Issue with LACP on SRW2008 with W2k8
Hello,
I'm trying to configure the LACP for W2k8 and I have strange thing :
My network is :
1 SRW2008 with
a Synology NAS connected with LACP
my PC running under W2k8 with LACP
1 another PC with single
1 Router running with DD-WRT fw , used for DHCP , WIFI and for the internet connexion
I have a Dual NIC Intel and the LACP is active on my PC w2k8 , I can see my network connected at 2 Gb/s. I can surf ping the swr2008 , my router and my printer connect by wifi. I cannot ping the other PC and my NAS connected to the srw2008.
when I disconnect 1 cable of my LACP of my PC I can ping everything
if I configure w2k8 not with lacp but with ALB I can ping everything
my question is :
How to configure LACP 802.3ad on w2k8 and have the ping working to the other system connected to the srw2008 ?
Thanks a lot
Emmanuel
Steve,
Are you having an issue with incoming or outgoing mail?
If the issue is with outgoing email this article may be helpful:

If you are using an IMAP server provided by your employer, you may not be able to access the server without VPN.
Hope this helps,

ADDT Code issues with w2k8 IIS7/FastCGI?
Has one else experienced any issues with the ADDT Dynamic List code not working with IIS7/FastCGI on w2k8?
Fresh install of 2k8 ent, w/iis7 and fastcgi running. Most applications work just fine but there semes to be issues with pages that have ADDT dynamic list/forms. IE when you try to click on edit from the list it takes you to a blank form insted of the individual record.Thread moved to Dreamweaver Application Development forum.

Issue with AFP server dropping connections on 10.8.5 server 2.2.2
We are having issues with users getting dropped from their AFP server shares.
These issues did not start happening until we upgraded to 10.8.5 and server 2.2.2
the first symptoms were an occasional user would lose his / her active connection while copying files. They were unable to disconnect from the network shares without physically disconnecting the LAN or disabling the network on their system. Once the connection was removed they could reconnect to the network and establish their AFP shares again.
However this his escalated to every user losing connections to their AFP shares at the same time.
The server has no AFP error in the AFP error log however we are getting diskutil crash reports at around the same time. (See Below)
The server has
smalltree 1x6 8254 with latest drivers supporting a LACP bonded 6 pair connecting to an edgecore (LACP configured)switch.
small tree 10Gb card directly connected to an edit station.
onboard ethernet connected to switch in support of DHCP & DNS. (previous version of server would not see the bonded pair)
Two Accusys A12S2's
(we did not have this dropping connection issue before the upgrade to server 2.2.2 and OSX 10.8.5)
Users connected to any network connection to the server appear to be affected when the AFP shares are disconnected. Direcet connect, onboard ethernet port and Bonded pair connections)
diskutil verifies all shared drives appear to be ok. (All Green)

