Issue with Logitech Bluetooth mouse

Hi everyone!
I have some problems in correctly configuring my Logitech v270 bluetooth mouse. I followed all the steps in http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Bluetooth_Mouse, but I still can't connect automatically at startup. Each time I boot my laptop, I must type
/etc/rc.d/bluetooth stop
/etc/rc.d/bluetooth start
at the root prompt to get it work.
Please note that I also completed this step: I added to my /etc/rc.local this line:
hidd --connect <enter here your bluetooth mouse address (No capitals!!!)>
Some ideas?
Thank you!

Same issue,  been a problem since I purchased last Christmas.  Sometimes I want to throw this piece of crap out and buy a mac.  Lenovo, get your head out of your ass.

  • Issue with HP Bluetooth Mouse z5000

I love this mouse. It worked great, scrolled smoothly across my screens. Now it lags. It holds up. I changed the battery, but it continues to have the same issue. I have tried completely removing it from the bluetooth profile on my computer and reconnecting it back. I get the same issue. Help! I love this mouse!

Yes, just purchased the same mouse works well but only sometimes.  Depending on the weather I guess. After connecting via Bluetooth the curser lags, judders, accelerates and stalls, not keeping up with your hand movements at all. Similarly the mouse key presses can lag and be quite retarded. The strangest thing it does this based on no known or obvious conditions.  I get it to work eventually by re-booting the PC. Problem is that it takes 5 or 6 re-boots to clear out the issue. I have tried to download the drivers but HP only have drivers for the z6000 and not the z5000.
Anyone have any ideas what may be causing this, and more importantly, how to fix it?

  • Ipad 2 can't see logitech bluetooth mouse M557

    Hi,
I made sure that this mouse would connect to my ipad 2 before I bought it and other bluetooth equipment. My iPad sees and connects to everything else but not the mouse. I am able to connect the mouse fine to my HP laptop.
I've checked the Apple website ant this logitech bluetooth mouse M557 (http://www.logitech.com/en-ch/product/bluetooth-mouse-m557) should connect to Mac OS and IPad 2.  Is that simply not true or am I doing something wrong.  I've checked the driver is up-to-date via laptop, I've restarted everything several times and I've tried googling to see if others have had an issue. The only think I've found is a way to "hack" my iPad but i REALLY don't want to do this!!
    Can anyone help me please?
    Thanks in advance!!

  • Ugly issue with my Magic Mouse

I have a Magic Mouse that has work essentially flawlessly for quite a while.
I run VMware Fusion so I can run Windows XP and the Magic Mouse worked great there as well. Tonight I was trying something and I told VMware Fusion to connect the Apple Bluetooth USB Host Controller to Windows XP. Well, at this point my Magic Mouse connectivity stopped and man did my troubles begin.
I quickly told Vmware to disconnect the USB Host Controller from Windows but this hasn't fixed my new issues with the Magic Mouse. At this point my Magic Mouse is barely functional.
    The symptoms are this:
    - If I disconnect the mouse using the tool bar blue tooth indicator and then reconnect it, the blue tooth indicator says the mouse is connected but it doesn't work. I have to physically power down the mouse and back on before it work.
    - When it does kinda work, the mouse at times "jumps" across the screen so I have to be very careful how quickly I move it at times.
    - The multi-touch scroll feature no longer works. It worked in Windows XP as well ... not any more.
    - When I click on the bluetooth icon and try to bring up the Mouse Properties it takes QUITE a long time.
When I try to get the system to "discover" the mouse again, it can take quite a long time and the following shows up in the Console App:

    Any idea anyone ?
P.S. I'm sssssoooo freak'n mad to VMware right now.

Sounds to me like you have one of several issues going on there.
You may have a lot of interference in the same frequency as your bluetooth device.
Or - you may have a bad bluetooth transceiver in either your mouse or your computer.
Take the mouse to another computer with bluetooth on it and sync it to that - if it works fine then your computer or your environment is the culprit there ( um this assumes that you took your mouse to another location, say your friends house where the interference threshold is bound to be different than at your house), and you should then take your computer out of the house for the day, and see how the mouse works away from home.
If the mouse is bad - you will have issues if you take it to another location - replace it - check warranty
If you think is is your house / place you have your computer, that may contain an the interference that messes with your mouse:
Try turning everything off you can think of in your house / office, and see if it gets better. Also - a big one - make sure that your computer and mouse are not to close to any speakers / etc, as they do have a magnetic field that could cause a mess with bluetooth mice. (rare but it happens)
As you can see in your error message:
    10/7/10 2:32:59 AM kernel 0f5f3900AppleMultitouchHIDEventDriver::start entered
10/7/10 2:33:02 AM kernel BNBMouseDevicewaitForDatad8-30-62-38-b8-ff Timeout waiting for data
10/7/10 2:33:02 AM kernel BNBMouseDevicegetExtendedReport getReport returned error e00002d6
it made a connection - then timed out -
Also check the silly things - like are the batteries dead?
Last thing I can think of - is to delete the mouse all together, then re-discover it -
Um - after replacing the batteries of coursse - just to be SURE.
Then you can turn everything back on in vmware etc - you may also want to make sure that you have the latest version and additions etc installed.
    Good luck!

