an element and use only once addPart?
    Thanks
    Ema
    PS-Is there a precise example about this problem? i read only "loandemo" process and "helloworld" process.

    Here's how I built mine:
    String xml = "<EmailControlProcessRequest xmlns=\"http://xmlns.oracle.com/EmailControl\">"
    + "<input>" + input + "</input>" + "<changeType>" + changeType + "</changeType>" + "<days>" + days + "</days>" + "</EmailControlProcessRequest>"
    Basically, look inside JDev to see the how your whole variable is formed. Then, build your xml string according to how it's built.
    My variable is built like this:
    <EmailControlProcessRequest>
    <input>input info</input>
    <changeType>changeType info</changeType>
    <days>days info</days>
    </EmailControlProcessRequest>
    Then, after that, I do this:
    NormalizedMessage nm = new NormalizedMessage();
    nm.addPart("payload", xml);