Hi All
Apologies if this is a long one but I thought the more information I can provide the better.
We have recently designed and built a new Hyper-V environment for a client, utilising Windows Server R2 / System Centre 2012 R2 however since putting it into production, we are now seeing problems with Virtual Machine Queues. These manifest themselves as
either very high latency inside virtual machines (we’re talking 200 – 400 mSec round trip times), packet loss or complete connectivity loss for VMs. Not all VMs are affected however the problem does manifest itself on all hosts. I am aware of these issues
having cropped up in the past with Broadcom NICs.
I'll give you a little bit of background into the problem...
Frist, the environment is based entirely on Dell hardware (Equallogic Storage, PowerConnect Switching and PE R720 VM Hosts). this environment was based on Server 2012 and a decision was taken to bring this up to speed to R2. This was due to a number
of quite compelling reasons, mainly surrounding reliability. The core virtualisation infrastructure consists of four VM hosts in a Hyper-V Cluster.
Prior to the redesign, each VM host had 12 NICs installed:
Quad port on-board Broadcom 5720 daughter card: Two NICs assigned to a host management team whilst the other two NICs in the same adapter formed a Live Migration / Cluster heartbeat team, to which a VM switch was connected with two vNICs exposed to the
management OS. Latest drivers and firmware installed. The Converged Fabric team here was configured in LACP Address Hash (Min Queues mode), each NIC having the same two processor cores assigned. The management team is identically configured.
Two additional Intel i350 quad port NICs: 4 NICs teamed for the production VM Switch uplink and 4 for iSCSI MPIO. Latest drivers and firmware. The VM Switch team spans both physical NICs to provide some level of NIC level fault tolerance, whilst the remaining
4 NICs for ISCSI MPIO are also balanced across the two NICs for the same reasons.
The initial driver for upgrading was that we were once again seeing issues with VMQ in the old design with the converged fabric design. The two vNics in the management OS for each of these networks were tagged to specific VLANs (that were obviously accessible
to the same designated NICs in each of the VM hosts).
In this setup, a similar issue was being experienced to our present issue. Once again, the Converged Fabric vNICs in the Host OS would on occasion, either lose connectivity or exhibit very high round trip times and packet loss. This seemed to correlate with
a significant increase in bandwidth through the converged fabric, such as when initiating a Live Migration and would then affect both vNICS connectivity. This would cause packet loss / connectivity loss for both the Live Migration and Cluster Heartbeat vNICs
which in turn would trigger all sorts of horrid goings on in the cluster. If we disabled VMQ on the physical adapters and the team multiplex adapter, the problem went away. Obviously disabling VMQ is something that we really don’t want to resort to.
So…. The decision to refresh the environment with 2012 R2 across the board (which was also driven by other factors and not just this issue alone) was accelerated.
In the new environment, we replaced the Quad Port Broadcom 5720 Daughter Cards in the hosts with new Intel i350 QP Daughter cards to keep the NICs identical across the board. The Cluster heartbeat / Live Migration networks now use an SMB Multichannel configuration,
utilising the same two NICs as in the old design in two isolated untagged port VLANs. This part of the re-design is now working very well (Live Migrations now complete much faster I hasten to add!!)
However…. The same VMQ issues that we witnessed previously have now arisen on the production VM Switch which is used to uplink the virtual machines on each host to the outside world.
The Production VM Switch is configured as follows:
Same configuration as the original infrastructure: 4 Intel 1GbE i350 NICs, two of which are in one physical quad port NIC, whilst the other two are in an identical NIC, directly below it. The remaining 2 ports from each card function as iSCSI MPIO
interfaces to the SAN. We did this to try and achieve NIC level fault tolerance. The latest Firmware and Drivers have been installed for all hardware (including the NICs) fresh from the latest Dell Server Updates DVD (V14.10).
In each host, the above 4 VM Switch NICs are formed into a Switch independent, Dynamic team (Sum of Queues mode), each physical NIC has
RSS disabled and VMQ enabled and the Team Multiplex adapter also has RSS disabled an VMQ enabled. Secondly, each NIC is configured to use a single processor core for VMQ. As this is a Sum of Queues team, cores do not overlap
and as the host processors have Hyper Threading enabled, only cores (not logical execution units) are assigned to RSS or VMQ. The configuration of the VM Switch NICs looks as follows when running Get-NetAdapterVMQ on the hosts:
Name InterfaceDescription
Enabled BaseVmqProcessor MaxProcessors NumberOfReceive
Queues
VM_SWITCH_ETH01 Intel(R) Gigabit 4P I350-t A...#8 True 0:10 1