  • Chromebook 14 & Logitech Bluetooth Mouse

I'm trying to operate my HP Chromebook 14, with a Logitech Bluetooth Mouse.
    The Chromebook model is 14-Q063cl.
The Logitech mouse model is M-RCQ142
The Logitech Mouse is recognized, and works correctly for a while, then randomly stops working.
It is necessary to Disable Bluetooth then re-"Enable" Bluetooth on the Chromebook, to get it to work again (for a few minutes).
    What is the problem?

Which model are you using? I am using the Logitech  Performance MX.

  • Issue with Logitech MX1000 - losing reception - base is only 2 feet away...

I made the move to the MBP about 2 weeks ago after being a sole windows user. I'm now having an issue using my logitech MX1000 mouse on here and was hoping someone could give me an idea as to what is going on. Now and then I will just lose reception. Clicking becomes unresponsive and the movement is choppy to the point where I cant even move around. Other times it is perfectly fine. This appears to not be an issue when I boot into windows - only os-x. Is anyone else seeing this issue?

Hi, I have a Logitech MX1000 mouse, which is an outstanding device, but I’m using it with my Linux box.
What I’m curious about (and asked earlier without getting any answer) is whether this wireless mouse is actually a Bluetooth compatible device? I’ve always used it with its own base station, and I have assumed the wireless protocols it uses were proprietary.
Are you using the base station or are you connecting to it from the Mac directly using its wireless capability with the Mac’s Bluetooth interface?
    Thanks.

  • Logitech bluetooth mouse too sensitive

    Hello!
Well, I have a bluetooth, Logitech Notebook mouse. I'm not sure of the exact model number, but I believe it's the V270, as in this mouse:
    http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/downloads/software/US/EN,crid=1792,contentid=1 1016,osid=9
I linked to the driver "download" page - that is, if there was one. True, it works just fine with OS X's built in drivers, but it's way too fast. I have moved the mouse sensitivity to the second-to-lowest point in the OS X mouse prefs pane, but it's far too fast and imprecise. If I move it to the lowest point, it's far far too slow. WIthout a logitech driver, I'm kinda stuck between having a bluetooth mouse that's too sensitive, and a Microsoft USB mouse that's a bit uncomfortable (a bit too big). My Powerbook didn't come with a mouse.
Speaking of which, I have a PowerBook 15" 1.67 G4 model, running OS 10.4.8, with built in bluetooth. I have it sitting on top of my 3/4" inch thick desk - made out of particleboard - and the mouse on the tray just below. the mouse is less than a foot from the PowerBook's optical drive, to the lower right, so's probably not an issue with bad reception.
Does anyone have an idea of how to lower sensitivity? A third-party plugin? A terminal command? Automator? Something?
    Thanks a bunch,
    -Dan

    Woah, that was fast!
Yes, I've tried that download. It seems to be looking for a USB connection, such as one of those mice with a USB transmitter. It says "No Logitech Device Found"
    That's the problem.
Both Macupdate and the logitech site link to the same program, BTW.
I'll look into Steermouse and USB overdrive, but again, No USB connection at all, since it connects directly to the built-in-USB card.
    Thanks for the fast response,
    -Dan
Oooh! Look at that! It's snowing! Again! (sigh....)
    I'm ready for spring now....

  • Logitech bluetooth mouse not found on restarting Mac Pro

    hi
for some time now I have been using a logitech V270 bluetooth mouse with my Mac Pro which has a bluetooth 2.0 card installed. all works fine except that when i restart my Mac Pro the mouse is generally not automatically detected and i get the 'bluetooth mouse setup' screen with the message 'there isn't a mouse connected'. i then need to press the reset button on the mouse and go through the usual connection procedure.
i wonder i anyone has any advice as to how i can get this set up so that the Mac Pro automatically connects
    thanks

    Hello all -
I found a solution to this by using Bluetooth Explorer. I had previously tried this and it didn't work, however I realized that I was using an old version of Bluetooth Explorer! When I downloaded the newest version from apple, it worked like a charm and I was able to select which Bluetooth adapter I wanted to use. Switched it over to the USB dongle and it works perfect now. No more skipping mouse, woo hoo!

  • Crashes with different bluetooth mouse

I bought a Macally bluetooth mouse (BTMOUSEJR) a while ago for my iMac. Whenever I use it with the builtin bluetooth module, the system has suspend issues and either eventually crashes, or hangs in 'sleep mode' when shutting down.
The mouse works fine with a separate bluetooth module (usb), but this doesn't work as convenient in general (i.e. no wake from usb device, finding keyboard/mouse takes al long time, etc)
I've tried everything I could think of, I've even consulted the online support chat twice without success.
My guess is that there's an issue with the builtin bluetooth module, either firmware, hardware, or kernel driver.
I have noticed that the imac wakes when the mouse itself goes to sleep and disconnects, something the Apple BT mouse doesn't seem to do.