Load is hardly an issue on these NICs and a single core seems to have sufficed in the old design, so this was carried forward into the new.
The loss of connectivity / high latency (200 – 400 mSec as before) only seems to arise when a VM is moved via Live Migration from host to host. If I setup a constant ping to a test candidate VM and move it to another host, I get about 5 dropped pings
at the point where the remaining memory pages / CPU state are transferred, followed by an dramatic increase in latency once the VM is up and running on the destination host. It seems as though the destination host is struggling to allocate the VM NIC to a
queue. I can then move the VM back and forth between hosts and the problem may or may not occur again. It is very intermittent. There is always a lengthy pause in VM network connectivity during the live migration process however, longer than I have seen in
the past (usually only a ping or two are lost, however we are now seeing 5 or more before VM Nework connectivity is restored on the destination host, this being enough to cause a disruption to the workload).
If we disable VMQ entirely on the VM NICs and VM Switch Team Multiplex adapter on one of the hosts as a test, things behave as expected. A migration completes within the time of a standard TCP timeout.
VMQ looks to be working, as if I run Get-NetAdapterVMQQueue on one of the hosts, I can see that Queues are being allocated to VM NICs accordingly. I can also see that VM NICs are appearing in Hyper-V manager with “VMQ Active”.
It goes without saying that we really don’t want to disable VMQ, however given the nature of our clients business, we really cannot afford for these issues to crop up. If I can’t find a resolution here, I will be left with no choice as ironically, we see
less issues with VMQ disabled compared to it being enabled.
I hope this is enough information to go on and if you need any more, please do let me know. Any help here would be most appreciated.
I have gone over the configuration again and again and everything appears to have been configured correctly, however I am struggling with this one.
Many thanks
MattHi Gleb
I can't seem to attach any images / links until my account has been verified.
There are a couple of entries in the ndisplatform/Operational log.
Event ID 7- Querying for OID 4194369794 on TeamNic {C67CA7BE-0B53-4C93-86C4-1716808B2C96} failed. OidBuffer is failed. Status = -1073676266
And

And

It would appear as though the two GUIDS in the second and third events correlate with two of the NICs in the VM Switch team (the affected team).
Under MSLBFO Provider/Operational, there are also quite a few of the following errors:
Event ID 8 - Failing NBL send on TeamNic 0xffffe00129b79010
How can I find out what tNIC correlates with "0xffffe00129b79010"
Without the use of the nice little table that I put together (that I can't upload), the NICs and Teams are configured as follows:
Production VM Switch Team (x4 Interfaces) - Intel i350 Quad Port NICs. As above, the team itself is balanced across physical cards (two ports from each card). External SCVMM Logical Switch is uplinked to this team. Serves
as the main VM Switch for all Production Virtual machines. Team Mode is Switch Independent / Dynamic (Sum of Queues). RSS is disabled on all of the physical NICs in this team as well as the Multiplex adapter itself. VMQ configuration is as follows:
Interface Name - BaseVMQProc - MaxProcs
- VMQ / RSS
VM_SWITCH_ETH01 10
1 VMQ
VM_SWITCH_ETH02 12
1 VMQ
VM_SWITCH_ETH03 14
1 VMQ
VM_SWITCH_ETH04 16
1 VMQ
SMB Fabric (x2 Interfaces) - Intel i350 Quad Port on-board daughter card. As above, these two NICs are in separate, VLAN isolated subnets that provide SMB Multichannel transport for Live Migration traffic and CSV Redirect / Cluster
Heartbeat data. These NICs are not teamed. VMQ is disabled on both of these NICs. Here is the RSS configuration for these interfaces that we have implemented:
Interface Name - BaseVMQProc - MaxProcs
- VMQ / RSS
SMB_FABRIC_ETH01 18 2
RSS
SMB_FABRIC_ETH02 18 2
RSS
ISCSI SAN (x4 Interfaces) - Intel i350 Quad Port NICs. Once again, no teaming is required here as these serve as our ISCSI SAN interfaces (MPIO enabled) to the hosts. These four interfaces are balanced across two physical cards as per
the VM Switch team above. No VMQ on these NICS, however RSS is enabled as follows:
Interface Name - BaseVMQProc - MaxProcs
- VMQ / RSS
ISCSI_SAN_ETH01 2 2
RSS
ISCSI_SAN_ETH02 6 2
RSS
ISCSI_SAN_ETH03 2
2 RSS
ISCSI_SAN_ETH04 6
2 RSS
Management Team (x2 Interfaces) - The second two interfaces of the Intel i350 Quad Port on-board daughter card. Serves as the Management uplink to the host. As there are some management workloads hosted in this
cluster, a VM Switch is connected to this team, hence a vNIC is exposed to the Host OS in order to manage the Parent Partition. Teaming mode is Switch Independent / Address Hash (Min Queues). As there is a VM Switch connected to this team, the NICs
are configured for VMQ, thus RSS has been disabled:
Interface Name - BaseVMQProc - MaxProcs
- VMQ / RSS
MAN_SWITCH_ETH01 22 1
VMQ
MAN_SWITCH_ETH02 22 1 VMQ
We are limited as to the number of physical cores that we can allocate to VMQ and RSS so where possible, we have tried balance NICs over all available cores where practical.
Hope this helps.
Any more info required, please ask.
Kind Regards

Distributed Cache Mode With W2k8 Enterprise ServerCore ???
Hi, can someone teach me how to configure BranchCache in Distributed Cache Mode with W2k8 Enterprise ServerCore? tks a lot!
Hi,
Since Server Core installation provides a minimal environment for running specific server roles, which reduces the maintenance and management requirements and the attack surface for those server
roles, so the installation process of BranchCache Distributed Cache Mode is the same as the Windows Server 2008 with GUI. Since there isn’t any official document about this, I suggest we could use the following guides as reference.
BranchCache Distributed Cache Mode Step by Step Guide

Here are some articles about how to configure a Server Core installation, they may be useful to us.

Issues with Windows Server 2008
Hi,
I am facing a issue with my PROD and DEVE systems. Initially I installed ECC6 SR3 on PROD with Windows Server 2008 and only ABAP stack as JAVA stack is not fully supported. Now I am planning to install DEVE server with Windows 2003 in which I will have both ABAP and JAVA stacks.
I just wanted to know whether there will be any sort of communication or support issues between PROD and DEVE systems with such diverse configurations.
Awaiting replies.> I just wanted to know whether there will be any sort of communication or support issues between PROD and DEVE systems with such diverse configurations.
No.
You could even use HP-UX on the DEV system - as long as you're able to share a common directory to ensure transporting it's not a problem. Transports are OS and DB independent.
However, memory management and security in Windows 2008 changed significantly, you may have to use different configurations for W2K8 vs. W2K3.