Yes, our mouse behaves exactly the same way. I've gone back to an RF mouse.

  • Problems with HP Bluetooth Mouse x4000b with HP Elitebook laptop

Hi - I bought an HP EliteBook laptop earlier this year and a few months ago purchased a HP Bluetooth Mouse x4000b (after losing a different mouse during travel).  I've had terrible problems, almost since the beginning, with the mouse just not working.  Sometimes it works if I switch the batteries (flip the positions of the existing ones) but that tends to last only for a short time.  I replaced the originally batteries (which were supposedly good for 9 months) after just 3 months; and have just replaced the replacements and the problem is still unsolved.  I've checked the drivers; I can't find a power setting for Bluetooth on my HP laptop (someone with a Dell had that).  I've turned the mouse off, rebooted, turned the mouse on and reconnected; I've tried turning the mouse off and on again; I've tried to ensure that the batteries are in snugly with the plastic piece that sits over that batteries inserted as far back into the body of the mouse as possible (replicating the setup that I found when I first opened the mouse up to deal with this problem).  Any suggestions?  Or can anyone suggest a better mouse?

    Hello ayd135,
It is helpful if you would post the full model number of your Elitebook please.
Read through this HP Bluetooth manual to see how to use the HP Wireless assistant to help troubleshoot issues.
    http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c01948661
Read through the info above first and try the steps.
If this still does not solve the problem, then it sounds like you have a faulty mouse considering the battery issue you described. In which case, the only fix would be to replace the mouse.
    Pundravac,
Even though you have an Elitebook also, your's could be a completely different issue. Did you install all the latest drivers for your old XP machine after installing Windows 7 on it?
Please post your question in a new thread and post the full model number of that laptop also.
    Thank you.

  • Any issue about Apple Bluetooth mouse ???

    Hello there
I was reading so many issues about the Apple Bluetooth mouse in the Apple Store page for this item.
I was reading it because i want to change my Kensington PilotMouse for the Apple mouse. Actually i have so many issues with the PilotMouse, like the lately wake up on the sytem startup, battery eater and so many times work in slowly way.
I don't want nothing of this with the Apple mouse and i read all of this in the feedback pages. I love the 3 buttoms from the PilotMouse but i prefer the technically "no problem way" from Apple.
Any of you know any issue about the Apple Bluetooth mouse (before go to store for one) ???
I have a good experience with the Apple Bluetooth keyboard (i have one), but i don't know nothing about the mouse.
Thanks for any recommendations or comment about this item.

  • MAC OS X 10.6.3 issues with iTunes/Magic mouse

This is strange. Somehow I was able to upgrade Snow Leopard 10.6 to 10.6.3. How was that possible? I did this about a week or so ago. 10.6.3 is not available on Apple's download site today 2-7-2010. How did I get access to it?
A couple of weeks ago, I bought the Snow Leopard CD and installed it over my Tiger OS, without any problems. Then i bought a wireless keyboard and magic mouse which prompted me to upgrade Snow Leopard to 10.6.2., as well as upgrade the software to the wireless peripherals. Went to Apple's download page and somehow downloaded OS X 10.6.3. Hmmm? I also installed the latest security update at this time too. After all installs, at this point, I wasn't experiencing any issues with my laptop.
But then, I upgraded iTunes to 9.0.3. At this point I started experiencing problems after shutting down and then booting up the next day. iTunes began playing music slowly, music wasn't garbled, but the songs sounded out of tune (playing from my hard drive). Also, my wireless magic mouse got jumpy and exhibited delayed reaction. I ended up reinstalling OS X 10.6 (from the cd) over the existing OS (10.6.3), and now iTunes works just fine. The reinstall of OS X 10.6 from the cd did wipe out my software upgrades for the wireless peripherals and i have yet to upgrade them. i'm just glad iTunes is working well again.
My questions are: Was the problem with iTunes playing slowly an iTunes issue? Or was the root problem from the upgrade to OS X 10.6.3, and therefor an OS problem? Why was my mouse also displaying problems? And how was I able to get OS X 10.6.3 from Apple several days ago when they don't have that version available for download on the site today? Confusing.

My questions are: Was the problem with iTunes playing slowly an iTunes issue? Or was the root problem from the upgrade to OS X 10.6.3, and therefor an OS problem?
Even if a user has access to the beta, and knew of an issue they are working on, he/she would not be able to comment on it here. This forum is only for OS's that have been released and is covered by a Terms of Use agreement.
Sounds like you got an unintended update in some sort of fluke accident, and since you've removed it, there's no way of telling what caused the problem or if it was the OS or program or both.