Experincing issues with 2960X switch
Hi there.
We are experincing issues with 2960X switch losing the ability to recognise the modules that are inserted in SFP ports.
Initially, the modules are recognised, usable and will happily participate in cross-stack etherchannels. However, after a period of time - and this ranges from a couple of hours to a few days, the links go down on the 2960X-side but are still registered as up on at the other end of the etherchannel.
2960X stack 1 Po1(SD) LACP Gi3/0/49(D) Gi3/0/51(D)
3750G stack 2 Po2(SD) LACP Gi1/0/23(I) Gi2/0/22(I)
When the link fails, the member switch loses the ability to identify modules inserted - it knows they are there, but it cannot identify them. Having a look at the controller for one of them and it's having trouble, see below:-
sh controllers ethernet-controller gi3/0/49 phy detail
GigabitEthernet3/0/49 (gpn: 457, port-number: 49)
hulc_sfp_iic_intf_read_eeprom sfp _index 0 yeti_iic_read_retry fail
hulc_sfp_iic_intf_read_eeprom sfp _index 0 yeti_iic_read_retry fail
hulc_sfp_iic_intf_read_eeprom sfp _index 0 yeti_iic_read_retry fail
A 'sh int' gives:-
Auto-duplex, Auto-speed, link type is auto, media type is unknown.
Reboot the stack or just the member and everything resets and works again - for a period of time. I've swapped from compatible to Cisco-brand modules inbetween restarts and it doesn't prevent the issue reoccuring.
The slots all fail at the same time and once they're in the error state, that switch has to be restarted before it will recongnise anything inserted in any slot.
I have this issue on two seperate stacks in two different sites. We're running 15.0(2)EX4.
Has anyone seen anything like this? Particularly interested in this which I've seen using the sh controllers cmd and on the console once after a reboot. hulc_sfp_iic_intf_read_eeprom sfp _index 0 yeti_iic_read_retry fail
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Issues with Creative Cloud for teams deployment workflow
The Adobe Creative Cloud for teams IT Deployment Guide lists out steps for IT admins to deploy the CS6 applications and then have their end-users license the trial software with their Adobe IDs once they have been invited to the team. There are two major issues with this document.
First, the media that is on the FTP is not for North American English. We are working to get that posted on the FTP site ASAP. In the meantime, you can find the CS6 MC media from: http://www.adobe.com/downloads/
[Note: Getting media from that page requires the use of the Adobe Download Assistant which is very consumer focused. Sorry about that.]
Second, in order to have the ability to login properly with a Creative Cloud for Teams account the system needs to have the latest copy of Adobe Application Manager installed. If you do not do this step the end user will be prompted for a serial number.
Unfortunately the Adobe Application Manager can’t be packaged with AAMEE nor is it a native installer. I know, I know! Here are the links to the Adobe Application Manager installers:
Windows: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773
Mac: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4774
It can be installed from command line by:
Win: <Path to Setup.exe>Set-up.exe –mode=silent –action=install
Mac: <path to ASU> /ASU/Install.app/Contents/MacOS/Install –mode=silent –action=install
Jody Rodgers | Sr. Product Manager | Creative Cloud for Enterprise | Adobe SystemsHi Boncker,
I see that you have an active Subscription under your account . Please launch any of the installed product and when you get the trial prompt , please click on License this software and then Enter the Adobe Id & Password for the account that you have accepted the invite .
Please do let us know if that worked for you or not .

Issue with magsafe/charging (blinks green, amber, off)
Having a quirky issue with my mid-2009 Macbook Pro.
A month or so ago, I began having an issue with my macbook charging. When the computer is up and running and I plug in the magsafe it will say "Calculating..." and then say "Not Charging" and then switch to battery use. It constantly does this as long as the magsafe is connected. The lights on the magsafe will constantly cycle from green to amber to no light.
At first, it would do it a few times then it would start charging. Now it constantly does this without ever stopping. I was editing video the other day for a while and it never stopped the cycle.
Thinking it was the battery, I took it into the Apple Store last week and got a new battery because it had been saying "Service battery" for a while and the battery would only last about 20 minutes on a charge. So I just thought the battery finally refused to charge.
But the problem still exists.
The magsafe is new (only 3 months old) and here's the quirky thing: the computer will charge if it's asleep (lid closed) or shut down completely. No blinking lights at all. It will charge as long as it's asleep or shut down. So I don't think it's the charger. But as soon as you hit the power button to starting booting up, it will blink.
I have reset the SMC a couple times actually, but no change.
Is there something software/firmware related that I haven't tried? Any insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated before I take it back to the Apple Store (which is about an hour away).
Thanks!Try resetting the system management controller

In the template I group the data based on CLASSIFICATION and then sort on the same column CLASSIFICATION. I have a page-break applied for every group.
When I generate the PDF, I am not getting the page-breaks for every group. Instead some of them are displayed in the same page.
But when I remove the sorting that I had in the template on the column CLASSIFICATION, I am getting the output in the desired way but not in a sorted order.
kumarHi All,
I am using MS-WORD 2007 and BI Publisher desktop 10.1.3.3.3.
When I use split-by-page-break, splitting is performed for every line .. but not for group of lines.
Can anybody throw some light on this?
FYI...
I am using this code:
?if: position() mod 6= 0?
?split-by-page-break:?
?end if?
(Of course with in tags)
in G_LINES loop.
Can anybody help me out :-(

Issue with PTO (Paid Time Off) quota generation
Hi All,
We have an issue with quota generation of PTO for our employees.
The issue goes like this:
We have a Paid time off for employees 5weeks( 200 hrs) for employees who have worked less than 5 years.
we have paid time off for employees 6 weeks ( 240 hrs) for employees who have worked more than 5 years.
we have the following logic that has to go in this config:
-- Our fiscal year starts on Feb 1st and ends on Jan end or Feb starts which has a full week of working days. ( ex: if 01/31/2012 falls on a Thursday the following Monday which has full 5 day working week would be the end of the fiscal year).
-- Depending on the working hours of the employees and the date of joining for the first year ( for new hires)0041 info type the eligibility gets varied and reduced. Ex( employees who joins on start of fiscal year and works 40hrs per week schedules is eligible for 200hrs of PTO. Employees who join in the month of august and works for 35 hrs per week ( i.e mid of fiscal year) would get 91 hrs of PTO.
I need to put this in the system. I am thinking this could be done with out tweaking PCR.I need help in configuring this in Absence quotas as to what are the things i need change in system config and how do i do it. Please help with some screen shots if possible. I really need this to get it done ASAP. Looking forward for help.
Thanks,
Chowdary. We use TM00 schema. Can i call TS15 and TS 12 rules into TM00 acheieve my issue of quota entilements?
Iam doing this because my businees needs to see if an employee chages his work schedule from 40 to 30 or 20 etc.. the PTO has to vary accordingly.
As the minimum eligibility is to work for 20 hrs to avail the PTO days. If at any point the employee drops it under 20 he will not be eligible till he work any this >= 20hrs per month so the evaluation has to check periodically to update the quota availability.... I need help plz suggest ... -
Issues with iMessage when switching data carrier (wifi - cellular)
So I have had this issue with my 5S and now my 6+ in iMessage. Not *always* but often enough I've run into issues sending messages via iMessage when I associate with wifi in that they don't send. I'll get an error message saying "not delivered" and it will stack as many outgoing messages I try to send. However, if I force the first message to send as text, subsequent messages will go through afterwards without issue. If I go from wifi to cellular I have no issues whatsoever and when I have these issues on wifi, my data works fine (incoming emails, Facebook notifications, etc.). I used to run cellular data only because I had unlimited but now I have a cap so I intend on using wifi when possible...but to have to send my first message as a text just so I can use iMessage is annoying...
Hi there BigDogg795,
I would recommend taking a look at the troubleshooting steps for iMessage found in the article below.
iOS: Troubleshooting Messages - Apple Support
To resolve issues with sending and receiving iMessages, follow these steps
Check iMessage system status for current service issues.
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and make sure that you registered iMessage with your phone number or Apple ID and that you selected iMessage for use. If the phone number or Apple ID isn't available for use, troubleshoot iMessage registration.
Open Safari and navigate to www.apple.com to verify data connectivity. If a data connection isn't available, troubleshoot cellular data or a Wi-Fi connection.
iMessage over cellular data might not be available while you're on a call. Only 3G and faster GSM networks support simultaneous data and voice calls. Learn which network your phone supports. If your network doesn't support simultaneous data and voice calls, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi on to use iMessage while you're on a call.
Restart your device.
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on your iPhone.
If you still can't send or receive an iMessage, follow these steps
Make sure that the contact trying to message you isn't blocked in Settings > Messages > Blocked.
Make sure that the contact you're trying to send a message to is registered with iMessage.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up or forward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, delete and recreate the contact in the Contacts app. Create a new message to the newly created contact and try again.
Back up and restore your device as new.

Issues with WebForm performance
Hi,
We had migrated a new application from UAT to PROD and we encounter webform performance issues with the following actions..
After login, the first form you open it is
always slow. After this you can switch from one form to another without a
delay.
Then once you change any data – the next time
you access a form it gets delayed.
The point to be noted is, it doesnt have any performance issues in the UAT environment and the configuration settings, essbase cache settings are all the same. We did try to move the EPM system to a new server to see if this is a hardware issue but no luck, the performance issues still exist. The consumption of the CPU/memory has been checked and it is proved that the form opening delay has nothing to do with lack of memory.
The JVM head settings is set up at 4GB which is infact higher than that of the UAT environment(2GB).
runs on Windows server2008,11.1.2.1.600 EPM serve, has planning, reporting, foundation on one server (32GB ram) and essbase on another server (32GB ram). Any help is appreciated.

So I'll try replying in here instead:
I never thought it could be an emulator issue, I thought I had done something wrong to begin with. So I take having performance issues with tiled layer is not a common problem I suppose?
I'm using MOTODEV SDK platform, A1200 model (motorola). -
Issues with using 3 monitors on 2 external gpu
Hi,
I have some issues with configuring Xorg to use 3 monitors. I have 2 external graphic cards (same model, no SLI). Monitors connected to the first gpu are recognized ok but I can't configure my 3rd monitor conencted to the second gpu via HDMI nor DVI.
1st is recognized as DVI-I-1, 2nd is DP-1 in first card, 3rd monitor is in second card (bus 22:00.0) as DP-1-2 (also tried connecting as DVI-I-2). I can see them in Xorg log but I can't configure my 3rd monitor via kscreen nor xrandr. :-/

Thanks for any help!I have a similar issue except with two ATI cards and four monitors.
I have a working xorg.conf that uses Xinerama and all 4 work but have been trying to get xrandr to work since xinerama is deprecated supposedly.
I would like to switch to xrandr but there is some kind of magic voodoo I have with my current xorg.conf that doesn't even work on an exact same machine and cards that I tried to setup for a co-worker.

My Xorg.0.log shows all the DVI connections when I don't use a xorg.conf file but only two are "connected"
I see DVI-0 and DVI-1 connected and in "xrandr -q" but in Xorg.0.log I see DVI-1-2 and DVI-1-3.
xrandr --listproviders show the two cards as well.
Tried "xrandr --setprovideroutputsource 1 0" and they show up in KDE but as clones and then X crashes eventually.
"xrandr --setprovideroutputsource 0 1" just plain crashes X -
BW 3.5 - Issue with formula variable with replacement path
Dear experts,
I'm facing an issue with formula variable with replacement path.
Just to clarify, I know replacement paths is raising a lot of questions but I've been using this functionnality extensively in the past, both in 7.0 and 3.5, so I'm not looking for basic information about how to use it.
I'm trying to setup a simple report that would show total values per plant of Purchase Order < 100
To do so I've setup a calculated key figure as follow:
VAR1 * ("PO value" < 100 ) * "PO value"
VAR1 is a formula variable with replacement path on 'purchase order' and value attribute 'constant =1'.
(The report has to show values summarized by plant but should not show the detail PO by PO, so I'm not looking at a solution based on condition)
The report as characteristic "plant" in rows and my CKF in columns.
Now let's take an example. I have 3 POs in Plant 1:
PO1 -> 150
PO2 -> 90
PO3 -> 80
Because of the variable with replacement path, the result in my query should be:
plant1 = 170 (even though characteristic "purchase order" is not in my rows, system should evaluate PO one by one and return values only for those two that are below 100).
But the result coming is 320, which is wrong.
I've done the same report on many other 3.5 systems and it worked perfectly, and I am not able to get proper support from SAP OSS who keep saying that this functionnality is not ready in 3.5 (although I've provided screenshot of this working on another 3.5 system!!! how frustrating...)
They have also pointed to problems of Before and After aggregation but that has absolutely no impact. Once again, the scenario is working perfectly on other 3.5 systems with the same query design, so i'm sure it has nothing to do with Query Designer options.
Would anyone have ever come to an equivalenet problem? I'm wondering whether the DB itself could not play a role in the variable with ref characteristic 'constant =1' ...
Any though is welcome!
thanksHi,
The text variable is replaced when the exact date is clear for this key figure column according to the restriction.
To achive this, please make sure that either the variable is directly restricted in the key figure selection, or that the date characteristic is in drilldown.

Patricia
